Hex was having the time of her life as she nibbled on the spare bread that Emi had given her. She had been petted and pampered. While Syeena did have moments like this with Syeena, her own sass sort of ruined her chances. Emi was so sweet and a bit oblivious to Hex's nature, that it made her easy to get along with. With her goodbye, Hex gave a grateful meow and watches as the fox girl left. She was now off to her own buisnless, and Agil only regardgil dided her briefly, a bit shocked by Syeena's resolve to infiltrate the demon cult. Posing as an ally and to just put herself in danger. "You realize you are walking right into the lion's den," he warned her. Syeena nodded to him. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained," she replied with a smirk. Agil didn't like the idea. He was against it, but he knew when Syeena had her mind on something it was impossible to get her to let go. Any attempts to sway her turned into rebellion that she would find sneaky ways to get around it. "Fine... I wont stop you, but you better be careful. " Syeena just smiled and waved at Agil. She would tell him what he needed to know soon enough. But right now she was going to follow the lead she had -- and join the cultists. If nothing else-- to teach them a lesson they wouldn't forget. |

Getting out of the bar, Emi looked around the place, only to not see a single person. Knowing she was alone, Emi started doing some stretching. Ok, Emi was finally fed, warmed up and ready to punch some cultist ass, like she had done before in Wujin Valley. Of course that time she was called in by Alonne who was pretty sure of where the cultists where and they only needed to pin point the location. However, Emi was alone this time and she also had no idea where to start searching for the cultists. The fact that she was in such a big city didn't help either, not to mention that there were no certainties about the cultists being hidden inside the city. They could just be in a shack two feet from the city's walls and Emi wouldn't know about it... well, actually Emi searched the walls around the city just to be sure this wouldn't be the case. "I wonder if I should have gathered some information in that bar.", Emi thought to herself, but then she remembered, "Wait a second! Those guys previously... they were pretty evil, trying to eat a cat and all, so they might know where I can look." Emi's ears moved around as if trying to find a sound that could tell her which way they went, but she couldn't. It was at times like this that she wished her hears were actually as sensible as the ones of a real fox, but she did not have the time right now to complain with herself. She could use her tracking skills, but this was a city so it would be a lot harder to find a track to follow in this hard, flora free environment. Still, Emi wasn't going to back down now, specially since she still wanted to punch that one guys for even talking about eating a cat. Emi could not forgive him. |

Realizing Syeena was leaving, Hex hopped off her stool and took flight with her black wings. "Later, Agil," Hex snickered and flew off with Syeena. Syeena was just about to leave when Agil held out a voice. "Wait a minute! If you insist on going, you better go prepared," he said. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a card. He then threw it towards Syeena, who caught it skillfully. She looked at the card, and almost gasped. It was the Judgment Tarot card. It was a part of her magic but as she was right now, she couldn't afford to buy it. "You die, and I lose my best customer. So consider that a lone. Its a temporary card, good for a one time use. If you get in too deep, that should help." he said, trying to keep his cool. Turning around, Syeena smiled at him. "Agil, your an angel, you know that?" she said with an obvious pun intended, considering Agil was actually more demon than anything else. "Thanks, hon," With that, she took the card and blew him a kiss with it, and promptly left with Hex nearby. It was now early evening as the street lamps had just came on, and the casino lights were now flashing brightly in Trillium. However, following the directions of the flyer she had, and was following the instructions. It led to an allyway between several buildings. obviously, it was not for someone to just see them from anywhere. They wanted any meet and greets to be in secret. Syeena had her hood up on her outfit, obscuring her face for a while as Hex rode on her shoulder. They soon entered a clearing, where they found a familiar face-- the shaded gentlemen who had been harassing Agil. Realizing it was him, Syeena kept a neutral expression and kept her cool. Hearing them, the man turned around, his yellow eyes shining from behind his shades. "Well, I certainly am glad to see you, sweetheart. I knew you were someone who couldn't keep away from a good deal," he replied. Syeena continued forward and stopping before the man at a safe distance. "Let's just say I am interested to see what details are left unanswered. After all, as I said-- I rather talk to your boss, since you can't stop looking at my legs," Syeena said with a sharp tone, clearly seeing how the demon had a look of lust on his face. Not that she blamed him but she rather talk to one of the cultests that were a bit more gentlemanly. "And that is why I am here as well," a voice came from a nearby alley. Syeena turned to find a rather muscular but refined man approach. He stood a head taller than Syeena, with jet black hair like her own. He wore a suit much the other with a black tie and looked like he could run one of the casinos. Perhaps he was. It was hard at this point if he was a demon or one of the cultists. As he entered the clearing, Syeena could see his features more clearly, as he had a strong jaw and features, followed but a sharp cut black beard. A bit older than Syeena but the type of man she could easily respect... At least it would of been the case if he wasn't involved with the cult. "Pardon my associate," he said, approaching them. "He can let his passions run away with him, but he told me what happened. I figure it would be best if I did oversee new recruits myself." Syeena continued to observe the man, her attention leaving Alastor. THe man came over and smiled at Syeena. "I am Augus, an arch ascendant to the order." "Call me Temperance," Syeena said, looking at him as if trying to make up her mind. She was not a fool to give her full name to the cult, or risk compromising her identity to the enemy. "Nice to meet you." The man gave her a kind look and approached her. To her surprise, he bowed his head down as he took her hand and like a prince from a storybook kissed her hand gently. Syeena couldn't resist a smirk, finding the gesture making her heart flutter. "A pleasure to meet you, miss. It is always welcomed for such an extraordinary young woman to show interest in our cause." It was a kind gesture but anything for the cult to get new members it seems. Still she would listen to what he had to say. But the way that Alastor clammed up from his usual attitude, it meant this man had leverage over the other. The boss, as she hoped to meet. |

Emi needed to find some clue to track down the cultists' hideout, or at least that was she was telling herself for last hour, as now was already dark and she still had yet to find anything. She wasn't about to give up just yet tho, she remembered pretty well what happened last year during the massive invasion, and although she was not directly involved, there was still somethings that she was unable to not get involved with. And those things are what Emi doesn't want to see repeated again... Ever. But how would she find the cultists in the city? Last time, and only time, she had to deal with them was in a valley far from everything and in some old ruins at that. She was pretty sure that kind of reference was not going to help her out in this situation, not to mention that the way she dealt with the cultists last time isn't exactly something that should be repeated inside the city's walls, or at least if the plan does not involve blowing up half the city along with the hideout that is. "Ohhh! Why can't I find anything? DX", cried Emi exasperated. Emi was a good tracker... ok not good, decent tracker, but that was in a forest or some woods, or somewhere with organic stuff that would allow tracking, not stone pavement. This required a different kind of tracking, one that Emi wasn't particularly good at. Information tracking. People would have noticed something strange in their own city right? They would maybe be able to give her some useful information. But would anyone take a girl with fox ears and tail seriously? Hardly, plus her personality made that even harder. But has Emi was starting to feel like this wouldn't amount to anything, she spotted a few figures in the distance near a building. She couldn't recognize them at all but they were suspicious. Emi decided to stay at a safe distance, and once they moved she would follow. |

After the gentlemenly greeting from the handsome cultist boss, Syeena still kept her composure. She had never removed the hood from her attire, wanting to keep it on for the most part. Even that, she got the impression the boss could see her face regardless. "Pardon my asking, but are you human or demon?" Syeena asked, feeling Hex knead her shoulder as the cat kept quiet on there. The man smirked at the question. "Half, actually. " he replied, which did in fact peek Syeena's interest. "While rare there is more of us than you think." Syeena shrugged. The only half-demon Syeena knew was Agil-- with the exception of Rhevas from Grimore Heart if you could call him a demon. "Who knew? " she replied. "Anyway, I am curious as to why such a lovely member of Grimore Heart would be interested in our organization," The man said, slowly pacing around the clearing with his arms behind his back. "Don't get me wrong. We are very welcoming of all types with their own reasons. Still, it is rare as no one from your guild has shown interest before. " Syeena gave a causal smirk to the man. "Let's just say I have had previous dealings with demons," she replied. The man arched a brow at her. "You have dealt your soul to them before?" he asked, a hint of humor in his tone. Syeena just scoffed the question, turning her nose away from it. "Heh, so far no demon can offer me anything worth giving my soul over," she replied. "A woman with principal. I approve," Augus said, smiling. "Well... I see no reason for one of Grimore Heart to be denied, but know there are some things in our organization that will require demonstrations of your commitment." And there it was. Syeena knew it wouldn't be easy to earn their trust. She would have to prove herself worthy to join the cult somehow. However, she planned to be sneaky about it all the same. |

Emi could barely see the group in front of her, but no matter how one looked at it, people gathering at this time of the day. Or night? Point is, there is no way this group wouldn't be suspicious, right? Yeah, that was Emi's opinion too. No way normal people would group around at this time for anything other than plan something... ok, it did have to be anything bad, but from the way they were moving around in the shadows, it couldn't be anything but something illegal. It could even be a group of cultists. "*Gasp* I might have gotten a lucky break after all! O:" Emi was excited, this was the opportunity she had been expecting. All she needed to do was wait for this group to lead her to their hideout, and them BAM, she would fall on them like a predator on its prey. Oh, she couldn't wait for it to happen, Emi could imagine the chaos that ensued after in her mind. She punching the cultists in the face, and then a demon showing up only to get a well placed kick in the groins. Oh, how Emi would love to see its face when that happened. Back to reality, Emi needed to make sure she wasn't spotted, but at the same time she could not allow this group to escape her sight. This would be tricky since its was really dark already, and other than the dark figures, Emi could barely see the group itself. She could tell there was a large person, and something that resembled a pet as well, but from this distance she couldn't see the who, or what they were considering the fact that there could be demons involved. "So now it's a waiting game. >:)", Emi thought to herself, "Oh Balthazar, how I hate those! =_=' " Edited by LibertyGear, Mar 16 2015, 10:27 PM.

"I be happy to talk business," Syeena said, clearly trying to hear more what AUgus had to say. She had now pretty much ignored Alastor. It was clear he was a grunt next to this man, so she kept her attention on him. Hex kept quiet, and kept close to Syeena. THe cat knew to keep quiet while near the cult-- at least when they were not about to try and do something mean or nasty to her personally. "But perhaps we can talk about this somewhere private?" she asked. "Of course," the man said as he led the way, gesturing with his hand. "I know the perfect place for us to talk in a far more comfortably," With that, he led them out of the alley way. Not about to refuse just so soon, Syeena followed the man. They left back to the streets and they followed him, leading to a nearby casino of Trillium-- which ironically was called the Devil's Next. The outside of the establishment was made with a small demon illustration in a suit, followed by a die in one hand and gold in another. Inside, it was like any other casino. Money jingled everywhere as people played the slots, played cards, gambled, and had a good time with show, food and drink. Syeena did like these kinds of places to let loose and have a good time. But it still raised the question why he brought her there. Augus soon had them reach a nearby lounge overlooking the casino and sat down at one of the booths. He welcomed her to sit down as well, as Alastor was now elsewhere, keeping an eye on things. "We can discuss our buisness here. Don't worry... this casino is part of our organization. We can talk freely here, and no one will bother us. Now, what can you provide us to help our cause?" he asked Syeena. |

Emi waited and waited and waited some more. to the point she was about to lose her patience, when suddenly the group began to move. About time something happened, or else Emi would have just ran in and used brute force to get the location of the cultist hideout... you know... if it is a groups of cultists she is following. It would be embarrassing to attack a group of normal people that was just gathering after hours, right? Anyway, now that the group was moving, they would lead Emi to their hideout, where she would then start wreaking havoc. The group didn't walk for long, in fact, they were going to a building that was nearby, which Emi would have never even considered to look in before. A casino, and a big one at that. This made Emi wonder if they were actually cultists after all. But the demon drawn at the entrance also made Emi suspect this was a front. And a good one at that, as usually no one would consider looking for a demon worshiping cultists in a place as packed with people as this. This raised another problem. How was Emi supposed to follow the group without being seen now? Answer? The ventilation system of course. A building this big needs to have a good ventilation system, all Emi needs to do is find an entry point and problem solved... well almost, since she would still need to find the group on the inside. Walking around the building, Emi found a place she could use to get it. It was guarded but by only one person, so it shouldn't be a problem, Emi can just sneak around by climbing the wall and moving to the entry point in the the roof. Emi follows this plan to the letter, and everything goes perfectly fine. Well, Emi dropped the the metal grid of the vent on top of the guard, knocking him out, but considering that no one noticed that, it was ok. Now that Emi was inside the casino, all she needed to do was re-encounter the group, and discover the true location... "Ah crap! -_-", thought Emi when she realized she never actually saw who or what the group was. Edited by LibertyGear, Mar 19 2015, 02:26 PM.

Strangely for Emi, the path of the vents went in many directions. One way led her to the actual casino where Syeena was talking with the Augus man from before... however she could actually sneak lower into the depths of the building, going down. If she did, she would find that it lead to a gothic looking series of large rooms-- the cult headquarters where people gathered to truly revel in the demonic arts. It would depend where she went. Up in the casino, Syeena and Augus were talking while Hex waited patiently for Syeena. While the cat knew Syeena's true motives, the cat made sure to keep quiet and behave herself-- a rarity for her. "I see... I am glad to hear you have some experience with demons after all. I heard rumors of the Umbra Witches," Augus said, repeating some of the details Syeena had shared. The young woman rested with her legs crossed and resting lesisurely as the two shared drinks. "You would indeed be an asset, and I think having hell on your side might help with your own endeavors?" he asked, trying to read more into Syeena's person. Syeena took a sip and put the rest down. "My desires a bit more personal... and with my own means to get. But I work to keep a good repour with demons since they work with my clan s0,"she explained. Augus smiled. "Then I see no reason to keep you out of our loop. I welcome you. " he said, raising his glass. Syeena could only imagine what he would show him next, but the minor parts were over. She had interested him and earned a bit of trust. Now was her time to really get an inside scoup of the enemy. |

Emi was annoyed by the fact that her plan had such a big flaw as not having an actual clue on how the group looked like was seriously make her chances of finding them pretty low. But then again she might simply find a new group that looks suspicious, it doesn't necessarily need to be the same. That thought made Emi more optimist about the possibility of kicking some cultist ass soon enough. All she needed to do was crawl thru the vents and find somewhere she could look inside the casino from. Speaking of which, these vents were really well made, they didn't budge under her weight, not that Emi was heavy mind you, and made no sound what so ever. It was nice for Emi who was sneaking in, but then again, she couldn't hear much from the outside so it was hard to know if she was near a central area of the casino or just some side staff corridor. It was really dark as well, she could barely see where she was going. "It would be silly if I fell down a hole or something. XD", Emi thought to herself, in the exact moment her hand failed to find solid ground, "Wh-? 'O_O" Emi was so surprised that she failed to balance herself in time, resulting in her falling down the vertical section of the vents. In fact, she was caught completely off guard by the fact that the vents actually led down like that, to a point that by the time she finally reacted, after multiple whys and hows ran thru her mind, by extending her arms and legs to the vent walls to try and stop the fall, all she managed to do was slow it down before crashing head first on the end of the shaft, leaving her upside down in an awkward position. Luckily no one saw her in there. Recovering from the fall, and with a massive bump on her head, Emi pressed forwards, suppressing the tears of her embarrassment. She had fallen for quite a long time, too long for this to be the floor level of the casino. Emi imagined this was somewhere underground. Looking for an opening, Emi managed to catch a peek at a room which looked nothing like one of a casino. It did fit something one would expect from a ritualistic group. Emi had found the cultists hideout for sure. Now she needed to find a way to wreck the place. And considering they were in a city, and in a casino filled with civilians, blowing the place sky high like last time was out of the question. Maybe if she looked around for a while...
