Upon walking down the hallway Miguel saw what appeared to be several butlers and maids around the mansion. They didn't seem out of the ordinary, but every time he looked at one of them in the eyes he didn't see a hint of worry or even happiness. This was evident by the lack of an overall response to Miguel looking at them directly in the eyes, the usual person would look away or get angry, these people looked at Miguel like they were dozing off into space. One of them even smiled creepily at Miguel, evident by how wide the smile was. Upon reaching the door at the end of the hallway, though, there was the same butler from outside. He was supposed to be walking behind them, but the butler ended up in front. How odd. "Hello master, the food is prepared as requested. We have the blood soup with chicken, and 'devil'ed eggs as desert. The other option is 'Hell's taco." Miguel blinked, this seemed like it was too coincidental. Would these people purposely choose to eat these things because of their obvious connection to the cultists? or would it be for other reasons? It was probably the first. Never the less Miguel couldn't help but look around the room and watch in awe. The walls were white, and beyond the word 'clean' could describe. They looked bright, and perfect. There was a chandelier in the middle of the room with lights that illuminated from them like little sparks of light, it was evident that there was no fire in the chandelier, probably light magic. Bellow the clear chandelier was a white table, made of glass with the legs being made of white wood. Miguel walked through the white marble floor and sat on one of the white leather seats. Everything seemed so.. heavenly here. In front of each seat was a black bowl with red soup inside of it, and metal spoons on the side along with a fork and knife. Miguel waited for Beelzebub to sit on his chair, and waited for Syeena/Temperance to do the same. When they were both seated and waiting, Beelzebub spoke to the two. "Let's dine first, then we talk about the arrangements. I'd like to hear more about you, Syeena. How are you liking Raven Tail? You've only been there a month, so I'm interested to know your experience there so far." |

Syeena followed them into the dining room. She had kept up her guard but it was clear upon entering, things were never like what they appeared to be. The room was elegant, and the servants were in attendance, but Syeena was a bit turned off by the meal choice. She didn't want to know if they were indeed just named that or tyhe real deal. They certainly didn't look appealing to her sense of appetite and her glasses didn't cover up that fact. They sat down but Syeena was very unappealed by the devil-theme foods. Blood soup, didn't sound good. She was clearly apprehensive and looked to Miguel, curious to see what he would do. "I do hope its not well real blood soup, eh he he..." she said nervously, after hearing what the entrees were. "Eh I may have to pass. I am sort of on a diet..." She was trying to back out from actually eating. After all they did come here for business in the end. After getting over the shock of the squemish reaction to the food, Syeena answered the duke's questions. She considered the best means to actually answer. At first she thought she could suck up and say it was great, but in truth there was a reason why she didn't choose joining Raven Tail. While it appealed to her sense of fun in style, Raven Tail was a sort of mafia who exploited people and sucked them dry-- even those who couldn't afford to do so. She never liked the idea of people taking advantage of the weaker ones. It was not her style and why she didn't stick with them. But the best story was the truth. "Well, I like their style. It has parts of it I don't like of course, but they are a fair bunch to stick with," she said casually, readjusting her glasses. "As long as they dont tell me how to do my job, I am cool being with them." she said. She was unsure how this Beelzebub would respond to her reaction to Raven Tail, but it was worth a shot. The greatest cover is one that had more truth than lies. |
