The art of unleashing pure chaos was pretty easy and didn't exactly require much in the way of thought, chaos was never difficult to do not that Adrian was the kind of un-educated moron who couldn't carry out more complex actions. The bandits did their best to try and take Adrian down but he proved a little bit too tough for them and by a little bit too tough, I mean it was pretty much impossible for the bandits to actually have a chance against Adrian. As the bandits charged towards the dinosaur they would simply get knocked away by his tail or head if they were really unlucky. Adrian could have caused some serious injuries with his teeth if he wanted but he was too nice for that, despite the fact these bandits would show him no such courtesy. To the bandits it soon became apparent that they couldn't defeat the gigantic dinosaur and so decided to run away. Bandits were never known for their discipline and that had proved to this group's undoing. As the bandits ran away tripping over themselves like a group of frighten school girls running from a giant spider Adrian roared loudly, to make it pretty clear they should keep running if they wanted to live. Having taken care of the bandits Adrian didn't really have any thing else to do, he stomped off looking for his partner Trevor. Hopefully he was not in any danger; it was unlikely that Trevor would be in any danger but you never know. The camp was not very big so it didn't take the Take Over Mage long to find Trevor facing down against the bandit leader. With a roar Adrian stopped next to Trevor and growled at the bandit leader, who gulped and took a step back now that she was faced with a dinosaur. She had been more confident when it as just Trevor; after all he was just a boy and she felt she could take him down but now she had a gigantic dinosaur to contend with as well and that meant the odds were stacked against her. What would the bandit leader do? Well for now she simply stood her ground and stared at her enemies, a drop of sweat trickling down her brow as she concentrated, trying to work out a way to get out of this alive. |

Trevor resisted the urge to glare at Adrian. Part of him had secretly relished the idea of a one-on-one fight with this woman to prove his talent, but another part of him acknowledged that he really had very little real-world experience with fighting and might well get overwhelmed by someone who’d been hardened by actual fights. He stepped forward and smiled grimly at the woman. “The way I see it is this: you can either fight me or you can take this bunch of rabble and get the hell out of here. If you fight me, you’ll also have to take on my friend here because I don’t think he’ll hold back if you try to harm me. So what’ll it be?” The bandit leader’s face was a contorted mixture of contempt, rage, disgust and fear as she glanced from the huge carnivorous lizard back to the young man with his sword drawn and back to the dinosaur again. She grunted. “I knew you were a coward, boy. You’ve got unfair advantage over me and I’m not fool enough to try and press my point now. We’ll leave for now, but mark my words I’ll find you again one of these days and you won’t be able to run away the next time. We’ll see what you’re really made of then.” She shouted sharply at the terrified bandits to get what they could and get out. There was no use for such an opportunistic bunch to stick around if the locals made it difficult in any way. There were plenty of towns not defended by gigantic monsters and cocky, sword wielding striplings and it wasn’t worth the effort for them to stay. Within a few minutes, they’d picked up stakes and gone, leaving their hastily constructed wooden palisade intact but little else. Trevor looked up at Adrian’s saurian form. “I sort of hoped for a bit more fighting but this is probably for the best. I think we can go tell Theodore that he won’t have a bandit problem any more. Thanks for your help, Adrian, I must say that your transformation was quite impressive. It came in handy!” He smiled and patted the large, scaly leg beside him. |

Not knowing people very well, as in not knowing what they would want and the like, meant you often made certain mistakes and that was exactly what Adrian had done. The Take Over mage knew that Trevor wanted to take out the bandit leader but he didn't know Trevor wanted to do it by himself which was what lead to this whole misunderstanding. Due to being in the form of a dinosaur Adrian didn't really have much to say, not that he could say anything, so he let Trevor do the talking. While it wasn't true that the brown haired youth wouldn't hold back, he decided to just growl aggressively, to at least create the impression of being more than able to rip this bandit leader apart. Were Adrian in his human form he'd be laughing mentally at this bandit for calling Trevor a coward. For starters fighting fairly was only viable if you were in a situation that carried no risks of death or injury, if you had to play dirty to win then you played dirty. Secondly it was funny for a bandit of all things to call Trevor a coward. Trevor wasn't the one pillaging a village full of the elderly and those unable to fight back. Hearing this scum bandit leader call Trevor a coward angered it Adrian, which he made known by a very aggressive growl. The leader took this growl as a sign she should pack up her gear and get the hell out of here, which she did, after barking a few orders at the few bandits that hadn't turned tail and ran. As the bandits fled Adrian growled at them, putting the fear of god into them which would hopefully be enough to stop them from simply continuing their operation elsewhere but it was unlikely..still on the brighter side maybe some of the bandits that ran away had learned their lesson. Now that the bandits had fled Adrian turned back into his human form, his spear attached firmly to his back and that pet beetle of his returning to resting on his upper arm. "Well...I suppose that's wrapped up....think we should go after them?" Adrian wasn't one hundred percent sure that letting the bandits go would be the practical solution but Trevor was in charge and he decided that returning to Theodore in the village was the next step. While it was true that Trevor wanted to return to the village and report to Theodore Adrian had another..idea in mind. The bandits had been pretty quick in their clearing out of the camp and that meant they might have left things behind, things that maybe belonged to the resident of Tully Village. "Before we return...I want to look around to see if the bandits left anything behind so we can return it to the residents of Tully Village" Adrian's expression could only really be described as passive and laid back, he wasn't one to smile or make much in the way of emotional facial expressions except when the situation was one which he felt emotional about. Adrian walked towards one of the nearby tents that had been left behind and got to searching. |

Trevor smiled slightly at Adrian’s suggestion to chase after the bandits and nodded thoughtfully. “We should go after them. I just want to make sure that we let Theodore know first. We can also, as you say, search the camp now to see what they may have taken from the Tully Village residents that can be restored to them. I’ve gained some skills as a tracker over the years and I’m sure this lot have left behind a massive trail. Someone without training could probably even follow it.” He and his now human companion began to search through the camp. Various valuable items including jewels, watches and other assorted treasures were found as were large hoards of food and some books that were likely the property of scholars, perhaps even Theodore, so that by the time they’d gathered what they could, Trevor was carrying a large bag that bulged at the seams. He hefted it and looked over at Adrian. “Well I’m sure there’ll be some happy people to get all of their stuff back. Are you ready to go see Theodore again?” |

Trevor agreed that going after the bandits would be a good idea but he also thought that it would be a good idea to let Theodore know about the act the bandits had been routed before pursuing them. Adrian didn't agree with that, sure it was very unlikely that the bandits knew how to cover their tracks but the leader was a different story. She seemed to be very competent and probably knew how to cover her tracks which made sense, experienced bandits were the ones who could avoid being arrested and the bandit leader clearly had plenty of experience surviving. "I don't think that's a good idea. Sure the bandits seem..incompetent but I don't think that leader is the type to be caught so easily" The Take Over Mage decided to just simply assist Trevor with searching the camp site for anything that had been left behind, not because he wanted to avoid the subject matter but because he needed time to make a decision. Adrian didn't want to just let the leader escape but he also needed to assist Trevor in carrying the property back. "Well I'm ready.....but I don't want to run the risk of that bandit leader escaping...As I need ti collect Ozzy how about you track the bandits, leave a trail for me to follow, and I'll catch up to you after dropping off the stuff we collected?" It was the best solution as far as Adrian was concerned, in fact he couldn't think of any other answer to the problem he was faced with, not unless Trevor had a trick hidden up his sleeve. Adrian would have taken the bag off Trevor but he wasn't sure if his partner would agree to the plan or not. |

Trevor knew that it would be best if he made sure the stolen property was returned along with Adrian before he considered the pursuit of the bandits as a legitimate idea. He wanted to ensure that no one else tried to take the possessions of the Tully Village residents, although he doubted that there was any real danger of that. He smiled reassuringly at Adrian and spoke smoothly. “I’ll be able to track them easily even if I go with you to Theodore’s place. They’ve left a track like a herd of elephants for me to follow so it won’t be an issue. I’d rather come with you to see this job through and then go after them. I’ll cut a star shaped blaze into the trees along the path I take so you’ll be able to see my marks. For now, though, let’s see Theodore!” The energetic young man let Adrian take the lead since he knew the country around Tully well. It was actually quite a lovely, sunny day as they strolled along and despite the still dissipating tension of the morning’s encounter, Trevor felt more at ease. They made good time and soon Theodore’s lovely rose-wreathed cottage was coming into view. Trevor motioned generously to Adrian. “Go ahead and tell Theodore the good news. I’ll be right behind you!” As soon as the news had been delivered, the young knight would head out in pursuit of the bandits. |

Adrian remained silent as he listened to Trevor's response regarding the Take Over Mage's plan to split up and complete two objectives at once. If Trevor was so confident that the bandits wouldn't get away thanks to the head start they were getting, then Adrian was more than content to put his faith in him, after all Trevor was the leader and Adrian was simply a follower. Normally Adrian didn't like to lead people as it simply wasn't his place, hence why he followed, but if he was ever forced to lead then he simply did it, employing the full range of his abilities. "Alright, leaving a trail for me to follow seems like a good idea" And with that Adrian walked back to Tully Village with his temporary partner Trevor. Unsurprisingly Adrian lead the way back, he did know the country side far better than Trevor after all, and it only took the pair ten minutes to return to the village, thanks to a small hidden pathway hidden between two trees. The sun shone down on the two males as they walked through the gate of Tully Village and made their way towards Theodore's rose covered, and rather lovely, little cottage. Adrian nodded and walked into the cottage, welcome in by Theodore. After a brief ten minute conversation Adrian returned, having told Theodore what happened and about the items that had been recovered , and approached Trevor. "Theodore will handle the items we discovered and ensure they are returned to the proper owners." It was time to pursue the bandits. |
