“Quickly, No.” Daine said thinking for a short time, “The quicker I leave the sooner I can do my next delivers, but if I stay for a day or two I can gather more post.” It was an odd balance between the two; one that he hadn’t thought about too long. He’d had the job for a little while now but still he had no equation of formulae to figure out how long he started, more like a gut feeling. As he hopped over the small spring and started off towards the woods once more, he thought it best to finally slip his T-Shirt back over his head. “I forgot the way back.” Daine said as they stepped into the woods once more, he truthfully still knew it but his playful nature couldn’t help but screw with her, he had a few things he could do to mess with her head; he wasn’t going to do them all but he was going to exert a humour tax on her if he was guiding the cat girl through the forest. “Sorry kitty cat, we may have to take the long way unless….” His pause was purposeful, leaving enough time for her to think through the possibilities before coming out with something a little less off the beaten track. “Moss grows on one side of the tree, and if I pee on it I should get the wind direction and the wind points towards something and yeah.” He lost his wording slightly in excitement but still, panic and desperation were tools he’d come to love when getting people to go along with his mind games. “Wait here while I go pee on a tree; this shouldn’t take long.” He said, extending a reassuring hand onto the girls shoulder before looking her straight in the eyes. “I’m an expert at this, I can’t tell you how many times peeing has saved me. Hand me a bottle of water over a compass any time. And for those really fiddly places. Coffee is a saviour.” Daine finished, his glee obvious over his face; it was difficult to stop from bursting into laughter at his own words but somehow he found a way, the long con was usually the best. Moving over to the tree he glanced back down at his hand, then back to Ari and through the same action half a dozen times. “You best wipe your shoulder with something.” Daine said, being as polite to throw his wet pants at her for her to scrub down before exiting stage left behind a tree. There was part of him that felt at home peeing on a tree in the woods, genetics and all that. But he felt better screwing with someone. Now he’d just pee until she reacted. |

Ari didn't quite know what to make of this man, this wild boy she'd met in the woods. He was certainly unpredictable to say the very least and he seemed to be someone she'd have to keep a careful eye on if what he claimed was true, that he actually didn't know the way out (which she highly doubted.) She rolled her eyes at his claim that wind blows towards something and was half tempted to smack him upside the head to knock some sense into him. "Considering you seem to travel these woods a lot, I highly doubt you're lost" she said calmly. When he said something about peeing on a tree she wrinkled her nose in disgust. "I don't understand why males seem to have this habit of peeing on things like it's disgusting." she said, flicking her tail in irritation. He was playing with her, she knew that but today, she didn't exactly feel like playing games. However if he were to play games, she'd play along with him if she had to. He told her he'd be right back and she watched as he hid behind a tree and proceeded to pee on the tree. She narrowed her eyes, shaking her head at his childishness before a peal of laughter escaped her lips. "I don't know how this is going to help us. Just how the hell do you expect to find our way back when you're covering the scent to the city with your... excrement." she demanded, trying to contain her peels of laughter. |

Zipping back up, he exited back from behind the tree, looking at the girl in the face with glee on his face. “I have a few ideas of the way back, usually I just wing it and see where things take me, as I said, and I’m in no real rush.” Daine said moving over to the girl and placing his hands on her shoulders. “But you see sometimes the path goes through some areas a girl like you shouldn’t be going.” Holding back a giggle he moved closer to her one side, not being able to resist any more he had to just poke the ears, as a guy he couldn’t help but feel a girls most predominant features. And they were just sticking upwards ready for some attention. “They’re real right? Not one of those weird headband things?” Daine had to ask, he’d seen some crazy things but not many people with animal ears and a tail all the time, or at least not that they’d have on full display. Jumping back a little so she couldn’t retaliate if the kitty had some claws, Daine simply sat on the ground looking at her like a mischievous child. A grin from ear to ear he was ready to be hit; he expected it during these times. “Sorry sorry; I had to” Daine admitted, he enjoyed annoying people too much. “You’re right, I know the way back; it will take a little while If you’re still up for going along with me.” Daine explained, taking a little more of an ordinary tone with the cat girl now; he’d let her calm down a bit before he went back on to the offensive. “If you don’t hit me too much I’ll tell you a secret.” Daine said smiling, his cocky face knowing that generally people’s intrigue beat their will to knock his brains out, not that he wasn’t able to take a bit of a bashing. |

Ari's tail twitched, annoyed a bit but not really. She actually found that despite her annoyance, she was actually kind of entertained by him. However, the moment he asked if her ears were real she rolled her eyes. "Well no shit sherlock they're real, You know these things that are ATTACHED to me are fake totally." she said sarcastically before he poked her ears, as if confirming they were real and she sighed. She'd forgotten what it felt like to have her ears touched, most of the time, she didn't let anyone touch them but in this case, she didn't seem to get much of a choice. They twitched away from him and she watched in slight amusement as he jumped back, seeming afraid that she'd hit him or something. “You’re right, I know the way back; it will take a little while If you’re still up for going along with me.” Of course she would go along with him, he seemed to be her only way out of these woods. “If you don’t hit me too much I’ll tell you a secret.” she didn't normally hit people, unless of course they threatened her life in which case all bets were off. "Touch them again and I'll shred you but no, I won't hit you, right now that is. Now, lead the way, Daine." she said, putting on a grin of her own. |

“I was kind of hoping you’d hit me. It’s a hobby of mine.” Daine said with a cheeky grin plastered across his face again, this girl was strange but at the same time he could tell her buttons would be easy to press, that would make this whole trip a lot more enjoyable. He never really understood why other people didn’t like frustrating strangers, the hopeless look followed by the anger made Daine’s day, not in an overly sadistic way but he enjoyed being able to exert even a little bit of influence over people. “Alright, anyway my pee said we go that way.” He said, not even pointing in a direction, he waited just a little longer than needed to make it awkward before finally standing up and starting to walk in any which way, giving no reason to the cat girl as to why he was going in this direction; but within his own mind gears were turning, he wasn’t sure exactly what to do toy mess with her next, he’d exhausted the normal channels he had, and if he pried too much she’d likely go onto the defensive way before he was able to find any information about what made her tick; he did like the challenge of that but he’d use that later down the line when whatever he found out wore off. “So I wasn’t paying attention, why are you so far in the woods?” Daine asked, looking back over his shoulder to make sure she was actually still following, he’d heard cats had a crap sense of direction and if they were lost they’d just go in huge circles until they found something familiar but this house pet in particular looked like she’d failed to even do that correctly. Sighing to himself after every valid point he had in his mind to how this girl was hopeless, soon he sounded like a deflating balloon. “You know, if I were to leave, you’d likely never find the city and die out here.” Daine said, blinking it away like it was a fact more than anything, from his inner monologue on the walk he had become sure that it was a wonder this girl had survived so long. “Are you a house cat?” He finally asked, that being the only reason she still lived, if all her problems were sorted out by some owner. “Do you have a collar and a litter box?” |

This boy was certainly an oddity. Wanting to be hit? She sighed, her tail flicking from side to side in growing annoyance. She rolled her eyes as he began in a random direction and honestly didn't know what to make of this boy, a strange child but someone who could lead her out. "I told you, I was wandering around because I like to explore new places and happened to get lost because it's not exactly my fault all these god damned trees look the same." she growled. She hissed at his comment on her never surviving on her own and she had to bite back a nasty reply about how she'd survived the last several years on her own. "I'll have you know I've survived on my own for the last several years." she growled, her cheeks flaming. Her eyes didn't take on their cat like appearance but she could feel her demon beneath the surface. “Are you a house cat?” His question made her hiss and her ears pinned back against her head. “Do you have a collar and a litter box?” she snarled, letting her magic flow over her body as she transformed into her demonic form. "Serval Soul" she said in her native tongue. "I told you, I'm not a house cat. I'm a half demon and congratulations, you've pissed off my demonic half." she snarled, her claws coming out. She wouldn't hurt him too badly but she needed to teach him that she may be a cat but she would not back down. Her eyes took on a cat like appearance as her teeth grew to sharp points and her claws extended as she lashed her tail, warning him that she would not be called a house pet any longer. Daine was not expecting the girl to go exorcist on him. “What next is your head going to go all the way around?” he asked calmly, he’d seen people change their form numerous time, in fact it seemed more natural to him than people only being able to move around in the one state. The werewolf did nothing but smile at her gleefully, less in the cheeky attitude he had and more in a joyous one, if anything this made him feel a little more at home; being in the middle of the woods with some freaky girl who could sift what she looked like a bit. “If I had a sister…” Daine started, thinking to his actual family, “No, she’d beat the crap out of you.” He said sighing as though it’d happened to him a few too many times to be something he joked about; luckily for him he had accelerated healing compared to normal people and although things hurt they didn’t leave marks across him as often. “And don’t worry, don’t worry. You’re an outdoors cat.” With that Daine bolted, he was sure he’d prodded the bear a little too much and he was not looking forward to being clawed in the face. Luckily bears were usually a little slower after being poked, enough time for him to put a bit of distance between the pair. Getting close enough to a tree, Daine pushed himself up with a good degree of strength, digging his hands into the bark on the other side as he shimmied up with some speed until he found that a good twelve foot separated himself from the ground, hopefully he wouldn’t have to go to the extreme with the girl. Sitting on a branch above the ground, Daine finally looked down, hoping the girl was still at the bottom looking helpless and sad. “Where are you kitty cat?” he couldn’t help but taunt, calling out as his eyes scanned below looking for some sort of sign for her. |

It confused Ari that this boy didn't seem to fear her in this form, most people she knew would turn tail and run but he just stood there for a few moments, making a comment on whether her head would turn all the way around and she growled. His smile turning from cheeky to genuine further pissed her off, making her tail lash. "You better believe I'm an outdoor cat." she hissed before he seemed to use some brain cells and turned tail, running from her. She followed behind, trailing not far behind as in this form, she was faster than he was. She snarled as he climbed up a tree and began taunting her from above, seeming oblivious to the fact that she, as a cat, was a superb climber. "You realize that cats are excellent climbers right?" she inquired, having calmed a bit. Him calling out was only further proof that he was perhaps not the brightest bulb in the box. Quietly, so as not to alert him to the fact that she'd found him, she scaled the other side of the tree and found a branch above him, planning to attack from above. She peered down through the trees before she launched herself down, her claws outstretched ready to attack. |
