The hidden man, If you can find me Ill be here.

Thinking about missions, Madison did not understand jobs like this. Why would they request mages? Not that she wanted something dangerous but it was weird that they did these kind of jobs. Maybe they would request a magic show? That might be interesting, that was not common from what Madison knew. Though Natora prevented her from getting her hopes up. Madison replied with "I think we can handle that" with a smile as she was trying to change the mood they had earlier. Natora knew she'd they were going, so Madison nodded and followed. The wedding area looked nice but was a little light for her tastes, Madison thought as she kept her pace a few steps behind Natora. After Natora told Madison about the guy but before they arrived at ear shot. Madison said in a hushed tone "that is a silly hat, isn't it?" While also catching up to Natora sticking her hands behind her back in a almost crossed like fashion. Hearing the man's request Madison replied "we are the ones for the job posted at our guild." Standing up straight with a more fake smile from before but still genuine. |

The man with the weird hat looked at the two and frowned. It didn't seem like he was in a good mood. And for a moment, Natora really didn't have a good feeling about this. Then again, when did she have a good feeling about anything lately? Regardless, it more than likely wasn't something that she needed to really worry about. And as she stood there next to her friend, she waited for him to finally speak to her. "I don't like the way the two of you look," The man spoke, crossing his arms over his chest and looking very..well in charge. "I had asked for people to help out at a wedding and it seems as if I was given people who are ready to attend a funeral. I have a few rules. Since you are going to be out on the floor with people who are going to be happy, so you are going to smile or you will be fired without pay. If you stop smiling you will be fired without pay. If you say a rude comment you will be fired. If you do anything to upset people at this event, you will be fired. If you do anything wrong, you will be fired. Do you understand me?" Natora blinked at this man. Did he just make an impossible request from her and Madison? It wasn't as if they were the happiest people in the world, nor were they the saddest people. So why did he give them so many ways to get fired without any pay? She turned her attention to her friend for a moment. Could Madison pretend to be happy? Was that even possible at this time? No. It was going to happen. All they had to do was not do anything stupid and they could get out of this alive with whatever pay they could get. She turned her attention back to the chef and a smile, which was very unnatural for the blue haired girl, formed upon her face. "Alright yeah, I think we can do that." She turned to Madison with that smile, hoping that she could pick up her 'happiness' from here. "I think we can do it, right?" "Good. Then grab a black half apron and start setting up the tables with plates and make sure everything looks good before everyone gets here. We don't have that long left before they get here." |

Things were not looking so good and this made Madison confused. He was making judgements before they even done anything and he was being really harsh about it. If she wasn't trying to work more with being closer friends with Natora and did not want to lose this job with her she would probably yell at him and quit. Though before they said anything his look made her think there was something wrong with their look. What was wrong with how they were dressed? She wasn't wearing all black anymore. She was trying to be courteous and it still failed and she didn't know why. This was going to be a challenge and Madison thought this was going to be a simple mission that her and Natora would be able to do together. Hopefully the two would be able to do it and Madison had some doubts they were never the nicest of people. Giving her best smile which she was used to when she lived in the church, Madison nodded her agreement. Not wanting to say anything afraid it might come out horribly. Quickly she went and grabbed an apron and draped it over her clothes. Least for now there was no one but the people working here so she could just focus on her work. She was hoping there was no one who would get on her nerves but she had been around weddings before and they were not all nice. |

Natora took her apron and tied it around her waist and went out to help out and set up. It seemed fairly easy. Grab the plates and place them on the table, grab the silverware and put them around the plates, make the napkins look nice on the plates, the center pieces had to be done as well...So much work and so little motivation to actually do it. But she wanted to get paid to do it so Natora had to at the very least figure out everything. Well maybe not everything, but still. Better get down to business. Grabbing the plates and walking over to a table, she started to place the plates down. As she did that, the blue haired girl did her best to not drop the fake smile she had mustered up while accepting the mission. As she did her job, she glanced over at Madison. She seemed to be having just as much fun as she was. Well that seemed like..well what? Not really a good thing but whatever. Maybe a little talk would help them get through this. "How soon do you think these people are going to get here?" Natora asked, starting to place down the dishes on the table. "I haven't exactly gone and done wedding things before, do you think that it's going to be a royal pain to have to smile at everyone for the rest of the night?" Actually that was a though. Natora wasn't sure if all this smiling was going to leave a permanent smile on her face. What if she got her face stuck like that? That would be terrible. The blue haired girl didn't think that smiling for the rest of her life was going to end well. |

Smiling as much as she could. It was even hurting Madison's face. She had heard many times that smiling was easier then frowning but she never used these muscles so she was not so not used to it and it was more straining on her. That being said she did not want to be fired so she was going to bear with it. It wasn't like she hadn't been through worse pains. Putting out the dish ware, Madison wondered about what kind of things would happen in weddings she had seen plenty and not all pleasant but there were nice ones but big ones usually had their issues. As she slipped the apron on and followed Natora to put the dishes out. As she was not trying to break her focus, it almost startled Madison when Natora asked her some questions. It was startling mostly because she was just not used to Natora starting a conversation with her. Though she was glad maybe this would break into a better friendship or least that was what Madison was hoping for. "I couldn't tell you how long people will get here. From what I have seen weddings are all different. There are some who get their super early and sometimes everyone is late. Though setting up is usually planned a few hours in advance so might be a little while before we seen anyone." Madison answered with a more genuine smile as she was glad they had something to talk about that wasn't Miguel. "What we are going to have to worry about might be either crashers or the lonely because they will hit on just about anyone in the wedding. Sometimes even the bride and that becomes a disastrous. I only got to go to one of the weddings from where I lived before coming to the guild and they kicked me out after I kicked a guy for trying to hit on me. He was drunk and I think he was married." Though that was not the only trouble. But it was the one that might target one or both of them. The other which Madison continued with was "But then their are the grumps the people who do not want to be at the wedding or don't want the two to get married. They try and make the people around them as miserable as possible. Normally wouldn't be considering this an issue but we do have to stay happy and that might be a problem with one of them showing up. Also sometimes they are someone special to the bride or groom so it is hard to even tell them to leave so they are around the whole wedding." She was glad that she could use some of this knowledge. It was something Madison never thought she would use. It was only a year but the church she lived in had over a dozen weddings so there was a lot to learn about. Then an idea came, something that she might not have to voice but hearing Natora's reply might get her spirits up a little more so she asked it anyways. "So this might go without saying but will you look out for me in case something bad happens that might cause us issues and I do the same for you? So basically stop each other from getting mad." This might be a tall order for both of them but this felt more like the mission then the actual mission. |

From what Madison was saying, this simpl mission was getting a bit harder for the both of them. People who were grumpy to other people's weddings? Wasn't that some kind of, I don't know, unspoken rule? That you had to be happy no matter what if a family member was in fact going to have the happiest day of their life? No? Guess not aparently. What a shame. But with that being said, Natora agreed to that. "Yeah, I'll make sure that you don't go around smashing people's faces in and I'll know you have my back too." Time passed and all the little things were done. The plates were out, the center pieces were arrange just so, and any other little thing that could be done was done; only thing left to do was to wait for all the guests to make their way to the place and start enjoying their time. But how long was that going to take? Th head chef and the other person orchestrating the big party had all the servers, which included Natora and Madason, line up so thy could great everyone once they got here. But that was about half an hour ago. How long did it take for these people to actually get here? Just as the blue haired girl was about to break character, guests started to arrive. Finally. That only took a life time and a half. Lord all mighty. Everyone gave a bow to the first few guests and the people at the ends started to trickle away from the line one by one to start attending to the guests. It was Natira and Madison's luck, or rather lack there of, to have to wait for every other server to leave before them and then they head off to start carrying trays full of food and wine and other drinks. Finally it was their turn. With a smile, Natora bowed her head and welcomed the last of the guests in and she went into the kitchen to grab a plate and start walking around and offering finger food. But before she left, she waited for her friend to follow suit so she could have some words of encouragement. "Love how they made us last, huh?" She smiled bigger and held th tray close to her before holding it up with one hand. "Well, better get out there and feed these people some snacks as they wait for the new Mister and Misses. We got this." awkwardly, she gave Madison a thumbs up and walked out into the courtyard, hoping that this mission would be over soon. |
