Appearance "It's true, I certainly look my age, but can you truly look at me for who I am?" It's not without due respect that Andraix is an elderly gentleman, his hair has long since gone white and the hair that once covered his scalp is no more. However, he is showing signs of his age despite how well his clothing hides it. The wrinkles are pretty clear and his skin isn't nearly as smooth as it once was, but that is merely a natural process of life. He rarely reveals much skin other than his face, forearms, and hands as it is considered humble by the Moxtiri to show little skin. Moxtiri (and as such, Andraix's) skin isn't pale, contrary to common belief as their clothes do little against the sun that constantly bears down upon them while they travel. They do not look down upon those that choose different lifestyles and, as such, their own clothing decisions, to each their own. However, he does have a somewhat short wispy hair protruding from his chest, arms, and legs. His facial hair is one the things that he is quite proud of, keeping it well trimmed and rounded during his travels to keep it looking clean. He's got a slightly large nose just above and his ears are proportionate to it, though his eyes often catch passersby' attention. His right eye has a mesmorizing emerald green, while the left is a completely white, though both have white, bushy brows that make him look rather grim and sober for first impressions. On his back is a group of three large claw marks caused by an encounter with a bear while making a nomadic journey through Bosco in his younger years with a group of youth when he was 54 years old. He took the nearly lethal strike to protect one of the newfound Iothiri that had froze in terror, putting him under medical attention for six weeks in a Boscan facility until he could reunite with the tribe. When he was 16, the Moxtiri were attacked by an Urza tribe and Andraix lost eyesight in his left eye after suffering from a blow from a weapon, leaving a thin, faded four inch scar that starts directly above his eye and goes straight down below it. Full Size Image: Spoiler: click to toggle Personality "I do not bolster to be brilliant, beautiful, or brazen. However, that does not mean that I'm not." Andraix, being one of the elders of the Moxtiri tribe, is a very calm and mindful individual. Years and years of living with his fellow tribesmen and raising each generation of youth has instilled those traits into him, despite the quite ambitious and tempermental childhood of his own. He is an individual that you can seek sanctuary in, having all the time in the world to talk to you and tend to you in times of need. He knows no bounds when it comes to aiding those around him, actively seeking to make life an enjoyable and memorable present for everyone around him. He desires the experiences, wisdom, and knowledge of each and every day, hoping to one day pass on such memories to children. After all, the stories that he shares are filled with truth and good morals, even if they might seem a bit exaggerated. He's a great story teller and loves to capture the interest of his audience with his near flawless execution, but he thoroughly enjoys being part of the audience as well. There's always things to learn about and observe, these are merely a few of the countless lessons in life! However, that is not to say he's a flawless man. While he isn't one that intends to judge others, he can find himself forcing his own opinions and wills upon others. He's a very influential speaker and finds those that listen to his every word do not read between the lines, taking things to literal. He enjoys talking in proverbs and finds it encourages creative thinking, but can often times lead to very confusing and mixed messages. Another fault of his comes from the harsh perspective of the Moxtiri's filkiati, quite similar to the concept of karma in foreign lands. However, instead of waiting for the Gods to bring justice to the perpetrator eventually, the Iothiri carry out this duty for them. Typically the system follows the "eye for an eye" basis, but the Moxtiri strive to rehabilitate rather than incapacitate. Most sinners are lost in their ways and are in need of guidance, but some souls are far too corrupt to save and they must pay the price, no matter how severe. History "The past is a proverb, the presence is a problem, and the future is the solution." History Disciplines "Little is capable of being achieved without patience, practice, or prayer." Herbalist - From travelling across the great deserts of his homeland and the journey to Fiore, he has learned and became quite masterful in the art of herbalism. It is considered necessary trait for the Moxtiri for the prosperity of the tribe and one's connection to nature, in which the herbs are plentiful and vast. They vary in effects, ranging from healing to poison, and it is quite important to know the distinction between saving one's life and putting it in peril. Nature can be very harsh if it is not respected and treated kindly, a lesson that Andraix has learned quite a few times in his youth. Ripeik di wer Moxtiri - The Moxtiri are a peaceful tribe, one that seeks safety of sanctuary and avoids the turmoil of war. However, as all mankind know, this can sometimes be an inescapable fate and they are prepared to fight back. The Iothiri have developed this fighting style to protect themselves, the tribe and those that can not fend for themselves. It works in conjuction between their Skjall di Naam (staff) and the Regipre di wer Ithquenti (magic), similar to the Bojutsu style, but with the added efficiency of their magic. Various Rune Knowledge - Throughout his lifetime, he's come across countless tribes, towns, and their respective manuscripts. He has studied these scripts and learned about the history of these people and places, often by word of mouth. However, he treasures the rather simplistic gifts that are given to Moxtiri, though he only wishes for books and herbs. These books are a foundation of his vast knowledge of runes and scripts, both ancient and modern. Obviously, he hasn't and likely never will learn all that's out there, but he's capable of reading and writing in these various manuscripts. Equipment "The burden of weight is an insignificant toll to pay for the good it brings." Sultana Gogetoi (D-Class) Description: The Iothiri are both the warriors and providers of the tribe, often adorned with unique tools and clothing. One of the most distinguishing tools of the trade is the Iothiri's staff, crafted by the magic of the tribe itself. A magically imbued tree known as the Skjall di Naam is raised through the farming technique of the Moxtiri, but it bears no fruit, leaves, or branches. It grows approximately six height in length and varies in look, but it is often regarded as a staff in appearance and usage. Often times, a dormant magic can be found in the Skjall di Naam, ranging in power and use. Andraix's Sultana Gogetoi, previously owned by his father, currently displays no such magic, but he is patiently awaiting its awakening. Function: Serves the equivalent of a D-Class weapon and walking staff. Stats Stats - 45 Strength: 10 Accuracy: 9 Stamina: 8 Speed: 8 Magic: 10 Earned Stat Points Earned: 0/0 Arc Points Earned: 0/0 Jewels Earned: 100,000/100,000 Sources Sources Magic "Never forget those that have blessed you with their gifts." Magic Name: Regipre di wer Ithquenti // ("Gift of the Gods") Magic Type: Vocal Incantations // Glyphs Magic Tier: 1 Magic Rank: 2 Magic Description: The Moxtiri tribe's magic revolves around vocal incantations, which then produces magic in the physical form. As the word(s) of an incantation are spoken, glyph(s)s will appear in front of the user. The glyphs themselves are approximately 10cm^2 each and vary in appearance, depending on the spell that it belongs to. Further depending upon the details of the spells, they can typically be launched towards a target, held in place, or absorbed by the user. The strong the connection to the Gods, known as the Ithquenti, the more potent the magic (characterized by the ranking of magic, this creates [Rank x Level] glyphs). Spells can be used to slightly alter the weather such as creating a small shower, tap into the harmonical balance with the Ithquenti to increase one's power, inflict elemental damage upon a target, and other similar effects. While the magic itself includes the elemental nature of the world, it can do little more than inflict elemental damage. Being such a noteworthy gift, only one spell can be given by the Gods (no more than one spell per element). Technique Points: 2/2 (2 Earned and 0 Purchased)

Hi and welcome. ^.^ I am quite impressed. This is a very good first go. You need duration and cooldowns for both techniques. I would suggest around a one post duration at this point since they are both offensive. Duration would be around 2-3. All I see at the moment besides a broken color tag ( [/color] ) at the end of your magic deacritpion. Please post in this thread when you've edited. |
