Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

They had ran into the cathedral, being roughly no bigger than a three story building with its high ceilings and awnings. The general space was roughly 50 meters wide and long for the cathedral, marked with the series of benches, holy statues and plateus. As Varriden would think, it probably wouldn't hold long with just the barrings. So it was only smart to keep stacking things. "Hurry, barricade it !" Syeena said as she quickly got to the benches. Luckily they were not bolted down so they could drag them against the door. Already they began to pound on it and try to break it down!

"I hate Werewolves!" Hex meowed in an upset tone, looking at the door. They had done all they could to bar the door but it would only be a matter of time till they get in.

The wood of the door was starting to splinter as they were trying to tear their way inside. The growls and sounds were starting to grow louder. Though someone in Syeena's position would very well panic-- she didn't. She was nervous but kept quiet and calm.

However it was not long till something happened. The glass above them smashed-- a few of the werewolves broke in from the roof's stain glass windows and three werewolves came jumping down! ONe of them eyed Syeena with a hungry look. "Hello darlin! Remember me?!"

At first she couldn't place it, but soon the scratch marks on the wolf's face rung a bell. "WAH!! its the pervy stalker from the woods! So they all were in on this!" Hex declared.

It was at that time the door came busting down-- and what fraction of the door was broken, one by one more werewolves began to enter the church. Slowly they were being surrounded. "I don't suppose you can fight , Varriden or we will be dog kibble!" Syeena warned!

With vicious and hungry howls, they charged with claws to attack! Hex quickly grew her black Exceed wings and took flight, flying high and getting out of range. Syeena quickly moved and went for the benches for cover.

Varriden nodded, moving over to one of the nearby pews and pushing it, the wood groaning as it was scraped along the stone floor, so that it was against the door proper, taking a moment to be sure to push both sides up against the wall, serving as an extra bar for the door, as they opened inward, and would have to push the heavy pew aside along with the door itself in order to get inside. Hex was near the door, sounding upset. "Yeah, I don't think they've got alot of fans, and certainly not in this town, at least. Or perhaps alot of fans, depending on how you look at it. Anyway, get away from the door, Hex, otherwise you'll get barreled over if they get inside." Varriden said, moving to grab an unlit candle stand on a long brass rod, shaking the candles out before jamming it under the bar across the door, setting the base into one of the grooves in the tiles - wouldn't hold back much, but they'd have to use that much more strength to get the door open from outside.

The door jarred suddenly as something hit it from the other side - presumably one of the werewolves, if not the big bad priest wolf himself. Another hit, and there was the sound of wood splintering, though nothing was visible on their side just yet, but it was clear that the wood of the door wouldn't last long. "Great, most churches have doors so heavy you need two hands just to open one side of them, and we get trapped inside the one church that went with the lowest bidder when hiring someone to craft the doors." Varriden said with a sigh, pulling his greatsword off his back and wielding it in a combat stance with both hands, facing the door.

Turns out the werewolves were smarted than he'd first given them credit for - there was the sound of glass shattering, and Varriden turned to see shaggy figures flying in through the broken remains of the upper windows. And they can climb brick walls, lovely, Varriden thought with sarcasm, whipping around to face the new threat - the door was still in danger of giving out, but it was holding for the moment. One of the werewolves spoke - again, smarter than Varriden gave them credit for - and asked Syeena if she remembered him, and Syeena looked as confused as Varriden was. Then they both noticed the scratches on his muzzle - the marks from Hex's claws, meaning he was the one from the woods!

Behind him, the door burst open just as Syeena asked if he could fight. "Even if I couldn't, not much of a choice at this point, is there?" Varriden said, shifting as if to lower his center of gravity, and an earth-colored circle of magic formed under Varriden, and within the time it took to take a breath, stone crept up Varriden's form, turning into an armor of spiked rocks as he ran at the ones who'd rushed in the door, shoulder-tackling the first one before slashing the second across the upper arm, blade cutting through the fur and leaving blood in its wake.

The werewolves were coming in full force through the roof and the door and soon they found themselves surrounded. As Varriden fought them off with his sword and an impressive use of magic to harden his defense, he was able to hold his own. Syeena 'appeared' to be having trouble.

She had jumped onto the benches and was running across them, but the wolves moved fast. They soon had her surrounded. Claws went flying as she struggled to get around them, but was proving dangerous! She would duck and dive away but the claws would miss briefly-- nicking her clothing and leaving them in tatters! They were ravenous as they now tried to jump on the defenseless girl. She looked up in fright, her glasses containing her surprise as she knelt there, her shirt torn and jeans torn up like a 'street style'.

"Dog pile!!" they shouted and jumped onto her, attempting to grab her. "Don't worry! We won't kill you -- yet!" the werewolf from earlier spoke, growled as he jumped on.

Slam!! They fell and tangled to one another-- but soon they argued and told them to get off one another. As they got up... they looked to discover she was not there! She should of been but she was not, as if she vanished into thin air!

"Wha.... where the hell she go?!" another wolf growled angrily.

"Oh boys. Looking for me?" a voice spoke.

Looking up, everyone, Varriden included, could see Syeena now standing on the chandelier. She had a hand on on the chain and her feet firm to the rig of the hanging lamp that hung from the top of the ceiling. Somehow she had moved in the blink of an eye from the ground to the chandelier. Among the place, was a card-- that she had moved to.

Her clothing was in tatters, leaving her figure exposed more without the unflattering attire she had on before. But something was different. Aside the clothing change, her very attitude had changed. "Such naughty dogs, you are, " Syeena said as her glasses fell to the floor with a clatter. As she opened her eyes, they could see her eyes no longer obscured by the glasses, revealing an iron resolve and smoldering confidence. "Look what you have done to my outfit. Very cheeky..."

This raised questions no doubt for Varriden-- as well as the other dogs. Syeena appeared to be a shy, almost ditsy reporter. But now it appeared she had become a completely different person altogether! Was it an act, or something more?!

The glint of seriousness in her eye informed her enemies she was far from a scared little girl. "Time to teach you some manners..." As she said that, a magical card came floating down before her. Swinging with the chain of the chandelier, she wound around and attempted to grasp the card. "PERSONA!!"

She shattered the card with a gesture, and the remaining tatters of her clothing were swept away by a flare of sparkling lights! Light and an array of strange cards fluttered around her, obscuring her now naked body in a classy way that left some things to the imagination. Naturally the foolish werewolves looked on with lustful gazes as Syeena apparently was stripped naked by her magic! However, in that brief moment and show-off motion of her swinging on the chandelier, her form changed!

The lights faded and Syeena was now in her true form-- wearing the black and orange robes of a sorceress. They were styled in such a way they held mysticism but allowed mobility and flexibility. Black and orange colors adorned her as she wore a top and short cloak worn back. She wore a skirt with the back being longer, and her legs and naval exposed a bit. She wore long, finger-less gloves as well.

As she now stood upon the chandelier, she stood now poised and intimidating before them. However the feature that Varriden would probably think most interesting-- was the violet tattoo marking on her left thigh! The symbol of the strange heart-shape on her thigh and it was not some typical 'sexy' tattoo!

It was the logo for Grimore Heart. She was a witch from Grimore Heart!!

"GET THEM!!" the wolves shouted, insisting to press their attacks! From the vantage points some where higher up in the chapel, they lunged to get onto the large hanging lamp, attempting to grab her.

Syeena didn't break a sweat as she jumped up from the structure, grabbed the chain and swung herself forward! She slammed a painful kick into the head of one wolf, and spun to kick another, pushing him off. As she stopped, she hooked her legs to the chain and leaned back, avoiding another swipe of a wolf's claw, before she grabbed the chandelier and swung over, using it like a trapeze!

She made the whole chandelier sway, along with the wolves now on top of it. She flipped and let go, spinning in the air! As she did this, she waved her hands-- and magical tarot cards appeared! All of them had backs with a starry background and bearing the Grimore Heart logo as well. Grasping them, she threw a pair of the cards at the werewolves, cutting and slicing into them from range!

The werewolf Varriden slashed stumbled back, clutching its arm for a moment, then howled in rage and leapt at Varriden, Varriden ducking and belting the werewolf in the gut with a stone-covered fist, the werewolf dropping to the floor. A third werewolf leapt at Varriden over the body of his companion, Varriden sidestepping and swinging his free fist backward to clock the werewolf upside the back of the head, the blow stunning the werewolf some as it stumbled and collapsed. A moment later, it tried to struggle back to its feet - er, paws - only to have Varriden whack it over the head with the hilt of his greatsword. Tougher than I thought, Varriden mused. They might have been normal villagers, but this werewolf curse has increased their endurance and strength considerably.

Which reminded Varriden of a point he probably should have brought up before now. Turning to face Syeena, he yelled. "Hey, be sure you don't kill any of them! Remember, they're just under the main werewolf's curse, otherwise they're just normal humans!"

The scene he saw, however, was Syeena being overpowered by the werewolves who had burst in through the windows. Shit, Varriden thought, running towards Syeena while activating his Decipher - he didn't know what kind of magic she had, as she hadn't used any yet, but he wanted to be sure what was going on in that dogpile. A moment later there was a faint flash of magic within the pileup, and suddenly the werewolves began arguing with each other. Varriden himself had almost missed it, but his Decipher tech hadn't. Teleportation, he thought, glancing up to where Syeena was as she spoke. Handy.

Then she dropped her glasses to the floor, and began acting very differently that she was before. I'm beginning to see how she can tame a pet as stubborn as Hex, Varriden thought awkwardly. That personality is entirely unruffled by her situation.

It grew more awkward as she shattered some kind of card in mid-air, Varriden averting his eyes as soon as he realized the transformation left her temporarily nude. I've gotten mixed up with a weird one this time, he thought. Who strips to transform?!

Thankfully, the werewolves were also too busy staring to bother attacking Varriden, so when the light finally faded, Varriden waited a moment, then risked a small glance - she was decent now, though still with less clothes than her previous attire, but it beat her swinging from the chandelier in her birthday suit. Varriden was about to say that it wasn't the right place for an act like that, when he noticed a tattoo on her thigh - one he recognized. Grimoire Heart. Syeena was a dark mage!

She seemed adept enough, though, swinging to and fro on the chandelier as she belted out blows to the werewolves, before hopping off it onto the nearby mantle near the ceiling and making throwing out cards out of thin air with another spell to slice at the werewolves from a distance, but Varriden had a better idea. Leaning back - and elbowing the first werewolf in the gut, who had gotten back up from his shoulder tackle - he tossed his greatsword a foot in the air, catching it halfway down the blade with his stone-protected hand, holding it like a spear, before hurling it upward - not at the werewolves, but at the chain.

The blade snapped through the chandelier chain and sent it - and all the werewolves who had leapt upon it to get at Syeena - on an express ride to the floor, where they crashed into a few left over from the pile that had originally tried to get the girl.

The ones that were conscious after the fall or had avoided being hit by the falling chandelier now were slowly circling Varriden. "Bad move. Syeena, stay up there for a moment!" Varriden said. She'll be in range, otherwise, he thought, crossing his arms before flinging them outward the rock armor of his crunching together for a moment, before exploding in every direction in the form of sharp rock fragments, causing howls of pain through the hall as the rock pieces bit into the werewolf horde. Varriden's sword clanged back to earth a moment later, landing on its side. Varriden picked it back up, making a 'tch' noise. Hope that didn't dull the edge, landing like that, he thought.

Syeena had flipped through the air and while still upside down, caught the reliefs on the wall. She hung from it and flipped herself up with a swing. She watched as it came crashing down with the werewolves, along with Varriden's warning to NOT kill them. Syeena could only assume they were in fact being manipulated by the curse of the wolf. It was possible they were in fact just acting from that influence. Still, Syeena looked at Varriden. "Oh, so he is one of THOSE types, hm?" she sighed to herself as she stood on the statue head of the relief. "I don't usually play that way... but for you, I'll be gentle," she said with a bit of a flirtatious edge.

Meanwhile down near the ground, Hex was having her paws full as well as three wolves tried to box her to a wall. She had her wings up and was flying about but was still cornered. "Let's get the cat! Easy pickings!" one wolf said, lunging to catch the cat.

However, Hex weaved out of the wolf's grab for her, rolled in the air and fluttered at the other two. As the second one was about to attack, she let her paws glow with magic. "JINX!!" she shouted and with that, released a flurry of halloween symbols and lights upon the second wolf. He swatted at the enchantment, like a flurry of insects buzzing around him. What he didn't know it was a small controlled dose of bad luck. As he lunged once more to grab the cat, he crashed into the third wolf, missing Hex by a whisker!

The two were tied up with one another and ssoon crashed into the first, making a rather humiliating turn of events as Hex now hovered above them. "THis is why cats rule and dogs drool," Hex said in a sassy tone and flew away from them.

Syeena was not one to stay in one place long as she used her created cards and threw them. Though she promised to not kill them to Varriden, she didn't make it easy. Her attacks were precise, aiming for legs, hindquarters, and basic places to stun them as best as she could, but that would only slow them down as they tried to get at her.

Once again they tried to gang up on her and lunge-- however, as they did, she vanished in a flash before their eyes. The end result was them slamming into each other, knocking heads and tangling up their limbs.

Syeena returned in a flash of light beside one of her previously thrown cards, now back on the ground floor. As she rose up, light glowed around her hands and she produced new cards, exquipting some from her arsenal via magic.

As she did this-- she added more magic to the mix. As Varriden could see nearby, her cards suddenly began to glow a strange shade of violet. Darkness Magic coated her cards, radiating a bewitching aura. With a shout, she threw the cards forward, and upon impact to the ground, they released dark pulses, easily repelling the werewolves.

"The fun's just getting started, boys," Syeena said, flashing a card at them to emphase she had more tricks up her sleeve.

Syeena, thankfully, agreed to Varriden's request to not kill them without complaint, even if it did have an odd wording about it. "Fine, as long as you only hurt them and nothing more than that - the town needs saving, not slaughtering." Varriden reminded her.

Varriden's stone shrapnel barrage had floored a great deal of the werewolves, but still more remained who had been too far back to hit with that attack. A few had gone after Hex, but had as much success as the ones who'd gone after her owner - the werewolf that got close enough to rake its claws towards the cat fell backwards into its buddies with a well-placed projectile spell. I'm beginning to wonder if Syeena is rubbing off on Hex, or if Hex is rubbing off on Syeena, Varriden thought mildly. Their personalities have far too many parallels for it to be coincidence. At least Syeena's current personality, anyway.

Syeena was keeping her promise to Varriden, not killing any of the werewolves, but she wasn't pulling punches, either, striking their limbs with stinging shots from her cards before warping back to the floor, then coating her cards in some kind of darkness before casting them out, causing disruptions amongst the werewolves that sent them tumbling. Darkness magic...interesting. She's really playing up the 'witch' role, Varriden thought. Wouldn't be surprised if she pulled out a broom at this point.

"My magic needs a bit of downtime, but this might add some extra sting in the meantime," Varriden said, casting a hand towards Syeena, and a lightning rune soared across the distance and attached itself to Syeena's shoulder, transferring knowledge of a spell to her.

Syeena was curious as she was given the power by Varriden, which felt like a rush to her system as her cards now glowed with renewed energy-- not unlike the ones she had used for her cards just moments ago that dealt darkness damage. "Thanks" she replied, and threw the cards once more.

The werewolves were going down but still a few remained, and now gunned to go after Syeena. She was drawing the most attention... and probably due to her appearance and allure to stupid horny werewolves. As she saw they were coming, Syeena drew another card that fluttered in the air! "Persona!!" she shouted and smashed the card. In a flurry of cards and light, her gear changed to reveal she now wore a blue outfit with runes on it with a cowl and hood. With a smirk, she grabbed the hood with one hand and pulled it over her head. Just as the wolves had been on top of her-- she vanished and they went crashing into one another once more.

Syeena had become invisible, and had suddenly appeared in the center of the room. She waited in the same robes, as if egging them on. "COme on you can do better than that?" she said , teasing all the same.

Syeena thanked Varriden for the loan of the magic before using it to launch more cards into the werewolves' ranks. They were certainly thinning out their numbers a bit, but for every werewolf that fell to the floor, two more scrambled over it to attack them. Just how many people were morphed into these things when the curse took effect? Varriden thought. Even for a full town, there's alot of werewolf-transformed people here.

Syeena drew another card, but this one wasn't for throwing, it seemed as it shattered with a word from the mage girl, covering her in a robe, one that apparently shared her ability to teleport, as once again, a group of werewolves lunging for her found themselves lunging at nothing and collapsing in a furry heap on the cathedral floorboards. She's got some interesting abilities, Varriden thought.

Varriden's magic wasn't up and running just yet, so he ran over and belted the first werewolf to rise from the pile of ones that had missed attacking Syeena across the face with the flat of his greatsword, knocking it out. We need to find a way to make sure this curse is broken, or we might be fighting these things until the sun rises, Varriden thought.

Varriden and the other wolves could see Syeena now in the center and they jumped on her again. The poor brainless wolves never learned as Syeena stood there waiting. However it looked as if she was indeed going to be hit. However-- they no more touched her before they dog pilled once again, and the form of Syeena shattering into several shards of light. Near the ground, one of the cards by it was a picture of "The Moon" -- representing illusion and mirages.

Syeena had created a duplicate of herself to fool the wolves, and once more causing them all to gether in one place. At that moment, she appeared right next to Hex and Varriden-- removing her hood and de-cloaking her invisibiltity. ANd at last she had one more card to play. At their feet also was the the other card, The Emperor... one she used for fire attacks.

She raised a hand and with it, snapped her fingers. KABOOM!! The explosion rumbled about the room. Of course, the wolves would be scatterd and tossed about but Syeena had shown SOME restraint. It wasn't enough to kill them but it certainly took the fight out of them.

Syeena turned to Varriden-- who she figured would give her a disapproval. He had asked her to show restraint, and she just gave him a sarcastic look. "What? I held back. " she said as she stroke a lock of hair behind her ear.

Lucky for them, they had subdued the lesser werewolves. They were knocked out by both Varriden's efforts and Syeena's explosion.

Turning with a smirk on her face, Hex looked to the cathedral entrance. "Well, that just leaves the alpha of the pack, doesn't it?" Syeena said as she drew her gaze to the lead werewolf-- the priest who had been waiting on them. He was much likely the true culprit, a demon cultist or demon himself.

The wolf priest growled as an aura of darkness radiated off him. "HELL HOUNDS!!" he howled, and from the black aura around him, a pack of black wolves appeared from the shadows, attempting to attack them both!

Syeena pulled another fast one on the werewolves - they attempted to dogpile on her once again - you'd think they would have learned by now, Varriden thought briefly - and Syeena's form shattered into a hundred fragments of light - a illusion, but no less successful than the earlier teleport had been. After appearing next to Varriden, she snapped her fingers and the place where the werewolves were piled up exploded, sending up a firey cloud as the explosion's sound echoed through the confined space.

Varriden shot Syeena an annoyed look. "Then when we've turned them back to normal, YOU can be the one who explains to them why they're covered in burn wounds." he replied. "I slashed them, yes, but more to make them back off than cut them down."

Still, while he has issues with the methods, he couldn't argue the results - the werewolves were finally down for the count, leaving only the main werewolf priest himself to deal with - hopefully defeating him would put an end to this mess. "Indeed it does," Varriden said, turning to face the remaining threat.

The priest howled and a pack of shadow-like wolves appeared - 'hell hounds' apparently - and rushed at the duo. Varriden tossed his sword into the air, a steel-gray circle of magic appearing underneath him once again - but instead of stone, steel raced across his form this time, coating him in a full-body armor, including helmet and faceplate. Varriden caught his sword by the handle as it came down, taking a sideways slash at the first wolf.
