Account Name: CrimsonTide Profile Name: Rhuuk Svaldiir Nickname: TBA Age: 20 Gender: Male Height: 6'1" Weight: 12st 8lbs Guild: N/A Class: D Affiliation: Neutral Appearance Physical Description: Rhuuk is of a good height and well-built from his continuous physical activity trekking across country on hunts and from training to aid his clan in skirmishes, but besides his clothing he doesn't look all that out of the ordinary. Unlike some of the neighbouring countries many Iceborn have slightly more sun kissed complexions, Rhuuk following suit with this, his caramel tone being interrupted by a few silvery scars crisscrossing his form. It is clear to see that he is no stranger to seeing the sun due to this caramel tan, but what is also clear is that his natural skin colour is not too far from this shade; lacking any of the sharp colours such as the silver hair or emerald eyes of some minorities; Rhuuk sports a simple lighter brown hair colour, rather plain. Only being noticeable due to the fact it extends a good inch or two past his neck and ears, sometimes even falling across his eyes due to the unkempt length. Much like the muted hair colour, his eyes are similarly normal, being a shade darker of brown that the normal, by no means does the hunter look regal even if he were to dress up. Overall Rhuuk looks rather approachable, not standing out of the crowd; being no true Adonis by any means, or particularly devious looking. Instead he sits slightly more towards the former, looking handsome in his own sort of way, the start of adulthood being seen with his slightly harder features, but still keeping a slightly less broad jaw and a kinder looking face. Rhuuk generally looks like he is ready to do something, with a determined look written across him, but no stranger to falling into a wide eyed smile, even if doing so makes it look like he's turned from the firm twenty year old he usually is into a lopsided teenager who's a little too tall for his age. This in part being to his unfortunate curse of still not having any facial hair at his age. Clothing: Rhuuk is obviously not from Fiore from his choice of clothing, the most striking piece being his cloak, made of the fur of an Iceborn polar bear; most hunters only ever kill one during their life, having to trek across the country in order to find them. Then using their fur they are made a cloak to symbolise their movement into manhood. Rhuuk's cloak is no exception to this rule, a large white fur descending to his ankles and wide enough to wrap around himself and then some. The head being used as a hood and the lower jaw as a face mask, when fully donned, it is a rather impressive sight. While proud of his cloak, Rhuuk finds it required even in the warmer climate of Fiore to wear more than just this fur. Underneath he styles a leather and fur jerkin, covering his torso firmly, held in place by a few leather pull strings, and decorated with a grey coloured fur along all rims. His upper arms are left exposed besides while under the cloak, clearly showing his tattoo upon the right side. While his forearm and hands are covered in a form fitting set of gloves, the thick leather made to keep the cold from his dexterous hands and another line of grey fur near the elbows there to help prevent drafts from freezing his arms while not wearing the cloak. For pants, once again Rhuuk has made good use of the resources gathered from his many hunts, wearing a set of lighter leather trousers, fitting snuggly around his legs and leading down into a set of thick leather boots, the soles being made to leave bear shaped footprints as long as the snow was not too deep; and once again covered in a dirty grey coloured fur around the tops of the shoe. Accessories: Rhuuk isn't too much into jewellery or nick-knacks; however the one little extra he does have is a necklace made from the teeth of the first ever bear he killed, his proof of manhood. In his clan and numerous others in the south of Iceberg, to give someone else the gift of the necklace is a sign of either fealty or in a more personal case a query of marriage, as such Rhuuk never takes this of due to his pride as a hunter and the old legends of icy maidens claiming these symbols and forcing hunters to marry them, leading them into the frozen depths for eternity. Extra: Being an Adult of the Gunnr clan; Rhuuk has seen such fighting in the form of small scale skirmishes between his own and other neighbouring clans, however most not ending in death, simply lasting wounds. The remnants of many of these being scattered across his body. Numerous white lines snake their way around his hands where his parry with a blade has not been so up to scratch, a few larger ones adorning his forearms and two large horizontal scars dressing his chest from side to side, one being made by an overzealous training master while the other being from tail of a Winter-Beast. A foul looking animal that slinks below the surface of the snow, causing a large and wide scar that meanders across the lower portion of his chest and around his left hand side to cross the majority of his back. The other noticeable defining feature of his body is a large tattoo upon the top of his right shoulder, arching across his neck, right back and chest and finishing upon the upper arm, the tattoo is a dark black coloured design of numerous concentric circles of varying thickness, these enclosing a set of Iceborn runes marking Rhuuk as an adult in his clan and finally another set of concentric circles. The inner aspect of the tattoo left barren, ready to be adorned with any symbol or mark chosen if and when he has not only proved himself as an adult but also earned the respect of his kinsmen. Personality Rhuuk is generally a rather serious person, being task orientated and generally following through his plan to the end, but from his experiences in life he is well aware that things are not always so clear cut and to be able to reassess and re-evaluate as you are to go along is an important skill and sometimes going a slightly longer way can cut down a lot in terms of risk and increase the reward. While no stranger to hard work, he doesn't live by the mantra that the most challenging direction is always the best. His sense of humour is far from the normal of Fiore, finding most of their jokes rude or simply not understanding them, in turn his own sense of humour finding no home in a normal conversation in this country. That being said, although he doesn't understand the humour and is generally very driven, he is very much able to lay back from time to time and enjoy himself, partaking in alcohol in his culture being a must, despite the lack of beer gut he would be seen as a heavyweight in Fiore, backing most drinks like water but still having a very fine line between sober and intoxicated beyond reason. Valuing his traditions very much, he still holding many of them above all else, to him a law is a guide for what to do, and while he would normally follow any, things that disagree with his clan's code would be ignored without second thought; besides this the other moral driving force he has is his pride as a hunter and warrior, not straying from the battle or the kill, he finds no pleasure in looking for it, taking what he must when he must instead of meandering around looking for any sort of prey to hunt for sport or fight to start. Continuing on with his sense of adulthood, he is very much in the mind-set that teaching others who are open to his culture is something to be proud of. Taking care to put his beliefs across in a positive way and cultivate learning rather than cut down the confidence of others. Rhuuk is a kind soul, with his own ideas of right and wrong. He takes little lead from those around him but is open to being taught by others, seeing no shame in admitting his is wrong or lacking knowledge in a particular area, instead seeing it as noble to admit ones faults and look for improvement; while still devout to his own culture, he is open to understanding other ways of living even though he cannot read the written language of Fiore; but still he does not fool around with words, speaking the simple truth without much thought for the ego of others, in his own culture he had proven himself to a level where he is able to speak freely and his words to be heard, but not followed as order or law. History History Weaponry/Equipment Name: Iceborn Hunter's Cloak Class: D Description: A large and slightly bulky white polar bear fur; carefully pieced together from Rhuuk's first true hunt to prove himself as an adult. The fur cloak covers most of his back easily, coming down to just above his ankles, and being wide enough to pull entirely around himself to help the hunter fare the harsher of winter storms. The cloak fastens tight via a bronze clasp hidden under the two large arms of the bear cloak that drape over his shoulders and pull up around Rhuuk's neck. The head of the bear remains mainly intact also, offering as a hood to cloak, the maw covering the head and cutting off just out of Rhuuk's eye line. While the jaw attaches to this hood if needed; hiding his face from sight, and allowing him to peer out from the small gap in the dead animal's mouth. Effect/Function: To those in Iceberg, the cloak would mark him as a hunter of one of the southern clans and demand him a certain amount of respect. It also has its practical uses of being a heavy cloak meant to keep the cold out and hide his exact silhouette on the snow plains during a hunt. Name: Gunnr Style Bow. Class: D Description: A composite bow made from the wood of the hardy but flexible Iceborn Yew tree; spanning 3'6" from tip to tip. The bow is inlaid with animal bone near the tips of either arm as well as the main handle to add to its sturdiness as well as being tipped with walrus ivory on either end, giving the weapon two fine tips if a hunter would be unfortunate enough to find no more arrows to notch. The string being a tightly woven animal sinew makes the piece difficult to disassemble but the Iceborn yews innate flexibility helps to keep the bow easily serviceable if required. Effect/Function: Being a sturdy bow, the weapon is easily able to launch arrows; with a few small notches along the arms of the weapon to help keep arrows steadied even while running, it is a weapon designed for fluid movement. While being a hunter's weapon, it does not mean that it is used exclusively to hunt animal prey. Name: Quiver of Arrows Class: D Description: The clans of South Iceberg are known for being resourceful with the materials gathered from their hunts; the leathery hides of the larger game being made into containers such as quivers like Rhuuk's. This quiver measuring 2'8" long being made from a dark brown leather, reinforced inside with large slivers of bone to aid in it keeping its shape. The quiver is triangular in design, with the base on one end being flattened and the other, the lower part extending further than the upper to ensure no arrows fall out. Inside the quiver a bone supported flap pushed down on any arrows within, not preventing them from being pulled out, but stopping them from moving around and making any unfortunate noise while moving on the hunt. The quiver is designed to buckle onto any sort of belt, laying across the waist in a horizontal fashion rather than some traditional ones that would be strapped vertically across a person's back. Within the quiver there is room for around 50 arrows, however currently only 20 2'4" arrows reside in there. Being made of the same hardy Iceborn yew as Rhuuk's bow, however the arrow tips being made from a grey coloured bone, the edges purposefully serrated on either side. While the fletching on the opposite end having a much more vibrant colouring with deep cerulean patterned feathers. Effect/Function: The quiver is a well-made piece of equipment, designed to carry arrows around for easy access while preventing them from moving around too much while inside. While the arrows are made to tear through the hides and flesh of animals. Name: Hunter's Knife Class: D Description: A 15" knife with a single serrated edge meant for finishing off any prey and to cut the corpse up for cooking meat and taking the skin of the animal. The knife is rather simple having a softer metallic blade with a slight point at the end taking up two thirds of the knife and attached to that a simplistic bone handle measuring the final 5 inches. Effect/Function: The knife is sharp enough to cut through flesh, but it requires a good amount of force and sawing action, but still sharp enough to be wary of. The way the bone handle has been crafted, it is easy enough to have it held between the waist and a belt without causing any discomfort or causing the blade to stab into the wearer; however Rhuuk has a small leather sheath placed a little higher than his waist for the blade to slot in horizontally. The metal while being slightly softer has the added utility of being easily able to cause a spark if struck against a sharp rock; helping in the simple survival technique of making a campfire. Stats - 55 Power: 10 Endurance: 11 Toughness: 12 Speed: 10 Accuracy: 10 Magic: 2 Earned Stat Points Earned: 0/0 Arc Points Earned: 0/0 Jewels Earned: 100,000/100,000 Sources Sources Skills & Disciplines Hunter and Tracker - Trained from childhood to thrive upon the barren southern tundra of Iceberg. He was taught how to identify, track and kill the large game that moves across the snow drifts; Rhuuk is easily able to keep himself thriving in these sorts of locations. And while not entirely accustomed to the fauna of Fiore, Rhuuk is able to usually give an educated guess as to what creature made whichever set of prints he would be tracking, and from likening them to their kin, where best to aim his arrow to cause the most hastened death. Basic Bowyer Training - No master craftsman or artist in wood; sinew and bone. Rhuuk is however able to make basic repairs to his own weapon and ensure its upkeep as well understanding the steps that must be taken to receive the most longevity of his tool of artistry, the bow. Archery Technique - Knowledgeable in technique and form; Rhuuk has come to good understanding of how to use a bow with the most efficiency; although he is far from achieving this higher echelon of archery, he has set himself a clear path towards it; already understanding each individual step that much be undertaken to achieve this. Magic Magic Name: Winter's Heart Magic Type: Elemental Alchemy - Ice Tier of Magic: 2 Rank: 1 Magic Description: Summoning up the powers of Frost and Ice Rhuuk is able to call upon this primal element to create vast numbers of frozen shards meant to impale and hinder his foes in numerous ways. By tapping into his archery skills, he is able to meld his magic with items such as his arrows to cause a blizzard like flurry of frozen arrow shaped icy shrapnel to bombard an area and cause additional effects such as slowing his foes advance or retreat as well as calling up frozen pillars from the earth to offer more difficult if not impassable terrain to herd his prey to the areas he wishes. Not just focusing on imbuing his own weapon with the frozen wrath of an Iceborn Winter; Rhuuk has also discovered that the magic can be used to place areas of chilled magic upon the world below him, giving him the ability to set frigid traps to spring in the unlucky moment his prey saunters over them. Techniques: 2/3 Ice Make: Glacial Trap - 1 Type: Offensive Range: 10m Effect: Rhuuk lays down his magic directly below or adjacent to himself within a 10m range combining his magic with the area; after a moment the trap becomes active. Anyone who walks across the area spanning 3 meters in diameter besides Rhuuk will trigger the magic causing two frozen stalagmites measuring 10cm in length and 2cm at the widest point on the base to crash upwards from the trap causing superficial damage before vanishing. The trap can last a maximum of 1 post in total and has a 2 post cool down. Anyone with 10 or more accuracy is able to see the trap. Ice Make: Glacial Barrage - 1 Type: Offensive Range: 10m Effect: Creating a 3m stationary magical circle directly in front of himself, Rhuuk summons forth two arrow shaped fragments of ice from the circle measuring about 20cm long each and no wider than 3cm, buffeting all targets in front of the circle for up to 10m these arrows fly forwards not targeting people and once the magic circle is cast it cannot be moved, these arrows cause superficial damage. Duration of 1 post total and a cool down of 2 posts. Edited by AuraLex, Aug 22 2016, 09:08 PM.

Welcome to FTG and damn fine first go I must say. Just a few things. • I think your magic sounds more like Tier 1, but we'll come back to that. Glacial Trap • You say "numerous" stalagmites. At this rank you're going to get maybe a total of 2. • I need a length and breadth of these stalagmites •is it 1 post after activation or total? •You could set the area for this trap at 10m. A good rule of thumb for range is rank*10. •It needs an accuracy check. As in anyone with accuracy higher than 10 can see and avoid it. Glacial Barrage •Same issue with numbers as stated above. •Does this tech target people? • Is the attack linear (as in it goes straight out doesn't matter if people are there or not once activated) or does it have the ability to follow. •How big are the ice arrows? Thats all for now. |
