Mathematics that hour was easy. It was simple manipulation of variables and coefficients - simply take the 7th integral of fixed value of ln x between 7e to the power of 3 pi over the 9th order sum of 1 + ex and the Riemann sum of 2 to the power of pi x for 0 < x ≤ 4 , and then expressing it in a power-ascending expansion, for the first 7 powers of x... Oh, we aren't doing advanced mathematics? Okay then. But seriously though, holy shit was Mathematics boring. She could pick up the knowledge being shared in the classroom during that hour on a freaking slip of paper on the street. They were going through word problems that required a "Model solution" - basically necessitating them drawing out bar charts just to illustrate their goddamn point. She pretty much had a crapton of stuff missing from her memory but not basic mathematics - that was inexcusable, considering if you did wipe basic mathematics out of one's brain you'd probably drop their IQ by quite a few points. Then again, IQ is pretty much hogwash as there are better analogues for mental aptitude. This was completely paling in comparison to the last school-related topic I had taken quite a while back - and funny enough, with a character also named Kathryn (hmm, I wonder if there's a connection). That last topic involved them being the ones to bore students half to death, but I guess karma became a bitch in the end and now Kathryn's the one that's pretty much half dead. Needless to say, whatever questions they did in class, Kathryn had finished all 17 of them within just under a minute total - her level was advanced mathematics, probably even greater than Fourier analysis, which was what she actually taught in the last school topic (although she wouldn't know, or remember, it). The bell chiming the end of the class couldn't have come any later, though - pretty much one of the greater reliefs of the day as she packed up whatever belongings she had, and kept her kiddy purse (that the client gave her) tightly held in her hand, having a preference to not even try to use her skirt pocket (which was too shallow and caused the weight of the skirt to go off-balance, anyway), even though it was already a good thing that the school skirt even had pockets. Art was next - and they had to go to 1-01 to gather, after they had finished their activities in their own classroom. Her class was paired with 1-02, while the other 3 classes were having their pre-lunch break, which proved to have the students of those classes buying boxed take-away lunch sets that they could eat later in the classroom during their actual break, anyway. They would have to go around all 5 of the classrooms in order to visit all the "stations" for their art experience - her 1-04 classroom being used for some weird painting activity that involved a basket, a piece of A3 paper at the bottom of the basket, and 3 small marbles dipped (and still fresh) in different colours of paint. It would seem that they would have to shake the basket around and make weird paintings based on the tracks the marbles left. Edited by Levvins, Nov 12 2014, 08:54 AM.

Ethan had no problem with art class; it was something requiring manual work and dexterity, something that didn't involve traditional learning - much easier than those horrifying thoughts of science and math, neither of which he'd seen much of yet. As per the normal child's tradition, he had yet to look into his book beforehand, and thus far was refraining from doing so. As one of class 1-02, Ethan's first task was easy enough - to draw a picture of what was out the window, with low-quality paint on paper of barely-passable levels. That was done in a few minutes; in all honesty, he was appalled by the masses of blue and green paint that the others used, some of them requiring extra sheets of paper because the sheer amount of watercolor used simply destroyed those poor sheets of low-grade paper. To deter the teachers or other students, he quickly slapped on a few extra strokes, which pained his artistic side but made his own painting look sufficiently messy and unkempt as to avoid attracting any attention about being an artistically precocious child. Next was class 1-01; en route, there was the opportunity to throw a soda bottle into the class 1-01 trash can. No, not the trash can for art supplies - the normal trash can, the one near-empty at the moment and unlikely to be emptied at anytime soon. He looked around for signs of his partner; none yet. Perhaps she was having better luck in other classes. As was, at this moment, he'd have Mezekai for companionship. Now, there was a child with artistic abilities. They overshadowed Ethan's own, and on top of that, Mezekai was the shy type even when it came to compliments; what attention could have gone to him was stolen away by his companion. It was amazing, and Ethan smiled and patted his friend on the back whenever his friend gave him that same look. So far, so well. |

She got so bored during Art, especially during the session where she had to do that dumb activity in her own classroom. She ended up having the A3 paper in her basket completely filled in paint, just by rolling the marbles around until the tracks didn't leave out a single section of the paper uncovered. It was a shitty mess of shitty paint, and her effort in producing that work of art was befitting of its shittiness. Less-than-effortlessly shitty. In fact, you would have achieved the same effect by dunking your drawing pad into a bucket of paint water. Such was the cringeworthiness of this Art session that when she finally headed over to 1-01 to meet up with 1-02 she immediately made a beeline for her mission partner and snuck in an alias-siblingly hug. That was the only way, Kathryn realised, that she could adequately express her cringe to her mission partner without many words, or without raising suspicion. She wouldn't ever perform that kind of gesture to someone she wouldn't know on a daily basis, but first-graders are innocent and kawaii that they wouldn't know any better. Perfect behavioural acting. And as Kathryn brought her mission partner over to a corner while the rest of the combined class was busy talking amongst one another, she immediately got down to business. In as soft a whisper as was humanly possible. "1-04, and I noticed 1-01, and I'm guessing you already did 1-02." And as both classes' art teachers divvied up the students into four groups, such that they could move around the classrooms in more manageable sizes, it was just a wonderfully convenient coincidence that the two of them would be in the same group. Perhaps the school had a preference for sticking siblings together, but anyway. Left were the classrooms of 1-03 and 1-05. And as the two would carry their bags over to the different classrooms Kathryn made sure that at least one can was easily accessible for her, placed at the very top of the inside of the bag, nearest to the zipper. She would place her bag, upon arrival at 1-05, at the furthest end from everyone else. They needed their pencils this time - and as the students were beckoned forth to the front of the classroom she would make sure to "forget" to bring the relevant stationery. Heading back to where her bag was placed she made sure to fumble a fair bit before finally fishing out her pencils and rubber erasers, slipping a can into the under-desk compartment of the desk she put her bag next to, before returning to the group of students crowded at the front. 1-05 was done. |

1-05 was interesting - it was definitely something new entirely. Namely, an actual art class. There was no clue as to why there was a lady in a floral dress in front of the class with an easel and a giant notebook and a wooden stand with a vase of flowers on it, but lo and behold here was a woman who was actually trying to teach the children how to sketch, shading and proper line thickness and all. Ethan, who was next to his partner for this one, found the area comforting - there was a lot of noise, because all were standing and when children are made to stand and not sit even the holiest of monks find it hard to meditate, such is the racket and the mass of giggling and laughing and immature humor that flies around such a place; it was a shame. The lady in the floral dress seemed like she was really trying to teach, and she evidently wasn't half-bad. Her being a mage with some sort of artistic magic made it seemed like cheating, though. "Why are all the flowers tilted to the sides?" Ethan asked aloud in a moderate voice, to his 'sister'. "Didn't they always tell us to draw them like, flat? So there's still 1-03, I'll do that one, and it's hard to do that diagonal thing with the pencil. Why does the teacher's flowers look so real? Look, I'm drawing the same flower, but hers is all the right size and the right shape and the right colors and that should leave three cans left for you and two for me; where else are we putting them? But why does hers look like they are the right colors when it's just pencil? I mean, it's gray, but by the doors, did someone say in the request it sure looks like it has colors." Ethan had the ability to talk straight for almost half an hour; and that was how they got through the class, eventually being relocated to room 1-03, where they had to bring nothing with them. That didn't prevent the little boy from 'drinking soda' as he entered the next classroom, though, as he made gestures of finishing his drink and tripping, causing the can to roll all the way into one of those floor-level drawers the likes of which no one ever knew why existed because they were short as hell and teachers injured their backs trying to reach down there. |

Kathryn wasn't exactly the most gifted of people in artistic prowess and all - she was more of the singing type - but even then her level of skill wasn't anywhere as low as elementary school level. She could draw faces adequately accurate, and that was as good as she was going to get, because she didn't have much of an interest in depicting reality on canvas when she could just sing and wow people. Nevertheless, considering what was set up in 1-05, it was more of a relief for her and probably her partner because they didn't have to stoop down to so low an artistic level in order to maintain their cover. "They're off to the side because real flowers droop a bit," the sister replied. "I guess it's just simpler for us to draw flat because drawing them tilted needs way more skill. And I guess she just puts in a lot more detail three in trees outdoors during break although I don't see any colours two for the guards. Maybe you're seeing things I don't?" Again, her lack of care for prolonged and excessive conversation took a toll on her, because she only knew how to end a conversation promptly but not keep it up for even longer. Pity, but at least her partner knew how to blab on for as long as was needed. 1-03 was covered by her partner. Kathryn didn't have much to do but sit there with nothing and just listen to whatever bullshit the teachers would spout - although it was a test of her patience and her fatigue levels that she would not fall asleep during that class. Detention was quite a real possibility and it was probably lucky of her that she avoided it altogether. "We're done here now, aren't we." Kathryn would talk to her partner again in as soft a whisper as humanly possible. "I've got lunch break after Gym, followed by Music, before we leave through the gates." A quick rundown of what she would have after this Art session would indicate to an aware mission partner of what they had left to do - plant those cans in the trees outdoors during their lunch break, before planting two more at both of the gates they would each go out of. And the bell would soon chime, signalling when the siblings would separate yet again. |

The bell rang, the students dispersed, the classes returned to their regular schedules and seating arrangements, Ethan winking to his sister in that mischievous but imperfect way of winking that children often (try to) do, the imperfection of which somehow made them even more adorable in the adult's eyes. Science class was dull as hell, he fell asleep and didn't wake up until five minutes before the bell rang and even then five minutes of the teacher droning on and on about how water was different from ice made him feel like it was still too damn long. Lunch was a grand event. The moment those bells rang, children cheered in joy, teachers sighed in relief, little people ran out the classrooms and through the doors and all over the place as they rushed to buy lunch or meet up with their friends or play ball or change their clothes because wow some people really got too into that whole art thing. A quick search of his backpack revealed that, somehow, Ethan already had a lunchbox prepared, a cute little thing of yellow plastic with a certain little duck mascot on it, as well as a matching set of chopsticks and a canteen for water - he took them all. The canteen was no canteen; it had compartments, enough to hide two of those soda cans at a time. It was time to go out to lunch. Naturally, he followed Mezekai as they gathered with their other friends, Gerald and the Gua twins. They, for some reason, customarily walked around while eating? While odd, it was convenient. Throwing 'empty' soda cans away into seemingly random places wasn't much of a difficult thing, as this school was not particularly focusing on cleanliness, and the amount of litter in the lunch table area after lunch was damn. |

This would probably be one of the most arousing times to be a lolicon. Especially since 1-04 was split into two - the guys all had their own separate gym session, with the girls all having their own gym session. The guys would be prancing around in leotards in the gymnasium, while the girls would be having their swimming session. They were both sent to their respective changing rooms to get prepared, and of course, this is where I pop up and say that this is the perfect time for a lolicon to get his fix. 17 girls crowding into a single bathroom, and momentarily getting completely naked, before changing into their totally-stereotypical Japanese-style one-piece swimsuits of the navy-blue colour. And while I'm willing to entertain some people's erotic fantasies through the written word to an extent, this is when I stop because any further might become completely illegal to post. Nevertheless, the young girls would be temporarily nude for a short moment, but quit your goddamn fapping because they totally had nothing to brag about. And as Kathryn slid the swimsuit up between her legs she would feel weirdly protected - maybe it's the figure-hugging cut of the swimsuits but Kathryn would feel for one that she felt reasonably comfortable in it. Maybe her grown-up self could swim in them more. And as they went to put their school uniforms back in their respective lockers Kathryn could totally spot classmate-Kathryn sneaking up on her, probably totally ready to grope and sexually harass her. Before she could, though, Kathryn totally one-upped her. "Oh hi, Kathryn." Although saying her own name felt really weird, especially when not being directed at oneself but to another person. She couldn't prevent the hug, though, even though the element of surprise was totally gone. Yeah. Classmate-Kathryn was totally a lesbian. But anyway, their swimming session was pretty easy, though - they were just going through fundamentals, although Kathryn was already fundamentally sound and adept at swimming. Lunch break was next - and after changing back, with my considerate omission of the lewd scenes yet again, Kathryn would head to the cafeteria to meet up with her partner. |

Ten minutes after lunch started, and Ethan wasn't quite sure what to make of it anymore. The Gua twins had been sent to the principal's office for throwing their utensils at each other with deadly force after they began a short argument, though thankfully no one had been hurt yet. That was some horrifying sh*t. Gerald had gone to the toilet and hadn't returned, though reports from other students at the moment dictated that the boy's restrooms on the first floor of the right building was, at this moment, nothing less than a location international bioterrorism. That was some terrifying sh*t. Mezekai was on the roof of the building staring deep into the eyes of some girl in class 1-03 by name of Catherine as they smiled at each other while the bright noon sun beamed down upon them and little white doves flew around the two of them in pairs. That was some anime sh*t. So that meant he was alone right now with no idea how he became from one in a group of five to a loner so fast, so damn fast. This was some bull shi*t. Meh, he headed for the cafeteria to buy a snack. En route, there he saw her again - his partner. "Hey sis!" Ethan shouted, as he waved at her, running to greet her merrily. "Did you just get out for lunch? What took so long? I already ate, but all my friends ran off again and I've put two cans down and last one's in my backpack so I'll just tag along with you!" |

"Hello~" Kathryn would reply, in a more upbeat tone than would have been the case in the previous sessions, especially brain-killing sessions like Mathematics and Art. "I just had gym! We had a pretty long swimming session today so I had to spend a lot of time changing out of and in to my school uniform, and my class isn't exactly the fastest at getting things done..." "And I haven't had lunch yet! I'll go get a bento for now, mind waiting for me at the table nearest to the trees? I've got something to show you actually just planting the last one after I'm done eating anyway~" Her more melodic voice would become more apparent especially since she was in a much lighter mood, and a less quiet mood as well. Funny thing about threads is that you never expect anything. Really. Trillium was a shithole (at least to Kathryn), the school was a shitfest (seriously), and the teachers were full of shit (except for that one teacher in 1-05 - totally getting fired by the end of the month). You'd expect everything else to be shit. But no - for heaven's sake the bento was heavenly - the ebi tempura (prawn tempura) was fresh and crisp, the saba (mackerel) was tasty and well-seasoned, and the rice was moist and warm. In other words, Kathryn had all the things I'm so craving for right at this moment and I'm fucking hungry. And as she tucked into the box with the typical disposable chopsticks she savoured every single goddamn thing she had in the box that I don't have the opportunity to savour. Anyway. Once she was done she returned the bento box to the return area, and threw away the chopsticks - and heading back to where her partner was seated she beckoned him over. Along the way she would sneak more words into their conversation - "So where did you plant them already? I'm assuming the ones with quite a bit of litter?" She would pick the one at the furthest corner away from the school that wasn't already holding a can planted by her partner. The bell chimed - and they had to run back to their classrooms lest they return late. It was music for her next - not so sure about what her partner's schedule was, but either way her guess would be that it was boring. Music for her was at least somewhat liberating. |

Ethan waited where he was instructed to wait, and followed her for the rest of the lunch period as two of his friends were too busy getting their @$$3$ chewed out by the principal, one was setting the stage for the next boss fight location in the next Resident Evil game in the school restroom, and the last one was unknowingly living out the life of a young and talented artist with an equally-artistic childhood love who would be separated from him later on but return again in high school or some hella unlikely occurrence of that sort, damn, the kid had it good. Anyways, his partner planted the third can far away from the other two, which were, in turn, far away from one another - so it was all good. The bell chimed, and it was time for mathematics. Having never actually taken mathematics before, or rather, having never been formally educated, of course Ethan couldn't help but feel a tinge of excitement. Mathematics was that magic word that came out of the mouths of the academic and the educated, the people who became doctors and engineers and were both wealthy and intelligent, the respectable, the absolute highest- "...So, if we count together, there are one, two, three, four, five circles! And if we count here there are one, two, three circles! If we add them together, we count them all at once; come on, count out loud with me, kids. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight circles! That's right, five circles plus three circles are eight circles! That means that five, plus three, equals eight!" Please, kill me now. |
