When Jayce returned with a folded paper and told them about suddenly going to Taiji Mountains, Xavion had a feeling that something was amiss. His cautiousness only intensified when Reggie confirmed his doubts that indeed there was no one around to have possibly given the paper to Jayce. He wanted to tell the lad that perhaps it was just his imagination or possibly some kind of nervousness for being the new guy around. It happened sometimes, the excitement of new members and the pressure when one meets a senior in the guild. Thus one must attain something in order to prove himself. However, Reggie did have a point. There was nothing wrong with having to visit the mountains. He’d been there before and since he had nothing much to do, he figured he could accompany Jayce in this quest. After all, he was still rather annoyed with his earlier meeting with that Host mage within this guild. He’d rather be in good disposition when he returns to Tessa and give her the news. He agreed with them going back to the main lobby where Jayce could finish his registration. And at that point, Xavion just had to ask, “Miss McKenzie, is there a forge within your guild? If not, I’ll have to go pass by the one in this town.” He looked to Jayce and added, “You should also be preparing before you leave. I’ll come along to make sure you don’t get yourself in trouble after finally joining a guild. It would be a pity. But you also have to take care of what you may possibly need. Taiji Mountains can be harsh for the ill-prepared.” |

Jayce was elated to hear that Reggie and Xavion had no problem going to the Taiji Monastary. "Perhaps one of the monks could decode the symbols or reveal what we can't see." he says, holding the map in the sun. "Whatever this is, the old woman said it would take us on a wondrous adventure." he informed, folding the paper back in half. It did irk him that no one else saw him talking the woman across the room. He's pretty sure he's not crazy last time he checked. Reggie also didn't see any meaning to the map. So that just makes the mystery bigger! Xavion explained to Jayce that he should prepare himself for the journey, but looking at himself, he knew he had everything he needed. "Whelp. I have my clothes, and my gourd. So I guess I'm ready." he said lightheartedly. Now that the tour was over, and he has his guild tattoo, he would be an official guild mage! But Reggie said there was a little more of his registration -which he would complete to finish. A man in butler-like attire approached the trio to send a message. "Excuse me, someone has booked a carriage for your trip to the Taiji Mountains." the butler said. "Who would pay for all three of us?..." Jayce thought confused. But then he thought about and it could have been the old woman. "Thank you..." he says, dismissing the man. After a couple seconds Jayce began: "Well guys, at least we don't have to walk!" he said grinning. Perhaps this is the start of this "wondrous" adventure.

Reggie already agreed that she will go with Jayce to the Taiji Mountains. She turned to Xavion as he asked her if there's a forge within the guild. "I'm so sorry Xavion but the guild don't have a forge. But we can check the town for a forge." The blonde wizard said. She remembered that she need to packed her things too. "Well. I should packed some stuffs for the journey. Wait for me in the lobby." Reggie said as she run out from the recreation area and into the corridors of the third floor. Her room was somewhere on the floor. But she just can't let Jayce and Xavion in. It was messy. Bras hanging to the head board of her bed and shoes were scattered on the floor. She forgot to hang the housekeeping card on her door. But she don't have time for that. Reggie immediately grabbed her requip bag and started packing a set of extra clothes and some cookies. It was small for the clothes and the cookies to fit. But because it was some sort of pocket dimension, Reggie could carry things with it that were less than 3 kilograms in weight. She was ready to leave as she checked her room one more time for something strange. Well. Nothing's strange. The Purewhite selene still looked like a dead plant under the energetic rays of the sun. Reggie then walked out of her room and locked the door. She then headed towards the lobby where Xavion and Jayce would be waiting for her. The blonde wizard finally came to the lobby where Lizze was putting the guild emblem on Jayce. "I guess we can leave now." Reggie suggested. But she was surprised as one of the butlers in the guild came to Jayce and told him that a carriage ride to the Taiji Mountains was waiting for them outside. "Well. That would be convenient. I guess we'll just drop by a forge on our way out of the city." Reggie told Xavion. "Oh Miss Reggie, please do take care on your trip." Lizze said. "Don't worry Lizze. I got this." Reggie said. |

It would appear as though the guild did not posses their own forge. Something understandable since the city of Poinsettia boasts of many smiths along their streets. Goldsmiths for one were the ones to look for when one wanted an authentic and wondrous set of jewelries that boasts of Fiorean artistry. That aside, their blacksmiths were also great and most of the journeymen that went along this way were treated to good hospitality and magnificent worksmanship. And so, when they’ve agreed to meet again by the lobby after taking care of their concerns, Xavion quickly took his leave, following the path he memorized from earlier to exit the guild. Funny, they ended up leaving together. It felt like a breath of fresh air. The guild was just that stifling to him. He decided not to dwell with the thought any longer as he proceeded down the streets. He located around three forges before he finally could decide where he would let his sword be tempered. He was, after all, a very picky swordsman who valued his sword as much as his life. It was only natural to ensure he receives perfect result for his sword’s tempering. It took about an hour for his sword to get the proper attention it needed and while they waited, they discussed about the journey ahead of them. Reggie seemed quite ready to jump into the adventure as much as Jayce, though perhaps Reggie possessed a more cheerful disposition as opposed to Jayce’s pure curiosity working it ways to eat at him and beg him to solve this mystery brought before him. Xavion ended up having to remind the boy on how to be careful and wary about it since it really was that suspicious. When they were finally about to leave, they were surprised by the sudden appearance of a butler. Xavion glared at the man as he announced their paid travel on what seemed to be a private carriage. Things were getting far too easy for his taste. He could almost swear there was a trap somewhere hidden among them, waiting to just spring at them and catch them all off-guard. But if the two were rather thankful for this surprise, he took it upon himself to be the more vigilant one in their group. “All is well for charity cases, but this is becoming too suspicious,” he remarked as he looked carefully at the carriage and the sighed. “I’ll make sure we don’t fall victim to anything dangerous, but you, Jayce, need to know when to accept too-good-to-be-true offers like this.” |

Jayce didn't really think much of the carriage being a trap. Maybe it could be a secret message to save a dying race of some unknown force? Sounds like an adventure. "Heh! Relax big guy! We're guild wizards!" Jayce says, smirking confidentially cross armed. "If anyone tries to attack us, we'll surely send them fleeing back to these mouse holes." he then said, lightly punching his other hand. "It could be a secret message, a treasure map, or even a hidden legendary hidden spell!" It all sounded adventurous. But maybe he's overthinking it. It could be just be a really, really expensive yet old blank stationery... But that's unlikely. Approaching and stepping into the carriage, the Jayce could hear the horses neighing to get going. Inside the carriage was sort of luxurious to where you can just tell that the ride will be fun. There was a row of seats on each side -like a limo. That's Blue Pegasus for ya. He took his spot on far left by the window. Waiting for Reggie and Xavion to take their seat too. After everyone was inside, the butler closed the door after everyone was seated, and the horse went on down the road. After the trio managed to get out of town and onto the Lavender Forest trail. Jayce had finally seen what everyone has been talking about. He never entered Poinsettia from the Lavender Forest route, so this is his first time seeing this wonder of nature. Like everyone else has told him, during this time of the year, the lavender blossoms cover the fresh white snow. Perhaps he shall come here on his own some time. After continuing along the trail, Jayce had been confused as to why has the carriage stopped. With rotten luck, in the middle of the road was tree. The driver releases the reigns and takes a look at the predicament. "Hmm. Well I'm afraid we aren't going anywhere until this log is gone." said the driver. Opening the door on his side, Jayce steps out to see if he could help. Walking to the end of the log, he could see scraps on the bark along where it was cut. "This tree didn't fall over..." Jayce says to himself, hesitating. "It was cut on purpose!..." he says to much dismay. "Guys, it's an ambush!" Jayce says, alerting the other two wizards. *wshhhhhhhhh -tssss* Being caught off guard, his sand shield activated to block a wooden arrow that aimed for the back of his head. Turning his attention to the arrow held in midair by sand, he could see a man on a tree with a bow and arrow standing on a branch. Four other bandits jumped out from their hiding place to attack and carry out their raid. Not on Jayce's watch. Edited by Jayce, Jan 3 2015, 01:21 AM.

It doesn't seemed like a trap to Reggie. After all, one of the butlers informed them about the carriage that was waiting for them. Jayce convinced Xavion to take the carriage. The cerberus guy was done going to the forge, so the group didn't have to drop by a forge on their way out of the town. The blonde wizard was seated silently near the window. She was leaning her elbow on the window pane as she put her right leg over the left. It was actually kinda quiet. But Reggie didn't break the silence. Instead, she just looked through the window. They were already out from the town. Reggie then noticed that the carriage stopped. She turned to Jayce. It seemed that a tree fell over the way. But she was shocked as she heard Jayce telling them that the tree fell on purpose. It was a trap! Out of panic, Reggie grabbed her keys. Jayce yelled ambush. She immediately singled out one gold key and chanted the spell. "Gate of the Lion, I open thee!" Reggie said as light gathered on the tip of the key. "Leo!" She said as a figure of a man formed within the light. The light grew bigger until it flooded the carriage. It started to fade. The moment it vanished, Leo stood in the midst of the carriage. He was too tall to stand straight inside the carriage so he immediately sat opposite to Reggie, looking outside and checking what he was about to face. |

There was a reason he was very much wary about taking the carriage. Things never go too easy like that. Coincidences were far too much that it often led to just being another trap. And he was right. It was long after their journey had started that some men had tried to crash into their carriage. Well, “try” would be a understatement for they did manage to and seemingly stole something of sorts. Immediately, Xavion slid out from the window of the carriage, swinging himself upward to reach the top of the carriage and there, he looked around to see what was going on. Leo, the celestial spirit that Reggie summoned had also appeared and Xavion almost jumped in surprise, thinking it was one of the assailants. Good thing he had enough self-control to stop himself from drawing his sword and aiming to cut his head off. But the attackers had them surrounded and Xavion didn’t like having to delay plans. He was, after all, expected to return to Tessa sometime before the month ends or so. He was given that much liberty to do as he please to wander about, but with this new sudden surprise, he didn’t want it to turn out like the last time that it took him a year to fix. With a click of his tongue in mild annoyance, he drew out his sword while focusing his energy around the blade before swinging out four spheres that began to create a vacuum portal to suck everything with below average strength towards it, particularly, the unnaturally rooted ones like man and flying arrows. tech used

Reggie was a mage, of course. She demonstrated her ability by summoning a man with spiked hair. She said his name was "Leo". Leo? Like the lion? But Jayce had sworn that she had called for a lion. He awaited orders from her in the carriage. But now it was time to get these guys outta the way. It had been a while since had fought with Xavion. -And the last time was alot more stranger than this. Xavion had shown his formidable dexterity by launching himself on top of the carriage, and swinging his magical blade. The blade let out out four orbs that caused the men to slide towards them with a pulling force. That's right. Jayce remembers from last that he's some sort of force or gravity mage. Two more bandits rolled out from the brush to continue the attack -targeting Jayce with theirs swords. Quick as he is, Jayce manipulated his sand gourd to conjure two tendrils that yanked over to the attackers. The tendrils shoved the right leg of each man, causing them to lose balance and end up on their backs. Pulling them towards him, kicked up a small cloud of dirt and sand, which covered the three (Jayce & the two bandits). After a mere couple of seconds, the cloud cleared which revealed the outcome. "Xavion! Watch your flank!" Jayce says, seeing another two more bandits from the other side carriage attempting to attack. Jayce bolted off from the area to target them next. If you look at the two bandits he had just defeated, you can see that they are knocked out with their wrist and ankles shackled to the ground with hardened sand. But the bandits didn't let up. Three more enemies appeared -this time with warhammers. Big guys too... "Wonder why they're trying so hard..." he mutters. "We don't have anything!?" Tech's Used

Leo got out from the carriage and was greeted by the three bandits with warhammers. "Bring it on!" He said as he charged towards them. The lion spirit rolled his hands into a fist as he prepared to cast a spell. He ran towards the bandits with the warhammers and suddenly stopped as he opened his palm in front of them. "Leonine Blast!" A large beam erupted from a magic circle in front of him with a lion's head. The head was moving, as if it was ready to devour those who are in his way. It went straight towards the warharmmer guys who seemed to be caught off-guard with Leo's display of power. They suffered catasthropic damage that left them unconscious after being hit by it. And not just the bandits, but the trees behind them. Plenty of trees were now lying behind them as it also got hit by Leo's spell. "I guess he overdid it a little bit." Reggie said as she simply went out from the carriage. But she knew she's in trouble once Mistress Mai learn about this. The lady still remember what she did back in the island from her last mission. Her mistress was not buying her reason anymore for having low control over her spirit's power. "Overdid it?! I used my powers to protect you!" Leo complained. "It's not like that Leo! I mean look at those trees." Reggie said as she yelled back at her summon, losing her cool this time. "Unfortunately for them, they're on my way. So I have to hit them as well!" "If you would just cast enough power to make them unable to move, not make them unconscious!" "That's long work. And you know well I don't like delaying things!" Reggie just turned her face away from them as she can't stand her spirit. He's just too whiny. tech used |

Just as timely as Reggie’s summon appeared to help them, Xavion’s Blackholes were at their limit, which meant that they would explode and rendering the nearby enemies burnt or destroyed. In this case, some were burnt and some were thrown across the ground, incapacitated. Then Jayce and Reggie’s summon made their final blows and from the looks of it, things were back to normal. Or so it seemed. “I don’t know, Jayce. Perhaps it was a trap from the very beginning,” Xavion replied to him, patting him on the shoulder before jumping back down to inspect the carriage they were riding. He knocked on the wooden wheels and was quite impressed that is was still attached after all their ruckus and commotion. “Well, we best get going.” He then proceeded towards the fallen tree along the road that blocked their way. He focused his magic on his blade and with a strong swing, sent a surge of his magic lifting from the blade as it came in contact with the fallen tree. In effect, upon impact, the tree would not only be cut, but there was an added explosive effect that pushed the parted tree; both sides now thrown to both sides and giving way for their carriage to push forward into their journey. “That should be enough.” As they would ride inside the carriage again, he would give Jayce another pat on the head this time as he spoke, “Thanks for earlier.” It may have been one of those rare occasions of when he would praise someone, but it was always a genuine praise coming from Xavion. With more mystery lurking about this strange errand of Jayce’s, he knew he would have to keep an eye out for the lad. But that aside, he was also finally realizing just why Reggie was considered one of Blue Pegasus’ top mages. She handled the situation quite well. Her summons would be a great asset. Continuing their travel in the carriage, it wouldn’t be long before they would be far from the outskirts of Poinsettia and well into the mountainous territories. And looming in the distance was the silhouette of the great Mt. Taiji where the rest of their adventure awaited them. tech used
