Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

It was an odd sensation to ignore the instincts that were screaming at you. Working with the moss was a most curious experience. Every ounce of Rays being demanded that he stop interacting the vegetation and run. Every cell in his body demanded he cease molesting it and simply flee the cave. But, he ignored those cries. It was a curious plant, that was for sure. He began to wonder what it would taste like if cooked properly. Was it poisonous? He wasn't sure. Regardless, he didn't mind getting his hands dirty. Unlike Tveda, with the use of her tool, he used his own hands to scrap the plant from the walls.

It felt good, being able to help two things at once. Once the spiders could move on, then the they wouldn't be bothering the villagers, and that meant the two could get their free dinner. Ray chuckled, scooping up a handful of the moss and following behind after Tveda as she made her way to the entrance. He had no issues carrying the moss, well no issues he voiced. Sure, being in direct contact with the plant was giving him the willy nillys, he was toughing it out to get the job done. "You know...I wonder what this stuff even is. Never heard of moss that gives you the heeby jeebys just by standin near it my self. You ever heard of this stuff?" He asked.

As he walked though he suddenly remembered something, a question he had tried to ask down below but had not finished. "Oh! I didn't get to finish my question earlier? Once this job is done, what do ya say to being m-" And once again it was interrupted. He paused when his friend paused, noticing the two figures standing at the mouth of the cave. The voices, the height, Raygin realized near immediately that they were children. Noticing the weapons in their hands, Rays amber eyes narrowed slightly as he stepped infront of Tveda suddenly, as if making himself into a wall between her and the sharp objects.

"Now see just hold on. You're talkin about killin us, why? Monsters? You mean the spiders don't ya?" He turned to Tveda "I think they mean the spiders" He turned back to the kids "They aint monsters. They're just animals, no different really than any cat or dog you got in your town. They're just a little bit bigger than normal. They're a underground dwellin spider family anyways, they don't mean to come to the sur-oh right you guys are kids." Raygin commented, chuckling to Tveda before looking back at the kids.

Well, he definitely wasn't back to one hundred percent and there was also the fact his magic was still garbage...but they were kids. "See here then. I promised to help both your families and them spiders. Helping the spiders will help the town, but if you don't wanna believe us that's fine. But...you should know who you're pointing that knife at kiddies. You're pointing it at a mage!" He announced, before letting out a slowly growing shout. No doubt his statement, followed by the "power up roar" would surprise and frighten the two, but what came next would deal the final blow.

Raygins skin suddenly began to turn green in various patches across his upper body. No, turning green was inaccurate. Upon closer inspection it was actually something covering his skin, not it changing color. The fungus inside of his body being called forth through his will, his unique brand of magic: Mold Magic, Mystery Mold. Finishing his cry, with his upper body now covering in a light greenish yellow fungus, he returned his attention to the kids. "Now then! Have a taste of this! Moldy....Moss Net!" What. He simply tossed the repelling moss at the kids, aiming to use the effects of the moss plus his spooky scary magic abilities to frighten the kids off.

Tveda was rather surprised when Ray's first move was to place himself between her and the clearly distraught children. Did he think she needed protecting? a bit of indignity wormed it's way into her consciousness that he would even think she needed protecting, when he was the one going right up to spiders and starting conversations. She would argue she was probably stronger than HE was! Well, in terms of magic. As she watched, he actually began to give off his own magic, and in a round-about way, she kinda enjoyed being protected. Or at least having someone try to protect her.

naturally she'd had her own ideas of using magic to intimidate the children, only well, HERS was using real magic, and the kind of magic that would likely scar the poor kids for life, but it would definitely get them out of their way to be certain. But Raygin's little act, showing much bluster and a little of his own magic ability in order to give things some showmanship before flinging the moss at them as though casting a spell, well to be certain is was definitely a kinder type of magic. Even despite their intentions, they were just...well...children after all. Brave and misguided, but children all the same.

She would watch as those kids would tremble at the sight of Raygin's unusual magic befor turning tail and running, squealing as they tried to shake the moss off of their bodies, weapons clattering to the ground and leaving both Raygin and Tveda in their wake, the cloudy-eyed woman actually in awe that he had thought so quickly. She couldn't help a soft smile playing across her face, a sigh escaping her as she slowly shook her head.

"You sure have a way with kids. It shouldn't be long for them to notice the moss is gone. We should probably move so we don't get run over." She murmured as she looked back into the cave behind them, rubbing at her neck for a moment. It seemed like their job here was over. They had found a solution and even the spiders had been left largely unharmed for the time being. And what with raygin's quick thinking, it seemed they were well on their way to their free meal. Patting Ray on the back, she led the way back to the elder's house for their reward. Though on the way she did pause to speak.

"Oh that's right. Didn't you have something you wanted to tell me?"

First it was snickers, then chuckles, then Raygin unleashed a belly pounding laughter as the kids rounded back behind a building as they fled in terror. He laughed for a few moments, wiping his eyes free of some built up tears as he regained control over himself. "Hah...hehehehaha...kids are dumb aren't they." He commented, standing up and cracking his neck a bit before letting out a long sigh. The fungus covering his skin began to vanish, sinking back below the surface of his skin and returning his normal tanned skin color. He turned to Tveda with a sheepish smile. "Sorry, I seemed to have forgotten to tell you I was a mage earlier. My magic ain't much special, heic I aint even completely sure how to use it. It's a weird one alright." He commented, stretching a bit as he was glad the moss was off his body.

"Yeah, just one sec." He replied back to Tveda suggesting they leave. He stepped to the mouth of the cave and inhaled rather deeply. "It's alright now! We cleared out the moss on the walls! You can get out now, ma'am! There's some woods beyond the towns border that'll be perfect for ya! If at all possible, try leaving at night so you don't make some old geezer croak from freight, alright! It was nice meeting you!" He took a breath once his shouting was finished, turning back and smiling to Tveda when she pat him on the back.

With a smile he followed, arms resting behind his head as he began to dream about the sort of dinner they would be rewarded. Who knew, maybe even they would be offered a warm bed for the night. And a bath! Oh man, Raygin hadn't had a real bath in a long time. With warm water and soap and what not. It would be nice to get clean. He was sure he had a couple layers of dirt on him. Thankfully his dad had given him deodorant, otherwise it would have been impossible to be around the man. "Oooooh man I can't wait to see what they're gonna cook up for us!" He commented out loud, though he did stop when he noticed the pale skinned woman stop and turn to him.

Oh thats right! He had almost forgotten. Not only did a big grin paint itself on his face, but those amber eyes of his lit up. Now was the perfect time to ask, as there didn't seem to be anything at all that would interrupt him this time. He hadn't known her for long, but from what he could tell so far was that Tveda was not only smart, but she was also very smart. Being cute definitely helped, but that wasn't the big thing Ray was interested in. It was more her personality that just seemed to clique with his. So he asked a question that would without a doubt cause an incredibly unpredictable response from Tveda.

"Well Tveda, I've made up my mind. I'd love it if you were to be my wife! So, what say you and I get married?"

And there it was. He said all of that with a straight face, a straight big smile on his face. His words were true, no form of joking in it at all. He was completely serious. Raygin was....lacking in understanding how relationships actually worked. He was going off what his father had said, literally. Ray could still recall the conversations with perfect detail.

"Son, do you remember what it is that I told you about women?" He asked, standing at the edge of the cliff looking down at the valley below. A much younger Ray sat behind him, pulling on a piece of lizard meat with his teeth. "To always treat them respect, as girls are much fancier than boys." A laugh came from his father. "I said fairer, not fancier. But that words works. Remember son, man exists not only to live for himself, but to live for that special woman in their lives." Ray blinked as he chewed. "Special woman?" His father turned around, approaching Ray before getting down on one knee. "Yes. That special woman that just makes something click in you. When you find her, you get to know her, and if you like her enough and you think she likes you enough, you marry her. You know what marriage is...right?" Ray simply nodded in response before resuming to chew on his lizard.

Tveda tilted her head for a moment and furrowed her brows slightly at the question he posed. She stared, not quite sure what to say for a few moment, her brows furrowing for a few seconds. Marry? She was fairly sure he didn't quite know what he was asking her, given his manner of asking and the casual situation, not to mention the fact that he had known her for maybe an hour or two.

"Um, I know you think you know what you are asking me, but Marriage isn't something you just ask about." She chuckled, playing it off casually, knowing that he was just.....well, not stupid. He seemed just....uneducated. "Marriage is something that's very important. People just don't ask the first person they meet. They spend months, even years dating and getting to know somebody before they ask something like that." She noted with a smile, patting him on the shoulder.

She paused, hoping she didn't hurt his feelings or anything, and there was also the matter of their payment. She had hardly expected to have such an...interesting adventure when it came to doing this job. Then again she'd been under the impression that she was going to be taking care of mud skippers, fish, instead of giant fucking spiders. But all in al she supposed, even if she did meet a rather......odd guy, that it had at least been exciting. "now that I think about it. You said you were a mage right? Does that mean you're part of a guild?" She asked, looking to him expectantly.

Raygin blinked. There were was no other way to describe his face other just pure...confusion. He listened to what Tveda explained for him, drinking in her words with a slowly changing face. His expressionless face turned into one of embarassment, as his cheeks grew red and he began to chuckle. "Oh...I...I see...pfffft ahaa" He chuckled as he scratched the back of his head. He was actually rather flustered, not having realized what it was that he had asked. "I see now, I'm sorry! I wasn't aware that marriage was actually such a big deal. Seems I still have a whole lot of stuff to learn." He responded as Tveda patted him on the shoulder.

His feelings hadn't been hurt, but he was definitely rather embarrassed by this turn of events. When the question of whether or not he belonged in a guild was brought up, he simply shook his head. "Guild? Me? Nah, I aint part of any guild. I just walk around and try to make a livin, you know." He replied, scratching the back of his head before lowering his arm again. He then decided to was time for the two of them to go and collect their reward.

Honesty without tact is cruelty.

Well done both of you. You got an equal 50% bonus.
Post length was decent throughout, though it did drop a bit near the end.
But...You managed to combine fighting with giant spiders and awks marriage proposals (no kick to groin TV? Much disappoint.)
So well done. I look forward to more from you both. <3
