Yuurei was curious to what he would say and hopefully he was the stronger of the two. Things could change, but for now he was waiting to listen to what he had to say. It seemed like when they had fought against each other, Zeph had won that fight, which was good to hear, which meant he knew what he was doing. Still, this Jaxus guy had potential and it seemed like he was hard worker. That was good to hear, and hopefully it motivated Zeph. Still, he didn’t want to hear this, but it seemed like Jaxus had gotten stronger quickly closing the gap between them. If that were the case then it mean he was going to have to work him through hell. It was too late to make him think about being superior to him, so he decided to use him as goal. They were no longer in the city of Magnolia, but right at the start of the Eastern Forest. He had walked through the forest now as it seemed like it was best for the both of them that no human would bother them. ”So your friend trains hard. With that being said I believe he is stronger than you are now. If he was close to you before, then it means he easily passed you in terms of power and dedication. Now you should train harder if you want to catch up. You can’t have your rival beating you up the next time you two meet and duke it out between you two,” he said continuing to walk. Vlad chuckled because he knew the boss didn’t want to train this kid and have his ass handed to him after he had trained him. That would mean he wasn’t good enough, but honestly this was his first pupil. The Dragon Slayer didn’t take long to arrive to the location where they had fought a couple of days ago. It was the same as it always had been, which was good because nobody had disturb this place except for him and anybody he brought along. He stopped walking as he was sure that Zeph would do the same when he realized where they were at. He turned around to look at him. ”So we are here today for meditation. You need to learn how to meditate before we do anything. When I teach you the basics of it all, this is something I need you to do every day. You may ask me why, but it needs to become second nature to you. That way you don’t lose your way with the darkness inside of you,” he paused a bit as he sat down on the ground. Vlad got off his shoulder as he did the same thing now and crossed his legs like Yuurei had done. ”When you can clear yourself and keep yourself calm through the situation around you, then I will know that you can handle meditating on your own,” he smiled as he placed his hands on top of his legs and rest them upon them without a problem. ”I want you to sit down like I am and position yourself this way. When you do I want you to close your eyes and take deep breaths or inhale deeply and let it all out softly. While doing this I want you to forget everything that is around you and clear your mind of all the negative energy inside,” he said as he closed his eyes and demonstrated what he wanted from him. He looked calm and still as anybody could as he soothing his mind and soul. Still, it ended quickly as he opened his eyes and got up as he looked at Morti. He waited for him to do the same thing and Vlad didn’t like this position he wasn’t comfortable, but he said he was going to do for fruits, so why not. He closed his eyes as he was copying Yuurei. Still, he couldn’t calm himself down as he wanted fruits. |

Embodiment of Pandemonium/Aspect of Sacrifice

It was a bit amusing to Zeph. The way that Master Yuurei described how Zeph would need to mediate was close the the same way that Zeph had instructed Arianna when he was teaching her how to fight more proficiently. It was also so that she would be able to get in touch with her demonic instinct, as her magic would benefit from it. He had told her to imagine a flame, then instructed her to slowly feed every thought and emotion into the flame until there was nothing, but an empty void around that flame. The trick was maintaining this void, as any new thoughts and feelings when press against the edges of the void, attempting to fill the space that allowed one to fight with a clear head. Such a feat was second nature to Zeph, but the space allowed room from his instincts to take control. The difference here was that Master Yuurei wanted him to clear everything out of his head, where as his method was the simple compression and concentration of all thought. It was still there, but it was now used as a mental power source. Nodding, to show that he understood what he was being told to do, Zeph took his place on the ground, thought he did not cross his legs. Instead he folded them beneath himself, so that his shins and knees where resting on the ground. Placing hands atop his legs, his burnt orange eyes slowly closed. First, as instructed, he began focusing on controlling his breath. It took a moment, but after awhile he fell into a slow, rhythmic, pattern. Almost immediately, a flame formed in his mind. He was so use to doing it, it took him a moment to erase it from his mind and began slowly removing everything. First, he had to block out the world around him, which was harder for him than the average person. His hearing was sharp, so this put him at a slight disadvantage, but he was able to do it. Next, he began to clear his mind of all thought and emotion. He had no idea how long it took to clear his mind completely, but eventually it was done. He let himself simply float within the dark, nothingness, that now filled his consciousness. Without the flame, it felt unnatural to him, but he endured regardless. The level of calm that he now felt was amazing, but short live. Eventually, Zeph began to feel like he was being watched, which was odd as he was simply within his own mind. The presence slowly grew stronger over time, as if it was getting closer to him. As it got stronger, he could swear that he heard whispering. The closer it got, the more frantic the whispering. Trying to remain in control, he felt his heart starting to beat faster, his breath was breaking the pattern, it was slipping away from him. KILL! Zeph's eyes snapped open and the world came crashing back down on him. He gasped for breath, as if he had been holding it. A cold sweat covered his body. Placing his hands against the ground, Zeph leaned over as he attempted to regain his bearings. "I apolgize Master. I don't know what happened, it seems I failed this time," As he spoke, he wondered what time it was. While meditating, his internal clock had stopped ticking. For the first time every, he had no idea how much time had passed. |

Things had gotten quiet now, which was good and he was able to open his eyes and looked to see that Zeph was in the process of meditating. Still, his form was different, which he figured this was something that he had done before. He just smiled though as he wasn’t sure how this was going to go for him. He stood where he was as he was waiting to see what was going to happen. Vlad on the other hand looked like he was frustrated, but tried to keep his composure. He moved towards the monkey and figured he would try and help him out. ”Just keep fruits on your mind. When everything else is cleared from your mind except the fruits, then you are going to slowly stop thinking about fruits,” he wasn’t sure that was going to help his friend as the damn monkey loved fruits. Vlad didn’t say anything as it was quiet besides Yuurei speaking and he knew why he was talking to him. Still, he knew that this wasn’t fun, but the fruits he wanted to get this deal done with. The Dragon Slayer looked at Zeph again as he had tried to help Vlad. He made sure to keep his breathing pattern the same as it was before. He could see that Zeph was breathing slowly and it seemed like everything was going good at the moment. That was when he noticed that things were changing right now. He could see that the breathing pattern of Zeph had changed and it seemed like something was happening. Still, he knew not to interfere as he figured that he could overcome it. Well not on the first try because well, he didn’t know that was going to happen and now that he did it was going to take a while. He flinched a bit when he seen that Zeph’s eyes shot open right then and there and it seemed like he had something interfere with his meditation, or he seen something that scared him. Still, he just stood there looking at Zeph. He didn’t say anything right now as he kept his composure and waited for him to say something, or attack him. He was okay with either one as there was no harm being done. He heard him speak up and he waved at him as it was okay. ”It’s okay, but you experience something different than other people. I expected that much coming from you. Still, what did you experience while you were trying to meditate? It seemed like you are used to doing something like this, which is good, but something ruined you path to nirvana. Was it your demonic part?” he asked him as that was probably the only thing. Vlad heard them talking right now, but at the same he didn’t know what they were saying. He was thinking about fruits right now and only fruits. Yuurei just knew things would get better for Zeph, but first they needed to address the problem right now. |

Embodiment of Pandemonium/Aspect of Sacrifice

Zeph heard Yuurei quite clearly, but his mind was elsewhere. That sensation he had, it wasn't what he had felt before whenever he'd lose control. No, unlike that other times, where his mind simply faded out and was replaced, he felt that other part of him, reach out. It was like another mind all together was attempting to touch his own. That did not make sense. Instinct was what he was dealing with here, not another being. A mindless, primal force that sought to decimate life and that was all, that was apparent by the only word that reached him... Wait. A word, he had heard a word, as clear as day. It was simple, intentions clear, but that fact that a word was conveyed to him made everything more confusing to him. Regaining his bearings, Zeph finally sat upright once more. He took a few more breaths, just to make sure that he was in complete control before he proceeded. "Perhaps you can explain, because I do not understand what happened. I could... Feel, something reaching for me. It was like the sensation you have when you can feel someone standing behind you. It grew stronger as I tried to concentrate. What brought be out of mediation was something so simple. I heard a word. A single word that makes me wonder. It said: Kill," He did his best, and felt that he had properly explained what had happened to him. Being at such a crossroad unnerved him greatly. Lack of knowledge had never bothered him a whole lot, but this was something that was unknown and happening within him. It left a bad taste in his mouth, as if he had just eaten something that had recently gone bad. His burnt orange eyes were, for once, cleared of their haze, but filled with a questioning gaze instead. Was this simply a unique attribute related to his Incendian mind? Or was it, perhaps, that he had missed something before, that had cause some sort of misunderstanding between them. Thinking in circles like this was starting to make the poor man's head hurt. |

Yuurei stood where he was and he listen to Zeph speak up to him after he had gotten comfortable. It seemed like while he cleared his mind there was something still there lingering. He was thinking about what he said and it seemed like there was even a word that was said to him. That was interesting, but it was not something as mysterious as one could think of. There was his demonic side that was inside of him and when he had taken over last time it was what it said. Still, Yuurei rubbed the back of his head because he was either going to have to fight that sensation off or embrace it, but at the same time controlling it all at the same time. He sighed as he could only give him theories and not of it would be exactly correct or at least that was how he felt or thought. ”It must have been your demonic side. When you meditate you clear your mind and thoughts from the world, but it seems to also bring out your entire being into the surface of your mind. That saying, it means that every time you meditate the way I ask you to, then you will be confronted by this other side,” he paused for a bit as he closed his eyes and positioned himself back to a normal posture as he was going to continue on with his meditation. ”There are certain things you could do, or at least I hope you could do. One is you can either try and fight it and hopefully send it to the depths of your mind and soul, or you can embrace your demonic self and hopefully control it to the point where you still have control,” he paused because that last part was confusing. ”When I mean have control of it I mean like you won’t be the one doing movements and everything, but you could stop it when things get too far, or the situation is out of hand and you need to take back your body with the human side of you. It sounds weird when I say out loud, but remember when you lose control, but there was a moment when you came back before you lost consciousness. What if you lose control, you aren’t losing control, but allowing your killer instinct take over, but before the killing actually happens you can stop it by pushing that instinct behind you in a matter of seconds,” he said. He didn’t have to say anything else as he knew he would leave the rest up to him. He had closed his eyes as he was calming his breathing again to meditate. Vlad on the other hand was getting the hang of it. He was getting annoy on certain things, but at the same time he could understand why Yuurei enjoyed this. He didn’t remember how long he had been doing this for. Still, the fruits that were in his mind made happy and it was all that he could think about and he wasn’t sure how to truly get that out of his mind. ”Fruits get out of my head and come back later will you,” he thought to himself as one of the many fruits that were running along his mind disappeared and then two more did after. |

What Master Yuurei said had some sense about it. Suppressing the instinct was what he had originally been trying for, but the second option had some merit to it. He was correct in the fact that complete control would not work with his demon blood, as it was his nature to resist and fight back. However, instead of trying to control that destructive force, he could learn are to direct it. Point it at the enemy and then let it loose. All he had to do was learn how to willingly switch back and forth between his human, and demonic minds. The feat would call for a great amount of mental prowess, which Zeph seemed to lack currently. This did not discourage him though. "I understand, Master," His only response to everything that Yuurei had said. There was no reason for more words than that. As if reacting to his decision, his eyes, like once before, shifted. His pupils splitting, forming a black 'V' in both eyes. This did not use to happen, but it was evidence that his biology had been slowly changing, his body becoming slightly less human everyday, and more... Something else. He had not taken notice to it personally, but it was going to evident to everyone soon enough. Taking a deep breath, he, once again, closed his orange eyes and began to slowly empty out his mind. Before he completely emptied it, though, he did have a thought. Before, with his flame method of focus, he had never felt the demonic instinct, and now he had an idea as to why that might be. It was possible that the 'flame' he fed all thought and emotion into was that other side of his mind, that had remained, for the most part, dormant. Because of that, it was possible that was why he had never really felt it before the Inquisition, when his anger had flared up with such strength that his method of concentration did not work. With that in mind, he focused completely on mediation. He felt that this would be a long road. |

There was a lot of things they could have done right now. He could have taught him how to fight better, he could physically train him to get stronger, but what would that matter? If he had trained someone to become really powerful, yet he couldn’t control his other half, then what was the whole point. To see a strong and evil Zeph trying to destroy the world, would only fault on him and at the same time he would have to possibly take the life of his disciple, or fight without killing him, which would possibly end up with him dying in the process. He was being smart about this situation and he stood where he was. ”Good,” he simply said to Zeph as he continued on with what he was doing right now. The emptiness in his mind was great and it only led him through a shining light. This light engulfed him, but Yuurei simply allowed it. He was floating around his mind as it was vacuum of nothing. In his mind he was more relaxed than he could be and his senses only gotten stronger while doing this as well. There was no way you could attack the Dragon Slayer like this as he would be able to hear you coming. There was that and his nose would also catch on to anybody as well. Still, this peace and quiet was great, and overall it just made him happy that he was able to teach someone else this. It was interesting as the reason was different for this guy. He was trying to teach him mentally and if he continued to meditate, then he would be good. Once he got the hang of things mentally, then he would move on to the next step. Yuurei opened his eyes slowly as he didn’t need to meditate any more than he had already did. He merely observed Zeph now as the man was quiet as the forest around him right now. He needed to be trained physically, but he wondered if he could be able to take on his training. He wasn’t a push over and he didn’t enjoy babying his students. Still, he would have to and there was no backing out of anything he threw at him now. He looked at Vlad now as the monkey looked like he was trying a lot, but poor guy looked like he was more frustrated than anything in this world. He just looked at him as he was hoping that his body would lose the tension that it’s presenting right now. There was that and then there was also that he could tell by his face that he didn’t want to let go of his thoughts. He placed his hand on Vlad’s back, which made the monkey sighed as it seemed like he was messing up still. It wasn’t that easy, but he knew that as well. It wasn’t like he was able to get use to meditating like it was nothing. Still, Zeph had some similar training with it, so he understood why he was able to calm his mind and everything. His battle was with something different to be able to meditate and relax and calm his mind. Being able to do this second nature would honestly make sure that his demonic form wouldn’t sprout out whenever Zeph was filled with anger. ”I’m kind of tempted to get him stronger, so I can face his demonic side again. A strong foe would be great, but I think it would be too much trouble for the whole entire world,” he thought to himself as he looked over to Zeph and wonder if anything was going to happen. |

Embodiment of Pandemonium/Aspect of Sacrifice

Darkness engulfed his mind as his mind cleared. Again, he felt nothing, serenity was all there was. It seemed like everything was going well again, before he felt the hair on the nap of his neck stand straight up as the presence returned once more. This time it did not grow stronger, instead it just lurked. He was certain that if he tried to face the presence, it would not be there. It was almost like it was just outside his field of vision, right in the corner of his eyes, but not quite there. It was unnerving to feel, however, he chose to ignore it. Instead, he just let himself mediate, letting the presences remain, but not reacting to it. For a time, it seemed to work. The presence continued to lurk, but did not try to reach out for him this time. It was almost like it was waiting for something. Zeph was finding it difficult to ignore it, but what else could he do about? Ignore it was the obvious choice... He could always attempt to interact with it, but how would one interact with something that had no physical form... Why was he having an issue with this, he was inside of his own head. I'm an idiot. "The world was burning when I left. We lost the war almost immediately, but no one had noticed. The moment I went against Mard Geer, it became obvious. He wasn't powerful, not for me. The moment he stepped before me I know that I would be more than enough to kill him, but it was the war itself. I watched demon killing demon, every single one of them enjoying it. It was at that moment that I knew that Incendia was doomed, not matter what was done. I never imagined I would be brought here, given a second chance to do good." "... Kill... Kill... All things must burn, scorch the sky! Destroy! KILL!" It seemed communicating with the presence was pointless. It only wanted destruction, and there was nothing else that it could comprehend. Reason would do nothing here, which was a shame, for Zeph would have liked to not have to use violence for once. |

After a while of looking at the two of them sitting there with their eyes close, he figured he would do something other than just sit down. The Dragon slayer had gotten up from where he was at as he made sure not to make any noise while the two were trying to meditate. He used his nose as he could catch the scent of a few things around them. There was nothing around them that they could eat, so that was out of the question. He figured he could go to the hidden location where all the fruits were and get some for Vlad as a reward, but he wasn’t sure if that was the best thing to do. He walked around the two though as he was wondering what was going on right now. They were both quiet right now and he hoped that things were going well. While he was walking he could only think that Zeph was trying to get through in his time of meditating. He wasn’t sure if he had gotten through the problem he was having right now; still he had hoped that he would be able to overcome it, or at least suppress the obstacle he was facing. There was nothing he could honestly do to help him, but guide him if or when he failed. He knew that he had tried once, but how would he be able to help, if things didn’t go well right now. Vlad on the other hand, he could only hope that he was able to stop thinking about all the fruits that he was thinking about. While he continued to walk around them though, they didn’t say or do anything. It was the type of reaction he was looking for, so he figured getting the monkey fruits and possibly Zeph as well wouldn’t be bad. He knew he was faster than he used to be, so why not go and get something, which probably take a minute or two to pick and return. ”I’ll be right back you guys,” he thought to himself as he had disappeared from where he was. He didn’t make any sound, so they wouldn’t be disturb. Yuurei rushed through the forest as he was avoided the branches that were low and anything else that could easily get in his way. He had rushed over to the hidden fruit location in the fastest way he had known how. This place was something he had found out about when he had first join the guild. The fruits were right to be taken out and he smiled as he was quick to pick them out without a problem. He had taken as much as he could carry and wouldn’t drop when he was running before he was satisfy. ”All done here; now time to head back,” he said with a smile on his face as he started running back to the location where the two were meditating at. It didn’t take long for him to get close to the training camp and he wondered what was going on there. As for Vlad he had finally gone through the last barrier in his mind. The last of his fruits were out of his mind as he was able to clear out his mind. He heard foot stops rushing quickly, but ignored it because he wasn’t going to let that stop him from doing what he had been trying to do for a long time now. It was that and there were fruits that were his goal at the end of it all. |

Embodiment of Pandemonium/Aspect of Sacrifice
|
The world around him... Nothingness. It was almost like that moment, when the Gate had opened around him, dragging him from his world. Nothingness surrounded him as the magic from Earthland ravaged his physical form, ripping him apart. It was here, that he truly belonged. There was no place for him on Earthland, and he did not belong to Incendia any longer. He had fallen outside of reality itself and yet, he was walking amongst the living again. His gaze drifted through the black, to the only other thing that was there. It didn't really have a shape, other than a vague humanoid outline. There were no feature, no face, no eyes. It just was... There. Despite its lack of facial structure, Zeph knew that it was watching him, waiting for him. He cold feel its hungry, the rage that drove it, and the need to be free from the place they now resided in. Zeph was aware that he could easily let it go, but his fear told him not to. This thing was not to be pitied, it was destruction in its most primal form. There was no reason, no method its madness. There was only the need to destroy, and the chaos it would seed. Slowly, Zeph opened his eyes, staring at the earth he sat upon. He knew that there was only one way to do this, now. Without even checking to make sure Yuurei was back, the red-headed man turned his gaze skyward. They seemed to tremble within their sockets as he watched the clouds mover. He could feel that thing scratching at the walls, wanting out. Turning his face back to the earth, his red hair covered his eyes. Breaths shallow, he pushed himself up to his feet and began to move. His footfalls were as close to silent as one could get as he moved closer to were Vlad sat. Standing over him, Zeph's finger's twitched with anticipation. Slowly, his hand began to move, reaching out towards Vlad, fingers outstretched. There was a slight hesitation behind this movement, as if he wasn't sure about what he was doing. This would not be surprising, if one could hear the screams inside of Zeph's head, or saw his eyes. His eyes... Black pentagrams had etched themselves against the brunt orange irises. That thing had been let out of its cage. |
