The sudden change of location really threw the man off his balance and sanity as he looked from the seat to now where Syeena was sitting. She was completely composed and calm, almost mocking in her disposition towards him. She may of looked like a temptress out to destroy, but she was not some bar wench for anyone to grab. She had more self respect than that, and was not about to have her be used by lowlives like them. She pulled the strings. Irritated, the man snarled with his drunken daze. "W-why you?!" he snarled. "Some man should teach you a lesson ya bitch---!" SLASH!! There was a sudden flash of metal-like object from the corner of his eye as he stopped his advance to her. She had threw something at him, it just grazing his cheek-- enough to snap him into a sober state of alarm. Blood trickled down his cheek as he noticed the blow. Wedged into the end of the wall behind him was one of her Tarot cards. She had thrown it with such skill and precision she could turn them into weapons if she wished. "That's WITCH, to you. Now, if you will excuse me, I think I will find some better company to spend my time with," Syeena said as she began to get up. At that time however, a few more of the man's friends came over. "Yo! You can't diss our boss like that! " "Ya, skank! Ya better show him some proper respect!" another said. The verbal drunken slurs came flying, and Syeena said nothing. They were testing her patience, and Hex just sighed and shook her head. The black cat jumped down from the bar and elegantly began to walk away. Finally, drunken and having their fill of no replies to their insult, they tried to tackle her and 'teach her a lesson'. However... FLash! ZIP! They all fell on top of one another as the space she stood was gone! Daine would be able to see it now. Syeena now stood in the back of the room, having moved in the blink of an eye. IT was impossible for ANYONE to physically move that fast and not be seen. The men just literally fell flat on their faces and asses for their idiocy. With a flip of her hair, she turned and walked to the entrance where Daine was waiting. "Oh, don't tell me you want to escort me through this dangerous town? Or are you just looking for an excuse to get to know me better?" she mocked, a bit of a flirt at the end of her words. For Hex the cat however, she was more hostile to any male who tried to put the moves on Syeena. She was a bit over protective, but she acted more like she was just mocking them. In the end the cat was Syeena's friend and beloved witch's familiar of an Exceed. |

Daine blinked a few times in surprise at what happened, calling into question his own judgment but at the same time having to trust his own gut. This made things a little more interesting if she could pull stunts like that without coming out worse for wear, or at least not visibly worse for wear. Thinking it best not to talk about it, he let her out into the street first and followed afterwards, looking back to the pile of drunks and laughing to himself. “I’m sure I’d be a lot happier with you on my arm, I’m going to say I don’t think there are many people who’d say any differently. I’m sure there was a woman or two in the bar eyeing you up. But just to say I have first picks.” Daine finished at, laughing once more and ignoring the cat, he wasn’t sure if the cat was glaring at him, but he sure felt some hate headed towards him. It was still raining outside of course, it still poured down but the already drenched Daine didn’t care too much about it, simply moving on forward through the streets. It had the characters you’d expect for this sort of town, nothing too different from any of your other dark underbellies. The one who looked like a rundown pimp, drenched in water with nothing but a felt hat to try and bear with the downpour. Amongst a few more unsavoury looking characters. “Follow me this way and we’ll get under cover.” Daine said, darting to the side into an alley. They weren’t the well-travelled of places, any dark dealings were done on the streets here, they were so common nobody cared about them. The back alleys were reserved for the rats and homeless people. But the benefit was that the alleys were covered by overhanging roves from buildings, funnelling water down gutters besides a small narrow strip in the middle of the alley. “It’s a bit of a maze in here so stick close.” Daine said, leading the pair through the least foul route he could find. He’d been in the city for a while and had gotten used to traversing the alleys, there were numerous dead ends and junctions, as many as the trash piles found within. Using his nose and experience it wasn’t long before the pair came to a small service tunnel. “What you want for is in the underground, but I’d advise you if you want to stay pretty and clean, I wouldn’t go down there.” Daine said, smiling in a way that made it obvious that he wasn’t too bothered about a bit of dirt. Without saying anything he kind of liked it, his werewolf side made him want to roll around in nature, and these tunnels were as close to nature as a person could get in the middle of the city. “Also, some advice before we go down. I wouldn’t talk about what we are doing, just don’t talk to anyone and look menacing.” He commented. Waiting to hear for her response before they started. There was no point in going through the brunt of it for some squeamish highbrow girl to think it too much and run back with her tail between her legs. Looking down the tunnel it seemed rather narrow and dark, a few yellow lights scattered dimly across the walls in set intervals. With his heightened smell he could clearly pick up a collection of rubbish, some sewage and a lot of other things foul enough for him to not even think about what it could be. |

OUt of all the thugs and suitors that were in the bar, at least Daine here had a bit of class and actually seemed to have something between his ears aside 'look at the pretty woman' on his mind. Well he might have that there, but she didn't mind the right attention from the right guy. "Why thank you , sir. What a gentleman," she replied and took his arm as well. Hex just grumbled and followed the pair-- all while being sure to avoid the rain and get her fur soaked again. "If I get wet again, smartass , I will use your clothes for a towel!" the cat replied with sass as they made their way down the street. Syeena had no issues as he took her towards the ally way. It was far dryer there as he showed her to the more darker area of this filthy town. Hex was relieved at least that she didn't have to dodge rain and simply shook off the minor water from her fur. It was when that Daine mentioned the path-- involving the dark tunnel below and into a more dirty place. The only thing that turned Syeena off to it was the idea of possibly going into the actual sewer for the gunk and smell over everything else. Irritating, sure but not enough to stop her. She turned to Draine and had a hand on her hip. "Do I strike you as the type to whine over a broken nail? Please!" she replied, more than ready to venture into the tunnel. "In case you have not noticed, I tend to like things a bit... dirty," she said with a hint of flirtation to her voice. Hex just rolled her eyes. She knew Syeena loved lighting a fire under the boys' butts. "Oh, get a room you two!" the cat meowed as she gestured for them to get going. The cat didn't seem to like the smell down there either but away they would go. Still, Syeena was fine where they were going. "I'll be fine. You don't have to worry about me. I can handle myself just fine," The tunnels were grimey and messy, but luckily it was so far just mold, roots, and woods. Such things Syeena could handle with ease. She grew up in Poissentia-- the entire city made of wood, trees and flowers. Nature smells bothered her very little. |

Daine gave the woman a small chuckle of approval before heading into the tunnel, the entrances were never too abd, it was further down when you went even more off the beaten track, anything that was worth getting you had to go the extra mile for, and in this case that mile was downwards. “We are headed to a little join I found out after my first stint in the city.” Daine explained, he’d been everywhere big at least twice by now, he had a few friend, a few people who hated him but no real enemies, his charming and unpredictable nature was amusing to the higher ups. But this time was different he was going to have to push the girl a little to see if she snapped. “We are going to have to take the long way around.” Daine explained, thinking on his feet about how to do this. He didn’t want to be the one to unknowingly bring some sort of knight into the middle of a shadier area, it could be his head on a spike put up as an example to everyone else. Although he was lovable, he was expendable, he had no allegiances to gangs meaning that giving him the task of being scapegoat wouldn’t offend anyone else, besides Daine. The tunnel started to get a little darker and the roof lower and lower until Daine had to slightly hunch over in offer to continue walking. He had come this way the first time he ventured around down here. It wasn’t the nicest of places, even to his guests less refined sense of smell she would be able to pick up that they were approaching the sewers quicker and quicker. “The tunnels are used for everything, but some are cut off from the main system. You can only reach them through the sewers.” That part wasn’t a lie but he wasn’t going to take her right to the place he had in mind. As the tunnel narrowed further and the smell increased, Daine took started to feel the sides of the walls where the piping jutted out, taking care to only run his hands across a certain pipe as the other radiated heat. “It’s about here.” Daine explained, giving little explanation of what he was looking for until suddenly stopping and pushing himself onto the floor and rolling under the lower most pipe into an off cut. A small room with a set of steps leading down to the sewers. “Does the princess need a break or are you ready to get a little dirty?” The werewolf laughed at, glancing over the stairs that obviously lead down to a lower level and even closer to the sewers. |

Their treck through the tunnels were certianly not pleasant as she followed Daine through it. Grumpy, Hex the cat followed and chose to ride on Syeena's shoulders, so she didn't have to get too messy with the ground below them. Syeena and Hex both were not pleased by the place. While Syeena just kept her mouth shut and dealt with it. HEx on the other hand... "Oh you GOT to be kidding me?!" She would complain all the way down. "Oh god is that what I think it is. Disguisting!" "Wow... I never thought I would find a rat THAT big, but i bet it taste horrible!" "What smells like wet dog... oh wait that's you," Hex said, poised for Daine. She certainly knew how to amuse herself and irritate people as well with her sassy attitude. As they approached the low hanging crawling, that was indeed a limit for Syeena. It would be worse if the man insisted for HER to crawl first. He could get a good look under her skirt. "You're kidding, right?" she said in a lady-like manner. Still she was not without options. After his little comment of needing a break or ready to get 'dirty', Syeena smirked. "I got news for you, handsome," she said. With a flick of her wrist, she conjured one of her throwing cards and with a flash, she threw it through the pipework! It would graze right by Daine and in a flash-- she vanished and reappeared on the other side instantly. She appeared just in time to catch the card again with an elegant flick of her wrist. She now stood beside Daine, and held the card near his chin. ALmost threateningly but flirtatious. "I can get dirty, but I don't get down on my knees for just anyone," she said before she pulled the card away and stepped onward. However, Hex was forced to crawl through. The poor cat slipped through till the part where her hat got caught in the pipes. She was almost out, but her hat got caught on one of the pipes. The cat quickly got out and went back, taking the hat back with a tug of her mouth and teeth. Free from it, the Cat took flight once again with her black Exceed wings. As Syeena had passed Daine with her casual rebuttle to his words. "You..." the cat said as she was almost nose to nose with Daine. "You better not be trying to mess with us, or I will go catty on you." she replied, flexing her claws to emphasize her point. Then with a lady like "hmph' she turned and fluttered after Syeena, as they searched for the entrance to this hidden black magic area. |

“Would I try and mess with you?” Daine said sarcastically at the pet, he wasn’t a huge cat fan, call it some sort of ingrained age old rivalry, but for this he could keep himself in line and get on with things, he just hoped the cat or at least it’s owner would do the same on their part. “Anyway things are going to get messy, so I hope you don’t mind getting a little dirty.” Daine finished, covering up his small bit of laughter with a sarcastic bark, it seemed ideal as she was looking for someone to find her werewolves. Poetic really. He was still curious about her magic, the fact she had done her little teleportation act made it less likely she was a knight, Daine knew all too well their stance on magic users in their ranks, but an informant, a vigilante or even just some magic imbued weapon could all be on the table, he’d still have to take her through the long way and do a few checks, he was sure going near some crime hot spots and seeing how far he could push her would make her break if she was undercover. “Nice little act by the way, but I doubt you’ll get too far with that alone down here.” Daine laughed at, walking over to the other side of the room and descending the set of steps. It was dark and calmly, he could smell the sewage behind the seal of a large metallic door, it smelt putrid and hot, down below the city was where all the pipes ran, they tended to heat the liquid crap and make it almost inhospitable, a good way to deter people who were poking their heads around. With a large squeal, the door edged open, just enough for one person at a time though, the strange conditions in the bowls of the city meant that metal rusted quickly, many of the main tunnels were well looked after, but the deeper you got, the more dangerous things were. “Mind your step.” Daine informed them as he finished edging around the door and stopped down the three or so foot onto the slippery floor below, the edge was so close to the wall he almost had to hug the stained bricks to make sure he didn’t fall into the dark brown soup next to it, The smell was overwhelming, so much so that he could hardly smell anything anyway, a nice little benefit of having a sensitive nose; but he was sure the girl may vomit. Waiting for her to drop down he would start off against the wall, a short distance until finally reaching a place with enough room to walk around freely. “Now the fun part.” Daine said, handing the girl a spare T-Shit from his back pack, if nothing else she could wrap it around her nose, or use it to carry her cat, either way there would be less complaining he was sure. |

Aaaaaand there it was. The stink of the worst. Syeena felt the urge to gag. HEx covered her nose with her paws as they were faced with "EEEEEWWW! I mean EEEEEWWW!!" the cat meowed, clinging now to Syeena to avoid falling into the goop and mess. Syeena took the shirt and used it around her mouth, cause she was coughing violently over the sudden putrid stink. "Well lets just hurry through it all and hold our breath." Syeena said as she pushed forward. She hopped over different parts, her acrobatic skills to hop over the patches of gunk and keep Hex on her shoulders. After much time they would arrive at the door to the hidden gathering-- voices and growls already heard on the otherside. Syeena would turn to Draine and give him a questionable look. "I will assume this is the place, or any final words of wisdom when we enter there? Otherwise I am just going to do what comes naturally" she explained. Syeena was no stranger to a bunch of people trying to intimidate her. She always respond by putting them in their place-- making them look like idiots before her skill and power. Though Daine had seen her teleporting powers, that was only a glimpse of her true potential. |
