Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Jason hit the ceiling, his magical armor preventing him from much harm. The only thing that did bother him was the smoke, and the heat. The surrounding area began to take effect on him, he was short of breath and was sweating like a pig. The was in a poor state, the fire only got worse, and would probably catch on somebodies clothing. Behind Jason a little piece of the ceiling caved in, letting the smoke out into the night sky. The smoke was almost blinding at this point, and it stung Jason's eyes and has lungs; this bar had probably given him lung cancer sadly.

Jason turned his attention back to the two dudes he was fighting right now, they had very smartly grabbed hold of his Susano'o and were smashing him against the ceiling. Jason shook his head, he could end the spell early, or he could find a way to get out of their hold and back into a fight. Jason let them send him towards the ceiling once more, his armor would protect him so it didn't matter much. Jason allowed them to throw him up for one reason, smoke. It is common knowledge that hot air rises and so a shit ton of smoke was clustered near the ceiling, with no where else to rise. When Jason broke the smoke cloud they would lose sight of him for a brief moment, and in the moment he would act. Jason first dispelled Susano'o, made a clone, then teleported so that he was behind his two enemies. The clone would drop down in Jasons place; probably confusing the cultists. The clone looked just like him, excluding Hibiki, but that didn't matter since she was in his pocket and wasn't really in sight. The clone received the commands Jason had given him upon using the spell, and was fulfilling them. The clone rushed towards the cultists preparing to engage in combat.

Meanwhile Jason had accidentally teleported right into Byrons path, which almost ruined his entire plan. Jason was going to sneak up on the cultists but now he had another enemy, one that was trying to escape.

"Hibiki!"

Jason spoke relatively quietly, but loud enough for his friend to hear him. Hibiki got the message, they had excellent team work after all. Hibiki quickly moved up the Jasons shoulders and prepared her spell. She spit out a ball of acid, that shot straight for their cultist friends. The cultists would probably have their back turned and wouldn't notice the incoming ball of acid. Hibiki had shot at Skuzz, but it would probably splatter and hit Vinnie a bit. As Hibiki slithered back down into his pocket Jason rushed at Byron.

Byron navigated through the bar his gun(s?) in hand. He had not expected to run into Jason. The man had just spontaneously landed in front of him, coming from nowhere like some sort of demon that was able to travel through different dimensions. Byron stopped in his tracks, and watched as the man turned towards him. From what Byron could see the man was probably an enemy of the cultists. And if he was anything like the monsters that had appeared in the back room things weren't going to go to smoothly. He pointed his gun at the man and fired a bullet; almost like he was gauging his strength.

Jason watched as the man confirmed his suspicions and fired a round at Jason. Jason remembered his old friend who used guns, and thought about all the time he had seen her blow somebodies head off with them. Jason didn't have time to dodge however, as it was at point blank; he just had to prey that the bullet wasn't as well made as Paula's were. Jason cringed in pain as the round made contact with his chest, it hurt like a bitch but wasn't anything to serious. Jason quickly rushed forward, and snatched at the mans gun nozzle, while the bullets wouldn't do much damage he didn't want to get shot again.

Byron attempted to shoot again but his gun was grabbed by the blonde haired man in front of him. The gun was pointed at the floor, both of the men had their hands on it. Byron watched as Jason through a right hook, he was to fast for Byron to counter. Byron took the blow and wasn't prepared for the force that came behind it. The punch caused him to loosen his grip on the gun. He instinctively brought his other gun up and pointed it at Jason, he fired off another round, which hit the blond haired man in the chest once again.

Jason pulled his newly acquired gun back from the cultist, and decided he'd use it as a weapon. Jason ran at Byron, muscling through the bullet that had just bounced off of his chest. Jason and Byron were face to face now. Jason shoved his gun into the mans face, the barrel was against his cheek. Jason fired a bullet right into the side of the guy's face. Byron took the hit; the pain causing him to flinch. Jason continued; he once again punched the man in the face, then as they both fell towards the ground, tripping on each others feet, Jason fired the whole mag into the man's forehead. As they hit the ground Jason drove his knee into the man's gut, then pistol whipped the mans on the right side of his head. Jason continued to beat the mans head in with the gun, blood began to pour out of the man's skull. Jason continued to beat on him until he stopped moving, probably dead. Jason stood up, over the limp cultist. Hibiki had moved back into his pocket, and his clone had initiated combat with the two, assuming they were still in commission after that acid. Jasons hand was bloodied, staining his white sleeve.

Around Jason the bar had began to collapse, parts of the roof were caving in and crashing down into the bar, crushing everything under them. Jason almost had his life ended by one of the falling chunks, it landed right in front of him, separating him from Vinnie and Skuzz, as well as his clone. Jason clenched his teeth, he didn't want to just leave everybody but there was no way he'd be able to escape with them, not with out getting the all killed. Jason turned towards the exit in anger, he ran towards the broken window and jumped out, the night air filling his lungs. His eyes still stung from all the smoke, and sweat covered his body. He was breathing hard, trying to regain his composure. The fighting mixed with the smoke had taken their toll on his lungs, he was short of breath and need to catch it. Jason looked around the streets of his city, the bar was lighting up the night. Around the bar people had come to watch the burning building, and fire fighters (local knights) were rushing to the scene to put it out. Jason stood upright, his hands on his hips; this was going to be a long night.

Frederick watched as more people seemed to keep popping up out of no where. He watched as the bar around them began to collapse, and decided now would be a good time to move. He followed Byrons path and rushed towards the front, choking on the smoke as he ran. The bar continued to collapse around him pieces falling here and there. Hopefully he could make it out in time.

Killer Lord, The Silencer of Men.

Amelia watched as things happened around her with such speed. She was unable to hear from the bodyguard of whom she had sent out, but she understood what she had to do. There were losses all around and with Bones and his friends occupied there would only be her to deal with the current situation. Raising the unconscious No'yome and hefting him as well as she could, Amelia watched as Byron ran out towards the front of the bar as a means of escape.

Amelia shook her head as the man ran off. If he went running without a guard he was surely going to get beaten...hard. Motioning for the last remaining Cultist to stay with her, Amelia would hoist No'yome on her back and motion for Fredrick to follow her. Together they would make their way toward the front of the bar, the smoke and heat from the crumbling bar brought a great discomfort to her body and was nearly driving her mad. Running through the smoked filled bar, Amelia would of passed by a body that she could only assume was Byron as she jumped over it, Fredrick right behind her. It was unfortunate, but hey that was life.

Kicking down the broken door, Amelia would take a deep breath of fresh air as she heard Fredrick behind her do the same followed by a stream of steady curses. He was not happy about the crashing of the meeting as well as the death of his comrades but such was the life of a cultist member...

"Relax. There's still two of you, we'll be fine."

Outside under the setting sun, Amelia would try and position both her and Fredrick away from the collapsing bar but waiting to see if Bones and his allies would follow out as well eventually. Even if they didn't the least she could do would be to confirm the dead bodies and put to use whatever they would of left behind.

I don't even know.
-In the halls-

"Hah...Hah...T-That it, Sarge...?" "Hah...Yeah, Private. I think he's down..." The two knights panted after their delivering their brutal street knight justice on Vicinte, leaving him a bloodied clump on the ground below as the flames slowly creeped along the ceiling and walls, reaching further into the hallway. "...Toss him out the backdoor, cuff em' to something, and search the main floor! Understood!?" "Yes Sir!" Taking Vicinte by his underarms, the young private dragged the man out of the building as the Sargent forged deeper into the building inferno. Perhaps an odd request, but there was a chance there had been injured bystandards from the blast. In other words, he wanted the private to evacuate those who may not be able to do so themselves.

-In the meeting room...-

//Of course she walked aw-W-Woah!// As Jaxus took his attention from the ceiling to Amelia, who remained silent, his thoughts were suddenly interrupted as a blur of motion entered his peripherals. CRACK! Before he could even turn his head, he felt a sharp impact on the left side of his stomach, stunning him as a second blow fell into hs sternum, forcing the wind from his lungs and forcing his body to tense as the following three blows made their mark completely. As Bones final punch landed on the left side of his face, Jaxus' knees buckled as blood was drawn from his mouth, staggering to the side, violently coughing as Bones backpeddled away, obviously a result of the smoke inhalation he was being exposed to. "Hah..."

"Damn...!" Jaxus right hand reached up, wiping the blood from his mouth as he desperately fought against the pain wracking his body. //Just abit longer...// Suddenly, right forearm began to glow with a gentle, golden white light, yet, this form coated his arm, and was steady, much unlike his other moves. Suddenly, the light shot forth upwards from his arm, quickly spreading across his entire body, giving him a shining, golden white glow of light across his skin as he reached for his back pocket. Soon enough, afew light scratches upon his body began to disappear, and the heaving in his chest began to slow ever so slightly. It seemed as if he was healing his wounds, albiet, with the damage he sustained, it would only help so much.

Yet, oxygen felt as if it felt his lungs atad easier now, and some of the pain from the rattling strikes began to dull ever so slightly. However, not one to stay still for long, Jaxus suddenly reached his right arm over from his back, rotating counter clockwise with the motion, sliding on his heels as he flung a set of three shuriken towards Bones. With two released on his left side, and the third released on a slight delay, Jaxus hoped that Bones would dodge to his left, putting himself in the path of the third shuriken at mid chest height. Unfortunately, this was just to bide time for his recovery. With his trusty Bang-A-Rang as the only chance of harming Bones in this form, he didn't dare release it, and the pain wracking his body prevented him from putting himself fully into a charge. Inside his head, Jaxus marveled at the raw difference of strength between the two.

In the corner of the room, peeking from the hall was the Sargent from the knights. However, as Jaxus worked his way into a spin, a sudden crack echoed through the entire building. CRASH! Suddenly across the room, a pile of burning rubble collapsed near Erenson, the flames quickly spreading to his unconscious body. //Oh, crap!// Suddenly, the Sargent noticed Erenson, and due to his location and his condition, it was only logical to assume he was a cult member. //Screw it!// Throwing caution to the wind, Sargent Ricketts rushed forward, attempting to scoop up Erenson's unconscious, battered body before turning on his feet in an attempt to take them away before Bones could react. As Jaxus heard the footsteps, he raised an eyebrow but quickly turned back to Bones. Whether this man was friend or foe, he couldn't do anything at this point. With many evacuated, Bones was probably looking to finish him and if he distracted himself with the newcomer, it would all be over.

-Outside the bar-

Things were escalating quickly. Knights from all over the city were arriving to control the blaze before it spread to the rest of the city. However, soon after Amelia and company escaped the bar, an entire regime of knights approached them just moments after they escaped. "Hold it, we have some questions for you..." Soon enough, a leader of the group with muddy, brown hair stood up, a bored, uninterested expression upon his face as he raised his sword towards Amelia and Fredrick. After all, with the unconscious No'yome in tail, and the most recent one's out, they seemed like a good lead to knowing the truth. THWACK! Suddenly, the knights eyes shot wide open as an arrow impacted his chestplate, sending him tumbling to the ground as the impact dented his armor. "Who the hell...?" "We've arrived, get them out of here!" Suddenly, a dark purple cloaked figure would leap down from a nearby rooftop, rolling with the impact before propping themselves on their knees, bow pointed towards the very same knight. Soon enough, similar cloaked figures appeared behind the original.

As the knights looked back and forth to the scene, they unanimously decided. Rushing forth at the most dangerous cult members, the knights would seemingly ignore Amelia and Fredrick, yet, it certainly wasn't safe. As the streets broke into an absolute riot, magic soon entered the scene as a cultist summoned an icy blue magic circle in the air, only to be met with by a mage from the street, casting a similar red circle towards the cultist. CRACK! BOOOOM! Suddenly, a clash of fire and ice magic between the forces collided, shattering nearby windows in the release of pressure and shaking the entire structure of the bar, causing even more rubble to begin to fall all across the bar in a chain reaction. The reinforcements may have been late, but their members were skilled, all part of the cult's elite "Shadow Squad," courtesy of Erenson's branch. Compared to before, things were even more dangerous than ever, and anyone who left the pub was liable to questioning or otherwise. Things had just gone to hell.

Fear does not exist
As Vinnie and Skuzz worked in tandem to slam Jason against the ceiling, he ended the spell in right as he made contact again, seemingly dropping back down to the ground before running headlong at them. Vinnie frowned slightly, shifting his stance and raising his arms to meet the charge. "This one is full of surprises. Didn't think he'd be so quick to rush us..." Skuzz went back to his defensive stance, but instead of standing still he began weaving his upper body in a boxer like motion. "No worries. I'll go in first, and then you finish him." He slid forward, shifting his weight as the two drew closer, only to have a strange substance strike his right shoulder, splattering all around him. Vinnie jumped back to avoid the spray, turning in the direction that it had come from. Smoke had obscured his vision, but he saw someone slipping deeper into the bar. Swearing violently, Vinnie made to give chase but stopped short when he heard Skuzz swearing. Skuzz had staggered backwards, tearing at his shirt, a grimace of pain on his face. Whatever it was left a portion of his shirt smoking, and the skin around it was red and irritated.

Some of the stuff had splashed onto Jason as well, but he didn't seem to be overly bothered by the substance. His skin and clothes reacted the same way, but he charged forward anyway, taking a swing at Skuzz. The blow seemed almost sluggish, as if the man were swinging through water, and even with the pain he was enduring, it wasn't difficult to Skuzz to evade the blow. He dropped down, still backpedaling, as Vinnie raised both of his arms, blood seeming to ooze even heavier from the gashes along his arms. "Rain of Blood..." He said, swinging his arms across his body. The blood flew from them, solidifying into a small shower of blood colored needles that rained down on Jason, making him resemble a pincushion. As Vinnie stepped forward to attack again, Jason seemed to fade away. Vinnie blinked in confusion for a moment, approaching where Jason had been standing and waving a hand around as if to touch him. "The hell..." The roof seemed to groan in response, and a chunk of the ceiling fell, crushing one of the nearby tables which had remained for the most part undamaged.

"Forget it," Skuzz said, waving smoke from his face as he stepped forward again. He opened his mouth to speak, but a fit of coughing stopped him. When it had subsided, he made a face and jerked his head towards the door. "We need to get out of here. This place is coming down around our ears." "But Bones is still in here. And that little blond haired weasel is probably still in here! We can't just-" Skuzz cut him off with a short bark of a laugh. "Bones will be fine. Let's get out of here while we can." As the pair exited through the front door, Vinnie nodded at Skuzz. "How's your arm?" Skuzz snorted as he examined it. "Fine. Burned something awful at first, but now it's kind of a dull throbbing. Pretty sure it'll go away soon too." The moment they'd stepped outside, they saw pure mayhem. A chaotic bout between members of the Knights and purple cloaked people who could only be cultists was taking place right in front of them. The two exchanged looks.

"The hell is this nonsense?"

"No clue. I'm all in favor of going home at this point..."

-Meanwhile in the Bar-

As Bones' blows landed cleanly, he straightened up slightly, snorted hard to dislodge some of the smoke that was curling in his nostrils. As far as his magic went, the form he'd selected was one of speed, but there was another more suited for such a fiery environment. At the very least his tolerance for smoke would have been better. He'd wanted to enjoy the fight a bit, but at this rate he'd have to cut it short. The building was coming down, and truthfully he'd lost interest in amusing himself with such an opponent. Dazed, reeling, about to break. There was no amusement to be had in finishing off an opponent in such a state. He was momentarily distracted by the light coming from Jaxus, cocking his head at him as the light began to fade. "How pointless. You'd need some strong healing magic to make this any fun..." In answer, Jaxus twisted about and flung several shuriken at him, at the same time that a part of the ceiling broke and caved in. Batting one aside with the plate armor on his right arm, he moved to the left to evade the second shuriken, but made no effort to evade the last, which struck him in the chest on his armor. Looking at the projectile with a look of annoyance, he pinched it between his index and thumb, yanking it out. The tip had was pained slightly with his blood, but it hadn't penetrated particularly deep, making a shallow wound that had already stopped bleeding.

The sound of movement caused him to turn, seeing a Knight come darting in from the doorway and making a beeline for the other end of the room. "Hmm..." Hurling the shuriken in his hand at Jaxus, in a single motion he yanked his spear from the ground and hurtled towards the newcomer, thrusting his spear at the man's chest. Catching him as he bent to grab for something, the combination of the force of the blow and the speed that Bones reached him sent the man staggering to the side, falling heavily. The way he fell snatched the spear from Bones' hands, but he paid it no mind, looking to see what the Knight had been reaching for. "Oh! What's this...? One of the cultists? Well don't mind if I do..." Reaching down, he scooped up the unconscious man, resting him on his right shoulder with a grunt. The Knight that he'd speared struggled to pull the weapon from his chest for a moment, before succeeding and dislodging it. Bones looked at the man with mild interest. "You're still alive? I'd intended to pierce your heart. You must be pretty tough to...ah. Armor, is it? Well no matter. I've no time to play with you either."

"The building is coming down, so we'll have to settle this another time. I'm assuming you came in here to save people, yes?" he said, addressing the Knight. "If that's the case, the both of you had better hurry. No telling who's still upstairs, and with the fire spreading this quickly..." He let the statement hang in the air a moment, before beginning a chuckle that ended in a cough. "Ugh. Enough of this. I'm leaving and I'm taking this one with me. You two, have fun playing hero." As he said it, his body lit up with lightning, covering himself head to toe in thriving, sparking electricity. Though the electricity covered him head to toe, it didn't seem to effect the man he was carrying. The weight of the man seemed to increase slightly, as the magic that fueled his strength went to this new form. Crouching for a moment to pick up his spear, Bones sighed slightly. "Another time perhaps. The job comes first." He moved from one end of the room to the other with such frightening speed, all that was really visible to everyone present was a streak of lightning aftertrail that lead to the door.

It didn't take him long to find the exit that the Knight had used to enter the building, stepping out into the alleyway, his ears greeted by the sound of pure pandemonium. No sooner had he exited, he heard a horrific explosion that seemed to emanate from the entrance of the bar, and frowning, he made his way towards it, streaking down the alleyway like a bullet from a gun. What he saw was the biggest free for all he'd ever witnessed. The Knights were engaged in combat with what he could only guess were the auxiliary forces of the cultists, who didn't seemingly shy away from conflict. Finding Amelia in the confusion was no simple feat, but he darted in between the skirmish until he found her, carrying No'yome and with Frederick in tow. "It's time to leave. Now. Do you have some place where the injured can be dropped off? I can carry one more within the limits of this form. Tell me quickly now, my magic wanes." He blinked slightly at his own words, giving his head a slight shake. Sometimes the personality of the form he took seeped into his mannerisms and speech. "...What I mean is, do you have some safe house or something? A backup hideout to go to? We can't stick around for much longer."

What an eventful night it had been. First he ran into his friend Jaxus, then some ugly guy tried to fight them, then they were broken up by jaxus' midget girl friend and some cultists. Jason was still trying to figure out how such a minor scuffle had turned into this...well cluster fuck. Two armies had decided to clash with Jason as the middle ground, both charging at each other and fighting for their lives in front of the scorched bar. Jason had been caught in the middle of this battle field. Upon more careful observation Jason could figure out the two sides of the battle; the cultists and the knights (with some mages here and there). Sure Jason may have distinguished 'sides' but at the moment it was more like a free for al then anything. People were swinging and shooting at what ever moved. It was really a shame that Jason didn't have any crowd control spells.

Jason ducked and dodged, even threw a few people, trying his best to not get cut in half or blasted by some magic spell. He had run out of magic for now and really had no other options but to fight. Jason's arm was cut by a sword, a light wound that stretched from his shoulder to his elbow. Jason had no means of counter attacking, since all he could see was violence and the strike could have been from anything. He gripped his left arm, blood soaking his white shirt. He kept on his guard, trying to defend himself the best he could. Jason back handed a cultist who had run out in front of him, and then continued his attack with a vicious kick to the chest, knocking him to the floor and under boots. People fell here and there, blood stained the street and magic crackled through the air as spells went head to head rocking the once peaceful city of Poinsettia. Some kind of magic that seemed like lightning struck Jasons leg causing him to fall to one knee. Damn that hurt like hell. The spell had probably broken his skin and done light explosive damage to him. Things weren't looking to good for him as they were. He was in pain and exhausted but he had to keep going. To much was at stake to stop. Well that's what he liked to think. In truth he had no idea why they were fighting. Was it because he was good and they were evil? Or maybe because they were affiliated with cultists and had started to attack him out of no where? Either way at this point it didn't matter. Jason really didn't have an objective, he just had to win. He struggled to his feet beaten and battered.

"Hibiki I might need a medic"

Jason spoke, almost shouted, into his pocket.

"Just needed you to ask"

Hibiki began her healing spell, closing the gash on Jason's arm and the healing the bruise on his leg. This spell also helped relieve Jason of his fatigue. Jason was all of the sudden standing much easier, and breathing easier at that. His lungs had been unclogged a bit by Hibiki's spell effectively putting him back in action.

"Thanks Hibiki, just the boost I needed"

Jason cracked his knuckles and stood tall in the face of adversity. Jason watched in silence, watched for Bones or Amelia; or maybe one of the cultists he had seen in the bar. Jason figured those guy's must be important since the cult started a whole war over them so finding them was his second priority. First he had to find Jaxus, who just happened to probably be in the bar. He could probably handle himself but Jason couldn't leave it to chance, he had to make a choice. Fast.

Killer Lord, The Silencer of Men.

To Amelia, leaving the crumbling bar and exiting into the fresh air of outside had seemed like a good plan. The combination of smoke and fire had easily convinced her that staying inside was not the best decision anyone could make and that anyone with the slightest amount of common sense in their head would choose accordingly. But now that she was outside, watching the sudden downpour of guards as well as mages locked in a deep struggle, Amelia was considering going back inside.

The mini-war that had escalated drastically in the last five minutes, between the guards of Fiore and the cultist elite. Amelia watched in awe as magic shot off in all directions hitting buildings and ground alike setting it on fire, or turning it to ice. Amelia knew that if she or anyone of the people she was carrying atm were hit, it would be a definite kill.

The sudden appearance of Bones cancelled out the thoughts Amelia was having about when the knights would of tuned in on what this bar was and what was actually going on. When did they even learn about the events that were going on at this specific bar at this specific time? Gasping quietly she would gather her wits and nod slowly as she processed Bones' question. The remaining cultists numbered in three, No'yome, and two others two unconscious one quiet and sullen as a veteran of war. And as he should, for if he was annoying in the slightest, Amelia probably would of killed him to make it one less head she had to worry about.

"There's a safe house close to here though it may of been compromised. Three buildings down, the little red bricked one with blue windows. Theres a password so stay close and we'll make it in together."

Giving Bones No'yome so that he could carry the dead weight, Amelia would grab the other remaining cultist and place him on her back piggy-back style as she ran off away from the crumbling bar and fight going on directly outside it.

I don't even know.
Jaxus' slight moment of distraction, even while brief, had come to bite him as Bones returned fire with his own shuriken. Only catching the slightest glimpse of it in the corner of his eye, Jaxus pushed off his right leg as it grazed across the side of his ribs below the armpit, causing a pained grimace to spread across his face as she staggered to the side. "Urgh..." As he stabilized himself, Jaxus found himself looking straight at a blur of lightning, and then, Bones standing victoriously over the newcomer, a spear straight through his chest as he fell to the side. "W-What the..." It wasn't this often it occurred, in fact, it was an almost foreign thing to Jaxus but the fact of the matter was, he was paralyzed with fear. The level of difference between them, was simply unreal.

"Heh-ack!" Rickets slightly chuckled at Bones blunt, straight forward nature, yet, the damage he had sustained stopped him mid laugh, blood spewing forth from his mouth as he violently coughed. "I like your style...you know that?" Said in a casual, yet pained tone, the Sargent wasn't quite lying. As Bones picked up Erenson and collected his spear, Jaxus was stunned as he made a comment he felt was directed at him. Faster than his eyes could even see, Bones disappeared into the smoke, leaving nothing but a streak of lightning in his wake. //T-The hell...// Jaxus' legs shook with fear as the threat seemed to subside for now, taking in for a moment that the man he skewered could have been him at any moment. Luckily, at least he was saved for now with Erenson's safety at stake. "C-Caw..." "P-Persies..." Persies let out a weak call as Bones left, having finally come to as Jaxus directed his attention to her, walking over to gently pick her up, petting her across the back gently in a tender hug. "It's alright girl, I got you...Big Brother's here..."

"H-Hey kid! How about alittle help over here?! Be grateful!" "O-Oh...right...Sorry.~" Shaking his head slightly to focus himself, Jaxus placed Persies gently under his arm and walked over to the Sargent and wrapped his arm around him at the torso as he grabbed onto Jaxus' shoulder for support. "So, what, ya' think anyone is left inside...?" "Nah, everyone on the bottom floor got cleared out, we should be good to leav-AHCK!" In a pained cough, the Sargent hacked up more blood as a result of the sharp, impaling wound Bones had delivered upon him. "O-Oi! Stay with me here!" "SARGE! WHAT'D HE DO TO YOU!?" Coming in from behind the corner, dragging the Bartender in tow, the Private "dropped" the man by the shirt collar, allowing his head to slam into the floorboards as he gripped his sword. "GET AWAY FROM SARGE OR I'LL SLICE YOU GOOD! YOU HEAR ME!?" "Private, enough! He's fine..." "O-Oh...Sorry about that..." "...Uh..." An awkward silence would fill the bar before another, loud crack shook the building, debris beginning to rain from the ceiling in a chain reaction as the building let off a long, howling moan.

"...We should prooobably leave.~" "HEEELP! THE DOORS BLOCKED! CAN ANYONE HEAR ME?!" A shrill yell echoed across the night as the building took further damage and violently shook, the shaking and displacement of the structure miraculously allowing them to finally hear their screams for help. "...Crap. Here." "...Huh...?" Rescuing a damsel in distress, the trademark of heroism. How could Jaxus ignore this plee for help? Jaxus helped the Sargent towards Jenkins, handing him off to allow the private to prop his Sargent up. "You're goin' up? This place is going down any second, you know..." "W-Wait, really!?" "Heh...I got it from here!~" With shaking legs, Jaxus stood tall and turned towards the staircase, his right arm slowly rising in a wide, circular motion, raising a firm, thumbs up as Jaxus left his back turned to the knights. "Real heros do not fear death! They embrace the chance of fate!" Jaxus remained entirely motionless as the knights had an incredibly confused look spread over their face, slowly tilting to look each eachother, blinking, then turning back to Jaxus. Without another word, the two nodded and the Private took the Sargent along with him out the door, with the Bartender, of course.

//That was perfect, Jaxus, perfect!// Jaxus crossed his arms with a satisfied, smug look on his face as he slowly nodded his head. Now he had a heroic quote he could be proud of, and without looking at the knights once, he totally knew it left them in a state of awe and wonder. If only he knew... CRACK! "CAAW!" "Oh shit! Right!" Adrenaline rushed through both Jaxus and Persies, awakening the bird ever so slightly as the threat of death loomed at every corner. With a kick off the floor, Jaxus rushed up the steps to the bar, intending to track down the voice of the one who called.

"HEELP! OVER HEEREE!" As Jaxus approached the upstairs, he found the voice coming from an upstairs restroom. Apparently, whoever was in here had decided to use the upstairs restroom, perhaps to avoid a wait, and somehow had missed the watchful eye of those who escorted the patrons out. Upon the initial blast, they must have become trapped, and only now over the roar of the fires could their voice be heard. Yet, now in front of him was a pile of smouldering pieces of wood, blocking the doorway. "Don't worry...Hold on, Persies!" Crack! Rearing his leg back, Jaxus kicked his body weight forward, sending his foot straight into the pile of burning rubble before quickly rebounding as flames lit upon his ankle cuffs. Slamming his leg down with a slide, Jaxus put out the flames before shifting his weight onto the newly landed foot, spinning counter clockwise as he lifted the opposing leg. CRASH! With a mighty, reverse roundhouse, Jaxus plowed right through the debris by adding a majority of his body weight to the strike, to find a mother huddled in the corner with her child.

"Y-You found us!" "Yuh-Huh! Jaxus Morbane, remember the name!" Jaxus offered a childish, friendly grin before giving a firm thumbs up with closed eyes. CRAASSH! Vibrations shaking the building, the entire staircase collapsed behind Jaxus, leaving a pile of rubble as he slowly looked to his left with a stunned expression. "I-Is something wrong...?" "N-Nothing! Nothing at all! We just need another exit is all!" "A-Are you stupid...?" An awkward silence would fill the air as the graveness of the situation kicked in. //Think Jaxus, think! We gotta' get outta' here!// With another violent crack, the entire building shook, feeling as if an entire section of it collapsed somewhere. "No time to think! Here, let's go!" Rushing towards the woman, Jaxus attempted to help her to her feet. He didn't know how he was going to do it, but Jaxus was going to stick with what was working for him tonight. Breaking things.

"W-Woah! B-But my baby!" As Jaxus tugged her to the hallway, he looked down to the tyke, then back to the woman as she looked to the window Jaxus was approaching. It was obviously too small! She was worried on multiple levels. Did Jaxus want to shove her through that window? Or was he going to toss her baby out the window? What was wrong with this kid! "Oi, oi, we gotcha.~" "W-We...?" "Caaaw!" "H-Hey!" Gripping the blanket wrapped infant from the woman, Persies had swooped with precision, preventing the woman from properly guarding her child as Persies hovered about in the air, shaking in her wings as she fought through the pain. "Heh..." Like pet, like owner, Persies seemed to naturally know how to play the hero. "H-Hey! You can't expe-" Crack! "What the hell are you doing?!" Seemingly making the situation that much worse, Jaxus whipped out his boom-a-rang, gripping it tightly before he "punched" the burning, second story wall.

Crack! Crack! Crack!
"S-Stop! You're just hurting yourself!" Jaxus ignored the woman's warnings, using both fists to hammer away at the smouldering wall with heavy, full body using strikes, layers of soot and ash quickly building upon his burned knuckles. //Just abit more...!// CRASH! Suddenly, the hallway began to collapse around them, rubble falling down upon them around their ears as Jaxus prepared a mighty spear head kick. "S-Stop it already! It's pointless!" CRACK! With the mighty splintering of wood, Jaxus saw his chance as the entire building began to quake below their feet. "Persies, let's go! Hey! Don't stop running! Trust me!" "W-Wait! What! N-No! Eck!" Suddenly dropping his normal, polite nature, Jaxus gripped the woman's wrist and gave her a quick tug before sprinting to the wall he had punched and kicked repeatedly.

"LEEET'S GOOOO!" CRACKCRASH! "CA-CAAAAW!" Tucking his head and shoulders down, Jaxus "slammed" into the wall head first, eyes now shining a bright golden white as he flew into the streets below, Persies unleashing a mighty screech as she followed below with the woman's baby in toe, flapping vigorously to keep herself afloat. Pulling the woman close, Jaxus prepared himself to roll as he wrapped around her with his arms, similar to a hug as he prepared to land it. Thumpumpumpump! Rolling across the streets at high speeds with an occasional hop, Jaxus created a "wheelbarrel" motion by falling with the energy of the fall, his close proximity with the woman keeping them rolling fluidly across the ground. "W-What happened...?" Pulling back his make shift ventilation mask, Jaxus rolled over onto his back to the ground, violently coughing in a fit as Persies ever so smugly floated down, placing the baby over the woman's stomach.

"Heh..." Slowly rising up from the ground, Jaxus shakily got himself up, fighting the pain that wracked every nerve in his body as he gave a quick, cheesy grin to the woman, flashing her a thumbs up with closed eyes. "Ya' just got heroed.~ That's what happened.~ Get to safety! Come on, Persies! Later!~" With fighting in the streets, Jaxus couldn't very well make small chat, could he? This was way beyond his scale, even he didn't intend to get caught in the brawl erupting in the streets. Every muscle and bone in his body hurt, his lungs burned, and his knuckles were stripped bare of flesh and seared, even he knew his limits at this point. So with that, he ran off into the crowds to figure out something he needed to know before he could make his retreat...Where the hell was Jason?
