It took her a while for her to say something, but she had finally spoken up. He looked at her as it seemed like she wanted to know, if he knew dragons alignments with humans. Still, it wasn’t only that, but she seemed to wonder if there were other kind of dragons out there besides the basic of elements. He wasn’t sure and he didn’t think there was. Still, he could never be too sure about those things, so that was an answer he really could come up with. Well he could and then the last question had him a bit stump, but at the same time not really. He wasn’t sure that anybody could learn dragon. He felt like everybody had to have something close to the power that they have gotten from their dragon. These questions were hard to ask, but he did say that answering them would be something he would do, if he could.

”Well,” he paused for a bit. ”How can I start. Let’s see; I don’t know if all dragons are in the side of human. Still, if you are being trained by a dragon, then I’m pretty sure they are favorable towards humans. Still, those are probably the dragons that seek out to teach this magic. If there are any other dragons, who know how they feel towards us,” he said trying to answer that the best as possible, but he wasn’t sure if he did a good job on that. Vlad had took his cup of water and started to drink some of it as he was listening to Yuurei. He wondered what else he would say. ”Can I get a grape juice for this guy. It seems like he is going to need it,” the monkey said that and it seemed like she was okay with giving him another drink.

”As for different type of dragons other than those who are probably teaching your basic elements to other humans. I guess there should be; I mean honestly I don’t know how many dragons are out there. There could be only like twenty or probably hundreds; this is something I never asked the dragon that trained me. I figured I didn’t need to as I already knew right then and there dragons were real,” he smiled at Cleia. He noticed the drink was there waiting for him and he looked over to Vlad and nodded at him. It seemed like he was thinking about him and he took a sip of the drink as he put it down and sighed. That hit the spot, but moving on he had one more thing to speak about. ”As for anybody learning dragon slayer magic,” he looked at her with a smile.

”I don’t think anybody could learn it. It all depends on who you are, and if you have something special about you. One thing I learned about me and an old friend of mines is that we had the basic form of our elemental powers and ended being respected dragon slayer of that element. I guess having the basics of that element is a step, but showing the dragon your potential to be a candidate is another thing. Still, once again who knows if there are dragons out there who could care less about those things and may want to teach you something because they found that person interesting,” that was how he answered that question, but he wasn’t sure if it helped her out with what she wanted to know. Still, there was one thing he noticed and that she was really interested in possibly becoming one of the few Dragon slayers out there.

He looked at his cup for a second and then looked at Cleia. ”You have a lot of question about dragons. I mean more than anybody has ever asked me Cleia. Are you by any chance looking for such a power? If that is the goal you are talking about, then all I can say is being careful and make your decisions thoroughly,” he said as he turned to his cup with a smile, grabbed his cup and took more of his juice in without any hesitation.

Concerning her question on whether dragons were favorably disposed towards humans, it was obvious that Yuurei's guess was as good as hers. From the way he had spoken, the dragon that trained him had isolated itself from other dragons... that is, if dragons were gregarious animals. She really didn't expect him to know how many dragons were out there, since he wasn't one himself. Hopefully, a bunch of humongous scaly reptiles were not holding a conclave on what to do with the human race.

When Yuurei talked about Dragon Slayer magic being selective, that not everyone could learn it, Cleia felt a little downcast. Her magic was nothing like elemental magic, and as a result, might make it impossible for her to succeed in the quest that had taken her out of Magnolia time and time again. But then, perhaps she could cling to the statement that one could learn such magic, if the dragon actually found something special about them.

Yuurei assumed, from all her questions, that she was seeking out a dragon, an assumption that was correct, though her own reasons for doing so were of a peculiar sort. She didn't understand why he said she should be careful and make her decisions thoroughly. Was there a hidden condition about Dragon Slayer magic she had to be wary about? Did Dragon Slayers have some sort of flaw in their powers that gave them a serious problem, like say, made them vampires of their respective elements? That would be a troublesome thing indeed, but Cleia was willing to make that sacrifice, if only things worked out as expected. Perhaps Yuurei could shed more light on his reason for that statement.

"Yeah, you're right. I do have a desire to find a certain dragon. But if you don't mind, Mr. Yuurei, why do you say I should be careful and make my decisions thoroughly? I expect the journey to be hazardous, yes, but is there anything else I should watch out for? Is there some sort of'point of no return' I need to be aware of?"

When Yuurei had taken as much of the juice that he wanted, he placed the cup on the counter again and looked over to Cleia as she was quick to speak up to him again. It seemed like she wanted to know why he had said the last thing he said. He could only rub his head because it was something he couldn’t say much about. He had said enough and hopefully she would listen to him when the time came. He chuckled a bit as he smiled at her. ”Well, there is not much I can say about what I just said. Just trust me and don’t worry, your journey shouldn’t be life threatening, but things can get confusing,” he smiled at her as he looked down to his stomach and it started rumbling. He laughed a bit as he blushed as well because it seemed like he was hungry now.

”Sorry about that; I ate this morning, but my it seems like I didn’t eat enough,” he said continuing on with his laugh. ”This is a good time for you get me some fruits as well. That way I don’t go crazy when you are eating and I’m just there watching,” Vlad added before Yuurei did anything for himself only. He stopped laughing though and looked at his stomach and it rumbled again. He rubbed his stomach because he was going to have to satisfy it as soon as he could. When it calm though he looked over to Cleia with a smile on his face. ”I guess all this talk about dragons made me hungry,” he looked around to see that there were more people around the guild, then there was before and he figured going out would be the best way to get a good meal for the day.

He was about to leave the place, but he remembered a few things he didn’t finished his drink, he was about to just leave Cleia right there, and he found that rude as hell. He stopped right there took his juice and drank the rest of his juice and placed the cup on the table with a tip as well. He looked over to Cleia this time as he figured asking her to join him wouldn’t be much of a problem right. ”Well I’m hungry, and I don’t really want to eat anything here, so I’m going out to look for a place to eat. Do you by chance want to come along with me?” he asked her with a smile on his face. Vlad looked at him and figured he would ask her if she wanted to go with them.

Unfortunately, it seemed that Yuurei was not going to shed more light on his previous statement. Secrets were usually a major part of intriguing plots, though Cleia was not too sure she was interested in making any costly mistakes when interacting with dragons. It was somewhat surprising when he mentioned that the journey ought not to have high chances of fatalities; such endeavors were almost always very dangerous with the serious risk of getting eaten on the grounds of hubris. He did mention something about confusing. Perhaps the dragons were philosophical, playing mind games on their seekers, to see if they were mentally capable. Or perhaps it was something else...

She did hear Yuurei's stomach's loud rumble, and turned to look at him with an amused expression on her face. He stated that he had eaten earlier, but was already hungry again. Well, she could relate with that. There were a few times that one just got hungry very quickly, though today was not such a day for her. The breakfast she had had was sufficient to last her for a good while, so she wasn't really interested in grubbing anything serious. However, since he gave her an offer in all politeness and courtesy, it would be improper of her to refuse.

"I'm not really hungry, though I guess taking a walk around Magnolia wouldn't hurt, so sure, I'll come along. I appreciate the invitation. Thank you very much."

So saying, she got off her stool and pushed her half empty glass away from her. She saw no reason to finish the water, since she had not necessarily been thirsty, to begin with. There wasn't anything she was doing in the guild, anyway.

Yuurei wondered what she was going to say and it wasn’t long for he got an answer. She was okay with heading out with him, which was good to know, but it seemed like she wasn’t hungry. He was okay with that in a sense as he was going out because he wanted to eat. Still, he waited for her get off her seat now since she was going to come along with him. He started to walk towards the exit of the guild and while he did this it seemed like someone wanted to slap Yuurei on his back. When he felt this he stopped walking if only for a second to see who it was. There was Jamze right there sitting down as he was looking at him with a smile on his face. He shook his head as he didn’t like that he was touched by this man. ”Don’t worry when I come back I’ll take your money,” he said as he continued walking.

The Dragon Slayer shook his head as he was making his way towards the exit again. ”Who is that guy?” he asked Yuurei wondering why he slapped him on his back. ”When I was learning to play the card games in the guild he was one of the few people who taught me how to play. Now I just usually take money and many others like it’s nothing. Still, he is also very sexual when it comes to other men, which he knows I don’t like, but what can I do about it?” he shrugged when he said this as he opened the door that was in front of him as he was now outside of the guild’s building and now outside. He smiled as he looked up into the sky to see the beautiful sun shining down upon the whole city.

”Walking around Magnolia is always good. You may never know what you will come across, or at least that is what I’ve learned walking around here,” he said to Cleia. ”There is spot on the other side of the city that makes some great fried chicken in a food spot there,” he said as he started walking figuring that he would lead the way towards their destination. While he was walking he figured he would ask Cleia what kind of magic that she used at the moment. Their last encounter they didn’t do much where they were using magic to move around the place. Yuurei only did that, but it was just to light up the place, which revealed that he was a light mage and nothing more. ”So why kind of magic do you use at this moment Cleia?” he asked her curious to know what she used while she looked for a dragon.

Following Yuurei out of the guild hall went with little incident, though someone halted him momentarily by slapping him on the back. It was obvious, from Yuurei's face and body language that he did not want to spend time with this person. He explained something to Vlad, but Cleia didn't bother trying to eavesdrop, as it was not any of her business.

In a moment, they were out in the warm noonday sun. It wasn't that kind of sun that drained your energy due to its unrelenting heat, but a more benign weather that encouraged leisurely strolls. Yuurei commented about his destination: a food joint that prepared fried chicken, which in his opinion, was 'great'. Cleia had never sampled such a place before; this was a good way of knowing more about those places one could dash for a quick snack or something else, and even though Cleia preferred to cook her food, knowledge gained was never lost.

As they walked, Yuurei asked her what sort of magic she utilized. In reply, she held up her right hand, and showed him the purple runes that floated serenely around her wrist. Then she pulled her hand through the ring of runes, leaving them floating as a 'broken' purple halo of sorts, above her open palm.

"It's called the 'Zouka Teishiki Kouhon', or in basic language, the Universe Formula Manuscript. My former mentor told me that it's a variation of my inherited magic, and it's a sort of script magic, though it doesn't necessarily work that way. I haven't even gotten the full hang of it; it's rather difficult to write out a series of compatible runes that will give you the desired result. So, until I can design a unique, workable combination, I'll just focus on the few formulae I know and make them stronger."

She didn't see the need to show him a demonstration, though if he asked for one, or asked her to further explain her magic (of which she had given but a vague definition), she would be happy to oblige him.

While they were walking it seemed like she was doing something with her hand. He noticed that she was using what looked like the basics of her magic. He could see the runes that were around her hand and soon after they were floating above her palm. That was a nice magic, but it didn’t tell him what she could do with it, so he waited for her to explain, or at least hope that she did that. And she did and when she spoke and finished, he was kind of confused. He had repeated the words that she said into his head over and over again. Vlad was lost the moment she spoke, so he figured he would forget about it. Still, while he was thinking about it they were also walking. He rubbed the back of his head as he chuckled as he figured he would simplify it and see if it was the same thing.

”So you are able to make things with the runes you bring out with your magic?” he asked her, but figured it was much more complicated than that and much more versatile as well. ”Is that really what you got out of that?” he asked him. Yuurei looked at him and scratched his head. ”Honestly that is exactly what I got out of what she said. Still, I could be totally wrong,” he said with a smile on his face. It wasn’t his magic, and honestly he could tell she wasn’t trying to get into details with her magic, or she figured that he had come across her type of magic before. He wasn’t sure, but he continued walking through the streets of Magnolia. There were people who noticed him and smile at him. He could only wave at them because they had done it first.

There were girls that were together who could only stay in place when Yuurei walked by and screech when he looked at them. He turned his head away and chuckle because this was something he had gotten use to in Magnolia, but he honestly didn’t mind that in this city. ”So Cleia are you enjoying your time in the guild? What’s your goal in the guild, if I can? By the way if you want to get to know me better you can ask me anything. Just know I might do the same thing,” he laughed as he was trying to have a friendly conversation with her. They didn’t speak much about themselves when they first met each other. They had talked about the guild and then soon after Cleia had been robbed. There was no small talk after that because they had to do something, but this time it was different.

Vlad on the other hand smiled at Yuurei because he thought he was doing something differently. He had patted his master on his back with that same smile still there. ”Nice going there boss. You know what you are doing to get close,” he whispered at his master, but Yuurei looked at him with a confuse face and shrugged at him. ”What are you talking about. I’m just trying to get to know her more,” he said in a low tone because he didn’t want things to escalate between the two of them in front of Cleia.

From the looks on Yuurei's and Vlad's faces, Cleia was sure that her explanation had not really answered all their questions. She chuckled at the little discussion between the two of them, and then decided to try explaining herself further. From seemingly nowhere, more runes congregated above her palm to form a solid short staff, which pulsated with a soft blue glow.

"Put it this way, Mr. Yuurei, my magic kind of bridges the gap between energy and matter. I can transform my magical energy into a staff, for example, as you can see. At will, I can deconstruct the staff back into runes, which will fade off into energy. So far, I am only capable of using my own magic energy to construct a few things... heck, I'm very limited in what I can create, though I've heard that true masters of this magic can actually create stuff, and just as easily destroy already existing stuff, by forcefully converting them to energy. I earlier mentioned that it's a form of script magic, which is very true, because even though the Zouka Teishiki Kouhon doesn't look like script magic, it follows the same concept: you write runes, they carry out a special effect.

The disadvantage of this magic is that it takes long for the runes to be written, as they are very complex, and not all rune combinations will work. The advantage though, is that once you get a functional combo, you can just write it down ahead of any impending battle, and the runes will stay with you, like these guys..."

... at this point, she gestured to the runes that floated around her,

"... until the time you need to utilize them for anything."

That ought to be more explanatory,or so she thought. As the three of them made their way through Magnolia's crowded streets, Cleia watched, with bemused interest, how Yuurei was quite the celebrity here in Magnolia. It was expected, since people already knew about him far beyond this place. She was suddenly aware of Yuurei asking her questions. Apparently, he didn't mind her knowing more about him, and obviously would like to know more about her.

"Even though the guild is not necessarily tailored to my likes, I surprisingly have found it homely," she said, after a thoughtful pause. "I don't have any particular goals that are directly related to my choosing Fairy Tail; I just wanted a new home, and I guess I've found it."

She was going to thank Yuurei for being friendly, but it seemed that Vlad and himself were having a seemingly discreet conversation, and she didn't want to barge in on it, so she just watched them, tickled at the little monkey's antics.

It seemed like she was going to explain the situation with her magic with further examples and details. He noticed that she had created a staff from the runes that were floating around her hand and soon after she had explained everything else. It was interesting to listen to and her magic was able to create things and or turn things back into energy. It was an interesting thing to learn about as it was the very first time he had heard about this kind of magic. ”I get it so you are able to mold things into creations as long as you write the runes beforehand since things can get complicated, if it were to be written in battle,” he said as he noticed that there were more runes floating into her hands at the end of her little explanation. Vlad listen and just got that she could create things with her magic and if she wanted decompose it back into energy.

Still, they were just walking through Magnolia still and there was nothing like it right now. He had remembered that he needed to bother Yuurei get him some fruits before he started eating his food, or buying it. This was only because Vlad would bother him for some, if he didn’t get him anything to eat. The two coughed as they looked at Cleia as they had been listening to her this whole time. ”I know what you mean. This guild is so free spirited that I wasn’t sure if I should have joined this place. Still, glad that I did because I was able to find a nice place to call home and at the same time I was able who cared for one another. Still, I guess that is a goal well achieve honestly, a place to call home,” he said to her with a smile on his face.

”Hey Yuurei don’t forget to buy me some fruits. You don’t want me picking at your food now do you right?” he asked him as he snickered a bit, but meant what he said. ”Oh right I forgot. Well more like I haven’t been looking out for a fruit stand,” he said to Vlad. ”Well we passed like two of them so far, but hey who’s counting,” he said with a smile on his face. Yuurei looked at him with a glare in his eyes as he was playing games. ”Alright I get it,” he said as he continued walking through the streets looking for a stand where he could buy fruits. It didn’t take long to find the next fruit stand and he patted Vlad on his head with a smile on his face.

He was quick to move towards it with as he was looking at the fruits. ”Start pointing,” he simply said as Vlad had started picking out which one he wanted to eat. The man behind the stand started gathering the fruits that were being pointed out by a monkey. ”So any other big timers you met from the guild?” he asked as the man was finishing up with the fruits that Vlad wanted Yuurei had grabbed the bag with a smile and then he had given him the jewels that were needed to pay. He looked over to Cleia quickly after paying. ”Do you want any fruits here?” he asked her before they were off to the burger joint.

Yuurei seemed to get a more accurate idea of her magic with the most recent explanation. She smiled and gave him a thumbs-up sign. "That's exactly the point, Mr. Yuurei. And since the rune writing of the Zouka Teishiki Kouhon is complicated, it may yield more powerful effects than your normal rune or scripting magic. Thus, users of this magic amply prepare themselves when in more peaceful times. The strength of the magic depends on the user's magic level, of course, and how well she (in my case) is able to write the runes."

Yeah, "free-spirited" was a good term to label the guild. With all she'd seen, she now knew why they were infamous in the Magic Council. Perhaps, one of these days, when she became stronger, she would bring more calm to the guild... She snapped out of her thoughts when Vlad began pestering Yuurei to buy him fruits. Cleia gave a little chuckle and followed them to the fruit stand where Vlad made his choice. Yuurei chivalrously asked her if she wanted fruit, and she knew that he would wish to pay for them. When they got to the food joint, he might also want to pay, so as to be gentlemanly. Perhaps she would decline one offer and accept the other, though she would try to beat him to paying first. She figured that since she wasn't hungry, she would pass on the fast food joint. So as not to offend him, she would buy fruits, then. She could always eat them later.

"I guess I could buy some here. They look real fresh and nice."

She picked a few apples and grapes, then brought out her wallet and proceeded to pay. And as for meeting any powerful members of the guild...

"Uh... I don't think so. I've seen a few other guild members, well, just one of them I've really interacted with. Brian. Very quiet guy. Beyond him, nah. I haven't really even interacted with much of them seriously. And you're probably the only 'big gun' I've met."
