Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

What's The Point

Cynthia's stomach grumbled to itself, as it usually did around this time of day. Well, pretty much every time of day. Rarely enough food went in her system to begin with, and her adventures through the Dreanscape often distracted her mind from ever finding anything to eat without forgetting about it halfway through. So, the pale girl busied herself by roaming about, as she typically did, traversing the occasional alleyway into another street, her path winding and constantly changing.

What was the child thinking about, one might wonder? The answer was many times more complex than the question; Cynthia's mind never dwelled on a single particular topic for more than a matter of seconds, her consciousness forever swirling about like a hurricane of emotions, feelings, and thoughts, throwing out and pulling in ideas at random.

The crimson-eyed child was certainly out of place on Magnolia's streets; a single absence of color in the vividly colored city, her corpse-like pallor, ghostly white hair, and dirty gown contrasted sharply with the blues, the golds, the reds of the streets and the city's inhabitants. This didn't seem to be an issue, as Cynthia continued her day with detached interest, wandering aimlessly throughout the streets like a piece of paper gliding upon a gentle breeze.

This didn't happen without drawing attention, however, from disquieted residents who were concerned for the little girl's well-being (or perhaps their own, given her unsettling visage); the child received a number of odd stares from people around her, some pitying, some mildly afraid, others yet quite concerned for her safety; the streets were no place for a lone child. This did not appear to faze Cynthia, who just went on her merry way.

Ecclair may have been given a photograph of a child that she was supposed to find and yet it did little good considering the size of the town itself she was supposed to find her in. It would have been stupid for her to focus solely on finding the girl, not to mention almost impossible to do with it alone, and she knew it. The number of 'available officers' was too low to give her any back-up in the matter according to the officer in charge. So, instead, the knight had to keep an eye out as she made for the location of who had made the last report. Perhaps they had information that would help with finding her location; information that they hadn't put in their report.

There was no doubt that there was something out of the ordinary going on and even the knight had ascertained as such from all of the accounts that she'd read. Unlike everyone that had reported the inter-related incidents however, Ecclair was not quite so convinced that it was the fault of something paranormal. In her experience it was more likely that something magic related was to blame for it all. She sure as heck didn't think it was the result of a supernatural. not entirely anyway.

As Ecclair stepped inside the business of the last person to report an incident the ring of a small bell signified her arrival. It was a rather quaint looking bakery considering the street it was on and yet it held a charm that clearly lured customers into returning to it time and time again. Or at least they would have if there hadn't been a scare involving a so called 'ghost' not two days prior. From what she could see there was no damage done to the building itself on either the interior or exterior and she couldn't help wonder just what the 'ghost' had done to scare people away if it hadn't been violent or caused anyone any harm.

Had it simply been scary? Perhaps the people of Magnolia were easier to frighten than she'd have thought.

Aa middle aged woman emerged from the kitchen doors behind the counter, the doors bell having 'summoned her'. "Oh! You must be the officer here to investigate!" She beamed. It wasn't surpriing that the woman knew her reason for being there, not considering she was donning her armour as she did on any assignment - dangerous or not.

Before Ecclair had even a moment to speak she was cut off by the woman who spoke again as she pointed outside to the street through the front window of the store. "There! That's here! That's the one that did it!" Her tone was serious and her expression equally so as she focused on a young girl that walked along the footpath on the opposite side of the street. It was her alright, she looked just like the photograph from the report.

Another member of the public started shouting at the girl suddenly from the street and pretty quickly there was several of them surrounding her. It looked to be one of those situations in which the public had decided they wanted to do something about things themselves instead of letting the authorities handle it. Or perhaps they were just a bunch of superstitious idiots, it was hard to tell. As they shouted claims at her, Ecclair closed the gap to aid her. "Move." Her voice was commanding and cold as she spoke but one word. The crowd parted immediately to view its source. Ecclair walked closer to the girl and gave them all once final word of advice. "Leave."

Cynthia's bored demeanor did not change, even as someone, a man, approached her and began to yell at her. Something something bad for the community. In other words, they wanted her out of here. Well, that wasn't happening any time soon - not because the child intended on resisting the implied command, but because she didn't care enough to listen. Even as more and more people gathered around, echoing the man's words, the little girl just watched with a tired expression on her face, even yawning once or twice throughout the tirades directed at her.

"Meh...Bugsy, I'm bored." This was spoken to the ratty old stuffed animal in Cynthia's arms; she did this to an almost unhealthy degree, chatting with Bugsy - and her other imaginary friends - moreso than she did with other humans. "Huuuh? No, I'm not." The child responded to Bugsy's nonexistent reply with a confused look on her face. "I can be not-bored sometimes, you know!" She had now taken on a somewhat scolding tone with the toy. As novel as the exchange was, it was summarily interrupted by the voice of a woman, followed by a set of footsteps in her direction.

The child looked up to see a pink-haired woman in armor step up into the circle with her, head up and staring down the townspeople around her. The command to leave was obeyed immediately, the crowd dispersing quickly with quiet murmurs and whispers. Cynthia, on the other hand, did not appear to be even the slightest bit frightened by the woman, instead looking up with a mixture of confusion, perhaps a bit of admiration, and what seemed to be relief. "Ooh, cool!" Almost immediately, Cynthia crawled on over and gently poked the knight in the side of the rib with the intention of getting a reaction from her.

For the girl to ignore the crowd as it threw taunts at her was one thing, but for her to react to the knight before her with the amount of 'interest' she did was another thing. Sure, the young girl wasn't supposed to be afraid or intimidated like the civilians were, but Ecclair sure as hell hadn't been expecting the poke to her side she received.

The poke would have barely registered on Ecclair's radar even without her armour, but with it, she barely felt a thing. In fact, the knight had no idea why the young girl wouldn't want to touch the plume of feathers at her hip instead but she sure as heck wasn't going to ask about it. Actually, what the heck was she supposed to say? You couldn't exactly expect a child to just go with a stranger, even if they wearing armour.

Should she introduce herself? That had to be the best way to start things off... or so she hoped. "I'm Sergeant Bellum of the knights of Fiore." There was no time to waste worrying about speaking more child-friendly way, not that she could have; it just wasn't her. "I need you to come with me." Ecclair noticed the stuffed rabbit she held and a thought came to mind.

Her younger sister had been attached to a stuffed animal plushie in her younger years and with the memory of how it all, she couldn't help but wonder if perhaps there was a chance to win some points with the youth. "Your friend as well." Her gaze flickered back to the girl. "I'll need you both to come with me." Not that she knew where to.

Thinking quick on her feet, the knight came up with a solution. "We can go to a cafe if you want, are you hungry?" Thankfully there was a small and yet more than charming cafe at the end of the street and it would only be a short walk to reach it. As for the fact that she'd be buying things out of her own pocket? Well that didn't bother her in the slightest. It wasn't like she didn't have enough money.
