Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Sarcasm. Because beating the shit out of people is illegal.

The Dark Crystal

Thread One:
Ranth, Snow, and Cyrus all wake up in a dark crypt- the three of them at first are at odds with one another yet still manage to get along enough to agree to not kill each other until they get out of the labrynth. At first, the tomb seems dark and desolate- but as the group seemingly wind their way through the crypt, the atmosphere slowly changes and it becomes creepily apparent that something is following them. The group emerge into a chamber where they find a black crystal hovering in mid-air. One of the group touch the crystal but are immediately wracked by violent pains and go limp. The crystal hums to life and the dark tombs immediately start to roar to infernal glory, monstrous creatures of darkness emerging from the shadows. The group flee for their lives against the infinite army and manage to make it out to the desert sun with their last ounces of strength.

Thread Two:
The three wake up once again, this time in a more human looking building. Here the group are patched up and sent to go speak with the leader of what looks like a large town. Presented to the Archduke who rules the town with an iron fist as a ‘benevolent tyrant’ the man orders the three to remain in the city and under close surveillance, ordering that they will have a good time or else. Not about to have any of that, the three quickly become involved in investigating the town and its inhabitants. They finally meet the sole mage in the town, living under a collapsed bridge and selling tea to passerbys, he seems to recognize the group but dismiss them mostly as hoodlums. With nothing else to do, the group try to lay low and integrate until a new step becomes apparent.

Thread Three:
One of the local inhabitants invite the three to the local festival, put on each year to commemorate the history of the city known as ‘Marrow Mound’. The group reluctantly agree and experience the surprisingly lively town, things go south however as creatures similar to the ones from the tomb appear and terrorize the group. Despite killing the creatures, the group are accused of being the ones who instigated the attack, the Archduke condemning Ranth and Snow to death for their magic. Cyrus objects, his opinions of the two having changed after spending more time with them- although these are shot down by the overlord whos word reigns as supreme. The two are taken away, leaving a conflicted Cyrus who must decide whether to follow his duty as a knight and let the two die or to help them and forgo his honor.

Thread Four:
Ranth and Snow are put into a gladiatorial combat arena, their magic sealed by the guards. The Duke watches from his seat as the group fight abnormal monsters from below. Silently, Cyrus sneaks through the crowd to try and free his colleagues before he stumbles upon the duke’s quarters, reading his journal to catch a glimpse of the man’s true aim and just where on earth they actually are. The blond realizes that they never left-earth land, they’re simply on the opposite side of the world, a land with no name which lies beyond the Pergrande kingdom previously thought to be devoid of life. Furthermore, the man deduces that the duke plans to strike up a deal with the black crystal, using the people of Marrow Mound as a mass sacrifice to solidify his role as ruler of the black horde. Armed with necessary proof, the man frees his friends and reveals the duke’s plans to the crowd who turn on him and gut him like a pig. The man’s last words however forebode a coming tidal wave of death, he was the only one which could control and keep the darkness at bay by negotiating with it- with his death, the crystal can simply spread its corruption as far as it pleases now. Cyrus realizes that the journal did not reflect this and that the group had just killed their only hope of getting out of things in one piece. The tea wizard shows up and tells them that if they can destroy the black crystal then the darkness will fade away- although an army is sure to be on its way come nightfall to kill them all.

Thread Five:
The group split up, Ranth and Snow to re-enter the crypt and destroy the crystal while the entity’s horde is assaulting Marrow Mound. Cyrus elects to stay and lead the defense of the city while the two magi overtly sneak back into the lions den. The battle begins at nightfall and each player plays their respective parts. The two magi face the entity living within the crystal before finally destroying it and Cyrus successfully defends the city by leading its forces the best he can. As the sun shines brighter than before, the three reunite and the tea wizard reveals he brought them here in the hope that they would take over the duke’s duty, but with the events which have transpired- this is no longer necessary. He bids them farewell and send them home.
