Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Ranth witnessed Ryan's trick shot assault on the black lad overlord, but it too was caught in whatever force field that surrounded him and drove the bouncing shot into the ground. At the very least, it was useful to see that the man had a few tricks up his sleeve in case Ranth had to fight him over possession of Miss Rhodes once they'd taken care of this hindrance. Still, for the time being the overlord was proving to be one hell of a hindrance as all of their conventional attacks were rendered useless by the man's defensive proximity.

But after observing the acceleration of the debris when Ryan blew a hole in the roof, it became quite obvious that the barrier was in fact a product of gravity magic and while he probably had one hundred and one ways to stop a projectile attack from any direction, he'd probably have a much harder time dealing with what Ranth had in mind for his next trick. "Watch and you'll see", he replied absently to Ryan who addressed him with a question that he might have taken affront to if he thought Ryan knew he was an archive mage and was trying to pry into his arsenal.

Instead, the truth was obviously that Ryan had run out of options and Ranth was his last hope short of bringing the entire building door, but Ranth wasn't sure if his doppelganger was even capable of that much destruction unless he was packing some serious heat along with his pistols and rifle. He supposed it wasn't impossible, but it was certainly unlikely from what he'd seen thus far. But without any further delay, a powerful torrent of wind surrounded Ranth despite being indoors and then he lifted off into the air before launching straight up and through the large hole in the roof that Ryan had created and promptly vanished into the sky above.

Now Ryan would be forgiven for allowing a slither of doubt to creep into his mind at Ranth's sudden disappearance. What reason did the man have to come back and help him? Maybe he'd just done a big loop to the targets window and was at that very moment whisking her away while Ryan had to fend for himself. But seconds later, something very large and very fast slammed into the overlord from above with an enormous explosion of sound as both Ranth- the human projectile- and the overlord broke through the floor of the hotel... and the floor below that and the floor below that until they reached the ground floor where they still managed to leave a crater in the main lobby which was unoccupied, luckily for anybody who might have had the misfortune to be stand in the wrong place at the wrong time. The question was: who had come out on top in that sky tackle? As the dust settled, only one of the combatants would be left standing.

Welp, the man had disappeared up into the air and shot back down like a rocket coming back into orbit. A wave of force pushed the hunter a step back before he went forward to assess the damage. Ryan saw nothing but a thick cloud of smoke and debris from the attack; hopefully, no poor sap was under them when all this happened... Or above them for similar matters as a small chip from the ceiling fell on his head. He wondered if the two down there were even alive and well, or maybe one was dead while the other lived. Ah... right now he couldn't give too much of a damn as he he was free from all obstacles save for a door and most likely a naked couple in bed.

Ryan sauntered over to Hailey's room and kicked down the door after he unlocked it with a bullet through the lock. He let out a low whistle as he followed the trail of clothes to the bedroom where he found the two in bed, fancying one another. "Right, right... Time to break up this love fest you two," he said, leaning against the door with a large smirk on his face. The two abruptly stopped to face intruder and gather a bunch of blankets to hide their nudity. Ryan entered the room promptly and forcibly took Haley by the arm to drag her out. It wasn't the most subtle kidnapping but he was done with all the unsuspecting diversions and preferred a more direct approach before another enemy showed to take her.

That was until the other man stopped him by the arm and threw a punch across his face--his pretty, pretty face. There were a few things that the hunter didn't like which were girls, people who didn't know when to give up, and those unworthy fellows who dare harm his face. Ryan pulled out his gun and aimed it straight at Stephan's head with murderous intent with his eyes. No part of him was smiling right now as he forced the man back to the window, shattered the poorly enforced glass with a single bullet, and kicked the man to his death with his girlfriend or whatever watching in horror from the sidelines. "Nice face, keep it up cupcake and you might make it out with everything intact," he said as he yanked the girl again with nothing but a blanket for coverage.

They made their way to bottom floor where Ranth and the enemy should be unless they're on the side of the world, in China. "Glad to see that guy dead, a shame to see you alive," Ryan said as he made out his partner's rising outline, his usual polite demeanor gone.

Ranth's dive bomb, aided by the man's own magic had left its mark on the building to say the least. Extricating himself from the unconscious- or possibly dead- form of the gravity mage, all he really cared about was that the man's magic was currently inactive. The second thing he cared about was that he'd left Ryan alone on the same floor as their mutual target and with there being no honor amongst thieves, he wasn't about to let that situation go unchecked for any longer than he had to.

Apparently though, he needn't have worried as the door to the room burst open and Ryan appeared, with the woman they'd been sent to retrieve in tow. "It takes more than a little fall to kill me", Ranth replied as he dusted himself off and glanced up at the roof, which now featured a very modern ventilation shaft that reached up to the top floor of the building. A little fall indeed. "Alright, we need to get out of here before the authorities arrive to investigate. We can work out what to do with her afterwards"[/color], Ranth proposed.

The woman for her part looked utterly terrified, which made it all the easier to lead her onward to the nearest exit- a convenient backdoor that exited into the alley... not far from where the broken body of her former boyfriend was lying in a pool of blood. The woman looked like she was going to shriek, but the shock of seeing her man in such a state was simply too much for her and she fainted on the spot instead. "Your fault I imagine, so you can carry her", Ranth said matter of factually as he inspected the end of the alley and found that the authorities had in fact begun to arrive.

"Alright, our window for an easy escape is closing, let's go", Ranth informed his temporary ally before leading the way out into the street behind a rapidly gathering crowd of spectators. He didn't know where he was going, only that anywhere was better than where they were right now.

Ryan grimaced in agreement about killing Ranth, looking up as he did to access the damage he had done in his 'little' fall. "Sadly it seems so," he sighed while he walked out with the girl in hand. The first thing they saw once out was a piece of Ryan's work: Haley's (ex)boyfriend crippled and disfigured with his head turned 180 degrees back and limbs bent in abnormal shapes spread out. The hunter silently admired his work; considering the height at which the man fell from, the blood splatter and position wasn't that bad. Sadly, the girl didn't seem to agree and fainted shortly after delivering a scream that could scare off even a banshee. However, he couldn't care enough to carry her bridal or piggyback style and decided to drag the unconscious body across the floor.

He followed Ranth down the alley hindered by the weight of the girl's large assets but he managed to catch up while doing optimal damage to her legs to prevent her from running should she awake. The area was unknown to him but he took time to study each angle and turn in the alley for countermeasure if they were chased by a squad of police or a group of enemies, not to mention he observed his partner who was leading the way. Ryan didn't feel as if he was being led to some sort of ambush, but Ranth moved as if he seemed a bit lost behind a mask of confidence and pride.

"I suggest we find a place to hide in until the streets thin out," he said as he recalled the map of the area he was given prior to the mission. At this point the authorities would be snooping around the building, interrogating eyewitnesses and dealing with the number of lackies they had left back. Eventually they would find out that Haley had been kidnapped but that may take a some time before they reach the conclusion. "They'll most likely deploy a number of their forces towards the perimeter of the city to prevent us from leaving while a few will scour well known hideouts for the notorious. I believe this girl has work not far from here? We'll hit close to home for now and devise a better plan for our escape. They'll least expect it this way," he explained, already starting to head the girl's office.

"Sure okay, whatever", Ranth shrugged and followed Ryan this way and that way, left and right, side to side and back to front as they led an impossible (yet so very possible) mission to avoid the authorities and their remaining rivals. Ultimately though all they had to do was cross a street, cut through a park, hide behind a water fountain and then catch a taxi- with a hefty bribe- in order to find themselves in close proximity of Miss Rhode's place of employment.

Realising by now that Ryan was far less a ladies man than he'd first assumed- based on his treatment of Miss Rhodes in their escape- Ranth took it upon himself to wake the woman and explain to her the situation- as well as what would happen to her if she did cooperate versus if she did not. "We're going to need you to take us to where you keep all of the research on your current project. Do this and you have my word you'll be left unharmed. Otherwise, we'll have to resort to more violent methods in order to get what we want".

That was it, the ultimatum and whilst this woman may have taken pride in her work, she was neither a hero nor a martyr. At the end of the day she was terrified and helpless and she just wanted to live to see another day. So in a tiny voice that sounded as frail as she looked she accepted their terms. "Alright, you lead the way and we'll be right behind you", Ranth said as they approached the building's front door. The building itself was at least twenty stories high with glass windows and men in fancy suits were streaming in and out of it as they approached. "Here goes nothing", Ranth muttered under his breath as they passed from the outside and into the air conditioned lobby of the ground floor.

It was a long way to get the office with all the cops around and civilians on high alert, especially when you're literally dragging a half-naked woman through the streets. There had been a couple of close calls when the schemeing duo went through the streets of Trilluim where they had just been able to dumped the body behind some garbage bin as people gave suspecious stares but nevertheless moved on with their own business. But at some point, it got extremely risky and Ranth had decided to call a cab to take them there. At first Ryan was very reluctant to do so but eventually agreed, threatening a hole through the driver if he didn't keep quiet after being given quite a large sum of money.

When they reached Haley's work place, she stirred and opened her eyes as if she had just awoke from a deep slumber. Then she remembered what happened and saw that she was still with her two kidnappers and faced with an ultimatum. She hesitated for a second until she saw Ryan holding on to her with such a friendly and innocent smile that made it seem impossible that he was an apathetic borderline-psychotic sadist. If anything, it made her more scared which Ryan just gave a small chuckle to and continued to drag her as she told them the steps to her private office.

The room was quite organized and yet disorderly; everything was scattered everywhere but they were ordered by subject and date. Not to mention the office was pure white and completely spotless like someone with mysophobia worked here but that was obviously not the case. "You're doing a great job so far, Miss Haley," the hunter praised and gave her a pat on the head that brought out a whimper from her that was barely audible with the gag in her mouth. "Now, can you show us where you keep the documents we're looking for?" he said in a sincere tone. The hunter released his hold of her to let her rummage through her files but not without keeping a close eye on her to make sure she didn't pull some stunt on them.

In a matter of minutes, she came back to them like an obedient dog and presented them with a significant stack of papers clipped and stapled together. "Good girl..." Ryan muttered as he flipped through all the papers. "Seems like everything is here," he reported to Ranth.

Ryan gave the woman instructions to bring them the documents and in a matter of minutes, she came back to them like an obedient dog and presented them with a significant stack of papers clipped and stapled together. Ryan muttered some words of praise as he flipped through all the papers before informing Ranth that it seemed to be the real deal. of course, Ranth wasn't born yesterday and took the papers so that he could check their authenticity for himself... and remember them down to the very last pen stroke so he could reproduce them later.

"Seems so", he said and handed the papers back to Ryan. "You were actually useful in the end, as much as it pains em to acknowledge someone from Tartaros", Ranth sighed as he looped his arm around Haley's waist and stepped back from him. "As agreed, this is where our partnership ends. To tell the truth I was originally going to take everything with me and kill you, but as I said, you've left an impression on me. You can take those documents back to your superiors. I'll be taking Miss Rhodes with me". It was not a negotiation, Ryan was lucky that Ranth was throwing him a bone- even if he did have the contents of the documents memorised. It was a matter of principle.

By letting Ryan think he was coming out of this with something to show for it, he'd hopefully be pacified and move along quietly. If not... well... they were quite high up and surrounded by glass windows... and he didn't think Ryan knew how to fly.

The hunter rolled his eyes as the documents were snatched out of his hands to be double checked. He wasn't born yesterday, he knew what the difference between a real and fake document was and all the penmanship and information lined up with each other. Ryan waited for the mage to finish read before he grabbed the documents back from him. He was close to making a run for it but he knew the strength of the person standing in front of him and doubted that he could make it very far before he was caught red handed. He held back a sigh of frustration when he realized that he'd have to share his bounty, at least the man did work especially back in the hotel.

"And here I was hoping that I'd get the girl to play with," he smiled wryly as the girl began to protest loudly and thrashed around. Ryan simply patted her head once again and ruffled her blonde hair before he grabbed a fist-full of it tightly and pulled on it to stop her petty outcry. "Come on we'll have fun together, I'll treat you nicely," he grinned brightly like any normal human being, like a perfect boyfriend.

Hailey continued to cry before Ryan decided that he had his fill and handed her off to Ranth who was waiting on the side. "Whatever, she's getting boring and irritating," he sighed as he tossed their hostage to Ranth. It was actually a better idea for Ranth to have the girl as the hunter was quite close to kicking her off the building in the same fashion he did with her lover; her consistent pleas, sobs, and struggle was messing with his clothes and giving him a headache. Tartaros had asked for the girl alive but after the events that happened, Ryan couldn't give anymore damns about what they wanted.

The hunter walked over to the window and looked out. "It's still clear out there, if you're going to leave with her, I suggest you leave now while no one's here," he informed Ranth. "It was a pleasure working with you, can't say I would want to in the future though."

"You're a sick dude Ryan Rapear", Ranth smirked as he took Miss Rhodes and continued backing up towards the window without a care in the world. Ranth knew his fair share of womanisers, but this guy was truly something else. For every ounce he had of charm, he had just as much of something else. Something volatile and dangerously unpredictable.

"Anyway, I've already got my escape route sorted", Ranth grinned and then slammed his fist against the window hard enough to shatter it completely. Then he did what any sane person (with flying magic) would do and stepped out into the empty air with his prize under his arm and fell into oblivion... for about two and a half seconds before a powerful air current surrounded him and carried him back up past the window where he could still see his Tartaros doppelganger standing in the office and Ranth gave him a mock salute before turning in the air and shooting off into the distance.

He wasn't sure how Ryan planned to escape, but it was literally of no concern to him as he landed several blocks away. Miss Rhodes had passed out fromf right at their leap of faith, but it was no matter as he descended into a hidden subway system where a train was waiting for him to transport them both straight back to Grimoire Heart. All in all, not bad for a day's work he thoguht as he laid the woman down on the floor. he didn't know when she would be likely to see the sun again, so it seemed fitting that her last moments of freedom had seen her soaring through the sky like a bird.

Now she belonged to Grimoire Heart and for the willing that was an honor and a privilege. But for those who were not... it was a terrible curse.

Ryan let out a short laugh at Ranth's comment about him. "Hmmm... That's not the first nor will it be the last time I get called that," he said smoothly as if he enjoyed being called that. He neither agreed nor disagreed as he knew who he was but he also liked to think he was more mannered and clean when he did things. Last thing he wanted was to have a psychotic look on his face 24/7 for the whole world to see and fear. Scaring people from the start killed all the possibilities of fun.

The hunter saluted back to the flying mage with a reverse gun hand and flicked it up before he turned around and snooped around her office while he made a call to his employers to pick him up. He had about 10 minutes to kill before his ride came so he plopped on to Hailey's rolly chair and spun around it a couple of times before he decided to go through the files that were on her desk.

There were a couple of biology reports that connect with the regeneration report that was so sought out after. Ryan read through her reports, acknowledging her intelligence with each paper. Her words flowed together and was quite understandable for someone with intermediate knowledge of science. At the last page, he found a CD that he stuck in into her laptop and after going through the list of passwords she had stickied to her screen, he watched the video of the scientists perform the experiment in succession with a numerous amount of different species. It was quite interesting and once his helicopter was here, he opted out on taking the computer with him for some extra credit points.

His guild couldn't get the girl but he was able to get them something much more valuable. It was a job well done if he could say so for himself.
