Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Making it across the room, the sounds of Emily's bloody fun quite audible behind him, Zeph reached for the door that lead out of the inn. He adjusted his grip on his blade, fully anticipating to find more resistance outside. Hand wrapped around the handle, he took one more deep breath before ripping the door open, ready to strike the first person he saw. To his surprise, though, he found no one at all. Taking a full to steps past the threshold, the orange-eyed man glanced both ways down the, once busy street, only to be greeted by absolutely nothing. There was no one around at all, and now that he thought about it, it was dead silent as well. This was beyond unnerving for him and, in fact, gave him the same feeling of dark dread that his encounter with the Dreamer had.

Crouching down, he slid his free hand across the ground as he looked down the road, to his fight. Even if the citizen had evacuated from the vicinity, there would still be sounds from the rest of the city. However, that wasn't the biggest thing that bother him. "Emily. I believe we've been pulled into a pocket dimension," He spoke to his company, the moment he took notice of her leaving the inn, whenever she left it. His hypothesis was based on only two aspects of their surroundings. First would be the complete absence of any sound coming from the city. The second, was the fact that there was no trash. The street was unnaturally clean, as if it had been built and then no one ever used it. So it would seem that they had accomplished a goal that they had not really been thinking about.

Standing up Zeph looked to the redheaded one. "It appears that we have gained the attention of the Demon Worshiping Cult. Though killing those in the Inquisition was what the game was about, killing those that caused this problem to begin with, is also a good way to spend time," He spoke with a slight smirk, though his eyes remained void of anything, keeping his boring expression. The only thing to figure out right now, was which direction to go. It would make sense that the cultists would be nearby, somewhat. However, they needed to get at least a rough idea of where they could be.

It was eerie, even for Emily, to find herself in a place that was so similar to where she’d just been yet clearly a place that was a simulacrum of her previous location. It had to take a certain amount of power to achieve this goal, so for that reason the redheaded psychopath was impressed. She envied anyone or anything with that level of dark power. For the moment, however, there was little time to admire the magical handiwork of whoever had transported them. She knew that they had to get after their enemies and she knew that they had to achieve their goal soon. She glanced over at Zeph and replied.

“That sounds nifty to me. I’ve never heard of a pocket dimension before. It doesn’t really matter, though, does it? We have to deal with the bastards that stuck us here and if it was that cult, I don’t really care how many of them I have to cut up, as long as we can get back to where we were before.”

She gripped Blood’s Tear more firmly and let her sharp green gaze play over all of the buildings. She was searching for movement, for life, for anything that would alert her to the presence of those that had allowed her to be transported here. She turned back to Zeph and spoke.

“Any notion of where these pricks might be?”

"I haven't the faintest idea. If I were in my original form, I would simply level the entire area to make sure they were killed, but since neither of us are capable of such a feat, we are going to have to do this the old fashion way," With that said he began to point back an forth with his left hand, pointing to the right with his index finger, and then pointing to his left with his thumb. Doing this over and over again, he eventually stopped, pointing to the right. Anyone would know, just from seeing, that what he had been doing, was playing Eeny-Meeny-Miny-Moe in order to pick the direction.

Using Eeny-Meeny-Miny-Moe in order to decided where to begin their search was, perhaps, the most human thing he had ever done before. Though he was not one to like chance, nor really understanding what it was about humans and guessing when they weren't sure, but he figured that doing it this way was better than just standing there with no idea on where to start. Worse case scenario, they were going in the wrong direction and it would take them a bit longer to find the cultists and get free. Best case scenario; this would take then directly at the cultists and they would get to have some fun removing their limbs from their bodies.

Turning his body, arm stretched out, he pointed down the street, "We shall begin our search that way." Dropping his arm he began to walk down the street, his blade at his side. He did not realize before that, without his coat on, he felt extremely exposed to the world, at the same time it was rather freeing to move without it on. Glancing down, he saw that his white shirt was stained with a good amount of blood. Seeing that blood on a backdrop of white got him thinking. Glancing at Emily, he realized that all humans were born into the world a blank slate. Some of them, possibly through chance, or the good actions of others, continued through life unstained. There were others, like Emily, through their own choices, or those around them, who were stained black with darkness, or red with blood. Out of no where, Zeph suddenly started laughing as they walked.

Emily glanced across at Zeph. The cackle of laughter that came from him was just nudging up against the sound of madness, but still had a sense of control about it. She wasn’t sure what he thought was so damn funny but half-demons tended to have a rather peculiar sense of humor. Shrugging, she replied, her voice echoing strangely in this pocket dimension.

“This way, that way, it’s all the same to me. I’m sure they’re all around us. They made this place after all.”

She followed her demonic pal’s pointing arm as he lead the way. There was something about the geometry in this place. It was like the wrongness in the temple of the Dreamer. Idly she wondered if this wasn’t some fragment of a much greater dreaming that the cultists had harnessed for their own purposes. There was also something bizarre about this road they were walking down. At first, she couldn’t place it, but she quickly realized what it was.

Everything was closing in on them. Rather like the vanishing point in a painting, the road behind them was narrowing into a pinpoint on the horizon, and as they walked all of the buildings seemed to lean in around them with their brooding façades. On top of it all, there appeared to be a crowd of people bubbling up from the road in front of them. It seemed that they’d found one band of their cultists.

Blood’s Tear sang from her sheath again and the black blade sat easily in Emily’s grasp. She smiled icily at Zeph and spoke.

“I guess we didn’t need to look too far to get started. Shall we?”

Zeph's laughter had surprised, even himself, as it had bubble forth from his mouth. It would seem, and understandably so, that he was laughing for no good reason, but this was not right. His laughter stemmed from his thoughts about souls that had been tainted, and a simple realization. Here he was, walking with Emily, both of them had souls that were beyond stained by the blood of their numerous victims. What was funny about it, to Zeph, was that they both also had the reddest hair possible. If there was a god in this world, it was like he wanted the world to see how stained they were.

As his laughter died he to began to notice the oddity of the world around them. Unlike Emily, Zeph, despite living on Earthland for almost a year now, had never actually looked at a painting, so he did not have a comparison for the warping that was taking place as the buildings seemed to come closer and curve towards each other in such a peculiar way. His eyes followed upward before coming back down to look before them. It would appear that a crowd was oozing up from the road itself. Again, Zeph could not shake the feeling that the Dreamer had given off, and began to wonder if his influence, while locked in his cage, had pushed some of these individuals towards the worship of demons.

Zeph face had returned to it's neutral state, eyes void of all emotions and thoughts, but focused on the objective before them. Turning his body so that the left side of his body was angled towards the crowd before them, his blade in his right hand. bringing up his left hand, he before to flex his fingers, if one looked close enough, they would see an orb slowly forming in his hand, though it's form was like that of a bubble, making it difficult for the eye to focus on if light wasn't hitting it correctly. "With pleasure," Zeph responded, before whipping his hand out in front of him, and firing his spell, Amplify, at the crowd. This blew quite a few back, knocking them into each other, as these fools were, physically, quite weak. At least the ones in the front were.

Emily’s magic was considerably weaker than Zeph’s but the next rank of attackers seemed to bubble up out of the ground closer to them, so she had them within range. A flicker of thought reduced the ground around them to a loose porridge of mud as the redheaded killer changed the state of the soil under them. They still moved forward but at a greatly reduced pace and now she drew Blood’s Tear as the ranks began to get closer. A stomp of her foot sent a crack radiating outwards as one of the cultists reached her. The man stumbled and Emily’s black dagger lashed out and sliced his throat from ear to ear.

The tides of cultists were growing heavier and Emily looked across at Zeph. She said, “Do you think we need to find a less exposed area? We’d probably better find it now if we’re going to. I don’t think that this lot is going to shrink in numbers. We can kill many of them but we can’t do it forever.”

The androgynous young woman was content to stay and slay, as it were, but she did have a slight sense of self-preservation. She wondered if the odd physical properties of this place might allow them a way to manipulate it, but without knowing the rules, it was difficult to know where to begin. Another cultist reached her and she stabbed her firmly in the chest, kicking the woman’s body away, as Emily waited to hear what her companion thought of her idea of strategic retreat.

Zeph's blade whistled through the air as the cultists began to reach them. It seemed even with his own, and Emily's magic attacks, these imbeciles were still set on trying to kill them, but it didn't feel right. He blade cut through the chest a cultist, he could feel the blade slicing through flesh, and nicking bone, but it was wrong. His brow furrowed as he tried to figure out what was wrong here. As they continued to fight through the waves of cultists, every one they cut down, two more seemed to be added to the mob, it was slowly beginning to down on Zeph, but he did not fully realize it until his companion spoke about a tactical retreat.

Such a notion was unlike Emily, as she was one that loved to spill blood, the more the better, especially if it was a challenge. So when she spoke of pulling back, Zeph finally understood what was happening. "I see... So that's what they are doing," He spoke softly with a small smile on his face. Dropping his sword arm to his side, he let a cultist charge at him, but they never collided, instead, the being move right by him. These things weren't attacking them. Hell, they weren't even human. Walking forward, the cultists continued to charge, but only to pass by him. "It seems they tapped into the little power left behind by the Dreamer," Turning and looking to Emily, he pointed down the road, past the fake cultists, "These are here to discourage our advancement. Which would mean they don't want us getting to wherever this path leads. Shall we remain defiant?"

As he said this a rather large, cloaked being bubbled up from the ground, just like the others, behind in front of him, Zeph's eyes turned back to Emily. The looming being was, unfortunately, not part of the current facade, which Zeph found out quickly. Before he could bring his gaze forward again, the being's meat club arm swung through the air, catching him in the head. This resulted in Zeph cartwheeling through the air and hitting the wall of one of the curving buildings. Pain shot through his body, vision blurred and he was pretty sure he tasted blood in his mouth. The blow to the head left him disoriented, keeping him from successfully pulling himself up off the ground.

Emily whirled as she saw Zeph flying through the air. She swore at herself for not realizing the sort of trap that was being set before now. It wasn’t that she cared deeply about her companion in any emotional sense, but having his help would be useful in trying to escape this place. She knew that she’d have to face the creature that had attacked him and battle it single-handed until he could help her.

Her quick hands dropped first to the pouch that contained her razor-sharp throwing knives. She drew one of her Raptor’s Talons out and with a flick of her wrist sent it winging towards the eldritch thing. It struck hard into where she thought the creature’s face would be and a howl of pain along with a crunch and a welter of greyish, watery blood spurted out, but the being didn’t halt in its progress. The second knife flew through the air, aiming for the throat, but it was deflected by something there.

As she faced the creature, she drew her black dagger and let the ground weaken under it again, turning it to sand. She let it lumber forward before she leaped at it, aiming to strike it in the chest, but it turned away and she merely dragged a long gash down it’s side. She rolled off and landed on her feet, ready to charge it again. At least she was keeping it away from Zeph.
