Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

If anything, her Jinrai had damaged the coiling water snake shield, but the man remained apparently unharmed. Cleia hid her rising consternation behind a mask of indifference bordering on aversion. At this rate, there was almost nothing she could do to put a dent in this guy. Which meant that he could as well destroy her with a figurative flick of his wrist. Deep down, Cleia was frightened to her bones; she was after all, a girl. It wasn't normal for the average person to have nerves of steel. Not even all soldiers, save some well seasoned veterans could boast of such. Oh, and fools who could not discern danger when it was staring them in the face... and most of such were extinct.

However, she chose not to flee, for two main reasons. One, someone's life was on the line here, and she was not willing to abandon Benzio to any gruesome fate, if she could help it. Two, she had a reputation to protect: that of her personality, and her guild. Whatever happened after this day, even if she did not make it out alive, at least the story would be that she went down fighting.

The dark mage decided to introduce himself, and he showed her his guild symbol. Tartaros. She didn't know much about the guild, save that they seemed to be trigger happy individuals who liked collateral damage... okay, in that, Fairy Tail and Tartaros were not too different, but at least Fairy Tail's destructive tendencies were not deliberate. Secondly, she had not known what type of water magic he was using, but with his description and location of his guild symbol, it could be no other person than the one she had heard of in the guild.

Yep, she had paddled all the way up s**t creek, but she wasn't going to back down. Instead, with a calm voice that belied her trepidation, she replied, and with a coy smirk of her own, said:

"Goodness me! You're the Water Dragon of Tartaros. I'm so very much overwhelmed, really. And since I'm a nobody, I dare not introduce myself, for fear that it may look like an insult. I must say I'm honored by your presence, though I can't help but wonder why a mage as famous as yourself would bother with a simple, run-of-the-mill mission like this one? Don't say it was boredom; surely, the great Tsunami himself has got better things to do, no?"

Her smile faded slightly. "You talk like I desire to fight, but it is simply necessity at this point, that I must. Though..."

The demure smile returned. "... if you're really a gentleman, you could just step aside with a bow and let me in, I'll probably sing your praises, and I'll take the playwright and leave."

Suijin smirked at her as she started talking, finally glad to see the girl actually being a bit more vocal. "Fight or flight is the only natural impulse in the world. You certainly are one to talk, Fairy Tail wizard. " he said, knowing well their reputation. "Besides, I'm not so little a man to nitpick over what missions I get."

"Oh, and one minor detail," he said before raising his hand, and a flash of blue light radiated from it.

Suddenly below Cleia-- the same Water Dragon Magic Circle appeared below her feet. Out of nowhere, water gathered and tendrils of water appeared. IT was the Water Dragon Kraken Whip, a water spell used to immobilize and tie up enemies. Encircling her, the tendrils of water proceeded to wrap around her in a rather... lewd fashion, over her arms, legs and crawling like the tentacles of a large sea creature.

"... I prefer the role of the 'bad boy' over being a gentlemen, " he commented as he tied her up, the clear look of a pervy grin on his face as he viewed his handiwork.

At that time, Cleia could hear the sounds behind the door-- soft shouts and cries of 'Stop! No more" from behind the door but she couldn't see. Neither could Suijin.

"It would be a real shame to end this so soon, but before we get serious, I have an offer for you. " he offered. Considering her position it would seem almost lewd to offer her anything like that. But considering Suijin's rather playboyish reputation, it was not that shocking. "You got potential, but wasted in that guild of hypocrites. So... Why don't you join us? Tartaros could use someone of your skills, and certainly would make you stronger. what do you say?" he said with a smirk.

It was almost a clash of an enticement and a chance to recruit a subjectable young mage to join Tartaros' power.

Cleia did not expect the sudden surprise 'attack' from beneath her, and so naturally, she was ensnared. What got under her skin (almost literally) was the way the water tendrils snaked over her body. Matters made worse, she suddenly heard Benzio pleading for whatever was being done to him to stop. The color that had crept into Cleia's cheeks gave way to a more intense tone of red; embarrassment had given way to ire.

She wasn't strong enough to force her way through the watery bonds, but she had this one ace up her sleeves that could do it. Clenching her fists, she summoned a dangerously large number of runes, which coalesced into razor sharp sickles, fourteen of them. They appeared in mid-air, but before the could fall down, each one suddenly whirled around her in a very frenzied blade dance. Were she not immune to the effects of her Shakujou, the sickles would have shredded her into little ribbons. However, since they could not harm her unless she so desired, they sliced neatly through the water tendrils instead, freeing her in an instant.

Having been made uncomfortably self-conscious by this guy (something that she really hated), and not sure of the state Benzio would be in if she ever got to him, Cleia's mind focused on causing this man a notable degree of hurt. At this point, she cared little if he could crush her with but his little finger; she was in one of her more reckless states since she was already feeling vindictive. Snatching two of the sickles before they clattered to the ground, she hurled them at Suijin, then clicked her fingers. The remaining sickles shattered suddenly into runes, and surged towards him, hanging above him ominously. She clicked her fingers again...

... and in response, the runes descended in a dangerous cutting shower of falling sickles, right atop Suijin's head. In a seething voice, Cleia retorted:

"This is what I think about your offer, mister! I've had my fair share of dark mages, and they practically ruined my life! Not to mention that I don't need someone like you leering over my shoulder, with your... your degenerate mind!"

Her voice lost some of its edge, but the anger was still evident. "Call them hypocrites, if you will, but I'd rather pitch in my lot with hypocrites that won't stab me in the back. So, you can take your offer and shove it... shove it somewhere I don't want to know!"

Suijin was enjoying his playful taunts and the water tentacles pretty much immobilizing and coping a feel at her-- but that quickly ended that both disappointed but amused Suijin as she used her magic. She used her runes to create a series of blades and they effectively sliced through the water tendrils, causing them to dissolve back into harmless water that fell through the grates of the upper floor to the stage, simulating rain for the next performance right on time.

Besides her insults and heated response to the offer of joining Tartaros, it wasn't that unexpected she would spat it out in his face. But now it was time for him to get more serious. If she wanted to really fight, he was going to give her one.

She then jumped and attempted to strike Suijin from above. But Suijin reacted-- as he noticed his water dragon shield began to weaken and become less durable. While Suijin would be able to block it, some damage would indeed get through! As she struck, he saw the water begin to give.

Acting quickly, he sidestepped out of the path of the downward slash upon him. He made it just in time, avoiding it with his own unique skill and speed of martial arts. However-- it left a clear path for Cleia to get through and run to the door if she wished.

"PLease! Please stop! I beg you, enough! Noooo..." the playwrite cried from behind the door. Suijin moved to try and reach the door, to stop Cleia's approach...

What happened upon opening the door.

Suijin was very fast, she had to admit. If he was to take her seriously, she might end up with some serious injuries, but at least she hoped she had passed across the point that she was not to be taken lightly. Her 'rain' of sickles had missed him, some blocked by his water serpent, and the others evaded, but it was sufficient to destroy his snaky shield and convert it back to harmless water. As the water fell, part of Cleia's mind that was in charge of processing trivia wondered why no one below them had even bothered to look up. The more serious thinking part of her brain, however, was working at full tilt.

Suijin's evasion had left the path to the door open. She was already moving as he was stepping out of the way, running for all she was worth to get to the door. He noticed and tried to block her passage once more, but it seemed that her charge had taken him a little off guard. Besides, Benzio was still crying out in the room, and for now, her topmost priority was to get in there and get the crocodile off him. Images of blood and gore flashed through her mind, filling her with fear. Had he been wounded beyond salvation? Would he be thoroughly mauled by the time she got there? Just what kind of torture was being given to him to make him beg for it to stop? Benzio had some pride, she knew, and he seemed to be the kind of person with a great reserve of determination. Someone like him would probably refuse to yell in pain, just to show the dark mages that he would rather die than break...

Fortunately for her, Suijin missed her by an inch as her fingers closed over the door knob. She burst through and into the room, almost stumbling, but managing to catch herself in time. She was sure Suijin was following right behind her, and he could easily attack her. It was wisdom to turn to face his onslaught, though she suddenly realized that she was surrounded: croc in front, dark mage behind. However, once her eyes took in the sights of the room, she forgot about Suijin and stared.

Benzio was still incarcerated, though not an injury could be seen on him. He hadn't been even touched, for all intents and purposes, but the horror was very clear on his face. Cleia looked from him to Vector, who had been singing as she had entered. his voice was more or less awful, and wouldn't do at all for the kind of song he was... rehearsing (if you could call it that). Maybe it would have been better for some more intense genre of music.

Needless to say, both Suijin and herself were very surprised, but while Suijin was embarrassed, Cleia was amused. Benzio, for his part, looked almost relieved to see Suijin; he was just glad that Vector had stopped.

"Yes, please stop! I've... I've had it! You can't understand the murder you do to beautiful music! I daresay you are gifted, but please, audition for anything else that has no music in it! Or I can even give you a non-vocal role. Anything! But, please, stop singing!"

Cleia quietly stepped closer to Benzio as Suijin berated his pet. Benzio, clearly 'traumatized', was still 'rambling'. He looked at Cleia, and said, with pleading eyes, "Please! Save me from his songs!"

If Cleia had any thoughts that Benzio was still sane, they just flew out of the window. However, she couldn't help but chuckle at the hilarious incident, though she was still aware that the Tsunami of Tartaros was still a threat. With a mental gesture, the sickles that littered the floor outside the room transformed back to runes and returned to her, now hovering around herself and Benzio.

"Rail at him all you want," she said to Suijin, "but I think your alligator is more refined than yourself."

Her mind was already formulating a plan of escape...

It was a complete humiliation and he was glad no one from his guild was there to see this. "Vector... sometimes you really are a pain in the ass!" Suijin growled as he rubbed a hand over his face to alieve a headache.

"HEY!" Vector snapped back, holding his scrypt. "No one likes a critic! Besides, I'm a musical genius! You got no appreciation for art, ya know? Besides, I am destined to take the stage!" Vector said, in one of his delusional moments as he had sparkles flashing before his eyes at the thought of him being on the stage.

Suijin just frowned. He needs professional help... he thought.

Just as he was about to try and recover things-- he saw Cleia now begin to move for Benzio. She was about to move in and try to get him out. Suijin took action and raised a hand. "Oh no you don't!" he shouted, water magic pouring to him as drops of moisture appeared, and gathered to become something bigger. "Water Dragon Raging River!"

At that moment, the water grew in amount and soon took shape-- that of a fierce water dragon head as it shot forward into the small room.

But that was a hasty thing to do. Too much damage from the previous fight of Cleia's attacks and the weight of htis much water caused the foundation of the structure to creak and whine. Finally it wouldn't take any more. "Suijin wait the floor---"

CRACK!!

The grating of the upper platform suddenly caved in and they would soon fall. All four of them went plummeting down to the stage below. But it was an odd scene to drop down into.

As they would crash right to the stage and upon the actors as they interrupted a rather interesting mini-play that was going on.... "Andromeda and the Hydra"

Upon falling there, they would accidentally get covered in the actor's props and materials, especially Suijin and Vector, as they somehow had landed with the prop of the giant 'hydra' puppet on top of them, with Suijin being part of its body and head, while Vector was on top as its upper head, the rest being puppet like props.

While the story was Suppose to be Percius saving the princess from the sea monster, it seemed this play was about to get a major revision :P

(OOC: I think you can put two and two together here, but it is a little twist on the princess and the giant sea monster)

While the whole scene of Suijin and his pet crocodile was just downright funny, the dark mage was not very much distracted by his inspired reptile friend. As she got to Benzio, it was obvious he noticed, and was very much aware that she was trying to escape with Benzio. She saw the water gathering quickly around Suijin, and quickly backed away from Benzio... and in good time, too! The water around the dark mage transformed itself into a sort of massive liquid bullet shaped like a dragon's head. The projectile missed her head by a few feet, but hurtled on and crashed into the other side of the room.

She felt the entire little room quiver under the impact of the attack, and was quite thankful that it had not met her, else she would have been struck senseless by it. Her relief quickly gave way to slight panic, because the Water Dragon Raging River's impact caused the room that had been holding on by bits and pieces to entirely give way. An ominous creak heralded the coming of total collapse, as Vector tried to warn Suijin, and Cleia was only able to say one word, before the floor shattered into splinters and timbers:

"Uh-oh!"

The descent onto the stage below was very abrupt; Cleia didn't even have the time to whip out her ring and slip it on her finger. Fortunately, the fall was neither far not painful, and it was also a good thing that the battling mages had not fallen atop the spellbound crowd. Everyone ended up a large, confused tangled mass of draping, props and what-have-yous that make up live stage acting. Cleia almost laughed at the theme.

"Isn't this just grand! Andromeda and the sea monster... Though, even as the only girl on this cast, I seriously doubt I'll be the one playing Andromeda..."

Cleia almost instantly rid herself of the blanket-ish thing that covered her by summoning one sickle and crawling out of a large gash she just made. Once out, she glanced around to see the Suijin-Vector combo. They actually made a very good hydra. Cleia was minded to throw a Jinrai their way, while the props had them probably blinded, but she didn't want to fight dirty on this one, even though it seemed a very foolhardy idea. Instead, she focused on securing Benzio and getting him out of whatever entanglements he had gotten into, with her sickle.

"Alright, Mr. Andromeda, let's get you out of these bonds..."

The play had its actors alright, but everything apart from the Hydra (perhaps) was very much muddled up:
Benzio was Andromeda (strange...)
Cleia was Perseus (... very strange indeed...) and instead of a sword, she had some sickles.

"Now, all I need is Medusa's head..."

(OOC: Was thinking more YOU take the role of Andromeda reversed as you break free and become the heroine but whatever :P )

Suijin was befuddled as he slowly got up, feeling something heavy on him. Somehow he realized he wound up in the costume of one of the people that were now knocked out cold below him. Looking around and causing the other heads to move, he saw he was in the hydra suit-- with another person on top of him. NO doubt it was vector as he was stuck in the top head.

"Boy, this would make a weird photo!" Vector said as he was on top in one of the Hydra's mouths... and then noticed the large group of people watching them now. "Uh oh..."

The entire audience was watching them as things played out. Many whispered as they saw Cleia play the role of Perseus-- and in fact many liked the change. "Wow this is not the same story we knew. This is fun!" "The new writing is interesting!" they said, seeing how things were changing.

Realizing they still were in a fight, Suijin used his magic causing water to form. "Water Dragon Water Pillar Waves!" he growled, and from all around the giant hydra puppet he was under, pillars of water erupted around them and proceeded to sweep towards Cleia in costume.

But for Cleia, she was the role of the hero. Naturally, she had to overcome it and slay the giant sea monster .

As the water magic came, and even splashed a little into the audience, people were amazed by it. "Wow! Great special effects! " someone said, and others in the audience looked in amusement to see such a 'realistic' battle.

"You have got to be joking! These people don't even know what's going on here...!" Cleia wondered in disbelief when she saw the looks on the audience's faces. They were all mesmerized, watching this new drama unfold and wondering where it would go next. Cleia felt a mixture of very slight irritation and yet amusement. It would seem that the audience was intent on utilizing every last dime they'd spent to get into this place.

Spending her time watching the audience trying to find out what the makeshift actors' next moves would be, would prove very painful if she didn't focus on the 'hydra', which was stirring, and was obviously angry. Water erupted around the hydra, taking the form of four large pillars which spiraled towards her. She was not ready to find out what effect the pillars would have, so she decided to try matching offense against offense. Making a gesture, she formed a Jinrai ball in her hand and threw it at the water, as well as Suijin. The ball would fragment into about six or seven pieces, each piece colliding with each pillar and detonating in shock waves that sprayed the audience with water droplets.

The remaining two fragments of Jinrai would fly like thrown pebbles towards the hydra, and would of course explode on impact. Cleia didn't know how that would affect Suijin, but her best chance of winning this was finding a way to make him retreat. If he decided to go all out and fight, not only herself and Benzio, but the audience and even the theater might be destroyed.

Part of her though wondered whether she ought to play along and act a good drama for their audience, but she thought against it. She was a rather poor actor, anyway, and such things made her a little too self conscious.

The water did knock objects around a bit, but nothing of major damage. But what Cleia did was very smart as she used the spell to hit the heads but the wiring that was used would easily tangle the costume up. Vector gave a yelp as the head twisted around him and Suijin too was thrown off balance by the sudden weight change.

All the while the place was alive with cheer from the totally realistic battle display on the stage and they were just loving it.

However, some people were starting to catch on as the guards of the theater area began to gather back stage, checking and wondering if it was all the act or something more going on. Things were starting to look bad for Suijin and his crocodile accomplice.

Benzio soon looked up from where he fell and saw Percius/Cleia's performance on the stage and the hydra. It clearly was something amazing as his face lit up. "Oh my, now this is a show! Brilliant!" he said.

After the aftermath of CLeia's attack, Suijin realized staying too long would be dangerous. They made their point, they somewhat put a scare into the man, now it was time to go. From under the hydra, Suijin made a hand sign and once again, the mist appeared, it obscured them as the hydra began to slowly fall to the ground.

"Bwaaaah... Curse you...." Vector overly acted as soon the hydra outfit went limp and they would escape under the cloud of the mist.

Naturally this made Cleia look like the hero figure before the stage as she 'saved' the princess from the multi headed water dragon.

(OOC: We can do some wrapping up posts but your almost done man ^^)
