Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

With the destruction of the lachryma, his work and reason of death now shattered to pieces along the floor of his once magnificent house, the ghost could let out a final sigh of as satisfaction as he felt somewhat at peace. "Yes, I think it'll be time soon," he muttered to himself before casually drifting over towards the two girls who had helped him find his solace.

Upon a quick look over and a small calculation within the remnants of his brain, he shook his head when asked if she were going to explode. "Come now child, do you really think a little zap is all it takes? If that were the case, then I'm afraid there wouldn't be anything left of this fine house," he explained, his tone somewhat wistful, the harshness of his voice beginning to falter as he had reached the end of his sentence, his body slowly turning away to them and towards the interior of his home. "And before you ask; No, there will not be any magic granted from that zap."

Sett snapped her fingers as she got up. Her landing hadn't been rough, but it hadn't been soft either. "So what now, eh? You going to disappear on us?" she wondered allowed, checking his feet to see if he was already beginning to disappear. It seemed that he wasn't done just yet as he showed no signs of dissipating towards the after life. Her head to the side, she thought to ask of moving their meeting to some place where she could sit down for a moment. Before she could begin, the ghost man shook his head as he turned to face them again.

"Luckily for you all, you may bask in my presence for a little longer, it is not my intention to leave just yet, though my time draws near and when it does, I shall need your help one last time. Until then, might I possibly request in you, er hrm," Sett hadn't known, until this moment, that ghosts could cough, but form the looks of things, the ghost man was having quite some trouble trying to clear his throat of what he was going to say. A coy smile fell over Sett's face as she realised what it was he was attempting to say.

"Would you ladies mind accompanying me to my study room in my final moments? It would be nice to have some people to share my stories with. I was unfortunately unable to attend my own funeral..." he trailed off. If his pale skin could have colour, the rainbow haired girl figured that his cheeks would have changed into a stark red. Sett grinned before turning towards Deedee. "I 'unno, you want to listen to this geezer?" she winked.

Well, it seemed fortunately that after all the drama and suspense of the day, the threat was destroyed and the day was saved. Like the spook, Desire let out a sigh, but while the ghost's was that of satisfaction, hers was that of relief. Of course, with the ghost confirming Desire's speculation that the zap to Sett's leg was only as harmful as its effect when it had struck her, all seemed to have ended well. Of course, the old proverb about things ending well came to mind....

Sett seemed to be interested in knowing whether the ghost would be disappearing into the afterlife, or wherever it was that ghosts went, since Desire had no idea, never having been dead and back to life before. There was reason to think he would go soon, seeing that the general consensus was that ghosts persisted in the human world because they had businesses left unfinished. And it seemed that this ghost in particular was interested in destroying the explosive lachryma thing, which had been done. Yet, for all intents and purposes, the wraith didn't seem to be in any state of vanishing.

His words, however, proved otherwise. How soon "the time draws near" was could only be guessed at, seeing that relativity was unique to various individuals. A mosquito would consider soon to be in a matter of seconds or minutes, while a tree with a lifespan of hundreds of years could see a single year as a mere trifle, were it gifted with the powers of sentience. Whatever the case, Desire was already getting irritated at the pompous answer the ghost gave to the rainbow-haired girl's question, and her face showed it well. "As if anyone wants to 'bask' in your presence, much good it does..." she thought, opening her mouth to mirror her thoughts with words.

Yet when the ghost began to cough and clear his throat, Desire thought better of not speaking just yet, and closed her mouth, waiting to see what he would say, the look of irritation still plastered on her face. And at least he used the word 'request', not any stupid statement like 'you would be privileged to--'. At the expression of his intention, the annoyed look cleared away from Desire's face as fast as mist on a bright, sunny morning. In place of that was a look of sympathy, as the pink-haired girl turned to her winking and grinning friend.

"Normally, I'd have said no with the way he started," she replied, "but I think I understand how he feels. Besides, I guess it would be good karma, or whatever, if we obliged him in his last moments here. Besides, stories never stabbed someone in the spleen." A thought seemed to cross Desire's mind, because she said, "okay, gossip can figuratively do that, but I suppose we won't be spending someone's last moments gossiping." Turning to the ghost, Desire said, "if my friend's okay with it, lead the way, Mr. Ghost-guy-with-the-pernicious-joke-book."

Half an hour later, the ghost seemed to be unwilling to let up with his storytelling, and while Desire wondered when he would finish, some of those stories had been rather hilarious. Suddenly, the specter stopped, and backed the girls. "I wish to express my profound gratitude," he said. "The both of you have been rather helpful and accommodating, even if I was initially wary of your types at the onset of this little adventure. I perceive my time on this broken world is up, but I want you to know that you both have done a great service to me. Whatever you wish to take from my house, or its remains, you may have, as well as my eternal appreciation, for what it's worth. Farewell, ruffians...."

So saying, he faded out of existence gradually, leaving an empty silence in the study. Desire was happy the whole matter was over; what was foremost on her mind was a great deal of sleep, in a place where ghosts weren't rumored to haunt. But if the spook had mentioned that they could have anything among his personal possessions which they wanted...

"Dibs on that horrid joke book!"

Had to conclude it, since it seemed the whole jazz was nearing its end, so...
