"What the actual fuck is going on here," Emmaline said to herself, looking from one absurdly tall woman to the other and then to the one she had followed in here accidentally and then finally to the other short girl with her, who evidence it seemed was showing to be more than a little bit insane, "And who the fuck is Bugsy?"
That answer came a moment later -the stuffed rabbit she was holding- and Emmaline had to try so very very hard to suppress an enormous eye roll before the girl licked her goddamn fucking fork who even does that what the fuck.

This time Emmaline closed her eyes -hard- and sighed very deeply, reaching down and taking the girl's chin in her fingers and lifting her head gently but firmly and staring into her eyes.
"It's not nice to lick things we don't own," she said in that same gentle but firm tone, having decided that if this one was going to act like a child she'd get treated like one, "OK? Next time just ask first."
Good, that was dealt with, now for the arguably just as insane random witch bitches nearby.

Turning and keeping her back straight but relaxed, Emmaline's eyes wandered from one to the other to the third in turn and then beginning again. It was a constant loop of casual disinterest but she was prepared to react to the slightest stimuli, her mouth stretching in her throat and down her gullet to prepare for a thrusting tongue and her hands relaxed but her muscles preparing to thrust with her fork in a heartbeat.
"Who. The Fuck. Is Syeena." she said when one of the others decided to be all flamboyant and shit, "If you're so impressed we got in how did we? What the heck is going on right now? I'm just hungry damn it!"

And with that she reached into her blouse and pulled out three apples, devouring one of them in two bites -literally the entire thing- before wiping her mouth and sighing again.
"Someone please, let's start from the beginning," she took another bite of the second apple, taking only a third of it this time in one bite instead of a whole half, "Who are you people? Where are we?"
She was settling a little now, now she had food in her belly and more had been promised. If she had to "behave" she damn sure would, though they were judging based on appearances which was super closed minded.

But if they pissed her off she was going to eat some goddamn pillars and bring this roof down on their heads.

So What was Luna doing here? Actually she didn't know. Somewhere deep inside of her head she got the notion to go on out to Poinsettia. There was a reason for going there she was sure. Was it to go and see her friend Reggie? Or maybe it was because she just liked the Lavender Forest? Yeah maybe that was it...or maybe not. Actually at this point, Luna really had no idea why she was here, all she knew was that she was here and she might as well get something to eat before figuring out something to do.

Stopping by a little food shop, Luna picked up a loaf of freshly baked bread and began walking through the city. But nothing seemed to be drawing her attention. She must have walked everywhere at this point and decided that she was going to go on home. But just as the fire mage was going to leave, something caught her attention. Had there always been that church thing in the distance? Or was it just something that magically popped up more recently?

She had to go investigate it.

Walking towards the place, Luna couldn't help but gape at everything. It was way too pretty to just be some random place the popped out of thin air. It looked old, it felt strange and...well part of her was thinking that she really shouldn't have been there but also apart of her wanted to get moving forward. So with her half a loaf left of her bread and nothing better to do, she ventured in further into the place. It was really too beautiful to not check out after all.

Eventually, the blonde mage had stumbled into a place it didn't seem like she belonged. Why were there people? Quickly she hid behind a pillar and listened to everything start to play out. It seemed as if two other girls (or was it three?) wondered into the area and then people who were related to one of the girls named Syeena entered from stage whatever and giving people lip or something like that. Luna wasn't really sure exactly what was going on. Too many conversations going on at once and not enough time to actually follow along. Maybe it was just best that she walked away and pretended that she never wondered in here.

Achooo!

Well there goes that plan. With a sneeze from Luna from behind the pillar, it seemed as if her hiding spot was going to get found and so she decided to reveal herself. Awkwardly laughing, the blonde girl stepped out from her hiding spot, scratched the back of her head with her free hand, and spoke to the group of girls around her. "Ah...sorry I wasn't trying to over hear anything...I just kind of wondered in." She gave a sheepish smile to the older ladies who were related to this Syeena before looking to the girl who was kind of hungry. "I have half a loaf of my bread left if you want it. Not much but should be able to keep you fed until this dinner is done."

What's The Point

Well then.

The tiny girl blinked twice at the older female's reprimand, quickly retracting her tongue into her mouth and appearing quite sheepish as the other girl spoke rather firmly with her - a tone she had grown very used to - and seemed about to open her mouth to defend herself, only to close it again soon after. Okay, so licking weird-metal-thingy-Lady's weird metal thingy is bad. K.

"Er...s-sorry. Miss." The child mumbled, casting her crimson eyes downwards - probably the most sane-sounding thing she had said...all day. All week, even. Either way, Cynthia found it far out of her league to decipher the complicated (it really wasn't that complex, she was just bad at comprehending things) discussion the three other females were having, so she simply sat herself down for the time being, leaning backwards and holding her stuffed bunny up to her face. The two had what appeared to be a staring contest for a bit before the orphan began muttering something to herself (likely something completely unrelated to the current situation) and generally appearing quite bored (as she usually did when the situation wasn't something she understood).

Ah, but finally, something actually interesting. A new person? The albino child immediately flicked her head to face the newcomer with a look that said Thank god, something flarpin' happened. She seemed not to notice the child as she approached, and said child followed her with blood-red eyes, gaze jumping over the skinny female's features with passive interest. Who was this lady? She was pretty, for sure.

"D'you know her, Bugsy?" Cynthia murmured inaudibly to her ratty old doll in the midst of her observations, hugging him tightly to her bony chest. And what was that noise the lady made just now? It was like someone shot a gun that made little girl noises...hmmm.

Ah, yes. Adults called it "sneez". Cynthia herself was fond of giving nicknames to certain verbs she found redundant, and "sneez" was one of them - instead, the orphan liked to replicate the sound effect herself rather than actually saying the word. Not that she had the attention span to hold a conversation about sneezing for longer than the amount of time it took to sneeze in the first place. Either way, she distinctly remembered adults said a specific thing whenever that happened.

So, Cynthia finally mumbled a little "Gsutsomethingmurflurpbleh..." something like 3 minutes after the actual sneeze for some reason, trailing off into unintelligible noises as her memory failed her once again at remembering how to actually say the word.

(OOC: Since this went a bit off the rails, I am going to give a generalized reply here to move things forward. Ty for putting up with all the confusion. )

As all the new faces had gathered in the chathedral along with Syeena's aunts, the two woman exchanged glances and turned to them. "Only those of certain magic power may enter this place, or those with the potential to be like us, are allowed to enter. This is the Cathedral of Fate, a home for our coven. The Umbra WItches," Jeanne explained as she held and petted Hex softly in her arms. "We are a sect of witches dedicated to maintain the balance between the realms of light and darkness. Whether you chose to believe us or not, we are 'dark mages' but we work for the better interest of all who live here. Neither light or darkness can grow to dominate this world or it would be disastrous. Am I making sense so far? "

It did reveal a lot just by that. It appeared this place was a sanctuary and their enchantments were meant to repel those who would misjudge them or harm them. Again, it seemed to have no effect on the others. But it was a moot point now as these visitors were somewhat kinder than they would of thought.

"Either way, we welcome women of all walks who seek us no harm. Welcome, sisters," Jeanne said as she put down Hex, who stood on the ground iwth a soft meow.

Syeena turned to the others, curious to what they thought of their impression. However at that time, Bayonetta, or known better as Cereza, smiled to them. "Perhaps you all want to discuss this more over dinner? she asked, knowing one of them and probably many of them were hungry.

"YAY! Salmon for me please!" Hex meowed happily as she ran up to Cereza and purred.

Syeena looked to the others as they were all led to an elegant dining room, still of a gothic design but still with a spread and soup prepared-- just what the hungry girl smelled.

"Um... so perhaps we should introduce ourselves? I'm Syeena by the way, " Syeena replied to Luna and the others, wondering who they were by name.

Luna looked at everyone and then eventually glanced down at the little girl who the ratty looking rabbit. She had asked if he, the doll, knew about her, Luna. Well of course she didn't know who Bugsy was nor did he know about her. How was she to know who it was if they had never met? But that wasn't a problem. No problem what so ever.

So she smiled to the little girl and bent her knees so she could get at her level. Kids always liked to be seen at their level and hated being talked down to. Luna would know, she always hated it when her older brother, who was much taller than her, would look down and start talking. Even laughing at her for whatever reason. Whatever. Didn't apply at this point. She bent down and spoke to the little girl. "Well, if he knows me or not, it is nice to know you. I'm Luna Anna Nichole. Call me Luna."

The women started to speak again, causing the blonde to turn her attention back to them. So it seemed as if only special people could actually make it in here. Well that was rather interesting. Guess she was one of them. And what they were doing was rather interesting as well. Alright cool. Nothing too weird about that. Good and Evil had to be in balance. Sounded like a good idea. Or bad one? Sounded like a neutral idea. Yeah there we go, that was a better comment given the nature of the beast they were talking about.

Then the woman who was speaking said something about dinner. Oh actually that sounded wonderful. Sign her up! Her smile lit up again as she scratched the back of her head nervously. "Well, alright I guess that would be good. I think just about everyone here is looking for something to eat. And all of this is rather kind of interesting so I'd like to know more...sorry again for kind of stumbling into your place." Luna let out a held in breath and nodded her head once. "As stated before, I'm Luna Anna Nichole. From the guild Quatro Cerberus. You can call me Luna or Lu or even Lulu if you want. Doesn't really matter to me."

Her purple eyes glanced around the area and waited for everyone else to kind of start talking or moving. If they went somewhere, she would follow. If they stayed here, she would stay here. After all, she was the guest and they were the host. It was bad enough that she was already kind of intruding in on the whole whatever event was going on.

The child blinked several times while the older female spoke, her head making several jittery, ticking motions as if she were some sort of excited animal, or perhaps a rusty machine that didn't quite have its mechanization kinks flattened out - nothing too over-the-top, but noticeable and perhaps mildly concerning nonetheless. Her expression remained flat, as one might imagine a mannequin's face, almost appearing to stare past the woman while she spoke.

"Oooh. Okie, Lulu. Nice ta meet'cha." And just like that, Cynthia appeared to snap out of whatever state she was in, already apparently having come up with a nickname for her new acquaintance in the meantime, and waved her tiny doll's hand floppily at the lady in greeting.

Her attention was then snatched by the other woman's launch into her explanation of the area, but given it was a rather long-winded and confusing explanation filled with grown-up words and weird names (to Cynthia, at least), it did not hold said attention for very long. The little girl was busying herself rolling around on the floor quite aimlessly by the time she noticed the others were apparently leaving, hopping up and quickly bouncing off to follow.

When the group of females entered the room, Cynthia found herself immediately drawn to the enticing scent flowing from the table - "Food?" Food?

Food.

Almost immediately, the tiny orphan rushed onto a seat, tumbling onto her knees and beginning to sloppily scarf down the meal. This ensued for a number of seconds(!) before she finally lifted her head up, licking her lips clean. Splatters of soup were all over the child's face, and she even began taking those with a finger and finishing them until her face was clean of soup. "Thaaaaaaaanks!" She chirped, sitting back in satisfaction. She was still a bit hungry, however...

Oh, did I mention she just noticed there was more food?

Oh.

Deer.

OK, let's get this out of the way to begin - Emmaline was not a very happy camper right now. Not only was she surrounded by veritable idiots who seemed to shame the very name of being a woman, but they had an odd idea in their heads that she was either a) intimidated by them or b) actually interested in being there. Both of these assumptions were astonishingly incorrect and it was almost laughable to her in how badly she wanted to prove them all wrong. However her amusement was not her driving force right now, nor was her boredom or lack of interest - it was hunger.

It was always hunger.

She wasn't that surprised when yet another person finally appeared out of the woodwork -almost literally- with a sneeze, alerting everyone else to their presence. She hadn't detected them, don't mistake this, but she was just not surprised. The way this day was going she almost expected the goddamn King of Fiore to appear out of nowhere and just start rapping some sick fire in an attempt to confuse and disorient everyone in the vicinity. Even that wouldn't have been as confusing to Emmaline as the very existence of this place, nor how she had somehow stumbled through "defenses" or the like in her attempt to find some food.

Legit, she was so hungry right now you guys.

However the newcomer almost immediately esteemed herself in Emmaline's eyes by offering her some bread, making the blue-haired girl's eyes come alight with happiness.
"Sweet thank-"
And then she was interrupted as someone, anyone finally explained what the hell this place was, who the hell they were and then offered her some goddamn food it was about fucking time fuck. A quick walk and some awkward introductions from the various other females in this little area and Emmaline was seated at a table, eyes closed and speaking softly to herself in thanks for the food she was about to receive.

Opening her eyes slowly to witness the woman she had seen first introduce herself -as well as the newcomer- and then watching idly as the little one scarfed down an enormous amount of food, Emmaline waited a few moments for everyone else to serve themselves then she laughed softly. Well, it started softly, but once everyone else's plates and bowls were full her laughter was loud, peels of silvery laughter echoing around the hall as her mouth opened up wide... wider... wider... far too wide to be humanly possible...

And then the food was gone.

In a single inhuman gulp her mouth had streeeeetched itself out to consume everything in the middle of the table in a single swift movement - plates, bowls, soup, meat, grains, vegetables and fruits, sauces, glass... all of it was imbibed in a single swallow as Emmaline's mouth stretched out and then returned to her, the girl reaching up with her napkin to pat at her lips for a few moments and then sighing happily.
"Not a bad spread," she said with a professional sort of nod, which I guess was her profession since she was as much a gourmand as she was a mage, "My name is Emmaline - is there any more food?"

It was a cheeky question, especially since she had eaten all of the plates, serving platters and bowls the food had been in as well as every morsel of food that was on the table and not on someone's plates, but she was still hungry so she asked it anyway. She was always hungry after all, and if there wasn't any more she'd just eat the stuff she had on her.
It was a simple system, but she liked it.

At this time, everyone was enjoying themselves in the dining hall of the cathedral. The size was deceptive for a church like building-- but was most surprising was while everyone did at least have a share of food to eat their full-- Emmaline snarfed down plate, pot and bowl whole. Syeena and Hex looked shocked to see a little girl with a body like that of a black whole.

"That was... surreal..." Hex replied, her ears drooping as she sat across the table from the guests next to Syeena.

However, both witches, Cereza and Jeanne just were at the girl's healthy appetite. "At least she didn't eat the cauldron," Jeanne said in a joking manner.

"Well it is a healthy appetite, no doubt. Why don't you digest a bit, sweetie. Anyway, you know us. But I am sure this is Syeena," Cereza said as she gestured to the young girl and her cat. "Our youngest clan member, and member of Grimore Heart."

Syeena stood up, a bit embarassed. "B-Bayonetta!" Syeena exclaimed, calling Cereza by her nick name.

"Oh, relax little one. I doubt these people mind. As you can tell, we are not your 'classic wart-nosed flying monkey' witches. They have no reason to think ill of you," she jested.

Syeena still felt like a child sometimes as she was handled by her aunts, partly due to the fact she was still the youngest in her clan and also not a full realized witch yet. But that would change if Syeena would step up soon...

It was the reason why she was there.

Syeena was a bit iffy on the other odd girls that had wandered in, but Luna seemed the most sane out of them. As Hex finished her saucer of milk-- unless Emma tried to swipe it too and pick a fight with the cat , Syeena looked more to her and the other girls. "So what kind of magic do you use, if I may ask? " she said changing the subject.

Luna followed the woman and listened to everyone introduce themselves, as well as giving Emmaline a smile when she took the rest of her bread and ate it. Alright, glad she could actually help with the whole feeding of his girl. That was good. If it was Luna and she was starving, anything would have been good. But bread most of all would have been the best. Regardless, the lot of them had been taken around and placed in a nice little place and they started getting some food.

As soon as her own plate was filled up, as well as everyone else's, Emmaline had done something nearly impossible: She ate everything but the table. This had caused Luna to take a moment and blink a few times. She...what? Was that even possible? Could someone eat all of that? "I...I..." Actually she laughed and smiled. "I'm going to have to take you home with me one day and have everyone in my village cook for you! How much more can you eat?" It was actually really interesting to see this. She thought that she ate a lot. Actually, she thought that a lot of the people in her village back at home could eat a lot. But this girl took the cake! Wow! Wait until she told everyone back home that this girl nearly ate the dinning room table too!

Actually, Luna was so enthralled by this, she only took maybe a few bites of her own food and handed Emmaline the rest of her plate, wondering if this girl would just shove the plate into her mouth and be done with it. And then there was the child girl! How much could she eat too?! Looking back between them, Luna wasn't sure who she wanted to take home with her more, the blue haired girl or the little girl. Both could eat and both gained her respects.

Grabbing a napkin, she leaned over to Cynthia and, if the little girl allowed her to, cleaned off her face as everyone started talking again. Saying something about something or another something something about Grimore Heart. Something something...oh wait. Luna was being talked to.

Turning her attention back to Syeena, and after giving Cynthia the napkin to clean herself up with from there, Luna gave the other girl a smile and leaned back into her chair. "Ah...me? Well I am a fire mage. Nothing too exciting. You know, throwing fireballs around, making walls of flames...that kind of thing. What about you? I mean, if you don't mind me asking back."

What's The Point

Cynthia appeared almost entirely unfazed by the fact that the girl nearby her had literally just ate everything on the table, instead opting to place Bugsy on the table and absent-mindedly play with him in her hands, making him "walk" (though it appeared more like shuffling than walking) around on the tiny space in front of her on the table. The albino child opted to remain silent for the duration of the ensuing conversation, yawning once or twice but otherwise not speaking - not even when the blonde girl beside her leaned over and wiped her mouth clean.

After a few moments, the little girl apparently found herself bored once again, as her eyes began to dart about; her gaze never stopped at one sight for more than a fraction of a second, constantly flickering all around the room, as if she were attempting to take pictures of every section of the table. However, the female's eyes would eventually rest on Hex, almost appearing to abruptly lock in place after such random movement.

The small cat, had she decided to return Cynthia's look, would feel the child's crimson pupils bore into her, as if the child was attempting to see through the feline. With each passing second, the stare grew more intense; furthermore, Hex would begin to see the eyeball gently vibrating in its socket - this vibration grew more noticeable by the second, the gaze drilling into her to the point where the eye appeared almost ready to shoot out of its socket. Hex might even have seen what seemed to be a tear form in the small girl's eye.

And, just like that, the gaze abruptly broke, and Cynthia's eye(s) returned to normal, returning to its gentle gliding across the room, as if nothing had ever happened. The blood-red gaze never returned to the cat, but Hex, had she continued to observe, would hear the girl mouth the words:

He likes you.

And of course, if she never returned the little girl's gaze in the first place, she would see nothing.
