Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

God it's peaceful here. Thought Dark as he lounged on a thick branch of one of the older Lavender tree's roughly fifteen feet above the ground. He had chosen his spot near the middle of the Lavender Forest after strolling around in its midst for a couple hours, marveling at it's beauty. During his childhood he'd heard many stories about the wonders and sights of this place, but words truly did not do it justice. The varying shades of purple, green, brown and gray coalescing to form images of unspeakable beauty.

Leaning back against his arms folded behind his head, Dark felt the rough bark of the elder tree lightly scraping against his skin. He closed his eyes, crossed his right leg over his left and took a deep breath before exhaling. If words could not do justice to the sights of the forest, it sure as hell couldn't properly have prepared him for the onslaught of the heavenly fragrances of the innumerable Lavenders. In his mind, Dark could visualize the invisible form of the scent wafting about like a light purple mist, covering and brushing against anything and everything within it's reach, painting everything in the heavenly scent.

I could almost see myself living here. He thought as a light smile tugged at his lips. Of course, there was just that pesky problem with the merchants and their "Home" in the middle of this haven. To him, the merchants were nothing more than a blight on the otherwise flawless design of this place. Dark loved nature, and as such, hated intruders invading it and soiling it like the merchants had. The slight smile turned to a frown, before quickly disappearing with a quick shake of his head. Today was a day for relaxing, a day to forget about his financial problems, and anything else that threatened to put him in a bad mood. Not to dwell on subjects that he had absolutely no control over.

Opening his eyes once more, Dark stared at the clear blue sky above the canopy of the forest, glimpsing one or two tiny, puffy white clouds. His eyes wandered down, grazing across the foliage; catching the individual and varying beams of sunlight straining through the topmost leaves and flowers. The beams of light danced as a slight breeze drifted through the trees. The sounds of the trees swaying with the wind tickled his ears, making him close his eyes once more before smiling; Dark's close-cropped dark brown hair swaying ever so slightly with the tree's as the wind made it's way to him. The quiet rustle of leaves and branches echoing through the forest, chasing the renegade breeze.

He was beginning to become more and more relaxed as he let all of the sounds of the forest embrace him. The squirrels skittering across the floor, and scurrying up a tree; mocking jay's whistling a recently learned tune from a passerby, the song swirling every which way through the forest, becoming a veritable concert. The soft flapping of a crows wings as it made for it's landing on a topmost branch of a nearby tree. Here and there, the seeming cacophonous sounds of the forest slowly began to coalesce, becoming a chorus; lulling him ever deeper into relaxation and ever closer to sleep.

Honesty without tact is cruelty.

Inara found herself in the Lavender forest again. It was fast becoming one of her favorite forests. The colors were such that they couldn't be found all together in any other part of Fiore. Her hair was in its usual braid, falling over her shoulder. Her green eyes surveyed the forest with utmost interest. She had every intention of spending her day here, wiling away the hours just curling her toes into the grass, and letting the voices of nature speak to her.

She hummed a little tune as she walked, pulling her cloak close about her. It wasn't as cold here in the forest as she had expected, but still enough to make donning warm clothing a good plan. Her hands were gloved. Any weapons she bore were well concealed. She smiled as she moved forward, her eyes on a certain plant she had been seeking for a while.

She had to handle it carefully, as the stem was full of small invisible barbs which could prick the skin, and lodge there, causing infection if not removed promptly. She used a sharpened stick to dig at the roots of the small plant, not wishing to use her sword for something so simple. She dug until it at last gave way in her hands, and she carefully put it in her bag. Or meant to anyway.

As it turned out the barbs were sharper than anticipated. She made a face as one of them lodged itself into the palm of her right hand. She may have said "Ouch" rather loudly a few times, seeing as no one was near the giant Lavender tree beneath which she crouched. Or so she thought anyway. She removed the glove, seeing immediately where the stupid thing had gone in. It had left a rather large red welt on her palm, and she began to hunt around for her tweezers; so handy for such things. "Where did I put those stupid things....Ohhh..." she huffed in frustration as she searched her many pockets (one handed) for the thing she needed, but simply couldn't find right this second.

Just as Dark was about to drift off into the sweet embrace of unconsciousness, he was abruptly startled by the sound of a woman's voice shouting. His eyes flew open, and he jumped a little, causing his balance on the branch to be threatened. It was a good sized branch yes, but it's not like the thing was a sequoia, the branch he was perched on only being roughly a foot or so in diameter. Dark tried to catch himself, but to no avail. "SHIIIIIII..." He yelled, before being cut off upon his painful landing on the forest floor.

"Surn-urv-ur-burch." Said Dark, speaking with a muffled tone into the grass which his face was currently stuck in, while holding and extremely derisive expression. "Ow." He said as he began to push himself up into a kneeling position, "That's gonna leave a mark." He reached up with his right hand and started massaging the back of his neck; simultaneously, Dark rolled back off his knees, sitting down on the ground. And at that moment, that's when he noticed the woman at the base of the same tree he'd been perched in, the same woman he'd even venture to guess, that had to have been the owner of the voice that had startled him just seconds before.

Dark was frozen for a couple seconds, eyebrow arched, and head cocked sideways with a look of curiosity on his face. He took note of a large welt starting to form on one of her hands, and the fact that she appeared to be in search of something. An instant later Dark unfroze, "Hello." Dark said to her, while placing his left hand on the ground next to him for balance. The second he finished the word, Dark blinked, his eyes becoming wide, while letting out a tiny grunt. "AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" He yelled a moment later, yanking his left hand back up from the ground, and holding it's wrist with his right hand. Dark stared at his left palm while breathing quickly and squinting from the sudden and intense pain radiating from his hand. "What the hell?!" He said incredulously with wide yet squinting eyes, taking in the multiple tiny thorns stuck in his palm, causing several welts to already start forming.

Quickly his expression became a derisive one; Dark lowered his left arm a little while still holding it at the wrist with his right hand, and with an occasional twitch of his eye's with each twinge of pain from his hand, he turned his head to face to girl. With a strained voice and an occasional wince from the pain, Dark said to the girl, "I don't suppose...you have some...thing that could help...me with this, do you?"

[Ooc So sorry I took ages.]
Inara had just found the tweezers in her pocket when something unexpected happened. A man fell from the sky. She looked at him, wide eyed, as his rump was stuck up in the air, and his eyes were facing both the tree and the ground. She hadn't expected it, and she was shocked for about half a second. That was how long it took her to realize he had probably fallen from the still shivering branch in the great tree beside which she was crouched. The forest had gone still at his cries. A minor thing.

She winced inwardly, wondering if she had startled him from his perch. If she had it had been inadvertant, but she wasn't going to make excuses. She hoped he was too injured. She was about to ask him just that, had her mouth open and everything, when he started to push himself up. The curse that followed the ow was quite a bad one. And her ears burned slightly at hearing it. She said damn quite a bit, but that one was new to her.

"Hello." She said pleasantly enough when he addressed her. Just as if it were a normal meeting and he hadn't just landed face-first on the ground after falling from a tree. She put up a hand to stop him from putting his hand down, but she was too late. Again. He pushed his hand right into a patch of the same plants that had injured her own hand. She recoiled the hand, wincing as she realized it was the hurt one and openeing it again, to stop the burning.

"Actually, I just found what I needed. If you'll hold your hand out please?" She arched her brows at him. She could wait. She had only one barb in her hand after all, and this seemed to be all her doing as best she could tell. She waited, tweezers at the ready.
