Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Linku~

Yet another day, yet another chance for Snow to earn some money, and appease the Guild besides. She had, at least, ended back up in one of her favorite places. In the Lavender Dog. The first pub she had come to upon entering into the world again properly. It would seem that here she was to start off on her newest mission since gaining C rank within the guild. She had expected things to get harder, but she had been slightly disappointed when she read the mission request. Now all she had to do was wait for Doc.

She had been told to find a partner. And she had been told they couldn't be afraid of ghosts. She couldn't think of anyone less afraid of spirits than the guy who seemed content to spend 90% of his time learning about them, and speaking with them. She had sent the missive a few days ago. Now all she had to do was hope he had gotten it, and that he would show up sometime in the near future.

Til then...She pushed open the doors of the now familiar pub, and took a seat at the well polished bar. She had a smile on her face when Toby, the barkeep she had known for a while now, turned to face her. "I'll be damned! Look what the cat dragged in!" Snow hugged him as he came around the bar. "You'll be wanting a butterbeer, am I right?" Snow laughed and nodded. Same old Toby. Just one thing was new. "Is that a wedding ring on your finger?" Toby laughed and set the drink in front of Snow, waving away her attempt to pay. "Sure is. Think I'm gonna end up selling this place in a few months."

Snow nearly spit the drink onto the bar. "Why the hell would you do that?" Toby grinned from ear to ear. "Got a little one on the way. Can't be raising him -- or her -- in a bar, now can I? Gonna go legit. Open an accounting office or something." Snow laughed and shook her head. "If that's what you want. But don't you go selling this place without talking to me first." She gave a wink and than sat back to wait as Toby moved on to his next customer. She hoped Doc would be there soon.

Alastor was feeling a bit tired that was for sure, but he was doing his best to keep up with everything as best as he could. He had taken a lot of time to just wander and it had meant now that he was essentially working on missions 24/7 it was hard work. It was work, sleep and transport. Luckily most missions still had lots of downtime so he could catch a few extra minutes of relaxations. But he knew he kind of had too. One could not become strong and wise alone on travel, you needed to face hard work as well, so that was what he was doing. He now aimed at the last mage rank he could achieve, the one that'd eventually set him apart from others and make it clear he was capable of pulling his own weight.

S-rank, but first, he also knew that on the downtime from the A-ranked missions he had promised to assist Snow. The missions would not officially count for him as he did it in unofficial business. Non the less he was happy to help his friend as he took his first steps into the bar. Quickly smelling Snows furry scent in the air he waved his arm up and yelled despite the indoor location. "SNOOOW! I'm FINALLY HERE!" He called before walking up and slamming a few coins down on the table. "A butterbeer too thanks".

Turning to Snow he seemed to quickly chug his beer, sitting crosslegged on top of the barstool before breathing out "the walk is long to here, so sorry it took me so long to get here. Now. You had a mission and you mentioned the spooky !" He called grinning and awaiting excited to hear more from her. Despite Shadow seeming to be rather uninterested, casually strolling around the bar all by himself.

Snow would have winced if anyone else had yelled that loud in the small tavern. But it was Alastor, so it wasn't unexpected. She laughed a little and called, "Over here Doc!" She knew he heard her, and that he had other means of finding her besides hearing. So she took a sip of her butterbeer and waited a little longer. He made it to the seat beside her in no time at all, Toby smiling at the blind man as he put a second bottle on the bar and walked away. He knew well enough that when Snow was here on business it was best to keep his nose out of it.

"Yes, I have a mission to do with the spooky." She laughed a little and took out the mission poster. "Seems someone moved into a house in Coreopsis and its haunted. So we're going to have to head over there and see what's going on. They mostly just want to know if it's actually haunted or not, but I want to know if its a benign or malevolent spirit. Which is where you come in." She gave a smile toward Doc, and one to Shadow.

"Couldn't think of anyone else I'd want to see creepy things with." She laughed again. As much as she believed in superstition, this one was more or less out of her usual area of expertise when it came to the weird. So she drank the rest of her butterbeer and checked her pack. "I would like to be there by nightfall if we can. We've got about 20 minutes until the train leaves, so it's up to you. You coming along or not?" She stood up, paying her tab with Toby as she did. "Don't go selling this place off til I get back to you!" Then she waited on Alastor, hoping he would be up for another adventure.

Alastors ears perked up rather quickly as Snow made the first mention of... the spooky Alastor grinning immensely as she explained the situation "oh this will be fun! I havn't done a spiritual investigation like that in a long while! Finding ghosts, ghasts boggarts and other beings that is haunting a house? Not gonna be all that easy, but if anyone can do it its the two of us!" Alastor spoke grinning widely as he chugged down his beer. Grabbing from the bottle that Toby had put forth. There was nothing wrong in a lil' extra was there?

Shadow meanwhile was more obsessing over the fact that, as Snow had mentioned, she wanted to know if it was malevonent or benign. Malevonent spirits, particulary the haunting kind could be very dangerous. One moment you'd be washing dishes the other your skin was ripped off from a banshees claws. It would mean they had to take a lot of protective precautions in measure to avoid danger.

Still giggling to himself Alastor stood up and stretched his arms a bit before putting them on the table, leaning forward and almost over Snow "i say if there is creepy crawlies in the house we find it and we help it move onto somewhere more wanted. " He spoke smiling before offering his hand to get her up off of her chair. Letting her pay he tab, adding of course his own payment, before quickly going outside. The sun still warm and the air still crisp, though a strong wind was picking up.

"Sooo... Shadow is insisting we buy a few things first if that is alright with you? Bag of salt, iron shavings, candles and some soap. Not sure if the soap is a hint for you, me or the ghost but those items usually work to lessen the effects of haunting spirits to a degree." He spoke smiling "any knowlegde you got about these kind of spookies? I mean you do have some interesting culture yourself".

Snow nodded. "I don't mind stopping to buy some things. Seems like a fine plan honestly til we know what we're up against." She headed out the door with a final wave in Toby's direction. She had no intention of staying around longer than they had to. Bot when there was a job to be done. And this one sounded far more interesting than any jobs she had taken on for GH so far.

She waited until both Alastor and Shadow were our side before giving her two cents on the possibilities. It seemed that for the most part they were in the dark as far as what they were going to be facing. "I don't honestly have much experience when it comes to these sorts of things. My background deals more in spirits of the kind which dwell in the forests or lakes. Not so much in haunting. Unless it were to be a banshee I don't see my knowledge as being of much use."

Honesty was always the best policy when embarking on some thing dangerous. No sense getting yourself or a partner killed just to save some face. So she believed anyway. There was a Shoppe in town though which boasted a broad collection of things foe protection against the dead. She led them there, opening the little glass fronted door to be attacked by the smell of patchouli incense. Gross. The little bell above the door tinkled, announcing their entrance.

It was still a bit creepy honestly. But hey, they needed creepy. A woman with thick glasses and a far away gaze came out from behind a beaded curtain, smiling at the trio. "Welcome to the Bell, The Book and the Candle! What can I get for you today?" Snow smiled and rattled off her list. The woman nodded quite seriously before going to fetch the necessary things scattered around her cluttered Shop. "Best if you're careful. Son spirits don't like being banished you know. But I threw some pine tar into your order just in case. It's for last resorts only mind." Snow nodded her thanks, taking the proffered bag of goodies (sort of) and turning to Doc. "Any thing else or are we ready to get this show on the road?"
