Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Once again, Trevor’s legs had carried him to a new city and a new experience. The Lavender Forest had been a truly thrilling sight with it’s deep pink trees that waved softly in the summer breeze. It was so utterly different from the rough, stone-hewn keeps of the North and the glacial winds that blew from the mountains. Here, he thought, a person could feel at ease. There were elements of the place that seemed soothing. Right now, he was sitting beside a babbling fountain and taking a breather, watching the crowds pass by.

One person in particular was drawing his attention. He looked to be close to Trevor’s age and he had the most striking hair that the youth had ever seen. It was nearly as pink as the trees in the Lavender Forest and it was fascinating. In spite of all of his best efforts, Trevor was also drawn to the lithe appearance of the young man’s body. His movements were elegant and easy. In the North, the sort of look that he was giving the pink-haired lad could get him beaten. In this place, no one seemed to notice.

His face had a certain feral attractiveness to it and Trevor continued to gaze at it. It was at that point that the young man turned around and his strange yellow eyes locked with the Northern youth’s gaze. There was no way that Trevor could look away, such was the depth of those strange eyes. It was as though something compelled him to keep looking. He found himself wish that the other youth would come closer to him.

Poinsettia, the city where he belonged to. For now, at least. The more he took more missions from the guild, he was slowly becoming a citizen of the kingdom, but during times of rest, this part of the kingdom was his home. And on this particular day of rest, he and his companion had agreed to give the other some time alone and enjoy the city as much as they could. Sometimes, this was needed, especially when they had recently had a fight of some sort, and unlike how many would tease them about it being a lover’s quarrel, they sort of feel that it was somehow true.

In any case, as he now explores the more crowded areas of the city, he spotted a small street shop of souvenirs. He couldn’t help but look and be amazed at the many items on sale and perhaps he had forgotten all about time because of it. Though sometime through it, he felt a shiver on his spine. It was almost as if someone was glaring him, he thought, so he carefully and casually glanced about to check (and just so that he wouldn’t truly be paranoid). But as he did so, his eyes caught another’s – beautiful blue orbs that belonged to a youth of similar age and brown hair, and rather sweet and charming features. He was, in a way, caught offguard.

So he blushed when he realised that he was staring too long and turned around quickly, crouching back in front of the many souvenirs and try to pretend that he was busy with them. He was just a random stranger, after all, so perhaps he could just get rid of this embarrassment quickly. But to leave that area immediately would only make him looks suspicious. So he decided to play it casually as possible and try to act naturally.

Yet, why did it feel as though those piercing blue eyes were still at him, and he couldn’t help but turn redder by the second, prompting him to wear the hoodie of his jacket to hide the tint.

The hope that this strange pink haired lad would come closer seemed to be a futile one for Trevor. Despite the meeting of their gazes, the other young man seemed intent on avoiding him, but something in the Northerner told him that he should try to seize the initiative. After all, this was a big city and not some little outpost on the edge of a vast wilderness. Who would know or care what he did here? Besides who could fault an innocent conversation with a strange? No, Trevor decided, it was time to put on a confident face and move forward.

It took a few strides of the lanky youth’s long legs to cross the square and bring him next to the pink-haired lad. He found his cheeks turning slightly red as well but used his training as a noble to come across calmly and naturally. He wasn’t quite sure how to break the ice in this instant but relied on confidence and the knowledge that he could be engaging to people as he said, “Hello! I couldn’t help but noticing your fascinating hairstyle. It is quite original and I’m most impressed by the colour. How do you achieve it? I do hope you’ll pardon my rather rude intrusion but I’m from the North and we don’t see such originality and style there! My name's Trevor by the way. Trevor Purfoil.”

Trevor had no idea if this slightly odd advance would be taken well or badly. However, he’d learned that sometimes the old saying “Nothing ventured, nothing gained” was quite true. Putting oneself forward could be the best way to draw others out.

He was almost certain that he was now on the safe side. He felt relieved, despite the wary feeling that he was still being watched. Nevertheless, it was time to be safe and just leave the area in order not to stress too much about it. Carefully, Keiran stood up and was just about to leave when he turned and came face to face with the said stranger. And before he could even speak, the other got the better of him and introduced himself to Keiran.

To be honest, he would be suspicious of the other at all cost. He knew better than to simply allow himself to fall into traps in this strange new country as he was still fairly new around Fiore, but there was also something in the other’s words that felt genuine. No, in fact, he was as real as any other man could be and maybe even more. And that was reflected through his blue eyes that was becoming ever more attractive to Keiran.

“I… I’m Keiran,” he finally replied as he held out a hand to hold the other in a handshake. It took another moment for Keiran to finally get a hold of his composure and when he did, he smiled and proceeded, “I’m not sure about hair colors as I think this is fairly outlandish but nothing out and surprising. But you said you were from the North?”

Immediately, his mind began to recall of what he had heard of the Northern People. No doubt they would have more knowledge pertaining to mysterious magic and traditional curses than an orthodox mage in this the city. Perhaps this was his big break to find out more. “Strange how fate landed you here in front of me, or otherwise, because I was hoping to go to the North one day in search of knowledge.”

Surely, that was it. That the reason he was now intrigued about the other was his origin, otherwise, why the hell would his heart still beat strangely and he would still fight from blushing. Though he must say, the other was beautiful and charming.

Despite looking rather fragile, the pink-haired lad had a strong handshake, although not as strong as Trevor’s but he probably hadn’t been swinging a sword every day for years. His skin felt slightly more cool to the touch than the tall young man would have expected but that was neither here, nor there. He smiled quickly and said, “It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Keiran. I guess it depends on what one considers outlandish. At any rate, yes, I am from the North!”

He paused and raised an eyebrow at the other youth’s next statement before answering, “What sort of knowledge were you hoping to find in the North? We aren’t exactly brimming over with scholarship, you know. That’s part of the reason that I’m down here. My tribe has sent me out to see the world and gain more knowledge of it. It’s something every young man in my tribe must do.”

Keiran’s blushing was making Trevor react the same way. He wasn’t sure precisely what to feel now, but he knew that he had to absorb as much new information as possible, as quickly as possible. He had to fill himself with experiences and try everything new. This was the time of life that was to be savoured and fully enjoyed so he was going to throw himself into it with everything he had.

Keiran paused for a moment to think about what the other had said. If it was hardly a place to warrant knowledge in form of scholarship adventures, it must be different from the rumours he had heard of. Or perhaps this was the perspective of those who came from the village and thought better of the outside world.

“Well, I always think there’s a reason why places as secluded and tribes can be call for such tests of bravery and maturity from their young ones. It only means that they are a community of great faith and strength, as well as knowledge from around the world,” replied Tristan as he looked away for a moment as he suddenly became aware that he was acting strange and blushing. This was bad. His companion’s strange affection may have already rubbed off on him that he was actually finding this new acquaintance of his very charming.

“You know, I know someone who is rather deep with his own tribe’s culture and rules. He’s very pushy and bossy, but he’s clever and also charming like you,” he then said before realising what he had just said and quickly stepped back and tried to rectify his error, “I mean, not that you aren’t, you are, but I’m not into that, no. I’m just…” And he was turning red like a tomato before he cleared his throat, feigned coughing and then suggested that, “So, want to grab a drink? Maybe you can save me the trouble of going to the North if I can get to interview, huh?”

He quickly turned and started to walk, stiffly, “There’s a cafe over here… I think.”

Trevor felt like he was vaguely drifting out of control in this situation. Now that Keiran had let the word ‘charming’ slip out, everything felt considerably more awkward than it had prior to that comment. Now there was no doubt that the other youth’s mind was moving in a similar direction. The pale skin that Trevor had was prone to turning bright red when he blushed and that’s exactly what was happening. He managed to stutter, “Uh...uh s-sure I’d like...that.”

He put his head down and shuffled behind Keiran quickly, trying not to make any eye contact with the young man and his brilliant yellow eyes. They sat down at an outside table and while they waited for someone to come along and take their order, Trevor tried to regain himself as he said, “I don’t know if I can tell you what you need to know, Keiran, but I’m sure willing to try. I mean I can’t help but want to help someone as..as….uh….interested as you are in m...in the North!”

This last phrase came rushing out and Trevor wanted to crawl under his traveling cloak and hide. He felt completely embarrassed by what he was feeling and the fact that he couldn’t stop blushing wasn’t helping any. The serving girl came and took their orders and finally the lean young man took a breath and said, “So go on and ask me what you want to know. I’m ready!

As they made their way to an outdoor type cafe, Keiran noticed how Trevor had suddenly seemingly have turned rather shy. Well, he figured he may have been a little too pushy to ask the other for the interview. Maybe he should apologize or something? But before he could, the other had spoken about how there could be a limit as to how much help he could give about the interview. Ah! So it really was because he was being pushy. Kieran felt a bad and quickly gave the other a thumbs up sign, saying, “Don’t worry, Trevor, I’m sure anything you can help him with is worth much than what I could do on my own. Besides, if your tribe was confident enough let you out to the to world to gain knowledge of the outside world, it means you’re ready!”

Then they were greeted by the young waitress to get their orders before quickly going away with them. At that, Keiran looked back with a smile seeing as how Trevor was now more comfortable than before. “That’s more like it. For a moment there, I thought I had scared you stiff since you were acting so shy. I mean, where was all that confidence from earlier gone to, huh? Anyway, just because you said so that you’re ready doesn’t mean I’m pulling any punches.”

So quickly, Keiran took out his leather journal, flipped it through, showing a bit of the doodling and rather strange handwriting he had. Seriously, even his school teachers would think he was inventing a new sort of language because of his handwriting. And so, he pulled out a pen and was ready to write away as the interview went.

“Now then. Let’s start by asking you about your tribe. Where are you located? What are your customs? And who would have the authority over magical knowledge and lore over there?”[/colo]

Trevor shook his head and said, “Sometimes my confidence takes a holiday. It’s hard to know how to act sometimes out here in the world. I guess that’s why they send us out into the world, so we can learn how best to deal with it. Now I think that I’m relaxed enough though.”

It felt strange for the slender youth to be questioned in this way. He wasn’t accustomed to having so many direct inquiries made of him. As a noble, he was more used to asking others to explain themselves, but this was an opportunity to see things from another perspective. He had to admit that he’d learned far more out here than he ever had in any lessons taught by his tutors. He leaned back and felt a twinge of homesickness at the questions before he answered, “Our tribe lives on the northern edge of Fiore near the wall of the mountains. Our customs would take a long time to explain but we believe in honour, pride and courage. We believe that we must stand as one or fall together. We believe that it is better to fight well than to live in bondage to anyone.”

Trevor took a breath and continued, “The lore and magical knowledge of our people is held by the Wolf Wizards. They are tasked with guarding it and developing it. One of my uncles is a Wolf Wizard. Now what else do you need to know, Keiran.”

He watched his companion through half-hooded eyes. Every one of his motions and mannerisms seemed elegant and lovely to the young man. He looked away immediately before Keiran could catch his gaze however and waited to hear what would come next.

Keiran tried to digest the other’s words for the moment. It would seem that there would be a bit of a problem with gathering information like this. He may have to take drastic measures just to ascertain the information he truly needed. In fact, he could almost feel as though there was something that the other was hiding from him. Nevertheless, he was quite glad that the other was seemingly open with talking with him. He was, at first, a bit apprehensive that the other would even bother to talk to him at all. But now, he could almost see tell that this would be an opportunity he cannot ever let slip by.

“Ah, well, there are actually a lot more I would really like to ask, to be honest. I mean, I am a rather inquisitive person, you see,” said Keiran as he raised a hand to his chin, rubbing as he began to think of how to go about this situation now. That was until an idea filled him and he seemed to look quite victorious for a moment. “I know, let’s go for dinner! We can talk all day and then we can talk all night. I have lots more to ask, after all and perhaps the best way to repay you for this is for me to actually take care of you properly.”

He then led the other, rather insistently as he grabbed Trevor by the hand and would lead him down the street. He really planned to have a long talk with him but in order to set things for an interesting conversation, he had to make sure that he knew the right questions to ask. Perhaps a short stroll would help. Either way, he wasn’t planning on rushing it. This lad, after all, would be the best primary source he could for miles.
