It’s a nice day in Magnolia as the sun is beaming down at the people of the city without the clouds getting in its way for too long. The birds flocked together in the sky and moving towards their next destination. The kids around the areas could be heard laughing and running around playing game with their peers as their parents watched them and gossip with another. The city itself being crowded by people shopping and enjoying their time with each other. Still, for one person in the city had just came out of his house. It was the afternoon right now and this person had stepped out with his friend on his shoulder. He had his headphones over his ears, his jacket on, but not zipped and a smile on his face. Listening to music right now he was heading towards a daily destination right now. He was heading towards the guild hall right now, which was something he did daily when he was in the city. Vlad right now was looking around as people were waving at him and Yuurei. They knew who he was because he was around him a lot and being a monkey, they knew he was a pet for Yuurei. He could only wave at them and it was the same for him. He waved at them as they were happy to see him, but he had somewhere to head to right now. The Dragon Slayer had continued to make his way through the city doing the same thing. A smile here and there, a wave to say indicate him saying hello, or him having to take pictures with the fan girls that loved him very much. It wasn’t something difficult to do as this was the one city he didn’t mind people knowing he exist. He had finally arrived at the guild building and he looked at Vlad with a smile on his face. ”I guess it will be another day in the guild?” he asked. Yuurei shrugged his shoulders ”I don’t know yet. I wasn’t thinking about doing that, but if somebody wants to go out and do something I might as well do that. Still, depending who’s there we might stay, or go take a walk. I do want to see the cherry blossom and hang around there for a bit. I haven’t been there in a while, but that is because I been pretty busy,” he said to Vlad. ”I guess it’s all up to you then. I’m okay with walking around, but get me some fruits on the way, if we do then,” he said as he nodded and pushed the door in front of him right now. When he opened he could see that there were more people in here right now. They were loud and having fun right now. There were some people who were on their own, or just hanging by the bar counter on their own. He had waved at a few people who looked at him and said his name and waved at him. Yuurei just walked over to the counter and sat down; the bartender smiled at him and quickly knew what to get him. It didn’t take long, but she brought some water for Vlad and grape juice for Yuurei right now. He had smile and taken a sip of his drink and Vlad had done the same thing with his own. |

This was one of those serene stops in her hunt for a sliver from her past. During such stops, Cleia always returned to Magnolia, if not for anything, just to enjoy its peaceful and friendly atmosphere. Magnolia always had a good way of keeping her optimistic, and after every tiresome and disappointing outing, she could rest on the fact that she had a home to return to. And there was something else about Magnolia that was close to her heart, for many more reasons than one... She had been out in the morning, first to carry out some shopping and restock her depleted supplies in her little pantry. That had gone on without incident, and after she had taken her time to prepare a nice, refreshing breakfast for herself, she headed out once again, but this time to a place where she was sure there would be 'incident'. And that also, was home. It was very surprising that one who preferred quiet and less rowdy places had come to find solace in such a place as chaotic as Fairy Tail, but that was how things had turned out. As she approached the guild hall, she wondered what her guildmates would be up to today. Loud singing, maybe? Or perhaps some goofy game? Possibly a good-natured all-out brawl? Cleia had never tried to join such fights, nor had she tried to stop them. They were funny, usually, though the main reason was because she didn't have the strength to break up such things. Hoping that that was not 'what was on the menu' today, albeit with a smile on her face, she pushed the large guild doors open and stepped into the cool interior. Great! They had picked the last option. Cleia ducked in time to avoid a flying bottle and scuttled as fast as her feet could carry her into a corner. From experience, she had learned that these brawls always took place in the center of the main hall... though there were often cases of 'collateral damage'. Once safely there, she took refuge behind a large table which had been toppled onto its side, sat cross-legged on the floor, and producing a book which she had taken along in the event that she might be a little bored, she opened it and managed to divide her attention between reading its contents, and watching the proceedings of the combat. At length, the friendly battle subsided, and the guildmates began busying themselves in less... vigorous, but just-as-rowdy events. With a sigh of relief, Cleia fetched a chair and made herself more comfortable. as she read, she heard some of her companions call a familiar name. Looking up, she noticed the familiar grey hair and lanky build, though she had never seen the monkey that sat on his shoulder before. Kind of reminded her of Mauve, which was a little bit depressing, but she pushed the thought away, closed her book and rose to her feet. In a few moments after Yuurei had received his drink, Cleia drew a stood up beside him and sat down. "Hey, Mr. Yuurei! Nice seeing you here. Looks like Mr. Silver isn't troubling you much nowadays, eh?" she asked with a slight grin. She was of course referring to the first time they'd met in Oshibana, where he'd told her that the guild master was always 'throwing' him out of Magnolia, so he could go do some good deeds. She then looked at Vlad. "Oh, hello there. Mr. Yuurei, who's your little friend? He wouldn't mind if I touched him, would he?" Cleia questioned, as she reached out gingerly to tickle the white monkey on the chin. |

While he was relaxing a bit in the guild hall, it never seemed to have stop being so loud. There was nothing he could do about it and honestly he didn’t want it to stop. This was a guild that was known for this, which he honestly was proud of. He tapped his finger on the counter though as they were all doing something, and at the same time he didn’t want to bother them and get in their way. Still, there was a person approaching him and Vlad. The monkey being oblivious to the situation continued to drink the water that had been given to him. He was just looking around at the people here and couldn’t believe they were actually friends and guild mates with his boss. It was interesting to see how different and diverse each of them were with each other. It didn’t take long for Cleia to get close to him and he looked over to his side and smiled at her. She spoke about their guild master and he chuckled a bit because he wasn’t bothering him today, which was actually really good for him. It meant he got to stay in Magnolia until the master was tired of him staying here. ”Nice to see you too Cleia. I didn’t think I would see you here. I figured you would be traveling somewhere around Fiore,” he said to her. ”Nah he hasn’t bother me for a while, but that is because I been busy enough that when I came back to Magnolia he made sure to leave me alone for the time being. Either he’s getting soft on me, or he heard what I’ve been doing lately,” he had gone on quite a few jobs lately. There had been some where he had got paid for, yet there were a few that he had done because it was something he felt he needed to do. Still, there was one thing he had forgotten and that was that she didn’t know Vlad. The monkey even looked at her and wonder who she was. He was about to say something, but then he heard that she wanted to touch him. He figured he would stay quiet for now. Yuurei looked at her and smiled at her. ”Sure you can. He loves to be scratched and rubbed more than anything. He’s kind of a smart ass, but don’t worry about it,” he ended that as she had reached for Vlad and was touching his chin. The monkey just closed his eyes and figured that telling her to rub his chest would be good to. ”That feels good. Might as well scratch my chest to. No rush though, but this feels nice,” he said to her as he stood in place allowing her continue on with what she was doing. There wasn’t every day you get to meet a talking monkey, but Vlad was one of them. Yuurei wasn’t upset about that though because he had someone he could talk to all the time. It wasn’t something he wanted to do all the time, but he was there and it was too late to take it back. ”How are you though? I’m assuming you taking a break from your travels, but how have they been?” he asked her. They had gone back to Magnolia from Oshibana, but from there they had separated and had gone their own way. It was cool, but catching up was always better; he had gotten stronger, met different people gone through a few jobs and more people knew who he was now than before. |

Cleia was delighted to see that the monkey could talk, but she was hardly surprised. Since she had spent some years of her life with a talking cat, to the point that it seemed normal to her, then it wasn't much of a big deal if some other animal could also speak. The monkey seemed rather forward, but Cleia didn't mind. She obliged him and tickled his furry chest, after a while with his chin. As she did so idly, she actually was listening to what Yuurei was saying. He had assumed correctly that she was taking a break, and he wanted to know what she had been up to. In her opinion, it hadn't been too awesome or filled with glory days, though she was learning a lot more about Fiore, and was even getting a firmer grasp on her magic. "Well, they've been rather bland," she said, concerning her travels, with a shrug of one shoulder. "Mostly, it's been uneventful, and I always end up running out of the leads I've been following. I can't help thinking, anyway, that little by little, something is unraveling and drawing me closer to my goal... though I'm not sure whether that will end up as a good thing, or not." Her other hand (the one that was not playing with the white monkey) reached out and took a glass of water that the waitress had placed before her. She gave the waitress a grateful nod, and then continued with what she was saying. "Besides finding it difficult trying to get myself a mission, I'd say things have been pretty fair. At least, the experience of wandering around Fiore has its benefits." She paused, a sort of cue that she was concluded with her response. Then, she said, turning back to the white monkey. "Your friend is kind of cute. Soooo, what's your name?" |

OoC: I can help you with d rank mission and count them as normal threads, but that is all if you truly need someone to do d class jobs with Vlad had felt her hand moving to his chest and he felt rather good. She had some magical hands, or that was just how he felt. He just stood there in place as it seemed like the other two were having a conversation, but he honestly didn’t care about it. Yuurei heard her about her travels and it seemed like it wasn’t all that good, but she had been bumping into leads. He wasn’t sure what kind of leads she was talking about, but it seemed that it had to do something about her goal. That was a good thing in his eyes and he smiled at her as that was good to here. He knew that at the end of it all things would be different for her, if she had a goal that she was getting close to. Yuurei took his cup at this moment and drank some of his juice again as he looked at her. It seemed like she was doing the same thing as well, but things were interesting when he heard that she was having a difficult time with getting herself on job. That wasn’t good honestly as that was how mages made their money most of the time. He figured he would offer her his help, but it seemed like she was getting her money doing other things. It wasn’t only that because before he could say something about offering his help, she had spoken to Vlad as she was asking him for his name. Vlad opened his eyes as he heard that and right away he knew she was talking to him. ”Well. My name is Vlad nice to me you, Cleia was it?” he smiled at her because she was kind enough to scratch him without him really asking her. Yuurei put his cup down now as he was leaning on the chair he was on. ”That’s interesting to hear. What is your goal?” he asked wondering what she would say about that. He figured he might as well ask her what was so difficult to get getting herself a job. He figured it could be because she wasn’t known, and if it were that, then he figured he could pull some strings and help her out. ”So what is so hard that is stopping you from getting yourself a job?” he asked her. There was no way Vlad could finish drinking his water with this woman scratching, but it was okay. The guild on the other hand was loud as ever, but it was a good loud. It meant there were people enjoying themselves and it was how they spent their day. |

"Yep, the name is Cleia, and the pleasure is all mine, Vlad," Cleia replied Vlad with a smile of her own. Yuurei was apparently interested in knowing more about what she'd been up to, and her issues concerning a job. Normally, Cleia was not one to divulge information about herself, but since she trusted Yuurei as part of her family, perhaps there was no harm in telling him a thing or two. "Okay, let's start with the job problem..." she trailed off and was silent for a while, then she ran a hand through her hair and shrugged again. "Oh, I don't know... might be because I'm not forceful enough, or I'm not often at the guild to get myself a contract. To be honest, the major reason is that I'm yet to get my act together. I can achieve that by settling down, but that would essentially mean that I stop searching for my goal. And I don't want that." And concerning her goal: "My goal, well, that's a long story, if you're up for it. It all boils down to finding a special someone, or at least, what happened to her. After that, I believe things will get a little darker for me." She took a drink of water from her glass, and looked vacant for a few seconds. "I think the major thing fueling my desire to get stronger is revenge, cliche as it may sound. However, I have legitimate reasons to get back at some people for what they did," she eventually said. All of a sudden, she gave Yuurei a quizzical look. "Tell me something, Mr. Yuurei. You're quite strong (I'm believing), and you seem to have traveled to quite a number of places. I'd like to know if dragons exist. More directly, have you ever seen a dragon? Or are they just a colorful myth?" |

Vlad nodded when he heard her say that her name was indeed Cleia. She had a nice smile indeed, but he looked over to Yuurei who was waiting for her to say something. It seemed like she had reasons for not being able to do jobs for herself and the guild. It seemed like she felt like she would lose her goal or lose track of her goal. Still, he didn’t think that could happened. She something to do and it was something that nothing could stop her. He knew that much as there were things that had been done in the past that he thought wouldn’t come to bite him in the ass, yet it did. There were people looking for him and they didn’t stop bothering him until he took care of them. Now he was safe and sound and there was nobody to bother him. ”I see were you coming from, but I doubt you have to worry about stopping your search. I don’t think that could happen,” he smiled at her. He was trying to reassure her that she nothing to worry about and that she should do whatever she wanted. Now as for her goal she didn’t want to get into details from how she said it. It seemed like there was someone that was missing. It was either that or this person had disappeared from her existences like his old master had done to him. It was interesting to hear, but it seemed like there was a darker story behind it. ”As for the long story I have time, but if you don’t want to talk about it now you don’t have to. I’m patient, so another time is alright,” he told her making sure she didn’t feel force to telling him anything. It seemed like it was a little dark as she had wanted revenge. It was not something that had bother him as there was always a reason for something and if that was her reason, then he didn’t judge. Hell the man didn’t like dark mages, yet he was always around them for some reason. It was because not all of them did things that were random. Some of them had a justification of what they did, or they didn’t do anything quite stupid. Anyways it seemed like she was done with herself for now and moved on to him. She had said a few things that he figured she already knew the answer to. Still, the question he was waiting for was if he had ever seen a dragon. He rubbed the back of his head. She had knew about him, but didn’t know about his magic it seemed. That was good to know that there were people in the world that didn’t snooze in other people’s business. ”Well if you asking me this, then you don’t know my magic. I’m only telling you this because you are Fairy Tail. I am a dragon slayer, but for some reason a lot of people know this about me. Now that you know I’m a dragon slayer, then you should know that I actually trained with a dragon and no I did not kill the dragon. She is my master and I guess she taught me this magic, so I could use it to protect Fiore one day. When that day comes I don’t know, but I know I’ll be ready when that day comes,” he smile. If she thought they were a myth, then she was going to be surprised about that. He was the only Dragon slayer in Fairy tail after all. Yuurei had taken his drink and finished the rest of it as he couldn’t help but drink it all. It was delicious and one of his favorite juices. Edited by Jova, Jul 12 2015, 12:21 AM.

Cleia somewhat appreciated the fact that Yuurei did not try to probe further into the details that she refused to reveal about herself. Most humans were nosy, and they would try various means from cajoling to niggling, just to get some new story to peddle about, in most cases. She considered telling him at that point in time, then decided against it, after giving it some thought. There would be time for that later, and perhaps by the time she would tell him, she would know more about him then. He went on to talk about dragons, and from what he said, they actually existed! Yuurei would not know how that statement gave her hope. One of the leads she had been chasing up and down involved a very strange kind of dragon. The things Yuurei had told her gave her a lot of questions she would have wanted to riddle him with, but she restrained herself, in case she embarrassed herself before him. She would rather die than allow that. Instead, she chose the most reasonable question to ask him; she couldn't help but start with this one, since it thoroughly baffled her: "Hold on a moment, Mr. Yuurei. You just said you're a Dragon Slayer. And you didn't kill the dragon. So... uh, how does that make you a Dragon Slayer again? And do you know whether that is the only dragon existing? And if not, do dragons teach different kinds of magic, or they all teach the same thing? And what makes Dragon slayer magic different from all the other types of magic? And if..." She froze, because to her horror, in her excitement, she had ended up streaming out all those questions. Afraid he might think of her as silly because of that, she averted her gaze to her glass and focused on it, while mumbling a "sorry". Yep, she could be that reticent sometimes... |

Now that he was done with speaking and drinking his juice, she was probably thinking about a lot of things that he had said. He wasn’t sure what kind of questions she would come up with, but he knew they were coming straight at him. It didn’t take long, but it sure did happen, she had questions and he laughed at the very first thing she said. He was a Dragon slayer, but he never killed a dragon. He shook his head, but didn’t say anything as he figured letting her finished would be for the best. There were so many questions being asked at the same time and when she was done it seemed like she noticed that she had asked a lot. He chuckled a bit as he could see that she was a bit embarrassed about this, but he honestly didn’t mind right now. There was a difference between someone from the guild and someone who wasn’t asking him this question. He figured she might have some type of interest with dragons, so not why help her out with some answers. ”First let’s start with the fact just because I didn’t kill a dragon doesn’t mean I’m not a dragon slayer. I have the magic to slay a dragon, which was taught by a dragon. I’m guessing they wanted to keep a part of them alive through the generations, so they teach their magic to certain people. On the other hand I’m also assuming they feel like one they we would need to use this magic to defend this world. When, well I don’t know,” he smiled at her as it seemed like Vlad was interesting to hear his answers again. Every time he spoke about his powers and everything he listen because sometimes he added more things that he had never said before. ”As for dragons, there are different ones, but not a lot or at least I think not a lot. I just know that there are different dragons, which teach different type of Dragon Slaying magic. Mines happens to be that of a light dragon,” he said thinking about the last part of her question. Well it was kind of simple and it was the best thing he enjoyed about being one. ”Remember when we were tailing that guy and I was able to tail him using my nose, well for me and another person I know, our nose is heighten and better than an ordinary nose. Still we are immune to our own element, and we can recover our energy due to taking our element and consuming it. I mean we can’t eat our own magic for some reason, but hey that’s not a problem,” he answered her. That was all the questions she asked and this was something he never thought he would tell somebody. Still, he never spoke about his dragon specifically and just gave her the details of what he figured she would have learned eventually if she ever met a dragon slayer, or seen one in battle. ”Don’t worry about the questions. I mean I can answer them to the best of my abilities, but if I leave something out, then it’s probably because I can’t say much about it,” he chuckled a bit and rubbed the back of his head. He wonder other questions she would ask him now, or if she was okay with those set of answers. |

Cleia listened with rapt attention, a slight frown on her face. What was the implication of dragons teaching human beings their magic and calling it Dragon Slayer magic? Did this also mean that dragons were normally impervious to most, if not all conventional attacks? If a dragon taught a human its magic, then there was a chance that this was a sort of fail-safe plan, done by the benign ones, to give humanity a last stand if dragons were to try to annihilate them. That would mean that it was possible that these dragons were nursing such an objective. And after seeing the Demon Invasion, Cleia felt certain that she was not keen on another invasion. Of course, her asking Yuurei all these questions indicated that she knew very little about these creatures, but she would always remember when she had asked Gusto how big he thought dragons were, if they ever existed. His answer was simple, but weighty: "massive". "Do you have any idea of the basic alignment of your average dragon? I mean, it would be good and all if they were favorable towards us humans, but I've learned from experience that apex predators are hardly ever nice to any creature that has even a slim chance of usurping them on the food- or power chain, if I could coin such a term. Something else I'd like to know about your type of magic: Is it restricted to elemental magic only? For instance, you mentioned "light". Thus, I'll assume there is a Dark Dragon Slayer magic. And perhaps, fire, wind, water and so on. Is there any deviation from your classical elements? Oh, one more thing, if you don't mind: can anybody learn Dragon Slayer magic?" Not everyone could learn every type of magic, she knew. Some people had a natural affinity for certain types of magic. Others were capable of learning what they learned from someone else. But the bottom line was that once a person mastered a magic, or could use it to some degree, it was almost impossible to re-learn a new type. |
