Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

It was another fine early evening within the beautiful city of Poinsettia-- the city of nature where its foundation of both buildings and city meshed with the natural beauty of trees and nature. THe entire city was built into the trees that had grown rather mighty around it. It was a place where nature and mankind lived in coexistence. It was no wonder that Syeena's clan, the Umbra Witches chose to settle here. Despite rumors of being dark mages, to some extent it being true, they were witches in many ways, including their respect for nature.

For now, one of those witches, Syeena Fateweaver, had begun to make her way to her usual hangout. She had been staying in the city for a while away from the Grimore Heart main base of operations. She wanted to spend some time with her family and had done so. After spending much time helping them and their witchly duties, Syeena decided she was going to spend a nice evening relaxing at her favorite spot. The Black Cat Lounge.

It was owned and run by Syeena's childhood friend Agil, who was also a blackmarket dealer, magical arms craftsman and informant. Before that, they were just childhood friends. The fact he was also half demon didn't bother her either. He was as loyal as any friend was and she treasured their 'relationship'.

Naturally, Syeena traveled with her black cat companion-- rather a black Exceed cat companion at that. Hex the Cat, a black cat with violet color to her fur and ears, along with a pair of claw gloves she wore and a witch's hat on her little head. She was a cute little devil, and just as sassy when she wanted to be.

Anyway, to find the Black Cat Lounge was always a bit tricky-- as it never appeared in the same place twice. As it was a den for dark mages, it often was sought out by the law. However, Agil made it so it would teleport around, its location of an entrance randomly shifting, unless you were a dark mage or open minded enough to find it. Right now, Syeena began traveling through the wooded alleyways of the forest-city to find it and make her way to place.

Little did she know who she might run into.

What's The Point

Ah, Poinsetta. What a delightful city this was. One could comfortably say that those who would revel in climbing the tallest tree in their backyard as a child would feel right at home in this place (the convenient absence of parents to chastise them for such an undertaking seemed to make it all the more welcoming). Its winding forest paths and treehouses welcomed animal, mage, and common folk alike, striking wonder into many a curious child.

Speaking of curious children, one curious child in particular appeared to be having a wonderful evening aimlessly wandering the twisted, overgrown alleyways of the city, gawking at her surroundings and in turn being gawked at by curious passerby. Cynthia paid the numerous pairs of eyes pointed in her direction no mind, instead electing to wander into a nearby alleyway that seemed to be devoid of passerby, blood red eyes darting about at all of the wondrous things surrounding her.

The girl's completely white ensemble, pale skin, and crazed look struck a sharp contrast to the gentle greens, greys, and browns around her, causing her to stick out like a sore thumb. She didn't seem to care for the fact, her childish mind instead relegating itself to trying to figure out how many ways the place could burn down spectacularly. Of course, did this not necessarily mean the girl had evil intentions; children tend to think of rather strange things at rather strange times, you know.

Oh? What's this? A stranger? Stranger danger? Cynthia faintly recalled hearing such a phrase before; the memory exited her recollection as soon as it appeared, and the little girl stopped, watching the stranger approach, Bugsy clutched against her chest by habit.

Syeena did her best to not dawdle in a single spot. She knew the direction to go and where to find what she was looking for. She didn't see the little girl, as ghostly as she appeared to be and stick out. She was way too focused to get to the Black Cat Lounge. Luckily for her, she didn't have to search too long.

After she turned the final corner of the ally, it opened up to the street-- and there it was. Nestled between two tree-buildings as the Black Cat Lounge. It was a plain looking rectangle building, one floor establishment, with the top part with flashing neon light sign. Naturally, it said "The Black Cat Lounge" in scrypt, ending with a jazzy looking black cat at the end with the curve of the letter being the cat's tail.

Accompanying her on her shoulder, Hex the cat peeked over it and rested on her, her paws draped over her and rested on her belly. "You think Agil got your new item yet? " Hex asked, curious as they observed the buidling.

"Well, if nothing else it is our usual hang out. Alot better than Grimore Heart. That place lacks style." she commented as they made their way for the building.

As they approached the lounge, they saw the usual bouncer-- who was in fact a full demon. His demeanor was more or less human, save for him being rather tall. He had a deep shade of blue skin, a spikey ridge on his forehead and horns. HIs large hands had claws and his feet were hooves. However, he wore a black tuxido suit and glasses, in a classy yet silly way to obscure him. As they approached, he smiled at her. "Misstress Syeena. Always a pleasure to see you again," he said and bowed his head.

Syeena smirked. "Don't look so surprised. I am probably your most frequent customer," she replied in mild jest to the demon.

He chuckled and was about to open the door for her, till he saw someone behind in the ally way. "Um excuse me, but I think you might of been followed, " he informed Syeena and pointed calmly to the ally, where the creepy little girl would be!

Syeena turned around, to see who it was, wondering what was going on. She had not been aware she had been followed.

Huh. She didn't seem to notice Cynthia, strangely enough. As normally unobservant as she was, the child couldn't help but feel there was something off about this woman. She seemed young (in adult terms, given); to the white-haired girl, it was almost as if the woman was a mixture of a teenager and an adult. The stranger's clothing was odd indeed - it certainly gave off the impression of a witch, or something similar. Perhaps she was a mage? Perhaps...but Cynthia held onto the idea of a witch. It was more fun to imagine, after all!

Before the pale girl could get lost in her musings (yet again), she realized that the woman had...simply walked past her! Of course, little Cynthia's first thought upon this realization was: How rude! But then, she gave it a bit more thought (something she very rarely cared to do), remembering the distracted face the woman held during Cynthia's brief observation and the slight urgency in her step as she briskly passed the younger female.

Naturally, Cynthia's first attempt at explaining this behavior to herself was: Maybe she just reeeeeeally needs to use the bathroom. The girl turned her head to stare at the lady's back as she walked away rather nonchalantly. This nonchalance quickly faded as her crimson eyes picked up one fleeting, crucial detail: Was that a tail hanging from her shoulder?

Sure enough, Cynthia found herself stumbling after this odd woman, perplexed by the appendage hanging from her shoulder. Already, her mind was thinking up some rather silly explanations for the thing before her eyes came back to reality and realized the black-haired female was no longer in front of her. Huh? Where'd she go?

After a few moments of confusion, the pale girl suddenly became aware of a pair of voices to her left; she twisted her head to view the owners of these voices and found herself staring directly back at the very woman she had been following, and a rather intimidating man in a doorway, and the man...was currently pointing a large finger...directly...at her.

The child was unsure how to react at first, simply clutching her stuffed animal to her chest, admittedly looking rather lost and confused, staring directly back at the lady in black.

it was indeed a small child. However, Syeena could tell just by looking at her she was a bit disturbed in the sense of it. Syeena knew about people like that, but her guild had welcomed people like that regardless. So long as she wasn't gunning to hurt anyone, that was fine, at the very least her and Hex. Hex, curious on her shoulder, looked to the girl and her ears perked up in caution. "Please tell me that isn't one of those creepy little girl ghosts that suck you into the TV set?" Hex said with both a bit of fright and scarcasm.

Sometimes her pet Exceed Cat could say the strangest things. After a glance to the bouncer, she approached slowly towards the young girl. She still kept cautious as she was indeed a strange one. Luckily for Syeena, she had dealt with much worse... or so she thought at least.

Reaching back to the ally, Syeena approached the little girl curiously. She tried to focus more on the stuffed toy she had more than just her appearance. Still she made every effort to not be too nervous around her. "Hello there, " Syeena said, Hex still perched on her shoulder and looking at the girl cautiously. "Something I can help you with little one?" she asked, using 'little one' as the tone of a younger child. Ironically, she had been called that all too often by her witch seniors -- her aunts to be exact but in a more loving intent.

Oh. The tail had simply belonged to a black cat perched upon the woman's shoulder. The child seemed just a tad disappointed at the revelation; having a tail on one's shoulder had been a much more entertaining idea to juggle around in her head. But alas, the most fascinating questions always had the most boring answers. Such was life.

Of course, being but a child, Cynthia did not like to accept the aforementioned fact, and looked thoroughly disappointed that the woman was not some sort of mutated cat-human hybrid. "Aww." She couldn't help but pout a bit out of habit. Oh, wait, manners exist. The pale girl very rarely remembered this fact, but now seemed one of those times.

"Oh, um. Hi, lady!" Cynthia greeted (perhaps the most remarkably normal greeting she had ever given to someone older to her), smiling rather cutely (as opposed to creepily, you know) and waving Bugsy's arm at the stranger and her cat. "...Bugsy says hi." She added a moment later, hugging the stuffed animal. She did not seem to offer any explanation for why she was following the woman's, nor who Bugsy was. The way she acted, there didn't see to be any required other than the fact that she was just a creepy little girl in an alleyway. Who needs reasons, anyway?

Hex the cat looked at the girl, and her stuffed bunney rabbit. The cat was tempted to pounce on it as a cat toy but knew better-- as likely the girl would get mad and do something that only a thriller movie could provide. "Hello Mr. Bugsy. I am Princess Hex of Witchy land. Care to join me over the rainbow and to my moon palace?" she said as if to entertain the child.

Syeena gave the cat a rather puzzled and annoyed look. She took Hex by the back of her fur and put her down on the ground, taking her off her shoulder. NOw freed by the cat, Syeena moved. It was clear she was not an average little girl. She tried hard to ignore the creepy vibe from her. It might be she was lost or troubled far beyond any girl should be. It was sad the things some people did to children.

She leaned down with her hands on her knees. "Just what are you doing here , little one? You know this is no place for a little girl, do you?" the Umbra Witch said, trying to console the young girl. "Are you looking for something? Come now, you can be honest with me." she said as kind as possible.

Though it was very possible she was not as innocent as she appeared to be, Syeena couldn't treat her any differently. If she knew more about her, perhaps she knew what she could do. After all, she was following her in the end.

Meanwhile the bouncer looked puzzled as the two talked. He scratches hid head near his horns as he awaited to see what would transpire between the three of them.

Hey, it turned out the cat was indeed real and not some sort of illusion meant to trick the child into believing there was one. Not that this was remotely surprising in any way, but Cynthia was an odd little girl who thought of odd little things at odd little times. Speaking of which, this was a rather odd little cat. It had an odd little (and rather adorable, Cynthia thought) hat, called itself an odd little name, and WAIT DID THAT CAT JUST TALK.

The white-haired girl emitted what could only be described as the sound of an extremely, extremely happy child upon hearing this. Not only was the cat really cute, but it could talk, for Heaven's sake (Heaven would likely not return the favor, let's be honest here), and not only could it talk, but it could talk to Bugsy! "Why, it's a fine pleasure to meet you, Princess Hex!" Cynthia greeted the cat, smiling and holding Bugsy up with her two hands. "This is Sir Bugsy, Esquire. He would love to join you on your journey! Right, Bugsy?" The child looked down and moved Bugsy's tattered head up and down, a loose button eye flopping about as she did.

But, oh? Where'd the cat go? Hex was gone from Cynthia's vision as she looked up. In her place was the lady whose shoulder the feline had been perched on (the pale girl had quite forgotten that the woman existed, admittedly), walking up to Cynthia, leaning forward, and speaking, seemingly to her. Something about not being a place for a little girl. Now, said little girl had only the slightest clue what such language could mean (children tend to have trouble interpreting figurative language, you see), but guessed it had something to do with her having been alone in an alleyway.

"Oh, you don't need to worry, Miss! Bugsy can protect me. He's a strong bun-bun. He lets me sit on his shoulders and stuffs."

She seemed really excited about Hex as she was put down and now the two could talk at close to normal height. Syeena was glad that she was rather more personable than she appeared to be. Despite hex's clear sarcastic reply towards the bunny, trying to make it seem like she was being such-- the girl took her word at face value. Syeena and Hex exchanged a glance. The witch could only hope that her little cat friend wouldn't try to mess with the girl and make her serve her.

Another black cat belonging to another wizard had a similar avenue and both of them disliked that.

Deciding to humor the girl, Hex would play the role of the playful black cat as much as she wanted. The simple glimpse between them was enough to communicate that. Still, the concern was, despite this girl's words-- she was alone and it was not safe for her. Sure, the place Syeena was used to go was dangerous in nature, but for someone her age-- she just couldn't let it go. Her protective insticts screamed at her to not dismiss her.

"I see... be that as it may, you two shouldn't be out on your own. Do you have family nearby or anything? I can walk you home..." However, Syeena got the feeling the answer wouldn't be like that. No other reason a girl would wander in this neck of the city was cause she had no home to go to. She might very well have to bring her with her. "Would you like to come inside to the house over there? We can get you something nice to eat?" she offered, welcoming her to the Black Cat Lounge.

Huh. Cynthia recalled once hearing that she should never go into a stranger's home by herself. However, at the mention of food, all chances of her considering this flew out the metaphorical window. "Ooh...food? I'm suuuuuuper hungry! I could eat a...a Jacques! A whole Jacques!" The pale little girl gave no hints as to whom or what this Jacques might be.

"But I won't eat a Jacques, 'cause Jacques is my friend, y'know." She added a moment later, waving a finger in the air before looking down at the ragged old stuffed animal in her hands. "Right, Bugsy?" There was a pause. "Huuuh? I did not! You shut your stinky mouth, Bugsy!" The girl fumed in apparent shock; one might discern that Bugsy may have said something rather uncouth.

"...That's what I thought. I made you, so don't sell me out in front of nice ladies and cute little cats. Huh? What about Jacques?" After a short pause, Cynthia gasped. "Bugsy, that's just mean! I'm gonna tell Jacques you said that about him!"

There was another short pause, the little girl seeming quite agitated at the apparent antics of this stuffed toy. "Eh? No, I'm not! What's a Hippo-Crit, anyways?" At this point, Cynthia turned back to the woman in front of her. "Lady, d'you know what a Hippo-Crit is? Bugsy won't tell me."
