Belladonna had been made rich by the advanced technology that was developed there, numerous lacrima based technological wonders had been built in Belladonna and as a result of that the city had become very rich. This wealth had allowed Belladonna to build great a many expensive affluent examples of wealth and money, one such example was a massive elaborate mall with pretty much any and every shop you could imagine; harmonies, weapon shops, clothing stores, restaurants, theatres and pretty much each and every kind of store you could ever hope to find. It was this mall that Xiayu Serpentera, the half snake female, was visiting, with the intention of doing some serious shopping. It wasn't often that Xiayu went clothes shopping, after all when you needed special clothes it was often difficult to find the ones you wanted, however today Xiayu was prowling for cute T-shirts and assorted accessories. As Xiayu slithered through the mall she received a lot of strange looks from people, after all it was not every day you saw a giant snake women slithering around the store. Xiayu was rather busty, and as such she tended to need larger sized clothing than the average female, which you could kind of blame on her perverted owner, even though it hadn't been intentional on his part. Xiayu, once upon a time, used to be a perfectly normal snake but her owner had been experimenting on Chimeras, and how to artificially create them via blood magic. The way this mage had found to grant Xiayu her part human form was to use blood from a human female, combine it with magic and a lot of complicated magical stuff that the half snake female had never learnt. Anyway due to the women who "donated" her blood Xiayu ended up slightly, okay well a LOT, bustier than the average women, anyway moving on from that weird topic. Xiayu had clothes to pick out did she not? Xiayu's sense of fashion lead her to prefer expensive clothing and colours, ones that used rich purples, vibrant greens, elegant browns and valuable golds in their design, like her current outfit, and that was when she was picking out the clothes that involved golden threads in their design. Overall Xiayu had picked out two very high fashion blouses with fur colours, employing a lot of golden threads and dark purples in their design. Apart from these shirts Xiayu had set her eyes on a very pretty looking jacket, made from black leather with fur cuffs around the ends of the sleeves. It was while Xiayu was slithering through the store towards the changing rooms that she got distracted by a rather cute pair of glasses..and as a result walked into one of the other customers in the store. The women Xiayu accidentally crashed into had chocolate brown hair, and it just so hoped to be Karen but Xiayu didn't know the women's name "Oh my, I am so sorry for that... I was distracted by the most delightful pair of sunglasses..." with a giggle Xiayu smiled at the human girl with the chocolate brown hair. |

Karen had, after finally finding a place to stay, decided to spend the day in Belladonna--a place she'd heard was as sophisticated as it was advanced; not that Karen was a particularly sophisticated young lady(indeed, she was less of a "polite curtsy to the host" type and more of an "already ate all the horderves, leaving now" type in regards to parties-- or she would be, if she ever worked up the nerve to attend parties), but figured that since she'd be spending the entire day shopping for necessities, she'd do it somewhere fancy and fun. After all, she'd decided, given the embarrassing circumstances that necessitated such a shopping trip, it was only fair that she get some entertainment in exchange. Karen, in her haste to journey into fiore proper, had not packed any spare shirts. Karen didn't discover this until after she'd gotten herself settled in a small, farming town-- where she'd realized that her only clean clothes were ones being reserved for the sort of occasion that made them too embarrassing to wear in public. A shepherd girl had helped her discreetly clean her single wearable outfit, but Karen needed a more permanent solution. Hence, she found herself in Belladonna, standing before the largest store of any kind she'd ever seen. It was called a Mall, and the shepherd girl had stated that they were fun. Karen wasn't quite sure how a giant store could be "fun", but was willing to give it a go. Taking a deep breath, Karen stepped inside...and was immediately met with the site of many colorful shops, stalls, and shoppers all around. "So that's what she meant by it being 'One store, but not really one'; Mall's are Indoor Flea-Markets!" Karen decided, smiling. While she'd never been to a flea market, the concept was familiar enough. Given the space that each store took, Karen decided that these were probably permanent venders entering into long term contracts, rather than peddlers passing through. She smiled; A permanent flea market certainly did seem like fun. Straightening her posture in an attempt to blend in, Karen made her way towards what she deduced was the clothing area (or more accurately, randomly picked a direction) and began walking. "I know i'm supposed to be entertaining myself," Karen thought, "but I dont think I have enough money to be spending on random baubles". Karen sighed, and stopped to get her bearings. If she lost sight of her goals, she was sure to spend all her cash on something completely unecessary--such as the pair of sunglasses that suddenly took her attention. After taking a closer look at the glasses, encased in a display of some sort, Karen chuckled. "How hideous can one pair of glasses get? I'm sure someone would like them, but I cant imagine who--" Karen's train of thought was suddenly interrupted by two rather large lumps of fat smashing directly into her face. Karen was knocked to the floor, and heard a voice as she got her bearings. Speaking of delightful pairs, I hope I didn't hurt her; those looked pretty sensitive Karen idly thought upon hearing the offender's confession. Getting up, Karen prepared to apologize -- and found herself standing before a 6ft tall...monster. Having an upper body like something out of an old Lacrima video, and a very obvious lower half belonging to a snake, Xiayu stood before Karen. Karen mentally shrugged; the City was apparently home to all sorts of interesting people. She was glad she'd chosen to go to Fiore; who knew what sorts of new things there were to see? "Don't worry about a thing, Miss; accessories as -- " Karen cringed a little as she looked back at the hideous sunglasses "--distracting as those have a way of robbing us of our better sensibilities. Besides, I had no business standing so idly in such a busy area.". Karen smiled; this young lady before her seemed nice enough, and not particularly busy. She extended her hand. "My name's Karen. I'm new to this city, and this 'mall'; you wouldn't happen to know where proper T-shirts and things are sold, would you?" Edited by Anta, Dec 21 2014, 04:51 AM.

The pair of glasses that distracted Xiayu weren't something she'd call ugly, in fact she found them to be really gaudy and quite flashy, whether that was something Xiayu liked or not was undecided. The glasses were an elegantly designed and rather flashy piece of work, with long elaborate handles curved into butterfly wings and honestly...Xiayu didn't really like them, in fact the only thing about those glasses Xiayu even liked was the colour. It was when Xiayu bumped into Karen, or more specifically her endowed chest did, that the human girl found herself being knocked to the floor. Xiayu would have extended her hand to assist Karen in standing up, but she didn't exactly need to, after all the human female managed to climb to her feet without any assistance. Judging from the look that Karen gave Xiayu, the half-snake assumed this human had never seen somebody so obviously inhuman. Xiayu didn't really care if Karen forgave her or not, after all it was a simple mistake that the half-snake knocked this human female to the ground. However, on the other hand Xiayu was actually relieved to hear that Karen wasn't bothered about being knocked down, and that she wasn't going to make a big scene about it. Karen talked and the half-snake listened, as apparently this human female also disliked those rather gaudy glasses, which was something a certain dark mage agreed with. "Oh yes, that I can agree with, they are a rather gaudy pair aren't they?" Xiayu couldn't imagine what kind of women would ever want to buy those, but whoever it was they probably had a terrible taste in fashion. "Yes..they are distracting..and not in a good way." Having said that the half-snake paused for a moment, granting Karen the chance to speak, which is exactly what she did. Oh so Karen was here shopping for clothes? Now wasn't that interesting? "Sure, I can do that cutie, follow me~" with a fang revealing smile Xiayu slithered to another portion of the store. The portion of the store that Xiayu directed Karen to was a literally shirt heaven, filled with every kind of shirt you could ever imagine, and yes it did cater to both genders. "Well these are the shirts, there are other stores that sell them but we should start here. Now..what kind of clothes would suit you?" The half-snake slithered around Karen, looking up and down into the same manner as a farmer would appraise an animal, not that Xiayu viewed Karen as an animal at a market. "Hmm..average body shape..chocolate brown hair...athletic..hmmm....let me think...how does this look?" reaching towards a nearby rack of clothes Xiayu took a simple red T-shirt with a black tick printed on it, it was hardly anything fanciful but Karen didn't exactly seem like the person who wore fancy clothing. If Karen didn't like the T-shirt that Xiayu picked out the half-snake had other options she could pick from. On the subject of other options Xiayu had decided that she was actually going to give Karen a complete and utter make over; shirts, trousers, shoes, everything. |

Karen smiled, glad that the person she'd met seemed so helpful. Following Xiayu as she slithered on, Karen took the opportunity to people watch; though she was disappointed that Snake people were evidently a rarity, Karen did find a number of interesting sorts. One individual, however, caught Karen's focus. Sporting a purple robe and a hat, Karen would have thought him a scribe of some sort, which while interesting was nothing new; The fact that the individual was quite literally a humanoid frog is what kept her looking. The frog's eyes darted confusedly around, as though searching for something, And Karen -- fearing being seen looking lest her curiosity seem rude, focused on following the snake girl she'd met. Idly scanning her guide, Karen quickly came up with an amusing quip. "We've got a Frog and a Snake; all we need is a Fly person, and we've got a full food chain" she thought, smiling. She meant nothing rude by this, though avoided saying it out loud in case it was insensitive, and her thought was more of an observationary quip than anything else; clearly, Fiore was an incredibly varied place. Karen's distracted musings were interrupted as her guide slithered to a halt. Karen looked to where they'd stopped, and was immediately awash with wonder. Before her stood more shirts in more styles than she'd ever known existed; everything from halter tops to blouses, in addition to many things Karen couldn't quite place into a known category, all stood just behind the glass windows of the shop. Karen, having pressed her face against the glass for a better look, scanned through the huge selection, wondering which selections wouldn't break her budget. As Karen looked at something that could only be described as a mini-dress crossed with an ancient warrior's tunic, she remembered another limitation; almost all of these beautiful shirts were far too...embarrassing to wear. Karen frowned, letting herself slide downwards across the glass. " No fair! Why do I have to hate wearing all the good clothes?" she thought, turning red; she imagined herself wearing the mini-dress, causing her blush to cover her entire face. "Boo to you, embarrassment! Boo, I say!" Midway through her rant of defiance, Karen realized that the snake girl had already entered the store. Hurriedly composing herself, Karen followed, catching up just in time to be...appraised. Slithering all around her, Xiayu looked her over like a hungry animal. "Sorry, miss, but im not really feeling like a dinner date--especially not if i'm the main course" Karen thought, ready to bolt at any moment...till she was handed a rather tame red T-Shirt. For all her snakey, hungry movements, Xiayu seemed genuinely interested in helping. Karen relaxed; she'd been fine with Xiayu before, and other than some strange movements, nothing had really changed. Karen smiled, and looked at the Tick Print T-shirt. It wasn't nearly as interesting as the other clothes she'd seen, but it was very cool (with the print keeping it interesting), practical, and it seemed like it really fit her image well; in short, while it didn't look as impossibly awesome as the other shirts she'd been looking at, it looked fun to wear, and definitely what Karen was looking for. "Miss, this is just what I needed!" Karen happily exclaimed. "Thank you so much!" Holding it close to herself to see how well it fit, Karen excitedly struck a sudden actiony pose...a pose which she dropped awkwardly the second she felt someone's eyes on her. Looking around a bit, Karen resumed examining the shirt more normally. She was elated, and was about to thank the other woman once again-- before remembering something rather important. "Hey, uhh...I never got your name." Karen said. the thought occurred that the woman hadn't introduced herself because of some other circumstance, and Karen shrank back, and looked shyly to the side. "You know, if its alright...if not, that's fine too" she clarified, the sound just barely escaping loudly enough to be heard. Edited by Anta, Dec 22 2014, 06:38 AM.

If Karen had any objection to following Xiayu's lead when it came to fashion, the human didn't speak up and that was, well to be honest the snake lady didn't care. While slithering to the store with all the shirts you could ever want, which was apparently named "shirt central", Xiayu spotted a women that looked just like a frog, well she didn't look exactly like a frog but her clothing and make up did in fact bring to mind frogs. Like Karen Xiayu had noticed the frog girl searching for something, but beyond that the half-snake couldn't say she cared that much. Still one observation that Xiayu made about the frog girl was she happened to have a certain element of cuteness around her, which was strange given how she looked so much like a frog.. or perhaps the reason why Xiayu felt she looked cute was because she looked vulnerable, and that was probably only because Xiayu had eaten frogs in the past. It had brought a chuckle to Xiayu's lips to see Karen press her nose against the glass window of the store, did this human girl really like the selection of shirts that much? Or was she simply amazed to see so many shirts in one place? It was probably the latter of the two as Karen didn't exactly seem like a women experienced in city life; perhaps he moved to Belldonna from one of the smaller towns or villages out in the wilder parts of Fiore? Once Karen finished gawking slack jawed at the vast array of shirts on offer, the two females ventured inside and soon got to work. Back during her years as a simple Boa Constrictor Xiayu had been well, rather predatory in her actions, after all she was a predator naturally, and now that she had achieved a humanoid form and sapience, that predatory way of behaving carried over. Perhaps it was because of this but Karen seemed afraid that Xiayu was going to eat her, which as understandable given how the half-snake had been eyeing her up and down the same way a snack would a mouse. Xiayu had long hunted animals that were afraid of her and from this she was able to tell when people were on edge, such as Karen, whose body language betrayed her. "Awwww, don't worry sweetie~ It would be a shame to rid the world of somebody as cute as you~ Plus I don't eat people, you're not exactly the easiest food to eat, not that I've eaten any in the past" It would probably be bets if Xiayu learned to control her natural predator instincts a little better but she really din't care, they are as much a part of her as her own tail, so to tell Xiayu to stop slithering around like a snake on the prowl would be to tell her to cut her own tail off. The act that showed Karen Xiayu meant her no harm was the offering of a T-shirt, which made sense when you thought about it, but the point was that Karen had relaxed. It seemed that the half-snakes appraisal of Karen and her fashion choices were indeed correct, as the human girl seemed very happy to have received the red shirt. "I knew you'd like that shirt..we can buy you a couple of ones like that and then..hmm...do you have any fancy clothes? For smart occasions?" It was too late for Karen if she had hoped to get out of this with just a simple T-shirt. Once Karen accepted the T-shirt and took a hold of it she did something that was rather strange, but not in a bad way, in fact the half-snake found it quite endearing. People liked to pose when they had clothes but that tended to only be in private or around people they felt relaxed around, which was why it was so strange for Karen to strike an action pose when she got a hold of the T-shirt. How did the half-snake react to this? Well for starters she found it very...amusing, and laughed as a result but not out of meanness, she simply found Karen's pose quite amusing and more than a little endearing. There really wasn't any other way the dark mage responded, so let's move on. "No need to thank me sweetie, it's not often I get to help people out with fashion~" And now came the part of the conversation for the exchanging of names, as in the excitement of having somebody to assist in a makeover Xiayu had completely forgotten to give out her own name. "My name is Xiayu Serpentera, my hmm..master isn't one for names" The half-snake noticed that Karen whispered something barely audible as she shrank back, but whatever it was the dark mage hadn't heard it. |

Karen had shuddered at Xiayu's implication, but was too busy blushing from the her compliment to notice. "Well, if i'm a mouse to her at least i'm a cute one" she thought. While Karen hadn't immediately relaxed until being offered clothing, this little joke had put her more at ease. Still basking in the glow of the compliment well after she'd made her enthusiasm towards the shirt known, Karen was faced with a question that was...less than comfortable. "...Actually, i'm not really in need of formal wear right now, but I appreciate the offer." Thinking on her hasty departure and the poor decisions that led to it, Karen couldn't help but chuckle at the question's wording. Karen was a very clever person, and would have gone to Fiore at some point anyways; yet, the circumstances under which she left were certainly not her brightest moment. After all, Karen was too poor to afford "smart" clothes as a result of her...less than brilliant decision to head to fiore without preparing. Karen, having decided that the shirt would be more than adequate, made a motion to make it clear that she would return quickly, and set off in search of a bag or a basket. She walked towards the entrance of the store, holding the shirt; just out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a customer examining the mini-dress she'd been looking at earlier--accompanied by someone who looked like an employee of the shop, enthusiastically filling out a sheet of some sort. Karen spotted a stack of baskets as soon as she forced herself to look away from the tragic scene. "Alas, Karen, that happiness is not yours to enjoy" she thought. Resigned to losing the dress forever, Karen retrieved her basket, deposited the shirt, and returned to the enthusiastic snake she'd met. Acting as though her spurt of fearful second guessing hadn't happened at all (indeed, her acquaintance hadn't seemed to notice it) Karen regained composure and smiled. "Well, it's a pleasure to be properly introduced, Miss Xiayu!" Karen said. recognizing the second part of Xiayu's answer as something of an aside, Karen ignored it. Her thoughts turned to what Xiayu had said prior...that she was happy to help with fashion. If it could make noise, Karen's coin purse would have screamed for mercy. Karen herself, not being one for screaming, simply cleared her throat and responded. "Your help is greatly appreciated...And I admit, I could use some fancier clothes..." Karen said. Looking at the shirt she'd been recommended, Karen frowned; with her current allotted funds, she'd be able to afford about three of them. That was more than enough to handle the situation that brought Karen to the mall, but it was clear that Xiayu wanted to go further. Karen didn't want to refuse the kind woman's help, but even with this small purchase, she would just barely have enough money for a cup of coffee or two..."Wait, that's it!" Karen realized, suddenly grabbing Xiayu by the hand. "...but you've done so much for me just with this gesture, so let me properly thank you!" Karen said. "I'll treat you to coffee, or some other sort of drink...I assume this mall has a shop like that somewhere, right?" Karen did feel grattitude, but was also acting out of an urge to defend her currently limited funds. Slacks, skirts, and other things were all clothing that Karen wanted, and she truly did want to, as she'd silently decided to call it, "just lay back like a paralyzed mouse and let the snake do as she would (as long as it wasn't being eaten, and exclusively involved fashion). Afterall, such a day sounded quite fun. Alas, Karen had left town with very little, and the rest of her money and goods wouldn't be delivered for some time. In short, if only for a while, Karen was broke. Edited by Anta, Jan 8 2015, 01:36 AM.

One thing Xiayu didn't get was why people were so afraid of her, or more accurately why they felt nervous in her presence. Sure she did act in a rather predatory fashion and yes, she did give off the air of a predator with the way she moved but why did people assume she was going to eat them? Yes Xiayu was half snake but she was also you know, a sentient life form and it wasn't exactly a common occurrence for them to commit cannibalism, even though technically Xiayu was a different race than humans. Something that utterly curbed Xiayu's enthusiasm, and causing her to pout, was Karen rejecting the offer of getting a complete make over. It was a real shame, especially as Xiayu would have paid if Karen lacked the money, but if the human girl wanted to reject the offer then that was her prerogative. "Awww...that's a shame..." Despite how the half-snake was well aware that Karen had the right to object, Xiayu was still well... disappointed to hear that. When Karen waved a hand to indicated that she was going to collect a basket, the snake decided that she should probably grab herself some clothes, after all that was why she was here. While Karen was away grabbing a basket for half, Xiayu examined the rack of T-shirts but sadly there wasn't anything here that suited her. The kind of clothes that the half snake wore were of a more exotic nature, with vibrant colours and intricate designs, nothing quite so simple as a T-shirt. It was a shame that Xiayu had been distracted by her perusing of the shirts, or else she would have noticed Karen looking longingly at the mini-dress. If only the half-snake knew that Karen wanted the mini dress, she would have bought it for her, as an act of friendship. Strangely, despite having her origins in a snake Xiayu was quite quick when it came to making friends and more than a little bit generous, okay she was actually really generous when it came to friends and people she liked. After the introductions were out of the way, in which Xiayu was glad to see that Karen was polite, the human girl said she needed some fancier clothes, in addition to being grateful for the offer of help. Hearing this Xiayu's hopes at having a chance to give Karen a proper make over bubbled back up, but then were instantly pushed back down when Karen refused. "Awww..are you sure? I don't mind buying it for you.." It surprised the half-snake to hear that Karen wanted to do something to thank her, not because the snake mage wasn't used to being thanked, but because she didn't really deem picking out a single shirt as something worth being thanked over. Were the dark mage less greedy, and had slightly better morals, she would have refused this act of generosity, but alas Xiayu wasn't that type of person. "Ohhh I do like a good cup of coffee..and yes. Do please follow me~" Pulling her hand free of Karen's, the half-snake slithered out of the store, assuming that Karen had paid, and lead the human girl to a rather quaint coffee shop. The coffee shop was very... well coffee shop like. the palette of colours were all warm and relaxing, deep browns and soft cream colours, with views over the mall's central fountain; the coffee shop was designed and built to be a relaxing environment. Xiayu lead her newly found human friend to this coffee shop and got them a table, which had couches instead of chairs, and that was a good thing. As Xiayu had a tail instead of legs sitting down on a normal chair was quite difficult for her, hence why she had picked this table out over all of the others. Oh and in addition to the comfortable couches, this table also commanded one of the best views over the fountain I mentioned before. Xiayu pulled herself onto one of the sofas and sprawled out, taking up pretty much all of the space; luckily there was a second couch that Karen could sit her rump upon. "So, what do you think? It's a nice place isn't it?" If Karen checked the menu she would see common coffee shop foods, things like teas, coffees, cakes, a few sandwiches and simple hot foods like jacket potatoes, soups and tuna melts. Karen had been to a number of coffee shops, but never for very long; her typical strategy was to leave as soon as her order was ready, and find somewhere alone to drink it. Self-conciousness prevented extended stays at such areas, though Karen always thought spending time at one would be cool to do. Now, standing before the nicest coffee shop she'd ever seen, Karen's nervousness crept up once more. Thousands of eyes seemed to be peering at her (though not a single patron of the shop was even looking in her direction) and Karen felt almost nostalgiac; such fear of not "belonging" was just like home. Xiayu slithered on ahead, and it was as though all Karen's fears vanished. "...I guess not being alone helps with that" Karen concluded, entering shortly after. The coffee shop featured something of a lounge area, overlooking the mall's nearby fountain, just a short distance from the counter, and this was where Karen's new friend led her. The specific table they ended up at was one of low-set kinds accompanied by sofas instead of chairs, and Karen was about to remark on her friends excellent tastes -- as comfortable sofas won out against chairs every time in Karen's mind -- when said friend snaked her way onto said sofa. "Come to think of it, She probably chose these seats out of necessity" Karen realized, staying her tongue; Such a large and full snake-body probably made sitting on ordinary chairs quite a challenge, and Karen worried about making her new friend feel self conscious. Sitting herself down near-- but not quite right next to-- Xiayu, Karen picked up one of the four menus that were strewn about the table, and looked through it with interest. Most of the coffee shops Karen had been to featured very little in the way of food, save for some coffee cake or bear claws; this one seemed to have a selection more fitting of a large cafe, featuring a variety of foods Karen had never heard of. Karen was about to ask Xiayu if she knew what "Jacket Potatoes" were when she realized that she was doing a disservice to her friend by not sitting...closer. Mustering her courage, Karen still couldn't help but turn a little red as she scooted herself nearer to Xiayu with as much subtlety as possible. Taking a "subtle" deep breath afterwords, Karen settled in to her new seat. She smiled. Being this close to someone in a public area was actually pretty fun. In response to Xiayu's question, Karen nodded. "Yes; in fact," she started, smiling warmly at her new friend, "I think I might have a new favorite coffee shop." Karen, sitting close enough to actually feel Xiayu, couldn't help but wonder if she warm blooded or cold blooded. she was warm enough, but that was hardly an indication. "Since she's literally half n' half, it could really go either way" Karen thought, briefly entertaining the idea that the top half was warm blooded while the bottom was cold blooded. What little knowledge she had of biology dispelled this humorous notion, leaving Karen to focus on her friend's proximity once more. "She's warm enough, if today is any indication. Karen decided. She relaxed, and looked through the menu at the various coffee blends. Edited by Anta, Dec 28 2014, 02:00 AM.

Xiayu made sure she was comfortable on the sofa, taking up most of the space but leaving enough behind for Karen, as she sprawled her rather large and bulky tail out. It occurred to the half snake that she was fairly hungry, no she didn't swallow her food whole due to how unpleasant it was, hence why she took a menu herself and perused the contents. When Karen sat down next to Xiayu, the half-snake smiled at her, unaware of just how nervous the human female was which was probably a good thing, as the dark mage could be rather passionate about things. This passion, while usually a good thing, often made the half-snake more than a little overbearing, especially when it came to "helping" people. The purple haired female was used to a life of luxury and fine food, which you can thank her "owner" for, and that was why the snake-mage's eyes instantly focused on one specific part of the menu, a delightful sounding cream tea and a bacon cheese melt. The distance Karen put between herself and the half-snake was not something that upset Xiayu, well it would have once a upon a time but that was when she was younger and immature, nowadays it didn't really bother her much, despite being a sign of fear and caution. The half-snake was used to people being cautious and down right afraid of her, after all not only was she a dark mage, the "adopted daughter" of a rather dangerous man but she was also half-snake, and snakes had long been viewed as evil and un-trustworthy. Perhaps because of these experiences the dark mage was surprised when Karen moved closer to her, but what really surprised the dark mage was Karen's blush. From what the half-snake knew about humans and the "game of people" she knew that people blushed when embarrassed, or in love, both of which would make good stock for some entertainment. "Hm...I'll order...oohhh bacon and cheese melt sounds lovely...have you ever had a cream tea Karen?" and with a playful smirk, Xiayu loosely wrapped the end of her tail around Karen's waist. To say that the dark-mage was happy to hear Karen found a new favorite coffee shop would be an understatement, the purple haired female was ecstatic to hear that Karen had a new favorite. This coffee shop, although technically it was more of a small cafe, happened to be a place that the half-snake utterly adored, hence why she was happy to hear Karen had picked it out as her favorite. "Oh I am pleased to hear that, this little coffee shop is a delightful place" Xiayu giggled and reached upwards with the tip of her tail, using it to gently tap Karen on the noise. Moments later a waitress walked over and smiled sweetly. This waitress had auburn hair and the face of a country girl, which probably added to the rustic charm of the establishment she worked for. In a world where rather a lot of the coffee shops and small time cafes happened to be chain branches, it was nice to see small time business successful enough to stay in business, without needing to be bought out by a bigger branch. "Hey there sweeties, how can I can take your order girls?" with a smile, the waitress had her pen and pad ready to go. |

Karen wasted no time in pushing Xiayu's troublesome tail away, making her bounderies very clear; the blush had all but vanished, replaced with an expression that seemed to say "nope" in the nicest possible way. (WIP) |
