Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Trillium was a city long ruled and known for its corruptible ends. Sure it was a decent city, with safe parts and decent security as the next one. It wasn't like there was out right crime in the streets and martial law. But it was a town well know for its pleasurable nightlife. Houses of ill fame, casinos, and one of which being the rumored guildhall of Raven Tail, one of Fiore's dark guilds.

At that time, it was early evening as the sun was just beginning to go down. Resting in a nearby Cafe was a young woman, looking over the growing nightlife as it began to come out. Ligghts from the buildings began to turn on, brightening the streets. The woman was sitting besides the cafe, a spread of Tarot cards before her.

The mysterious woman was of the dark guild Tartaros. A young woman no older than 21 years old, dressed in a stylish design of witchy clothing. Black with orange trimmings, boots and long fingerless gloves. It was not the most incognito of outfits but considering the town was that of a dark guild, she felt more secure to dress as such. At least no one would really cross her or so she hoped.

In her lap, was her old friend Hex the cat, an adorable black Exceed cat with violet stripes among her black fur, and a witch's hat she wore. The cat was relaxing kindly as Syeena continued to read her cards spread out. To those passing by, she looked like a fortune teller, which in Fiore was not as uncommon as it sounded. In fact Trillium was fond of Fortune tellers, since so many people gambled. But she didn'[t do it for money. Divination through cards was a childhood skill she long developed. She was a witch after all.

Hex yawned in her lap as she looked around at the people passing by. "When are we going to have some fun Syeena?" the cat said, interested to see the casinos for herself.

"No sense to rush," the woman said, "The casino's really start opening up at night."

Why had he wandered here again? A question Alastor found him asking himself as he stepped foot into the city of Trillium, as per usual he had found himself wandering without much thought as to where he was going any time he came upon a crossroad of any sort he'd simply either take a random direction or he'd draw a card for each road and read a slight fate of each route then decide which sounded the most entertaining, sometimes he'd intentionally take the ones that lead to more chaotic outcomes, in hopes of having a little extra fun. Despite of that he always enjoyed these week long walks he could take thanks to his job. There was not the same rush to do a daily deed as long as when the call of duty was heard he'd answer immediately.

But now he was in Trillium again, a place well known for its... Less upstanding citizens, non the less it was always a lovely town when he visited it, he enjoyed the odd mix of good and evil that sat in this place and always tried to read a few people. Seemed people enjoyed hearing their fates or at least have a look at the silly dressed mage. The old battered tophat on his head, a blood red sash around his eyes, the many small additions of beads, tiny skulls and other nick nacks painted him as a witch doctor, though few would ever realize that. Some would call him a shaman, which, he technically were as well, though he preferred the title of witch doctor. The shield hidden under his backpack upon his back and the walking cane in his right hand clenched around his bone white guild mark also marked him clearly as a blind traveler, but there was obviously more to it than that as his own shadow was alive, truly. alive. Moving on its own and observing the city around him.

As he walked he found himself on a semi-busy street, but non the less as he came to a stop near a bench, completely unaware of the people much around him. He felt an urge to read his cards, was he to turn here and get some food, or continue to walk? His belly rumbled for an answer, though he had to admit he was too biased to listen to its opinion, he had snacks in his backpack in plenty still. No. He wanted to figure out, if he was supposed to -buy- food. And so he quickly draw five cards at random from his deck on the side of his thigh and asked "which way do i go?"

2 cards were held in his left, 2 in his right, and a last was held in the middle by his own shadow, the card floating in the air as he read the cards.
"first my two outcomes.
To eat - Dance, reversed, lack of discipline turns fire out of control. And why? Santero, the essence of earth behaving like air. An innate understand of physical reality"
Alastor stopped to hear his belly rumbling, laughing as in a way his prediction to go eat made sense. packing the two cards in his left hand back into the deck.

"To not eat - Nan Nan Bouclou, refusal to be ruled by negative emotions, strife brought to close by will and clarity. And why? Ogoun La Flamebeau, an intense struggle motivated purely by the love of competition. A state of seeming chaos from endless small disputes and complications, a race, debate or challenge." Once more he laughed to himself as this had been what he often would pick. "Seems I can either eat good and relax, or I can have some fun. But one card remains" He spoke as the floating card in the middle turned slowly in the air.

"the middle card, that which shows me the factor that decides what comes to pass. Shi-Li-Bo - opening your heart to simple pleasures. Experiencing the joys of youth.... Well that sort of decides my fate doesn't it?" He asked himself aloud as he packed the cards away and got out a small bag of nuts, chewing slowly as he turned his blind head downwards to Shadow "As I see it, I only get to be young and wild once a life, eating I can always do later."

Syeena looked at the cards that was spread out. It was a promising future she had fortold. The devil, a card of indulgence but warning not to be lost in the thrill of the night. Of course, as a 'dark mage' the prospects of the devil had many interpretations. Either way it was the type of pleasures Syeena indulged from time to time. Another card revealed was the lovers-- though hopefully not the type most people were seeing the card as. The card usually in a casual sense simply meant meeting a new person in a more positive light. Perhaps she would find a new ally or something of that nature. Finally, the seven of wands, representing a situation of courage, resistance and strength. Perhaps this night Syeena would be tested.

But the outcome in fact was not a surprise to her. She had a feeling she would be stirring up trouble anyway.

She had come with a particularly coy goal in mind. One or more of the casinos in the area belonged to the guild known as Raven Tail. It was a guild Syeena hoped to get under the skin of. At a time, she would of considered joining them. She liked their style-- till she learned of their true goals and methods. They were a mafia-like organization, using intimidation for money and violence. NOt her style at all. She turned to Grimore Heart in the interest in their goals involved freedom in its truest form, the pursuit of knowledge outside the norms of the world. That , and her coven had ties to Grimore Heart, so she would of been allowed in warmly.

Realizing Raven Tail was a bit too high on their horse, Syeena decided she would light a fire under their butts, and show them how things worked for her. It was a personal affair for her, not for the sake between guilds. But just she had beef between how Raven Tail did things and wanted to stir things up for them.

Finishing her reading, Syeena soon stood up and put her cards away. "Guess we might as well get going. Time to party," Syeena told her cat friend.

"Yep! Bout time we had a girls' night out," Hex said as she hopped onto the table and looked around. Then suddenly, she saw something that stuck out to her. Or rather, something she knew Syeena would take notice too. "Syeena look! That guy-- he is using cards too! THink he uses your magic?"

Syeena looked to the nearby man, finding him strange. He was dressed in a voodoo-fashon with a white bone face paint mask and his shadow seemed to be alive, holding some of the cards he owned. It was an interesting display. She doubted he used the SAME magic she had, but using card magic was always something that interested her.

"QUite curious indeed," she commented to her cat, wondering what the man was doing. Curious, Syeena in fact slowly strolled her way over to him. "Pardon me. Couldn't help but notice, you use card magic? Or you just saving money reading your own fortune? she asked, her last part more of light jest to break the ice.

Alastor turned his head for a moment, noticing a voice asking about card magic. What more, it seemed directed towards him. He could not help but to giggle and shake his head. "Nah mon, ah ain't a card mage, ah be a witch doctor" he spoke in his old accent, forgetting to speak as was proper to the country. Laughing a bit to himself he coughed once to clear his throat before speaking again. "I don't deal with card magic, but the fates share a little bit about themselves with these cards" He said as he gave the cards on his hip a small clap, on inspection they weren't made of paper, but rather thin layers of steel, throwing cards as some would call it.

Alastor had gotten intriqued though as he bend forward, putting a finger forward towards the odd kitten, attempting to nuzzle it softly with his finger. "Cute kitten, whats his name?" He asked, paying no attention to how he had managed to even know there was a cat, or where it was. Somehow, he instinctively just knew things once in a while, a small comfort for a blind person. "So I assume you're a card mage?" He asked with a grin, as he got closer to the girl, taking a deep breath once close enough "you smell of magic mon". Stepping back once he realized the last part of the lady's question. "I rarely use it for fortune, unless you count good experiences a fortune. In that case I use them in hopes to become the riches person alive" laughing to himself as he finished speaking.

"Wait, can you predict the fates as well?~~"

Syeena looked the man over. He was close to her age if not older, and was defiantly a witch doctor. That much he shared. He merely was a user of the cards in their most traditional form. It was just as anything else. Many people picked up divination for many reasons, and becoming rich was not a horrible reason. "It's always refreshing to meet someone with such a clear understanding of Fate. Nice to meet you," Syeena greeted with a warm if somewhat playful tone.

Alastor noticed Hex, the cute black cat with the witch's hat near Syeena's feet as he got close. He attempted to scratch the cat with the finger. Hex allowed it since he was not grabbing anything, but took offense when he called her a girl. "I'm a girl!" Hex spoke outright, probably would surprise the hell out of guy to hear the cat suddenly talk back to him. Hex was an Exceed cat after all, and she was now half tempted to scratch the man. "What are you blind?" she said in a snappy response, not even aware that Alastor REALLY WAS blind.

Syeena would be embarrassed to hear that fact and wouldn't be happy with Hex afterward.

Answering Alastor's question, Syeena turned back to him. "Yes I can, in fact my magic is a bit complicated but it can very much predict the fates... Well no better than any fortune teller can at least. The future is always changing after all. I can only see the most likley outcome and what paths it could take." she explained, "But my magic also is more focused on this using the power of Exquipt. Its a bit complicated to explain." she shared. Though it probably wasn't wise to just talk so openly, she had a good feeling about him. Like he was kin almost to the witches she grew up with. Unlikely but similar types.

Shadow playfully tipped the old battered tophat, making it float all by itself as Alastor gave a short bow to the girl. "And a pleasure to meet you too, rare to see those who still respect the fates much less believe in them" he spoke with a calm grin. Shadow flipping the hat briefly into the air and letting it land back onto the soft spot of Alastors head. Alastor never left his house without it unless he knew there was a very clear chance of it getting further damaged. It held a lot of value to him after all. So it was only natural he'd want it with him at all times, the very same tophat getting a bit shoved over his head as he retracted his finger quickly from the kitten from before. His voice laughing as he realized how sporatically he had moved his finger away as the cat had spoken. "Well its the first time meeting a talking cat, much less a cute girl like you" he spoke before tapping his head "and yes I'm blinder than the bats you could eat for dinner" giving her a grin as he felt no ill intent about the comment.

It was about then Alastor stopped for a moment and laughed "excuse me, I havn't even introduced myself! Alastor Piscala, Witch Doctor of Fairy Tail and member of team Adamant Soul" He said with a smile "so are you part of a guild as well?" He followed up as he soon after learned that the woman in front of him actually had magic as well! It only furthered his excitement to learn her magic was fate-based, a rare magic and often hard to use as well. It was the kind of magic that even when giving up all you are, affecting more than a city's fate would be hard, much like the old mages of time. A single mage pushing the world back a second was immensely hard. But its value could be worth it all the same.

Alastor gave a short wave at the womans attempt to explain her magic "ah mon, the fates are not to be explained, ya either get it or ya don't and i get enough~ " He said as he turned and stepped around her with a grin, getting onto the back of the bench and plopping down backwards, sitting pretty much upside down on it as his hands met, each finger touching its opposite on the other hand. "Say, tell me about yourself~ Where does your magic originate? Personal thing or family tradition? Tribe? Coven? I wanna know more~" He said with a laugh and patting the steel cards on his side "without using these of course, talking is much faster at giving answers for these things after all!"

Syeena truly felt blessed to find someone with a clear understanding of the fates, and felt foolish that she tried to be subtle about explaining it. IT was obvious that the witch doctor was no stranger to fate and there was no need to give the school version of it.

"He may be blind as a bat," Hex whispered as she hopped onto Syeena's shoulders, watching as Alastor was actually sitting upside down. Truly odd. "But I think he has a few bats loose in the belfry,"

"Hex" Syeena said in a warning tone, knowing how her cat had the bat habbit to be rude at the mouth. "Please pardon my familiar. She is an Exceed cat, and one prone to being very sassy. OH and my name is Syeena. Syeena Fateweaver," she added, giving Hex a not so friendly pat on the head.

She wanted to talk more, but not here, not with the potential of the wrong person overhearing them. "Why don't we discuss this over a drink, " she said, in a teasing tone as she led them towards a more out of the way location.

Syeena didn't like the bench as the topic was a bit sensitive, so she guided him back to the cafe where she had been before and offered him a seat. Hex hopped up onto the table, not really caring and sat down. She would of preferred to go to the Black Cat lounge, where she usually went, but as far as she knew, it wasn't in Trillium at this time, plus she wouldn't want to bring just anyone back to her favorite hang out, considering it was a well known place for dark mages of the higher class to gather.

A member from Fairy Tail... not a smart guest to bring. Plus she knew mentioning she was in Grimore Heart would be a bad thing. Luckily with him blind, he would never see the Grimore Heart Tattoo on her leg.

"Yes, let me explain," Syeena began as she spoke to ALastor. "My family comes from a clan of witches, as you suspected. They are called the Umbra Witches, those who see truth through darkness and use the darkness to keep balance in the world. On the surface, we are viewed as witches who utilize dark magic. But that is a usual misunderstanding. Our clan's worship and follow the teachings of the goddesses of Fate. Among the Fates themselves, there is also Fortuna and Nemesis. Anyway, us witches learned to understand fate, and because of that, we learned how to change our own fates. "

As she explained, she exquipt one of her cards before her, reveling the Magician. She was sure he could sense the power used to draw the card forward. "My magic utilizes exquipt magic to draw forth cards and items that associate to the Tarot, helping with my divination. But there is much more than that. Through the cards and my own magic, I learned to actually change the threads of my own fate and that of others. Actually change fate itself to change events to a limited degree. In a way, its very close to what people know as Lost Magic. Magic that can alter Fate itself is extremely powerful, far more so in my opinion than Time or Space magic." she said, feeling confident her description was indeed revealing to Alastor.
