Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Huh? Oh come on, was that wink wonk set of words really necessary. It's only been like forty seconds. Kaku couldn't help the slight furrow that set in his eyes, nor the scrunching of his nose that made a frown apparent, nor the tilt of his head away from her at what he was understanding as a hint at something of an unfavorable tone. He's heard such a tone so many times from peers of his generation back at Empyrea, a tone he'd never be able to understand the pleasure of... it would have been more difficult to not think that she was aiming down low in the clouds. "Uh huh. Yeah okay." He'd commend himself for holding his tongue, but Monkey Mask Man's presence and the unwanting of needing to deal with her questionable hints was what took hold of any words he might have shared, on that subject.

She might have known how to quick draw, but either way he appreciated the relaxed stance and then was able to give the two of them equal attention. Monkey Mask Man, MMM, or perhaps a simply elongated mmmmmmmm, and Dancer Tia. Blade users were like dancers, weren't they? Eh, simple enough. "Did we all wake up in a building? If there even are any others, they might have woken up in another one as well. Maybe decided to even stay there too, if they're lucky enough to be stocked with supplies." It was another thing they'd have to deal with once they became familiar with the bearings of the city's emptiness, but as MMM led the way, he already stopped not even yet through the door. "What?"

Oh bloody nether, is that-"
food!? PREY. FOOD. Kaku had to force his mouth closed after pausing in his sentence. He took a breath with his eyes homing in on the zebra's bent over neck where the main artery should be, not even noticing MMM's other realization. Kaku opened his mouth again when he knew he wouldn't yell out too cheerfully that, oh yes, at least there was possible meat to hunt in this emptiness. "Well, uh, if there's one, then there should be others right? We won't have to worry about running out of food, at least," he offered with a smirk. And then he heard Monkey's words. And then he looked and... Oh. "Oh." Happiness was replaced with awe of such a natural sight, or rather a sight so full of nature, and he said the first quip to the unanswerable question. "...Long enough?" He shared a look with Monkey, but then remembered about the guy's mask and had to glance at Tia to feel less awkward, and then back to the streets.

Before he could supply a more thought-out answer, the glass in front of them cracked, from one side to the other without breaking. The sound was sudden, but most of all was too loud for the mage who hadn't expected such a thing, so instinctively Kaku brought his hands up to lower his headphones' dials. "Sssch!"
And then there was rumbling, and the zebra still on the street looked behind itself.

A yes, a Zebra, why wouldn't there have been a Zebra in the middle of the street? Oh, I don't know - sense!?

Things were already weird for the three that had awoken to find themselves otherwise alone, not s sign as to others in the town that they had woken up in. To make things even more of a brain twister, they now had something even Artesia had failed to notice when she'd walked across the street; wildlife. Not only was there a zebra in the middle of the street, its stripes standing out amongst the rest of the warm blooded creatures upon the pavement.

An animal could walk and make its way to places, such was how Artesia reconciled that she'd not seen in minute earlier on her way across the street. As for the plants that had overgrown and begun to destroy the structures and pavement? Well, she had absolutely nothing to share that could explain that. "Well, that's new." Her eyes scanned the vines that had climbed their way up the walls and to the large cracked mounds of concrete at her feet where tree roots had burst on through. Squishing a mosquito against her arm, she grimaced with annoyance. "Can't say I like it."

What the hell was going on and how was it that time had seemingly passed them by at light speed while leaving them untouched?

The sound of the cracking glass caught the trios attention and forcibly for that matter. The zebra showed clear signs of panic as it fled with whinnies thrown about with every gallop it took. Then again the ground shook violently and the glass in the buildings around them cracked further. This repeated itself and each time it did the tremors grew more and more severe. Whatever was coming, it was coming quickly. "Doorframes!" Artesia shouted in warning to the two she was now allied with for their survival. There was going to be a cause to the shaking ground at their feet but regardless, the door frames of the closest buildings were their safest place to be.

Artesia took the longest dash across the street upon herself, and but a second after she finished it, the cause of the tremors became clear. An ear piercing cry broke through the air, one that Artesia recognised instantly given her time spent in jungles and the like; Elephants. Not only were there zebra to see but there was apparently several elephants as well?!

The trio were left to take what cover they could from the crumbling buildings around and above them as the massive creatures made their way through the street. Nothing got in the animals way, for there was nothing they could not go right over, or through for that matter. As the tremors faded into the distance again and the falling pieces of the upper floors of buildings slowly began to stop falling, the three were left to try to come to terms with what had just happened.

"Uh-uh, okay, so whatever zoo's closest to this place broke down and now it's going all Tokyo Jungle down here, is this how it's gonna be?"

Even from his safe(ish) place behind the door frame of the church - the humor was not lost on him - right next to the bar, Monkey had a way with making himself heard; by which one means, sheer volume.

As slowly as he possibly could, the masked man peeked his head out a minute or two after the rampaging stopped, and the sounds of trunks blowing and things falling down diminished to a negligible level. The coast looked clear for now, that was good. Monkey stood back up, grabbing onto the door frame for support, and then walked out of the building with his head darting back and forth just in case there were other large unexpected animals in the vicinity. The zebra(s) were now nowhere to be seen.

"...Well." His ears were still recovering from the great sounds of the elephants.

"You know what, I think this would be a great time for a meal - is there a market or a restaurant here? At the very least, a convenience store? Something actually edible, not just stuff to make me, y'know, drunk." He knew enough about shady establishments to never trust a bar with providing food.

A quick glance around them showed that most of the buildings in this area were more business-oriented, office buildings and public service facilities and whatnot. There was a hospital in the direction from where the elephants had come from, but Monkey had reservations against hospital food for more than a few good personal reasons; on the other hand, going the other way threatened them with the presence of facing the elephants again.

This was a two-way street; there were no other options.

"...Hospitals! They have...food, right?"

More than just breaking glass and fleeing mammals, the worn buildings shook with far greater intensity than back in their prime. For however long they were left without maintenance, all those years were finally coming to an end as some of the outer structures gave way to the stress. Kaku had heard Tia's suggestion as clear as the zebra's fear, but anything else became lowered down to a bearable whisper. The volume shift didn't stop any of the crumbling or incoming threat, and the boy managed to run out. Though, his late start forced him to take a different direction than Tia and MMM. An ornamental statue's wings crash landed in front of where he crouched down, off the platform above the door frame, but otherwise Kaku was safe off the street sans the raining pebbles warded off by his hat.

Elephants. Blaring, stampeding elephants and Kaku was about to count at least eleven of them through the dust. Geographically, it shouldn't have made sense... but well, nothing at the moment made sense. This was too ridiculous... Was anything else going to come out!? It hasn't even been that long since they woke up-- since they left the building and already they had to look out for the wildlife. "Will we all really be okay..." he said more to himself. He felt Rou repositioning around his body from the sudden burst of movement. The elephants were receding in the distance, the zebra was gone, and from behind the fallen stone wing fragment of the Halloween store across the church, Kaku readjusted hi headphones to the regular input just as he began understanding MMM yelling something about a meal and getting drunk.

He began to stand up, briefly wondering where that fast Tia had taken refuge, and then opened his mouth. Instead of sound coming out, his legs lost their strength before even reaching the fifth foot. Not just his legs, but his entire body fell over, eyes closed and no longer conscious. Both the human and the snake, the latter still hidden, stopped moving and simply lay on their right side. What black hair that could be seen under his hat was turning white, and the markings below his eyes turned red even as they were covered by virtue of laying against the ground. For what purpose Rou had to switch bodies right then and there, Kaku didn't know and wouldn't be able to know until the two were awake again and no longer vulnerable. The snake within the jacket became white.

The stampede of elephants caused significant damage to the aging and neglected structures in the streets as they pounded against the ground on their way by. Artesia was thankful for the fact that the doorframe she took shelter under was sturdy enough not to come down around her as she looked about at the others that had. The next point of concern was whether or not the other two she'd been in the company of had been blessed with the same amount of luck. Unggoy was easy enough to find, his figure emerging out from his hiding place promptly to survey the distance.

"I don't know if you can call it food." She said in response to his mention of a hospital and its provisions. "But," Kaku had not reappeared and so, in search of him, Artesia wandered to where he'd been hiding. There she found him unconscious on the ground.. "A hospital might be wise." As she stood over him, she couldn't help but figure he'd either passed out from shock or out of fear - there were no visible injuries she could see, but perhaps he'd been hit on the head? Either way, it was likely he was going to need some kind of medical assistance, even if only minor.

Artesia crouched down beside the two that were effectively out cold, her hand gently pulling the hood back as she sought out a better look at what had caught her attention. She specifically recalled him having raven coloured hair, much like Unggoy's own; so why was it white all of a sudden? "Looks like we've got our hands full." He was out like a light and judging from his steady breathing and lack of any kind of response to his hood being moved; he wasn't going to be getting up any time soon. With a glance to her still conscious companion, she assessed whether or not the man would be able to carry him without a word.

"Give me a hand." The only way she could carry someone of Kaku's size without any sort of effort coming from him was on her back in a piggy back, but she sure as hell wasn't going to get him up there without Unggoy's help. Once they had their 'resting' allies all set, the journey to the hospital in the distance could begin.

Monkey took no time in hesitating to go back, making his way straight towards Tia and the unconscious Kaku - "Did something about him...change? He looks, well, different. Can't pin down how, though." So far, the votes were two in favor of going to the hospital, and the one who'd yet to vote looked like the one who needed to go to a hospital the most right now.

"Here, I'll- grab the legs, hm." It seemed easy enough if they carried the unconscious young man together, if no way else, at least by carrying him in some manner reminiscent of some ghetto form of a human stretcher. "He's not a child, but he's not heavy heavy, at least- let's try to make it to the hospital before anything else goes wrong." It was times like these that made him wonder why he didn't take on a job as an animal trainer before. They could have been rolling in the benefits by now.

"Alright, one, two, three, four, two, two, three, four- is that a eagle? No, sorry, thought I saw an- wait no, that's a raven. Up there, on the third building to the left, do you see it? Fourth floor, right by that one window with the ugly streak of red? Right there- what's it holding in its beak? It looks like an- oh."

Perhaps it would be a good idea for the lot of them to get to the hospital a little bit faster; for one, there was some massive raven-like bird up there looking around, and it had some long gray thing in its beak - it looked like the trunk of an elephant. "Am I the only one starting to be concerned about the wildlife, outside of them just being wildlife? Maybe we should pick up the pace a bit- you know what, let's jog."

Thankfully, the hospital wasn't far away at all; just a bit more, and they could reach the shelter of the first place no one should ever go to in the case of a zombie apocalypse.

One bird, two birds, five birds. The massive mass of black feathers was joined by four smaller ones, and each of them eyed the three traversing bodies with varying body language. Fortunately or unfortunately, none of them took flight for the time being, though whether due to already having their meal, or losing their interest, or the blasted heat tiring them, no one could be certain. Whatever the case, Artesia and Monkey would soon reach the view of a white and green building. The green was a myriad of vines, leaves, and stems, but a red plus sign could easily be seen between the growths. A giant dull-colored flower had managed to bloom underneath the corner of the red plus sign however, and has caused it to tilt into an X. Luckily, everything else about the building was still relatively intact and functional.

It was only when the group reached the front of the doors did he begin to register sounds and movement slowly nudging him awake. There were the voices of a woman and a man, though this time he heard them clearly instead of muffled though fabric. He hadn't the immediate sense to move himself or make it known that he was waking up, seeing as whoever was carrying him wasn't weak enough to have to drag him. He felt rather comfortable in the position... Being able to rest soundly and someone actually able to carry him, height and all? It reminded him of a simpler time... one that didn't involve waking up in the middle of a very unknown time frame with two strangers left of humanity as they knew it. That one thought was what forced Rou to open his eyes. Red was met by red, but he didn't try to shift. Vaguely, he realized the curves that were holding up his body, so this person must be... In a tone softer than Kaku's, Rou spoke up. "...Hi. Thanks for carrying me. I can walk now, if you'll let me."

As the world became clearer to him, he knew Kaku was also waking up in that snake body. He knew his action was reckless, perhaps beyond reckless, but he felt an undeniable urge to explore the situation personally. He felt a great want, so he carried it out. It was just a positive fact that he and Kaku hadn't been left on the ground back there-- or maybe it was because Rou trusted the other two enough to not want to leave their 'ally' behind. Whatever the case, it didn't matter. Rou was awake, and no one had lost a limb while he was unconscious. He considered at the very least to not move until given the consent, since any sudden swing from him might topple his benevolent carrier. Ah... he'll have to explain had happened too... Rou was able to move his eyes to look around to see where they had decided to go, but couldn't see much from his position.

The white snake was staying silent for now, but Kaku was no doubt fuming about the risk that they had just been put through... More than anything, Kaku wanted to yell and scold at Rou, but was also assaulted by an unnatural sense of fear about could have happened, though luckily hadn't. He wanted to ask what the nether Rou was thinking, but he couldn't right now. Too many unknowns. "I hope I wasn't too much of a burden," Kaku heard Rou say apologetically.

Unggoy was a talkative fellow, but Artesia didn't mind. Silence could be boring if it reigned for too long and besides, there was nothing but silence all around them as it was - they need not add to it. Together they made their way through the empty streets with their unconscious companion held like a makeshift stretcher and together they shortened the distance between them and the hospital they sought. Things had been fine despite the danger they had faced earlier, there was no signs of anything else that would want them dead to be seen. But of course that didn't mean there wasn't any malice being sent their way. Odds were that there was plenty of it coming from the birds that watched them from afar, birds that were amassing in number. Despite that Artesia had more than enough weapons on her to handle such things, she agreed to quicken their pace, even if only to get to the hospital faster for potential clues as to what was going on.

At the large doors to the now deteriorated Hospital entrance showed no signs of power as they approached them. "Makes sense." Artesia mused while shifting her hold on Kaku. "The generator still working would have been asking for too much." There was a touch of sarcasm and frustration to be easily identified as she lowered the legs she'd been holding. "I'll deal with him," She would start to reposition to piggy back their 'dead weight'. "You get the doors open." It might have been wiser for the red head to handle opening the doors given her experience in such things, but, given that Unggoy didn't seem to have the body strength to carry their friend quite as easily as she could and that danger could potentially be anywhere, leaving him on the ground wasn't the wisest either.

While Unggoy did whatever it was he was doing with the doors that seemed highly un-eager to cooperate with him, Kaku began to stir back into consciousness. Something was different with the way he sounded but then again it was likely just because he'd just woken up from whatever had knocked him out. "Knock yourself out." She said as she lowered him down so that his feet touched the ground once more. "Actually," She turned to face him. "Don't do that." She stretched her back out without a care as to whether or not it made her stick her chest out as she put a hand to her lower back. "You're kinda heavy." It wasn't a jab at his weight nor a comment meant in mean spirit; it was a jest.

"Yo, Unggoy. Sleeping beauty's up. How go the doors?" Burden? Had she just heard the man murmur about being a burden? "Don't sweat it kid. I've carried heavier."

"Uh, if we've gotten power back, no, but if you're asking if they're open, yes."

The usual hospital doors opened inwards by themselves, for the convenience of patients - but, in the case of emergencies, these doors would be somehow locked; Monkey knew this from past experience. Still, the first thing that came to mind was just to barge in, and the young man tried to open them by straight-out pushing - but imagine his surprise when he stepped forwards into the entrance, and the entire right door came off its hinges. Which explained why here he was, holding an entire door open in front of him like thief stealing a painting gone wrong.

Monkey put the door to the side - time had withered the old chunk of wood, and it was light enough for such things - before beckoning Tia and the newly-revived Kaku in. Closest to the entrance, of course he had the pleasure of looking in first. "Coast is clear, or at least it's- oh god, something smells disgusting in here." He also had, naturally, the fortune, or in this case the misfortune, of being first to investigate the dimly-lit reception hall of the hospital.

There was a mass of stains in the middle of the reception hall, the likes of which Monkey himself had no desire of going near; there was also a t-shirt in the middle of those stains, but nothing else. Excluding that, the reception hall was a perfect show of life after civilization - there were cracks on the walls, small vines growing here and there, and the stairs and such all looked worn and decrepit. There were two hallways, one to each side - the one on the left was blocked by several hospital beds piled atop one another in an unsightly display, while the other had nothing unusual about it. In the back, light shined down through the stairs.

"This place definitely looks fishy..." Monkey muttered, mostly to himself. "But if they have a cafeteria, it's almost definitely going to be on the first floor somewhere."

He took a glance into the hallway on the right, before turning back. "How should we do this, exploring this place? All together now? You can't go alone, that's for sure." Monkey asked, his last sentence directed at Kaku.

It hadn't been difficult to reassure that everything was in order now that he was standing again. Rou mentally body checked himself as he always needed to do every time swapping occurred, and he was wordlessly glad that Tia took the whole carrying thing without much irritation. Wait, 'kid'? 'Sleeping beauty' made sense-- that one was a joke. But 'kid'? And then he felt more than heard the breaking of a door. Oh that's just grand. "At... least we know someone else might not have entered this way? Unless they went through a window..." Rou contemplated. Neither Tia nor Monkey mentioned anything about Rou being Rou yet, so Rou figured it wasn't important to mention right now and instead followed in.

Immediately, he regretted his human sense of smell. Of course the second odor he'd smell had to be... whatever the heck this was. Rou tilted his face toward his shoulder and stopped inhaling for a moment, and then noticed a few fungi growing through the cracks as well, though tiny as they were. Monkey had stopped so survey the room, so Rou stopped beside him as well, but also crouched down to get a better angle now that he accepted his nose's fate. Those stains didn't look very inviting, but the shirt was weirder in Rou's opinion. From here, the color of the t-shirt looked as if it wasn't affected by the stains at all. "It looks like that shirt was placed their after those stains. Not sure if that means anything though."

Wait, why was Monkey looking at him like that? Like a... 'kid'? "...At the very least, I believe I can assure you both that I won't pass out like that again any time soon..." He frowned a little, but maybe it looked like a pout with how young he looked from the angle and how he was currently crouching. More importantly though, Rou grabbed the shillelagh stick strapped to his back with his right hand near the tip, and then placed his left fist against the ground. He struck the ground with the stick like one would with a cane hard enough to make sound, but not enough to break nor crack nor dent the floor. For a moment of unmoving concentration, and with some of his weight pushing down on his fist to read the rippling vibrations, Rou ascertained at least one thing. "There isn't anything immediately under us. If there actually are rooms down there, then they're either much farther down or somewhere not under this lobby."

He stood up slowly so his legs wouldn't hurt and so Kaku didn't get dizzy from in there, and then looked between Monkey and Tia. "If I'm not going anywhere alone ―not like he'd actually be alone but whatever they don't know that― then we all might as well stay together. I don't mind following if you lead." Kaku would've started yelling about being treated like a child, but boy was it a good thing he wasn't currently talking right now. Even if only because he was holding back with a ridiculous amount of effort.
