Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

The snake spat into the waters of the sewer and was about to slither out of the cistern, he had a world to explore after all, but that was when he heard Cyrus say how it'd be a bad idea to leave. The snake suddenly snapped and within the space of a millisecond was mere centimeters away from the knight's face hissing angrily. It was clear the this giant over grown demon snake did not like the idea of being forced to remain in these sewers for another moment and with good reason; it stunk worse than a weasel in a garbage dump and it wasn't exactly the nicest location to live. "I'd like to see people try." It was pretty clear that this snake wasn't going to stay here regardless of the perils of the outside world and that was a risk as the snake quite clearly wouldn't go down without a fight; god knows how powerful and dangerous this giant snake was after all.

Watching the exchange between Cyrus and the demon snake Xiayu pondered what solution would be possible and work for both sides. Obviously Cyrus was worried about the snake being harmed or imprisoned again, of course there may be an ulterior motive, and that meant for Cyrus to be appeased the snake needed to be protected. Now for the snake he wanted to be free and just explore the world or so he said as for all anybody knew it could be a lie. For the snake to be happy he would need his freedom. It was truly predicament but then an answer popped into Xiayu's mind; it was the simplest thing! The knights could just protect the demon and act as a liaison with the people of Oshibana Town! Yes the knights could easily explain how the snake demon was being framed and worked to find the real culprit who at this point was most likely the golem. So long as the knights presented the real culprit it would all work out!

"I've an idea. Cyrus if we find the real culprit and bring him to justice then you get the knight's assistance with this matter we can present our new friend here to the people of Oshibana town and explain he helped us. Surely if we present the real culprit and have the knights around to act as liaisons then maybe the people wouldn't mind the snake hanging around their town?" The half-snake had to admit it was an incredibly risky idea but at the end of the day she couldn't see any other solution. This deal working rested on the shoulders of Cyrus, the Knights of Fiore, the Snake demon as well as presenting the real culprit. The snake hissed and paused contemplating such an offer. While he didn't like being forced into deals he easily saw how this deal would in fact be the best one for him; it provided him freedom and would keep people from interfering in his business. "Yesss..yess that would work..." The snake agreed hoping that Cyrus and the Knights would also agree to this idea of Xiayu's making.

Cyrus did not flinch when the snake snapped at his face, he merely raised an eyebrow in response.

The creature was far more stubborn about all of this than Cyrus would have liked, the knight couldn't help but frown at the envenomed face staring at it in a mixture of rage and anger. The blond could fully understand how the creature wanted to be free- who wanted to be stuck down here in some godforsaken sewer all of their life? Cyrus and Xiayu had barely been down here for more than a few hours or so and they were nearly up to the roof with how done they were with all of this. Still, the knight knew that upon seeing a giant snake climbing out of the sewers Harry-potter-and-the-chamber-of-secrets style that things were going to spiral out of control fairly quickly. Thus it was imperative at the moment to keep the creature appeased, "I won't stop you, just know that whatever fate befalls you shall be by your own hand" he said with a shrug, although his words of passivity were false, he dearly needed the creature to stay down here just a little longer until they fixed this whole mess and were able to sit down and talk about this in a more civil environment.

Thankfully, Xiayu came in for the rescue.

Cyrus looked over to where the snake-woman spoke, she certainly had an idea by bringing in the real culprit to justice, although the knight was somewhat uncertain if they could do even that. If the giant snake was any indication, they were probably dealing with far more than just a few demons or cultists here. Still, they simply needed to appease the demon at the moment, even if it was eager to simply kill them and be on its merry way. The plan that Xiayu explained was indeed quite risky, even if they did indeed capture the real culprit and present the snake at the same time, there was still the chance that the paranoia indcued crowd could simply demand the creature's death anyways. Once the snake-woman brought the knights into this, the dice rolling got a whole lot more complicated, Cyrus hesitated as she spoke- sure the knights would probably let the creature live, but the chances of them letting it live in a highly populated area like Oshibana were close to nil, it would have to be relocated somewhere more open and free.

Still, they had no choice.

Even if their arguments were somewhat flimsy, the snake seemed to agree with the two humans. Cyrus himself was hesitant about all this, unsure of wheather or not this whole thing would play out in the way Xiayu had described, yet that didn't mean he wasn't willing to try. Cyrus gave a nod, "I will try my best to make it so" he said, looking up to the snake before walking back over to where Xiayu was standing. "Remind me to buy you a drink later" he said, thankful that she had just successfully negotiated between the snake and the knight- at the rate Cyrus had been doing things the creature would have probably just started killing things, Xiayu had thought fast and on her fee- I mean tail... And for that Cyrus was thankful.

"I believe that golem owes us some answers" the blond said to Xiayu and partially to the snake, they had to get to the bottom of this after all.

Cyrus's standoffish attitude regarding how the snake was taking a risk and putting himself at danger served to only irritate the demon. See in the snake's mind if the people were stupid enough to just attack every demon on sight, regardless of the fact the snake demon would try and explain he wasn't responsible for any harm done to them, then those people deserved to be wounded as the snake demon would obviously fight back. Personally Xiayu also agreed that perhaps the residents of Oshibana town shouldn't jump to conclusions so much; not that she was aware of what the snake demon was thinking. The half-snake would have laughed had the residents of Oshibana town tried to take on the snake demon and ended up badly wounded or dead; it might sound cruel but it would hopefully teach them a lesson about not attacking random people in the street.

There was a risk that the deal Xiayu thought up would only be agreed to by one of the two parties it affected but fortunately that risk was soon eradicated as Cyrus had the good will to agree to it. "Hehehehe. I dare say you owe me more than a drink blondie~" The half-snake winked enjoying a moment of light hearted amusement but almost instantly everything returned to seriousness as Cyrus mentioned how the clock work golem owed him and Xiayu some answers. "Yes indeed he does owe us some answers..." Now it was often a bad idea to play anyone for a fool and anger them; more so for a women and even more so when that women was half-snake and could constrict you. Th snake-demon decided to stay here for the mean time as yes he did hate this stinking sewer but he couldn't exactly go through with Xiayu's plan without the real culprit in hand.

Xiayu slithered out of the cistern behind Cyrus following the knight as the pair made their way back towards the room with the clocks in which dwelled the clock work golem. When the pair arrive outside the room they would find something very...different about it. Instead of a door there was a large shimmering portal which showed giant cogs and gears turning on the other side . This portal had not been here before and for it to appear after Cyrus and Xiayu heard the imprisoned snake's side of the story was suspicious to say the least. "Hmm..as if we needed any more evidence that our "friend" was suspicious" Xiayu decided to take the plunge and ventured into the portal first. She slithered forward and moved through the shimmering surface of the portal. Through said portal Cyrus could see Xiayu and she seemed to be perfectly unharmed by the experience which was good as she didn't like the idea of getting hurt for this.

Cyrus and Xiayu left the snake's lair behind, not quite sure how this adventure of their was going to end- yet still having a good enough intuition on just who was behind it all. The golem had told them the creature had broken its chains and was rampaging around the sewers, and yet this simply was not the case- the thing looked more docile if anything, aggressive and naive somewhat- but still docile. The blond walked with the slithering snake-woman, the dark and dank sewers providing a familiar odor of filth and stench for them to wallow in once again. He was getting tired of this place, he was eager to deal with this creature just so that they could go back above ground- let alone clear Xiayu's name of any falsities. Speaking of the snake-woman though, "What do you plan to do after this then?" he asked, keeping his eyes trained ahead of them, if that clockwork monster knew they hadn't killed the snake then the chances were that it knew they were coming.

"I'd imagine you'd join a guild of some sort then?" he asked, noting how the woman most likely possessed some form of magic in one way or another. The blond would let the woman respond as the two of them walked, keeping mostly quiet as they did so- even though they still had a bit of a walk from the snake's lair back to where the golem's room had been. the knight couldn't help but feel like things were going to escalate fairly quickly once they encountered the golem face to face once again. His measly bronze shortsword was strapped to his belt, but against the mysterious creature who knew how effective it would be.

The sight of a shimmering portal in place of where the golden door had once been was a rather alarming discovery. The knight stopped and looked at the thing, he had assumed when they entered the golem's lair that they had passed through some sort of portal but now with how much the exterior had changed, Cyrus was somewhat wary. Still, they had come this far, it would be the definition of insanity for them to just drop things now and leave, they were going to get to the bottom of this and get some straight answers for once. Xiayu was the first to take the plunge this time, slithering in ahead of the knight. Not one to let the snake-woman go in by herself, Cyrus soon followed and entered the strange portal. The experience wasn't painful, more so just strange and disorienting. The knight could feel his body buzzing somewhat but for the most part he was fine.

So then, where had he ended up?

On the other side of the portal Cyrus found himself standing on an invisible floor in a empty void devoid of anything except giant cogs turning in the background. No matter how close Cyrus tried to get to any of these cogs they would always remain the same distance from him almost if him and the cogs existed in different realms regardless of the fact they were visible. Xiayu looked behind her when she heard the sound of water and was relieved to see that her partner Cyrus had made it through safely. Most of her motivation for being glad to see him was because she would need his help and also because she had forgotten to answer his question in her eagerness to slither through the portal.

What did Xiayu plan to do after she was finished with her little trip to this vile smelling sewers? Hmm..that was a good question that the half-snake hadn't devoted much thought to yet however now that she had been asked an answer was simple to think of. "Well..I think I shall take a rent a hotel room out for the night and relax..and take a shower too. I stink rather badly..." She hated to admit it but Xiayu did indeed smell almost as badly as the sewers had themselves. Cyrus question about what guild Xiayu would join hit a difficult spot. See the half-snake was planning to join a dark guild and as Cyrus was a knight that'd probably cause a bit of friction between the two of them. Sure the new king of Fiore had made dark guilds sort of legal but there was still animosity towards "Dark Mages"

"Hmm...I've not decided." The half-snake was avoiding the question because she really didn't want to risk incurring Cyrus's wrath as after all she did kind of need to count on him for protection. At that moment a loud bell rang through the area and Xiayu snapped her head towards the source of it. What she saw was not exactly a good sight to see. It was a giant amalgamation of gears and clocks which formed into the shape of a huge worm like creature. At the top of the creature there was the clock work golem from before growing out of the worm's head. Having seen this giant work it came apparent to Xiayu how and why the villagers assumed a snake was responsible for their missing children but then again how could the villagers mistake a giant clock work worm for a snake? Xiayu assumed they must just have terrible eyesight or be really.....unintelligent.

On the other side of the portal, Cyrus was somewhat surprised by what he discovered.

The room form before had transformed, there were still clocks aplenty lining the nonexistent walls to the pocket dimension, yet they almost seemed like mirgages- often appearing as fuzzy and somewhat unconsistent despite keeping up the appearance of looking normal. Looking around the room, the knight wasn't quite sure just what or where they were in. Heck, he couldn't even see the ground, everything simlpy looked like a black void which went on forever. Still, the void world seemed to have a solid ground, thus the man laid this immediate concern to rest. There were no traces of the golem at first, yet the man remained on guard. Xiayu looked just as perpelexed as him, the two of them finding the realm to be somewhat trippy. Despite these immediate concerns, Xiayu answered his question.

It was a simple enough response. He had been asking more out of an eagerness to fill in the awkward silence that had filled the two while they were traveling through the sewers, now that they were here on the clockwork golem's home turf though, such trivialities became nonexistent. As the knight continued to look around the black world, searching for the golem, he would give a simple response to the first part of her answer- "Showering would be a priority" he stated, although he didn't really make an effort to be comical or funny about it, in fact his mind was too focused and deep in tunnel vision to register what he had said somewhat. Still, it was a simple response.

If the knight hadn't been so preoccupied on the imminent danger coming for them, he might have had the awareness to question the snake-woman further. Luckily for Xiayu, the man did not ask any more into the matter, instead immediately turning his attention to the giant clockwork snake and golem which had appeared nearby. The loud bell caused the blond man to draw his sword instinctively and rapidly, not wanting to be taken by surprised. Upon seeing the large snake creature as well as its rider, the knight frowned, before the two of them took this golem down the man had a question for it. "I take it you know why we're here? You shouldn't have lied to us" he bluntly said, not wasting time with formalities.

"Why are you doing all of this?" Cyrus asked, wanting to get a straight answer for once from the otherworldly force.

From atop his clock work snake the golem's featureless face made no expression after all he had no eyes, mouth, ears or nose but despite that he was able to hear what the knight had said. The golem had been hoping that these two fleshy organic meat bags would blindly follow the suggestions given and kill the snake demon but alas that was not the case. "Hehehe... all you had to do was follow instructions and kill the accursed thing!" Unlike before the golem's voice fluctuated with anger and was repeated by hundreds of other voices. It was a deafening chorus of malice and anger aimed directly at the stupid inferior flesh bags who had failed to follow ONE SIMPLE INSTRUCTION. Oh well..the golem could simply murder these two humans then trick the next fool hardy adventurer into doing his dirty work.

Xiayu looked at Cyrus realising she wasn't exactly the best at fighting for a few different reasons. For starters her magical ability was..simply terrible and she knew it. Secondly she wasn't exactly skilled or trained in physical combat nor was she the most physically strong however their was one thing the half-snake had on her side. Most females hated it when they were called "heavy" but for Xiayu she was very heavy coming in 270 pounds which was roughly the same weight as a California Sea Lion. The point I'm making with this is that despite Xiayu's lack of physical strength if she hit you with the full weight of her body she could easily leave behind a nasty bruise. "Well then...Cyrus you better be ready to fight as I can't..." While that brief quick exchange of words occurred the golem's face split open revealing rows of sharp, jagged, disordered metallic teeth which looked like they could quite easily take a good chunk of flesh out of people.

The clockwork snake reared up and roared then lunged towards Cyrus and Xiayu. The half snake evaded this by rapidly moving to the left in a surprising display of speed and dexterity for someone of her bulk which was rather natural behaviour for someone who was half snake; snakes themselves did have whiplash reaction times after all. Xiayu slithered back and reared up on her tail tip then she coiled up tail up and pushed off the ground like a spring flying towards the golem. She would attempt to latched onto the golem and coil around it hopefully giving Cyrus a chance to do something but unfortunately the golem saw this coming and jerked suddenly as he lashed out and slammed Xiayu to the ground. It was clear that in this battle Xiayu was quite literally out of her depth. The half-snake wished sse hadn't been forced into this by those stupid sodding peasents

Cyrus frowned as the metal golem dodged the knight's question. The blond gave a small, "Hmph" as it seemed the two of them wouldn't be getting any straight answers out of the humanoid figure currently sitting on its massive mount. The thing leered down at them and scolded them on how they had actually used their brains to think things through rather than just blindly charging in and killing the first inhuman thing they saw. The creature's voice seemed to carry more power and weight with it as it spoke, its voice projecting through the black void of clockwork as the three of them stared each other down. A fight was imminent and Cyrus knew it, he slowly drew his sword as the golem continued its rant on how the two of them couldn't follow instructions. Xiayu's comment on how she couldn't fight was fair, Cyrus already knew the moment he let her tag along that she'd be more of a liability than an asset in a fight- meaning that the blond would be the one who did most of the grunt work at the end of the day... Which seemed to be now.

The golem's face split open, revealing gears and inhuman teeth which it gnashed at the two humanoids below. It wasn't exactly the most ideal of combattive conditions, yet the blond still had a few ideas up his sleeve before he became anxious. As the giant metal snake began winding up (literally and figuratively) for its first attack, the knight would quickly speak to the snake-woman, "Its fast, but we have numbers- I'll keep it busy and try to force an opening" the knight quickly whispered before the snake lunged forwards at the two of them, forcing the knight to leap sideways to avoid getting impaled on its razor-sharp fangs. The blond saw Xiayu leap up to the golem out of the corner of his eye, momentarily alarming him when the golem simply grabbed her heavy body out of mid-air and cast her aside.

It was now that Cyrus acted. The knight knew that a head on assault would be suicide- not only was the metal snake far too fast for them to keep up with, but the golem riding atop it was powerful enough to take them down if they got close. Thus, the two would need to rely on their numbers to try and outmanuver the creature- working in its blind spot if possible while the other kept attention focused on them. With how easily Xiayu had been knocked down, it was possible the golem saw Cyrus more as the immediate target- it wasn't certain, but it was still possible. If the blond could keep the creature's attention focused on him then perhaps the snake-woman would be able to capitalize on that at least.

So, knowing that he had to rely on some faulty tactics, Cyrus jumped forwards and began harassing the metal snake. Smacking its body with his sword and overall just haranguing it like a mosquito pesters a person. It was impossible for the man to leap all the way up to where the golem was, the blond would have to try and force the creatures to act.

Xiayu was on the floor pulling herself back to her tail. Seeing Xiayu in this position the clockwork golem planned to take advantage of it and began to slowly move towards her. However it was interrupted by Cyrus running towards its lower portion and hitting it repeatedly with his sword. The golem turned to look down at Cyrus and burst out laughing at this rather pathetic display. From the golem's point of view Cyrus's ineffective sword attacks were like a gnat buzzing around a person and you know what the golem did to Gnats? It crushed them. The clockwork snake turned away from Xiayu and reared up opening its jaw wide. A grinding sound came from within the clockwork snake's open maw. The source of this sound was numerous blades, gears and saws rotating within the mouth. The inside of the jaw could best be described as a meat grinder.

Seeing how the giant clockwork snake had lost interest in her and was focusing on Cyrus Xiayu saw an opportunity and tried to take it. Xiayu slithered up the metal snake's body coiling around it in the same manner as a tree climbing snake. The half-snake reached the clockwork golem and coiled around it. Fortunately while the giant clockwork snake was physically potent the clockwork golem itself was rather frail and weak physically hence how Xiayu was so easily able to wrap around it. The half-snake tightened her coils and kept on squeezing as tight as she was able to with her rather puny strength. "Cyrus now! climb up!" While the clockwork snake was wildly thrashing around trying to throw Xiayu off she would hold out the end of the her tail towards Cyrus expecting him to grab on and climb up. Unfortunately Xiayu lacked the physical strength to pull Cyrus up so he would have to climb.

Cyrus watched as his attacks did dishearteningly little damage to the giant metal snake. The blond had been trying to irritate and draw the golem's attention away sure, but he was still hitting with some pretty powerful blows after all. The knigbt frowned at how the creature laughed and seemingly was amused with Cyrus's attempts at fighting. Good, maybe now Xiayu could- yes, that would work. Cyrus watched as the snake-woman threw herself up onto the golem, binding it long enough for the blond to make a move. Quick as a flash the blond had lept up onto the snake's back, even though the crrature was very much active and very much trying to throw the two off. Luckily, the man kept steady footing and hauled himself up onto the head of the large construct where Xiayu was holding the golem captive. The knight placed his sword behind him and swing it violently forwards- aiming to cleave the creature's head cleanly off! They didn't have the time nor luxury to question the thing on its motives for all this, perhaps the two would never know- they just killed and fought, thats what people like them did after all. Cyrus stayed light on his feet regardless, aiming to leap back or avoid falling off his precarious perch.
