Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Sett gave a small chuckle as she looked out from the corner of her eye at the pink haired girl as she followed along with her joke of there being explosion gods. She hadn't met someone so open to messing about with her words since she was young. It felt good to have someone as quirky as her about. As she waited by the gate, she frowned, raising both her hands. "It's a big wall, I can't be certain if there's any hidden spikes to keep people from jumping over it or if that gate is the only thing stopping people," she shrugged. She figured that with some assistance she'd be able to scale the wall, but didn't know if Desire would be able to do the same.

Watching as the girl began to inspect the gate after her initial shaking of it, she soon found that the chain that was holding the gate closed wasn't much use and instead was only there for show. Sett gave a grimace at the sight of such low security. "I think the only person that would care is currently buried six feet under," she muttered, casting the morbid thought from her mind.

Walking in through the now open front gate, she locked her fingers behind her head, her pinky fingers brushing against her ponytail. She took a good look of the front of the house, or at least what was left of it. The front walls were somewhat intact around the corners of the building, but otherwise a sizeable chunk was missing. It all seemingly stemmed from somewhere close to the middle. "Back in Chrysanthemum, there tended to be a larger crowd gathered around a building if it blew it up or was lit up on fire," without realising it, Sett had given away a bit about her which she usually didn't talk about, something which she'd become much more tight lipped later on.

Before she could say anything else though, a scream came from within the house. Jumping at the abrupt sound, her two hands whipped from behind her head as she began a full on sprint towards the house. As she reached where the front door of the house used to be, she heard yet another scream along with the sound of glass smashing at the ground. Running about, she found that it came towards the right, jumping through the remains of a wall, peeling wall paper covering some of the broken stone that ran along the floor, she hopped into a living room, the carpet, fireplace and furniture still intact. A gaggle of teenagers were there, bottles of beer and other alcoholic drinks by their sides. One of which had its pieces scattered all along the ground, terrified looks were to be seen on all of their faces.

"What are you kids doing here?!" she yelled angrily at them. "G-Ghost...." one of the girls stuttered. Sett's face dropped. She turned back towards her partner. "Seems you were right, lets see if a ghost can take a punch to the face or not."

Sett talked about Chrysanthemum as she observed the wreckage of the building, leading Desire to assume that the rainbow-haired girl was from the city she had just mentioned. Desire had only heard a great many stories about the birthplace of the Knights of Fiore... or was it some place else? She couldn't remember. Maybe one day she would probably find her way to the city and take a good look around. It did seem, though, that the city would most likely be a place of many guards and little breathing space, judging from the fact that Sett had, earlier in the day, mentioned that there was a knight at every corner where she was from, although she had not cared to mention where that place was. Desire was sure it was Chrysanthemum now. She wasn't really sure anymore that she would like the place, but well, nobody arrested one for being a tourist.

"Well, judging from what one of those guys at the diner had said, the building was still intact nearly a month ago," Desire answered, as she gave thought to her friend's words. "I'd like to assume that this building must have been destroyed for over two weeks now. If it had been at an earlier time, I suppose the man would have given his account in a number of days, not close to a month, but he could have decided to exaggerate on the time period. Still, the supposition that this building was damaged a number of weeks ago lends credence to the fact that the crowds would have been tired of watching the grey unentertaining walls." As the case presented itself, it stood to reason that people would have gotten tired of watching "old news", so to speak.

The more important matter, which was the case of the destroyed building, stood before them. Judging by the expansive size of the grounds, it was very likely that the two girls would have a lot of searching to do before they found something that would probably help them make adequate sense of the situation before them. But just when Desire was about to begin searching, beginning at the great gape in the wall that stood a while away from the two girls, there was the sound of a scream. A human scream, alright, but due to the expectation that this building was supposed to have been empty, the sound seemed preternatural in the near-silence.

Following the rainbow-haired girl's response to the sound, Desire made her way to the house, noting the sound of another scream and breaking glass. After a little more running, Desire found herself and Sett staring at a group of teenagers; a quick count gave their number at six. At Sett's angry question, one of them stammered the same thing that the two girls had been guessing all the while. Picking a bottle from the ground, Desire looked at its label and scoffed. "You sure it's not the 'Coreopsis Venom' in your brains that made you see things?" she asked, waving the bottle at the terrified group. Before anyone could answer, there was a strange scraping sound in the adjacent room, with what sounded like the mixture of a murmuring brook, and the wind's whisper. "Okay, maybe that answers my question," Desire said in a tone which was too calm for what she felt inside. "You kids should be ashamed, anyhow. Your mommies will be disappointed if you were found here." Hypocritic, maybe, seeing that Desire was certainly not the paragon of good behavior, but who cared? Desire turned to Sett and nodded, the bottle of Coreopsis Venom still in her hand. Maybe it would be a decent weapon if the situation demanded it... against a ghost?

Moving gently to the door of the adjacent room, Desire opened it quickly and looked inside. Nothing. "I swear, if it's another of those kids playing pranks, I'll split his head with this bottle...."

Sett found herself groaning internally at the thought of those kids being mixed up in all of this. What was worse though, was there was in fact a problem that had to have been taken care of. Already heated up from having yelled at the foolish teens, she felt as if she was going to smash the melon of anyone who crossed her, which was why the thought of calling for the help of higher authorities didn't enter her pretty little head. Clamping her fist into her palm, her leather gloves leaving an audible thump in the air, she titled her fingers back, the sound of cracking filling the air. The sound from the adjacent room filled the living room, Sett rotated her jaw, unimpressed by the noises. "You kids better get out of here, me and my partner are going to tear a new hole through this building."

Scrambling ensued as the kids made their way out of the house, cheeks flushed and some still pale from the shock of seeing whatever kind of apparition from before. Without looking back towards them, the girl picked up a bottle of the alcohol they had been drinking as Desire nodded towards it, leaving her bottle in her own hand before comically clinking the two against each other. "Cheers. Now let's see how ghost fights," she grinned.

Kicking the door open, it swung easily. It seemed that this room was even more untouched than the living room. It was dusty sure, but everything still seemed to be intact. There were bookshelves lining the walls, all stacked to the brim with reading material. Sett frowned, where exactly was the gh-

Appearing from nowhere, an ethereal figure stepped right through the smaller girl, a looming figure with long spindly eyes and a very wavy shape. As the ghost turned to face her, its head spun around first, its body following. Sett gulped, that was an experience she never wanted to happen again. Her insides were cold after what had happened and her angry red face now turned to a chilled pale one. She shivered, raising the bottle in her hand. The ghosts eyes looked down towards it, clearly pissed.

Sett had wisely told the juvenile delinquents to scram, an order which was taken rather enthusiastically. Soon the room was empty, with only the two girls and the littered bottles as a testament to the fact that anything alive was in the room. And speaking of 'alive', it was time to see whether what had been causing all the raised hairs and increased heart rates was alive or not. It could very well be a silly prank; nonetheless Desire wasn't ready to dismiss the just as plausible option that there was an authentic undead figure responsible for the odd events.

Sett, cheerful and humorous as always, clinked the bottle she had picked with the one in Desire's hand, eliciting a chuckle from the throat of the pink-haired girl. The statement about seeing how ghosts fought sounded very brave, although Desire was not too keen on being on the receiving end of the exertions of a battling ghost. With any luck, if indeed there was a ghost, noting that it had not attacked the frightened teenagers, perhaps the ghost was disinclined to be belligerent. But just in case it was not, Desire hoped it would be corporeal enough to be affected by a bottle smashing against its head.

As Sett kicked the door to the room from which the suspicious sounds had been heard open, Desire noticed that it was a library. And very dusty too. There were no footprints on the floor, so whatever had made that noise most likely didn't need floors to move about, or the sound had probably come from a much further room. Desire was actually praying it was the latter. Or hopefully it would be a bird, or bat, something not so preternatural as the ghost that had just glided into the presence of the two girls.

Wait! A ghost had just glided into existence, to even worsen things, stepping through Sett as though through thin air. Okay. The bottles would not work, then. Desire's insides felt indescribably whack, for lack of a better word, as she immediately attempted to imagine what having a ghost step through you would feel like. As if that wasn't freaky enough, the ghost turned in a disturbingly dramatic way, head first and body following. Sett was obviously terrified, even though she raised her bottle. Desire, for her part, was probably more scared, though she made an effort not to show it, the result being an extremely strained expression on her face.

The ghost was not impressed, it seemed. Well, since it was incorporeal, attacking it with a bottle would be ineffective, hence its expression. And that probably wasn't good. But if the ghost had not started revealing itself by attempting to repaint the dusty room with fresh blood, maybe this entity was not hostile. Maybe speaking to it could help... that is, if it could understand whatever was being said.

"H--hello," Desire ventured, dropping her bottle gently, so as not to appear threatening in any way, and trying to move the ghost's attention from Sett to her since it looked like it wanted to follow the blood spray paint option with the rainbow-haired girl. "I take it this is your house...." Well duh, but it was difficult to construct rather intelligent questions in such strange circumstances.

The thoughts of defeating any kind of undead being had already disappated within Sett's mind. Her thoughts scrambled about to try and find an answer as to how on earth there was an actual ghost standing before her and how she was going to handle it. As it had passed through her, and subsequently, her own bottle, she figured that she wasn't going to harm it with the glass object any time soon. Gulping slightly, she tried to take a step back, but found that her legs were a little on the weak side, causing her to wobble slightly. Wetting her lips, she hesitated for a moment. Why was this guy looking so pissed?

Before she could voice her question, Desire stepped up, dropping her glass bottle and brought the ghosts attention over towards her instead of the rainbow haired girl. As she asked the question, the ghost took a deep breath through his nose. Did ghosts even need to breathe?

"More teenagers. Typical. Hoodlums, the lot of you!" the ghost announced, despite the stern tone, it was obvious that he spoke with an accent that belonged to those of the upper crust of society. Sett's eye twitched for a moment, her free hand opening and closing into a fist. Typical? Hoodlums? Who the hell did this guy think he was. Sett wasn't the brightest of the bunch and the fear she had felt only moments ago seemed to have burned up the angrier she got.

"Oi, watch it buster. I don't care if you're dead or not. I'll still kick your ass if you don't watch your mouth!" she declared, stabbing a finger straight into his chest. She held it there for a few seconds before quickly retreading it, blowing on the now frozen apendage. The ghost grunted in response, stony faced as ever.

The ghost had that kind of accent that made Desire want to attempt breaking his nose, just for the fun of it, but then she remembered that this apparition before them was not corporeal, and as such would most certainly not be affected by the attempted attack. What a pity. The rich were always like that, looking down on everyone else, simply because they had money. While money was useful, it was not most effective in a good number of cases, like in whatever killed this guy, or got him pissed off like this.

Sett, in her usual spunky manner, had by now lost her fear and was quite pissed off at the ghost's insults. She poked at the ghost, of course that having no effect, as her extended finger passed through the specter's airy form. Desire watched with interest as Sett held her finger in position for a moment before pulling it out quickly and blowing on the appendage. From the tiny wisps of vapor which momentarily rose from Sett's finger sluggishly, Desire could correctly assume that the ghost was glacial in temperature... as well as behavior.

"Well, Spookypants," Desire said coolly, placing her hands on her hips, "it does say a lot about you, seeing you think all teens are typically hoodlums. Funny, seeing you were one yourself sometime back... unless you were born a ghost. I'm pretty sure you must have been an awfully horrid brat when you were our age, so stop being so self-righteous and hypocritical. No wonder you're so sad and dismal, with that behavior of yours. I'm sure if you laughed a little more, or didn't have your pants so tied up in a bunch, you'd probably not be wandering round your house, looking so dismal. While I'd have liked to cheer you up or something, the notion is rapidly escaping my head."

Truth was, Desire had no idea what had killed the ghost or why he still haunted his house, but she was sure it probably had to do with his personality when he was alive. It wasn't very likely that the man developed his 'winsome' personality after passing the threshold of death.

Spectral brows raising, thin hairs knotting together, the corners of his mouth began to tug downwards as a very indignant expression formed across the deceased man's face. It was almost comical had the temperature of the room no steadily began to decrease, Sett soon began to wish she had brought a little bit more than her usual clothing, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on edge. On the other hand though, she was impressed of the roasting that Desire was giving to the ghost. Once the pink haired girl finished, books began to rattle in their place along the bookshelves. Sett narrowed her eyes, her mouth twisting into a sneer. "Got 'em," she added, extending her hand to the side for a high five.

A book flew across the room, Sett quickly ducking to avoid it as it fell by her feet. "You! You monstrous devil! I'll have you know that I read plenty of books to become the cat's meow at many a gala! I was the bees knees of social standards and not once had I broken into another persons house! Alive or not, I feel like I have my rights!" the ghost bellowed. Sett frowned, tilting her head. The book that had been thrown at her and Desire was titled, "Party Jokes and other Hilarities."

"Huh," she said, picking it up, she flicked through the pages, her face blank as she tried to comprehend the punchlines. "Uh," her cheeks flushed a red as she tried deciphering the meaning of some of the graphs that were meant to function as ding-bats. "Guuuuh," the young girls mind began to melt as she tried to pronounce some of the words in the riddles section in her minds. She recognised the letters, but remuneration wasn't something she had ever seen before, let alone heard. Getting somewhat dizzy, she snapped the book closed and tossed it to the side. The ghost had a smug look on his face as if his hilarities had now been recognised. "Didn't attend many parties, huh...."

She turned towards her accomplice, the room still freezing cold. "Didi...." she whispered. "Why don't you try some of your shoom shoom on him," the actions she used whilst saying shoom shoom was her raising her hands and wavign them towards the pink haired girl.

To be honest, Desire was rather unnerved when the bookshelves began rattling violently; it seemed she had struck a sore nerve. However, seeing her 'partner in crime' hold out her hand for a high-five was quite encouraging. The pink-haired girl stepped up and quickly slapped her palm against that of her friend's, her facial features in a triumphant smirk. "Well, that ought to put him in his place," Desire mused, expecting that the ghost would not be so willing to "stoop so low" as to attempt to prove her wrong.

She obviously didn't know anything about ghosts. The book, which had apparently just suddenly shot out from its place on a shelf and headed straight at the two girls, was quite unexpected. Desire managed to avoid the book, and felt rather glad she did; it would probably have been gratifying to the spook, if any of the girls had been hit by the book. That aside, it was the title of the book that surprised her. To make matters even better, the ghost seemed to be intent on proving that he was not so much of a sourpuss. Maybe he did have a bit of hope.

Like her rainbow-haired friend, Desire was relatively stumped by the contents of the book, although she wasn't as clueless as her companion. Sett seemed to be obviously affected by the fact that the book didn't make very much sense to her, but Desire was in a better state, seeing that, as unlikely as it appeared, she did read a little from time to time. Granted, maybe not as much as Spookypants, but that knowledge, coupled with her wit would be relatively enough to ensure that even if Spookypants won the verbal exchange, the victory would not be clean.

Desire turned to Sett, as vapor escaped the other girl's lips when she spoke; at that point, she realized that the room was rather cold. The pink-haired girl rubbed her bare arms and shook her head slightly. "My 'shoom shooms' are last resorts, sorry," she replied with a slight shake of the head. "So far, I don't think Spooks is trying to be violent, even if the atmosphere is rather uncomfortable. Besides, I don't know whether my shooms will even touch him. Only make him angrier, perhaps. But I think I do have a thing or two to say to Spooks, myself."

So saying Desire turned back to the smug-looking ghost, a look of irritation and disdain on her face. "Hilarities? Really? You call that load of crass trap-fodder jokes? 'Sanzibar Desert walked into a bar. The barman said "long time no sea".' Seriously?! What kind of person tells such jokes? I'm sure your parties must have had a very great lot of drinks. Those jokes are so dry that the guests would need quick rehydration. And no, we didn't break into your house, the gate was practically open. Yeah, you do have rights, alive or dead, but you could express them without being so rude. Anyhow, funny is like so subjective."

Instantly regretting her words of choice when referring to the pink haired girls magic, she did find that the ghost had no idea what she was on about. So there was a plus in that. It was also good to know that Desire was partial to using her abilities until it was a last resort. Sett could respect someone holding an ace up their sleeve. She herself didn't possess anything. turning back to face the ghost, she noticed that its pleased look had dissippated.

It was then that Desire began the roast. She could feel the temperature of the room as the short pink haired girl began to spit out some straight fire. Pink eyes wide, Settle pursed her lips as she began to draw in air, disregarding the fact that it was really cold. She was glad that the girl was on her side. Sett didn't dare imagine the type of things that Didi could say about her.

The ghosts image flickered. If he were still alive, she could only imagine that his cheeks would have been a furious red. As it were, his cheeks only looked blue. Was that how ghosts normally blushed? Raising a hand, he gave a quick cough. "Er hrm. It's a dead thing, you wouldn't get them," he waved his hand, trying to insinuate that he had been invited to any kind of party since he had died. The teenagers crowding around his living room was probably the closest he had been to an actual fiasco. Pretending to straighten his collar.

[coolor=#336666]"Rude?!"[/color] he cried. "Are you not the ones who barged into my home throwing a party? You scoundrels," he pouted. Sett made a face. "For all of these books, you're actually really stupid, huh?" Sett snorted, crossing her arms again. "We ran those kids out of here because I thought I felt something bad coming from this house, turns out the only bad thing here are your manners." Got 'em.

The man made yet another startled jump. He was about to say something before his face changed. A hand raised to his chin as he disappeared and reappeared in all of the different corners of the room. His pondering complete, he appeared before the two again, only this time behind them, forcing the two to turn around. "Something bad, I think I have an idea. I'd need someone who can interact a little but more with the physical world that just tossing objects about. Please, follow me."

Evaporating into thin air, the door farther down the room opened up once more, beckoning the two to follow the man through the house. Sett was still on edge but let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. "To punch or not to punch, that is the question," she muttered, waving for Desire to stay behind her as she lead the way.

Desire was glad to see that her verbal blows had made quite the metaphoric mark, even if there was no physical injury. 'Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never harm me', so went the saying. Desire was sure that whoever had made that statement hadn't met some particularly gifted individuals. Perhaps like herself. Truth, she didn't really know whether she did have a talent for slinging insults, but she was quite satisfied with the results. Now if only the blasted spook would keep from making the room any colder....

The ghost's attempted comeback was to try to wave off her latest barb with the impression that he'd been invited to one or two afterlife jigs after his demise. Well, at least he didn't attempt to fight Desire on her level, so she decided to allow him be in the meantime. At least he had wriggled away from the fight, rather than attempt a riposte. Although, to be sincere, Desire was a little dissatisfied that the ghost had not tried to retort. "Lame escape, but meh..." the pink haired girl mused, as she rolled her eyes.

All the same, it did seem that the spook couldn't just do without calling them various synonyms of the word 'miscreant' at whatever chance he could. Sett, however, was quick to straighten him out on the false notion that the two girls were part of the band of delinquents who had thought the dead guy's house was as good a place as any to guzzle booze away from the prying eyes of them adults. And she hadn't been too delicate with words herself, which Desire noted with a great level of satisfaction. Of course, Spookypants was irate, but seemed to catch himself before launching into his next set of vituperations. After a bit of contemplation, which was expressed by his constantly blinking from one point to the other in the room, he finally appeared behind the two girls, causing Desire to whip round quickly, fearing mischief from him. The ghost, for his part, seemed to have something else on his mind.

It appeared that the ghost was in need of someone to do something 'physical' for him. Desire had heard a number of unsettling stories with a similar color: a person was killed, returned as a vengeful ghost, and possessed the body of a hapless innocent, who was used to perpetuate revenge, and whose life either wasn't spoken of after the whole bloody business, or the hapless innocent had been clearly and explicitly stated to have been most positively ruined after the incident. It was rather reasonable, of course, for Desire to be most uninterested in the likelihood of such an event. Whichever the case, it was difficult to flat out refuse, as the two girls hadn't even been given the option of saying no.

Following Sett's gesture to stay behind her, Desire sighed and shrugged. "While punching would be the more gratifying of the two options, it will most likely not work unfortunately," she replied, "as the object of our intended violence is intangible. Ah well, at least he said'please'. But I don't think we should be partaking in any rituals or doing strange stuff which we don't understand. Who knows what Spookypants might be up to?"
