Mission Details Hours had passed and soon the time where the group can mobilized finally arrived. Everyone in the van should have gotten their fair share of rests, especially the bodyguards who will risk their lives for the safety of the band members. The smoke mage did had his fair share of sleep as he can rest light while keeping awareness in his surroundings, this is something he learned doing when one needed to sleep in the wild. There was no attack in the van or in the area, although there is another mini explosion that happened inside the guild, probably just some out of control party going on again.The first thing the smoke mage did is light a stick of cigarette, although it is still odorless and practically transparent before confronting the leader of the bodyguards, Spades. The first order of business the smoke mage wanted to talk about with the man is their preparations they needed to do against their target. The smoke mage know that the man didn't want to take a break and just head there immediately but still, it has its dangers and right now at least they have a chance. "Morning Spades, well leaving the greetings aside, we need to discuss our strategy against these extremist. We don't want to let what happened yesterday repeat." the smoke mage said hoping for some kind of plan they could come up with, especially for a big powerful lightning coming from above. "I wonder if we can have some sort of lightning rod to redirect such attacks or something, maybe a way to warn us about them so I can put up a defence before it hits." the smoke mage wondered as he ponder if there could be more extremist that will attack them aside from the three. |

When Toshiro woke up the guards were already awake and doing their morning routine to wake up fully energized, which was screaming and doing unnecessary exercises. Diamonds was focusing on a book, trying to force the page to turn with his 'mind' while Spades watched; Clubs was upside down on the wall moving his butt up and down, while saying something about 'twerking being the newest thing', and Hearts was bouncing in place with one hand tapping his head and the other rubbing his belly. When Toshiro came down they stopped after about a minute, since Toshiro walked up to Spades and talked to him about strategies. "We can't make a floating lightning rod, non of us have floating magic unfortunately, and if we attach it to the van it'll electrocute all of us. But.. I THINK we have a way to spot the lightning bolt, it's a scan that's used to forecast the weather above our heads." The van had a radar that was built specifically to predict rain for the van, to give them time to park and wait for it to pass. Diamonds noticed that when the lightning bolt was about to hit the radar sent a signal confusing it for a dangerous cloud over their heads. Other then that they didn't have much else. Unless Toshiro had an idea. "Is that all? We're on a short schedule as it is, and we'd like to get on the road now. We can talk about the details on the way to Trillium, but I am pretty sure there isn't a mechanism in this van that will help us against those three mages." Diamonds sighed, this is not going to be a good day for him. They will have to really hurry and suffer little to no resistance from the environment and those three mages to make it on time. He only hoped that the rest was worth it, because now he felt like danger was given the thumbs up to show up at their door. They put the needed code on the van and waited for Toshiro to finish everything before they left on the road. Whatever Toshiro had planned to help defend the RV, like th elightning rod as an example (if that's what he wants to put on) needed to be done soon. |

It seemed that the guards are an early bird type of people as they have already rested well enough when morning came. Some of them are doing some noteworthy exercises while some are doing something unorthodox that the smoke mage doesn't even understand. Still his conversation with the one in charge is necessary to increase their change of success and survival, something they must do once more but this time, no one should die. So far, the smoke mage does wonder what they could do at least for another sudden attack from the fanatic, especially against the lightning strike that killed their leader immediately. Spade would soon respond to the smoke mage that they couldn't float a lightning rod as no one there could do so, if they put it on the van surely it would fry them all. The man then open up to the smoke mage about a radar they used to sense weather changes and this involved the lightning strike from earlier. This intrigued the smoke mage as they could use it to avoid the lightning or at least put up a defensive barrier before it actually strike them. The smoke mage does wonder if he could put up a smoke barrier fast enough but the bigger problem would be, what if he is busy enough doing something else. "I see, well we could maybe put a lightning rod into some sort of energy storing device, like some kind of battery. So if it strikes down it could be diverted there and let the energy store there and possibly use it for future use. If we can't then maybe I can just come up with a way of diverting the lightning away from us using a lightning rod and my magic." the smoke mage does wonder if there is anything like that, or at least anything that is capable of holding the amount of power in a device. "I do wonder sometimes, if we could take advantage of that katana guy's weapon and use it some sort of lightning rod." the smoke mage added as he wonder about it. "Hmm... when they attack us... no other victims were harmed. So they are just basically aiming for us and does care about the civilians. Maybe we could disguise the van and make it look like any civilian van might work. After all, they know about the look of this van so there could be a chance that they would not attack us..." the smoke mage suggested as he does try to come up with some ideas or plans for them to be more protected or at least avoid some encounters along the way. Spades looked at Toshiro for a brief moment, thinking the mage was insane, before Diamonds interrupted the conversation between the two. "The lightning rod idea might work if your magic is involved. Since you control and create smoke, or hardened smoke, it should definitely be possible." Spades blinked, looked like the smoke mage had a good idea after all. He put his thumb and index finger under his chin and closed his eyes. "If you can create that around the van, and keep it up, then it shouldn't be a problem. But we don't really have a way to create lightning rods like that without damaging the van otherwise." That's when Toshiro mentioned using the man's weapon as a lightning rod. "I doubt it, but we can try. The sword looked metallic, but we'd have to get close enough to use it. Not to mention there's always the chance that they took 'accidental electrecution' into consideration when they gave him the metallic weapon and decided to have a safety measure. Either way, it's too risky." Then an idea was thrown that didn't seem like a bad one. They could also disguise the van to look like a normal one from the outside. Nobody in the group had magic for that though, and it wasn't like one of the stars had that sort of magic floating around (plot hax only happens so often in life it seemed). Spades had to ask the obvious to Toshiro. "How will we disguise it?" Clubs interrupted this conversation, ending his twerking, without sounding too pleased. "Unless you know someone that can transform this van from the outside into something else, like NOW, we need to go. We are already way behind schedule, and WILL arrive too late if we don't leave soon." West looked at the group, "Damn man, we hired sum strong ass nikus for diz sheit. Was that guy twerking this entire time? I feel like I'm in good hands." Diamonds looked at him, "You are not contributing the conversation at all." He scuffed, "Are you implying that I am jus' here to check if my magic has any sort of horrible side effects? You lie. You jus' a big liar." Some distance away was the three enemies they faced earlier. The short haired and red-eyed swordsmen was sitting on the edge of a simple twin sized bed. On the other side of him was the lightning fighter, still sleeping. Flint didn't have a shirt, while Jester had no pants or shirt; evident by his leg sticking out of the sheets with no covering on them and the bare chest that stood out of the covers on the top. At the window was the long haired man that Toshiro fought briefly, Sir Cross. His eyes maintained themselves in the direction of Fairy Tail, and his eyes were currently a light green color with numbers streaming down his pupils. "What are they doing, Cross?" Asked Flint, with Jester slowly moving his face at that moment. He was fazed by the noise but not enough to wake up. "They're talking. I can't listen to it at the moment, not with this distance. They're probably planning their defenses." Everyone already knew that with this wasted night they could very easily just slow them down and the van wouldn't make it to the destination. The strategy conversation continued a bit as Toshiro think of other ways to increase their survivability inside the van. The others are worried that his decision for everyone to rest up before leaving might be a bad one seeing that they might end up with less time to get there and higher chance of encounter along the way but this is why they need to have a way to protect themselves. If they left immediately they couldn't get anything that could help them defend but now they could get some equipment from the guild before leaving. "I might be able to get some metal rods from the guild before we go. So with the van's weather detection device, those should take care of the lightning bombardment from above." the smoke mage said as it could work if they figure out when to use their defence strategy. The conversation regarding using the katana guy's weapon as a rod did pop up but it might be difficult to use it seeing they don't know what the material of the katana is really. All they could know, it might not be a conductor for electricity. Then there is the disguise the van plan, it could work but they don't have anything to change it from the outside. Painting and adding details might take more time than they need so it is highly impossible, most they could do is cover it with leaves and branches and drive in the forest like it is on camouflage. "Yeah, using their own weapon against them might be hard. They may have a countermeasures for that." the smoke mage respond. "As for the disguise part, it would take time if we do it thoroughly which we don't have. The most we could do is when we reached the forest is cover the van with branches and leaves, if we reached the dirt road just cover the top with dirt. Do some cheap camouflage. I think I could use my smoke magic for that if we are just changing color." Toshiro added. The smoke mage did request from the guild some metal rod, which is wrapped in rubber sheet beforehand. This way it won't attract any lightning unless it was removed from the rubber sheet. Toshiro also got some metallic silverware with him, which he could be used as a cheap lightning rod when needed. He decided to put some of it all inside his pendant where he could keep it safe. After that, they should be able to leave the guild now and head to their destination prepared. Summary

As soon as Toshiro finished talking a foot hit the pedal, and the van was off. An alarm then suddenly resounded through the walls of the big RV that everyone was in. That was the warning that the time to get to the concert on time, or slightly early, began at that moment. There was now no stops, no breaks, nothing that involves slowing down the RV. It was a destination straight to Trillium. The loud motor of the RV woke up the few stars still tired and forced everyone into the realization at hand. "Will there be enough time for them to arrive?" When the RV left the comfort of the Fairy Tail guild the man with long black hair, and green eyes with numbers dropping from the pupils, made a very subtle change in his pose. His head rose slightly higher and his eyes widened, his right hand also grabbed the side of his waist. Flint, the man with short black hair and red eyes, took this sudden change and smirked. "They're moving?" he asked, sounding more like he needed confirmation then an actual question with an open answer. "Yes. We should hurry, they're not slowing down." Flint nodded, and shoved Jester out of the bed with one hand. He rose up, with his black hair and blue highlights (along with the tips of the black hair being dyed blue) sticking out of his head like a puffball that's been weight down by water. "It's time to go, get yourself ready." Jester stood up and stretched, taking his time. "You didn't have to shove me so hard, Flint-kun." Jester said, while fixing his hair with the usual bolt of electricity to the head. His hair then naturally held itself down. The three then got ready, but non of them looked even remotely ready. In fact, it looked like the three were now taking their time with their tasks. Meanwhile, with the large bus that Toshiro was in, Spades couldn't help but talk to Toshiro. "We don't have much time to stop and camouflage the van. We'll have to continue without that. Right now the main issue is the amount of time we have, which the enemy can very easily take away from us." Diamonds scuffed, angry that the group didn't heed his warning. Clubs was confident that they now had energy to confront whatever the enemy threw their way. His priority was that the group survive this encounter. About two hours into the road, and a surprising amount of vehicles they the RV passed, the sound of loud motors could be heard even through the RV. Behind the large bus was, if someone peaked through the window in the back of the vehicle, three motorcyclists with black helmets and very familiar black clothes. The motorcycle in the front of the group immediately increased in speed, gaining speed that was 75% faster then the RV was moving. The group didn't have much time to react. One of the two cyclists already started glowing (the one farthest back) while the motorcyclist with long black hair stayed next to him, both were moving 15% faster then the RV. The two motorcycles that were close together were about fifteen meters from the RV, while the other motorcycle was moving closer at a much faster rate. Their sound could be heard at least fifteen seconds before they caught up to the above mentioned distance and initiated their apparent attack. Spades looked at the group heading their way, that's when a realization hit him "D-Damn it! DON'T LET HIM GET TO THE TIRES WITH THAT KATANA!!" Clubs took out his pistol, Diamonds readied his magic, and Hearts summoned his sniper and tried to hurry and find the nearest exit to the top of the van. They all hoped Toshiro would have an idea for the situation. |

The time has finally come when the group is ready to go. There was an alarm inside the van when they left, signalling that it is time for them to leave the convenience space of the guild of Fairy Tail. The van drove off from Magnolia as it set off towards its new destination, Trillium. Everyone inside seemed prepared for the travel and from what the smoke mage gather, it will a bit hectic seeing that it will be a nonstop travel from now on as they have a schedule to follow. The smoke mage did managed to acquire the items he requested from the guild, signing them off as guild mission related purchase as he made sure he had them within the van for future use. As they continue to travel on the road, so far nothing really extra ordinary happens. The smoke mage made sure that one of the bodyguards will be checking the device for any possible distortion on the weather in the area, which is basically lightning bolts while some of them would look every angle outside the van. One should be checking their back, while some on the sides just in case there are some sudden attacks coming from any side of the van. There should be someone looking ahead though so far everything they noticed are the other vehicles they have passed through on the road. So far so good, nothing seemed out of the ordinary that is until a few hours had passed. The guards soon noticed some motorist speeding ahead from the back like they are chasing after something. It then came to them that the three could be the one that attacked them on the concert as they could reach them in moments due to their much faster vehicles. One of them started glowing, which looked bad for some reason, while the two went ahead closing the gap between the van. Spades then announced that they need to protect the tire from the katana guy who seemed to be approaching. "Damn it, so they intend to attack us on the road." the smoke mage couldn't help but comment on the matter as he started to puff smoke from the cigarette in his mouth. "Someone check the scan on the weather if there is an anomaly and make sure to inform me about it. We cannot take any chance of lightning hitting on us while we are inside the van. Also, is it possible to take a path with less vehicles to avoid vehicular collisions?" the smoke mage said informing whoever is near and could see the device for the weather forecast. The smoke mage is also concern of what he could and couldn't do in such situation due to the possibility of harming other innocent bystanders. The smoke would then gather the smoke he had puff as soon as someone opened the window, the smoke mage would make his move. So far there are a lot of things Toshiro need to account for, one would be the safety of the van and its passengers, two would be the safety of the other vehicles driving along with them and lastly would be taking out the three motorist and prevent them from following them or at least stop them from damaging the van and prevent them from continuing to Trillium. So Toshiro might need to make sure he doesn't harm any of the bystanders. With that in mind, the smoke the smoke mage manipulated outside the van suddenly solidify as it started to move like it is dancing, turning it into a smoke tendrils. As soon as the motorist come close to the van, the smoke tendrils would lash out at them trying to knock them off their motorbike. Smoke would still come out from the van as Toshiro is just making sure to have a smoke ready in case lightning would strike them. So if there is a disturbance in the scanners, then the smoke mage would immediately use the smoke to form a defensive barrier around the van. Summary

The lightning surged through one of the bicyclists, while one remained near the glowing body, and the other with a katana charged at the van. Smoke then started to leave the RV like a fire from a house; the smoke turned into smoke tendrils and attempted to knock off the Katana man whom was now trying to cut the wheels of the car. The snake-like tendrils swung at him, and his bike suddenly went to a screeching stop, followed by a swift turn and loud swishing sound that came from the pipe behind the motorcycle. When the bike stopped the tendrills missed, because the range between the biker and the attack increased when he stopped and the van continued moving forward. At that same moment he turned and swished left and right to the back of the van. Hearts was already at the rooftop by this point; he was aiming at who he believed to be flint with his sniper rifle. Clubs was next to him, his hardened skin showing by his lack of fear from the enemies. He took out his pistol and aimed at the motorcycle user, then shot his pistol at him. The man assumed to be flint immediately reacted by tilting his head, the bullet grazed his helmet and landed behind him. At that moment though the sniper fired at the swordsman's left arm, which he dodged by swerving the bike to the right. The bullet moved right by him and went directly for the lightning user. The sniper smiled, up until the bullet bounced off the lightning user. He apparently had a barrier around him. "H-HE CAN MAKE BARRIERS?!" Hearts said, with Clubs right beside him. "Yeah. We need to keep firing, all barriers have their limits." Just like that Clubs aimed at the biker and shot several rounds, one after another, with the biker swerving left and right with the occasional impossible stop that seemed to take place the second he pressed on the breaks. The bike then continued forward like nothing had made it slow down before. "What kind of magic is this?" Hearts asked while aiming his sniper rifle at the lightning user. "It looks like a sort of gravity magic, maybe velocity.. I don't know. He is just unaffected by the things that would slow him down." The smoke tendrils continued to also attack the katana man, but to no avail. His bike skillz were too strunk. Meanwhile, the biker with black long hair created what appeared to be a small fire orb from his palm. He then flung it at the group, seemingly expecting something to happen. The katana man increased his distance from the group at that instant, and maintained himself next to the lightning user. From there every sniper rifle bullet and pistol bullet was intervened by the katana users blade. Diamonds stayed in the car, analyzing the weather radar and using his magic at the same time. Spades stayed next to the stars to make sure nothing would happen to them. Diamonds decided to sit down while watching the radar. This also helped him concentrate on the battle at hand. "Toshiro! Block that attack!" Diamonds said the moment he felt the fire orb coming straight at him. "Those guys are definitely the same three we fought. The katana guy is Flint, the one charging is Jester, and the long haired one has to be that guy.. Cross." He felt the energy surging from the lighting user.  "That attack.. we won't be able to block it this time. I can tell, this attack can't be shielded against if it goes off. We'd have to either dodge it, or clash with the attack directly." |

The fight suddenly started on the road like the other vehicles there were suddenly put on hold and all that remains are the van and the three motorist chasing it down. The attack that the smoke mage did fairly okay as it did managed to prevent one of the motorist with the katana to cut down the tire but it did failed to take the guy out. The smoke tendrils only has a good enough range to protect the van at some point plus they are on a moving platform so it is much difficult to attack. Meanwhile the other guards started shooting down on the other motorist as it looked like the one with the lightning continued to use its barrier to protect them. They are much farther behind so it is probably much harder to attack them with Toshiro's magic without causing problems with the accuracy and effectively. Still the van is doing well at the moment as it hasn't sustain any damage yet or slowed down in the process but they still need to handle the three motorist who are trying to prevent them from continuing. From what Toshiro could assume the three are doing, the katana guy is going ahead to distract them while trying to stop them, the two guys at the back are using barriers to protect themselves while somehow trying to charge up for some kind of attack. This worries the smoke mage as it could be the same attack that happened before which could devastate them in one blow. The smoke mage soon heard the plea of Diamonds regarding the incoming attack as it looked like a flaming orb is now heading straight at them by the one with the long hair and something is about to go down with the lightning user. Somehow the latter one cannot be blocked but could be avoided at least. "I understand. After I use this spell, try not to go on a straight line so we won't be an easy target." the smoke mage said as he took in a lot of smoke from his cigarette while manipulating the smoke tendrils to merged into one big tendril before shaping it like a spade. The smoke mage would then use the smoke spade to hit on to the fire orb trying to clash with it from behind in hopes to block it. Then the smoke mage would puff out a thick smoke mixed with his magic. The smoke would soon cover the entire area around the van, except the front so the driver could still see, which should block any senses form the enemies. The smokescreen is a special type of cover which should block any sort of senses which means that even magic sensing type wouldn't be able to see through it. With the total cover up, Toshiro just hoped that the attack from the lightning would miss them as it shouldn't know where the exact location of the van is. Also if they do try to enter the total smoke cover, it would be difficult for them to navigate and has a chance of colliding into something there. Toshiro also covered the van in a smoke barrier making it look like an armored van just in case the damage or shockwave would harm them. Summary

Flint continued to deflect every bullet that tried to touch the lightning user. While Hearts and Clubs fired at the two the fireball was launched by Cross and was aimed directly at the van. Just when the sniper was about to fire at it a smoke technique clashed with it, causing a short shockwave to shake the RV. The small fireball, upon touch, immediately turned into a giant fire attack that engulfed the streets. A lot of cars immediately stopped after the fire went off, but none of the civilians were hurt. A few cars made it past the fireball attack and immediately swerved to the side of the road (since they just saw an explosion of fire beside them and were pushed by the force from it). Other cars tried to speed past the van and continue forward, those who couldn't stayed behind on the side of the road. In that moment the sky darkened and the scanners started to go haywire inside the van. Beeping and warning signs covered the entire screen and echoed through the van, even through the sound of gunshots, an explosion, shaking, and the three motorcycle motors and the car's own motor. Beiber decided to cram the others inside a room with him, Wes reinforced this by kicking beiber inside the closet and following shortly after the stars. That closet will be their safe haven for awhile. After the explosion Toshiro created a shroud of smoke around the van, and informed the van to swerve left and right so they wouldn't stay in the same spot. Cross's immediate reaction was to use his sensory magic to look through the smoke, but it didn't help. The smoke completely blocked his eyes, and when he tried to hear the van with another type of sensory magic (hearing) he couldn't either. It didn't take long before the mage figured out that the smoke had that magic ability, that sensory type magic couldn't see what was inside. Flint was about to use this to strike, but was stopped by Cross. "Let them. The lightning strike is more then enough to strike everything inside." And just like that Jester's body sparked and he unleashed a powerful lightning bolt from the sky that seemed like it was at least twice the size of the van. The lightning hit the smoked area and a burst of 45 meters erupted from the attack. The explosion sent the very ground they were driving on to crumble and disappear, while the cement road was all but non-existent. The lightning bolt itself missed the van, but the explosion sent a shockwave and lightning towards the van completely destroying the barrier that Toshiro created for the group. The van struggled to move forward, and swerved to its side, but it continued moving even after the earth crumbled. After the attack the smoke that Toshiro had around the van stayed, but the vehicle had some very obvious exterior damage thanks to the blast. Diamonds spoke, still sitting on the chair but this time biting his lip. "I-I think Jester won't be able to make another attack like that today.. it takes way too much magic to do something like that while still penetrating shields." That's when a thought hit Diamonds. "C-Club and Hearts are still on the roof!" That's when the earpieces activated, Hearts voice was on the other side. "Ugh.. guys, we're still on the roof. Thanks to clubs." A person with good perceptive skills will then notice the fingers that are through the roof; all of the fingers are bent, like one would when grabbing something. "He grabbed the roof so we wouldn't fall off.. but, damn it. I think he dislocated that shoulder." The three enemies remained a fair distance away, even driving through the fire they created and the rubble like it was almost nothing. Probably because they halted when the explosion took place and followed shortly after, right through the rubble. |
