Just moments before Alastor had been dragging Snow away, or rather she had actually been dragging him. His head was still sore from his last night of drinking, something that really still sat and ground against his nugging as the two mages, and one shadow who had lost a bet and had to be silent for the remainder of the day all walked down Poinsettia's beautiful streets. Alastor having a pinkie deeply burrowed inside his right ear, digging for gold more vigorously than most miners ever would. "Remind me to grab something to drink later, like more water not the kind that makes me do stupid things." Shadow for a moment was just to burst that Alastor didn't need any alcohol for that, he did plenty of stupid things himself. Then he remembered that he lost a bet to Snow and had to be silent, slowly putting down his finger, the finger seeming to almost melt or deflate like a baloon that lost all of its hot air. "Either ways can you look at the list? I don't really know what I need to get done, I remember a few of the things vaugely but adresses and the like is sort of all forgo- Hey where'd Shadow go?" Alastor asked as Shadow had seemed to disappeared, vanished, in reality he had used some of his magic to sneak away, if he couldn't talk he wanted to have just a teensy bit of fun himself. Oh and he was going to enjoy it. So very much! He noted a crate, or rather, a 2 wheeled wagon, its horse had been removed and on it rested a few crates all marked as "stinky" even better, just a little further away there was a group of people that seemed to listen to a man on a crate, one clearly of good standing and spending his time trying to preach about politics, gosh he hated to listen to all of these idiots plabber all day about politics, surely it could not hurt to... Have a little fun? Shadow went to the wagon, turned around and made a square with his fingers, as if taking aim at the man, carefully calculating every step of the process before stretching his fingers and cracking them. Raising his arms he quickly grabbed the wagon and as he released all his strength he flipped the wagon into the air, the wagon landing back perfectly on the ground, however a crate of "stinky" was flying over to the man preaching, seemed he preached for the little princess, the idea made it even better as he released his finaly, from his body sprouted 4 sludge-like black crows that with their horrid sounds flew into the crate, exploding on contact, showering the preacher below in its contents. It seemed perfectly clear until it became obvious the "stinky" had been skunk-stink carefully contained, and now, spilled all over the preacher, everyone laughing at him madly before leaving due to the stink. Shadow happy with himself as he slowly slid back to Alastor, content having had his fun. "So what is the first part?" |

The sudden disappearance of one snarky Shadow bothered Snow not at all. She made a face, and looked around though. He was still good back up, even if he did tend to he a smartass. She sighed and looked at the sheet Alastor had handed her. "Don't worry Doc, I will force some water down your throat sometime today." She grinned and looked back down at the list. She swallowed and squinted. "Uh, am we have another issue here Doc. Seems when you got drunk you drooled all over this list. And uh... there's quite a bit missing." She scratched the back of her head, and put a hand on Alastor's sleeve to let him know she had stopped moving. She also leaned herself up against a ladder, not really paying Amy attention to it. "Says here the first address is 124 Bloomington lane. I just can't make out the name." She cocked her head, trying to read it better. Someone above her, a man she hadn't noted who seemed to be carrying a sniper rifle of some sort, leaned down to look as well. "I think it says 'Smith.' Isn't that what it says?" Snow shook her head but looked up at the man. "Not at all. I think it says Coddles." She made a face at the man. She was concentrating on the list fairly hard. "Or maybe it's Conners?" She made another face. The man on the ladder meanwhile was still reading over her should, and while he was a bit higher up, he had sharp eyes. Being a sharp shooter. And potential assassin. "It clearly says Smith I don't know why you're being so stubborn. S-M-I- Aaaaagh!" He had been leaning over to show her what he meant and had somehow managed to loose his balance, mostly due to Snow wiggling the ladder as she tried to look at it the paper better. The note in his pocket seemed to say something about him being hired to kill Stefan, and the gun which went off in the air, harming no one, fell to the ground and shattered. The man himself immediately gave up Assassin's work, siting "too many bloody hazards" as the reason, once he was treated for a concussion. Snow smiled even as he fell, ignoring the small screech of panic, the gunshot, and the note. "Oh you're right. Smith it is. I was on the wrong line. Silly me." With that she strolled off in the direction of Blossom, tugging on Doc's sleeve as she went. A sudden smell of skunkiness in the air, as well as a few panicked people made her sigh. "I think I know where Shadow went." |

Shadow slowly made return, it was as if he was whistling a jointy tune despite no sounds escaping him, he even seemed very pleased with himself. Though Alastor didn't really notice it as much, and after all Shadow was completely silent so he could not even ask him if he had known. Snow seemed to meanwhile have issues even making out his scribbled "wait what?! I never drool on my pape- wait one second" Alastor spoke as he stopped to think while Snow spoke with some random man. Had he been drooling? Or had he had a spontaneous cold? More likely drool but he never drooled. Well except when he slept, or was drunk, or tired. or hungry. or really excited. Thinking of it, huh, he did maybe drool a bit more than he actually realized. Counting on his fingers he got completely lost in his own thoughts as Snow seemed to realize the name of the person, "oh yeah i know that, Smith, but uh... Why didn't you just ask?" Alastor questioned despite she had actually made it clear she had been trying to figure it out, the scent of... Skunk?! Alastor quick to follow Snow, yup, seemed something had been amiss... Nope it had been a skunk that was for sure and danm did it stink "lets take the other way around shall we?" Alastor asked as he quickly grabbed Snows side back to show he was moving, even if she could see him he liked to return the favor to make himself feel a little less handicapped. While walking to the their address it was as if the fates themselves was forcing Alastor into hearing peoples blabber about politics everywhere, he seemed to be caught in a net he could not get out of. Though this time it was more because of his own annoyance with others shortsightened behavior than anything else, a man stood in front another assembly, talking loud and clear. "I tell you! If we do not do anything about Bosco now, we NEVER will survive them! They will attack again, last time we won only because of our ability to stand together, but with the demon invasion our friends fall fewer and fewer! If we rid ourselves of Bosco now! We will be safe!! We should try gain favor from the dark guilds, turn their horrors from us to those Boscian shits!" Alastors whole body seeming to twitch, only one candidate wanted wanted open war, and while he didn't want to stir the pot especially with Snow there he could not help himself. Muttering an apolegy to Snow before angrily pushing himself through the people and near the soapboxer. "SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!" Alastor screamed as peoples faces turned to the blind kid who seemed all to unpleased with the situation, the man giving him a confused look, shaking his head as if he was just a costumed kid, Alastor revealing to everyone around him. "This! This is the mark of Fairy Tail!! You know what that means right? It means I've worked my ass off to keep peace, to restore balance and help people whenever this place was thrown into chaos! And you..." Alastor turned around and despite his covered eyes. "You would throw all that away for a god danm war based on fear?! Do you honestly think that would be the god danm end of it? Read a god danm history book, bloodshed begets more bloodshed! And ya know what? Do you honestly think for a god danm second the dark guilds would give two shits about dying for their country? No! You know why? Because when a country is unable to defend itself a vulture becomes bird of prey! They will kill an already weakened country, we don't have the resources for war! And ya know what!!?!?!" He turned and for a moment faced Snow, giving her a faint smile "that suits me just fine.... I don't want war, I don't want to see people die... Taking harsh revenge is too easy, we would become the monsters we hated, you think for a moment innocents would not die from our hands? No.... So many would die suffering, from sickness, wounds, battle, loneliness from those lost...... How could you ever say that would be just? We need to focus inward, fix our country and make it so strong that nobody would dare invade us again" He sighed for a moment, looking around, he could almost feel how everyone internally seemed to... well.. Not want war, he didn't think he had 'won' any argument. Nor did it even grace his mind, he was simply throwing his lot into the mix. He could not bear to let himself go silent, which, speaking of which, another fellow couldn't either. Though he was under 'oath' not to speak. "Havn't we lost enough? How many of you lost someone to the demons or the Bosco invasion? How many still mourn? You think war is waged by machines, its not, its waged by people, often the young ones. And the more who die the younger they will take, or the older. Do with it what you must, but do not start another war." As quickly as he had come, Alastor went again, silent for a moment as he turned to Snow "sorry, did I overdo it??" He asked, a bit saddened, despite the time that had passed he could still feel all the rampaging emotions that the last events had left as scars on the land. He feared those very scars would bring the world out of balance and consume it if they didn't try to bring it into order again. |

Snow was surprised at Alastor's fervor. She had rarely seen him so serious, and she was moved by his speech, even if she didn't agree with his choice of candidates. She hugged him tight, worried about him. "I'm sorry love. Sorry for the friends you lost. And the war you fought for all of us." She didn't hold onto him long. It wasn't her way to be super cuddly. "I don't think you over did it at all Doc. I think you did it just right." She smiled, her's a bit sad as well. She hated he had lost friends to Bosco. But instead of that making her change her vote, it made her want to vote for Stefan all the more. War was unpleasant, but sometimes it was necessary, and as far as she could see he was the only one who didn't promote civil war. Still when they passed a wall covered in Herad posters she left them alone. She wouldn't dishonor her friend. But the wall of loli on the next wall was a different story. She tore every poster down that she could get her hands on, smiling as the hit the ground and the cute lil one's descriptive face with them. She muttered darkly about purple haired usurpers. She didn't have to let Doc know who she did want on the throne. It was enough to know they disagreed on the purple haired Lolita. "All right Doc." She said after a few blocks. "We're at your address." She rang the bell, laughing a bit to herself at the name Smith printed prettily on the mailbox. The door was.fling wide, and a rather wide man with crazy eyes and crazier gray hair which pointed in every.direction stood there looking at them. Snow smiled a bit, but the truth was the man was in his long-johns, and it was making her uncomfortable. She cleared her throat and poked Doc in the ribs, waiting to see what he would do. |

He couldn't help but to hug Snow back tightly "I don't think hurting others will change that we were hurt, and I don't think a war would be necesarry... Its odd how those who havn't been to war want it the most until they have to be on the front lines... Have you ever been on the front lines of a major battle?" Alastor asked as he turned his face to Snow, pulling her sleave gently to signal he was ready to walk again, he felt a bit sad when he thought about the many people who had lost their lives in conflicts that by no means had any reason to exist outside that someone had upset the balance, and as such, done horrible things that echoed. "If we don't learn to live with the horrors we experience, we will become the very same monsters that cause it. Don't tell me war against Bosco would not mean burning houses with kids alive inside, destroying homes of elderly much too weak to handle themselves anymore. To call a whole nation to be evil without even knowing it... It doesn't make sense, if we do it because we don't want to hurt ourselves we are but a beast snapping in anger." Once more Alastor seemed to be lost in his own words, he didn't just speak to preach, it was also him thinking out loud, to ask himself questions so he could hear them outside of his own head. "And is that the lesson we want to teach others? Better to hurt others than to hurt yourself? To take your troubles out on others?" He gave a shiver with his whole body as he sighed "thats the opposite of what I was raised and trained to think. We must learn to accept our own flaws, to better ourselves and sometimes defeat our own demons no matter how hard it is. Admitting weakness isn't easy when its emotional... Everyone is flawed and plays dress-up as flawless beings, its once we have our masks are ripped from us our true selves are revealed" he spoke realizing a little something himself, slowly loosening his sash and letting it drop down his neck, he should still work to not need that sash to feel comfortable. "Besides, what would we wage war with? I don't think the mage-guilds can keep assisting forever, and using the dark guilds? I mean... Thats in the same moral area as the old ways of my faith, ways we abandoned because the cost was too great. We learned that finding the balance inside each and everyone of us, to strive for personal expansion was the way to attain greatness. Those who are truly balanced will see more than we ever do" He spoke giggling as he took a deep breath, sprinting a bit forward, swirling between people like a leaf in the wind, whenever he came close to someone his body seemed to swirl around it like they had been a breeze of wind. Quickly he seemed to jump from crate to wall and onto a roof top, running till he reached the end of the house, turning towards Snow as he drew out his cane, the cane giving a silver glow. And then he let himself fall. Backwards over the tall house he fell while his cane seemed to almost change shape, and so it did, it grew longer and a bit thinner than it had been before until it reached a 2 meter long staff, He held it on his back, and as he made contact with the ground his body swung with the movement while the staff remained perfectly balanced upwards, shocking people around him as he made it seem like an effortless movement to swing around the staff, finally landing on the tiny top part of it on one leg, the other raised over his knee while his hands held each other outwards of his chest "once you find balance in yourself, you will trust yourself, and with that trust you become stronger." Though as he spoke it he felt him loose his own balance - he wasn't that good yet - falling downwards without any control either. Still he knew he had a friend, and he didn't mean Shadow, who'd catch him "Trust your friends, and even if you aren't strong enough it won't matter~ " he said giggling, though he quickly stopped as he realized something. "Hey... Where's Shadow?" Who had.. Once more... Seemed to disappear. And where was he? Oh nowhere special~ He had just noted some supply-crates for the loli-princess full of posters, fliers and other propaganda stand all lonely in the crevice of the street. Stone walls to its front and back meant nothing could catch fire, well, except the crates of course. Now, you might ask, what are those matches for? And he'd answer, had he been able "well to fight propaganda - fire with fire" and he'd have laughed maniacally as the match was striken and thrown at the crates which quickly burst into flames. But obviously he had to be silent, and had he not, you'd never heard him. When did you ever hear a shadow talk eh? Luckily they soon arrived at the destination, the man greeting them as definately Smith, Alastor recognised the scent of candle-wax anywhere. And while he didn't see them he could almost sense the many hairs that seemed more like bug-antennas than anything else, also the fact he had as much hair growing out of his ears and a new patch growing in his nose didn't make it any better. "ALAAASTTOOOR! I see yuuu brught friends dah? Is good! She help great purpose dah?" He spoke as he quickly seemed to grab a ton of things and getting them for Alastor "You'll be Herad, you talk, you put postah!" He spoke laughing as he turned to Snow "ah you do too! You like Herad? I got Herad, I got Stefan too if you like pretty boy! Pretty boy real lady-swooner dah, but I only got a bit princess, and yuu are too big for dat!" he spoke laughing to himself, not realizing he may have called Snow a bit....bigger... Than Francheska and not only in terms of height. |

Snow had already begun running around trying to catch Doc ad he fell. She hadn't realized he had his own back-up system in place. She breathed a sigh of relief when she did figure it out though. She wanted to hit him, but she was too relieved. Besides that, it seemed that he had some strange friends awaiting him in the house they were at. Dress up? She thought not. That and the fact he was hinting that she was fat made her somewhat...miffed. She smiled at Alastor. "Just give me a few minutes Doc. I am gonna see if I can find your good for nothing Shadow." She gave a grin and handed him over to the an who looked at least equally as nutty as Doc himself. She took a few minutes to walk around the block. In the process she came across one of the more easily spotted buildings in the city. She grinned. It seemed some thugs had been here before her, and bad started painting a bit of graffiti on the walls. She picked up one of the cans of spray paint and made a sort of cameo portrait of her beloved Prince Stefan. She took a few moments to admire her handy work before chucking the can in a nearby dumpster. She had no inclination to stay longer than necessary and get caught. She moved away from the brick building, only then noting its front. She shoved her hands in her pockets. It seemed she had been good enough to paint the picture on the side of the local fire department. Ooops. No sign of Shadow as she rounded the block. She was near to cursing him. The voices from inside the Smith house were booming, and someone was playing a severely out of tune piano. She winced slightly and moved forward. Knocking on the door again. The selfsame man met her at the door and ushered her in. It seemed they were hosting some sort of party, and the house was full of myriad voices all clamoring to be heard at once. Not just that but a fair bit of cigar smoke filtered through the once fine town home, tuned cluttered mess. "I suppose I can play Stefan if you like?" She answered to his repeated question. "ACH and good on ya girly! I'm of the mind that his features are somewhat feminine. So it works out in the end. C'mon now, dun be shy. Just a shimmy and a shake upstairs and you'll find your costume sure nuff." |

"Sure" Alastor replied as Snow noted she wanted to go for a bit, he had to admit it was odd with Shadows tendency to disappear lately. In the moment the thought struck him that as much as he at times could feel a need for silence and time to think, he got that thanks to Shadows inability to speak, but as he thought did Shadow have that to himself? Shadow was after all usually chained to Alastor and loa knew he weren't silent. So perhaps these get-aways were to release some pent up stress? It made sense, and he noted to himself to accept that over time, Shadow had had his time in the world of the living for sure but now he was here again and he was still deep inside his core, no matter how black and smugded up, still a human. Even if Shadow felt himself above such a definition. "Why are we doing this again?" Alastor asked, he still didn't quite get his friends reasoning, in all honesty he barely remembered why he had said yes, but he was true to his word, and wasn't going to just let it be. Smith laughing, his laugh sounded like a weird repeating of the word yup, it was quite a unique laugh to say the least as the man clapped his belly and spoke "because if wi dunt make sure everyone knuws about the choices, houw is it a choice?" He spoke laughing as he quickly ensured they both got dressed up nicely, well, as nicely as could be. "now yuooo have a goood time!" Smith spoke laughing to himself as he sent the kids off, closing the door. Felt like the time they had spent in his house had been but seconds, despite it having been several minutes. All that were to remember were dust, mirrors, bronze mekanisms, candles and the costume rack. Several extra costumes resembling the stuff of other famous people as well. "Usually to my knowledge he is a pretty great tinkerer, this really is unusual" Alastor spoke shrugging, the coat that resembled Heralds weighed heavily over his shoulders, he really felt like he was looking very odd. Weird even! Imagine that! Him dressing weirdly, usually he always wore only a mix of modern and traditional garbs befitting his work! Now he was in a costume, it was very weird indeed. "Hey, any ideas where we should go?" Alastor asked not noticing he had gotten taller, suddenly bumping into Snow, and something was off in the bump, his shoulder hit a hard surface! "Where is your pillows?!" He asked quick to readjust himself, pushing his hands out to fondle the 'air', they were gone, more so, she was starting to look like she had actually turned into Stefan himself!!! |

Snow made a sound as Alastor bumped into her. Something like a grunt. She had already wrapped herself, and made sure the costume fit properly before seeking out her friend. He fist spoken sentence made her flush scarlet, of course. She smacked the reaching hand away, leaving a stinging red mark on it. "No. Don't start tying touch my...my... Erm. THEY'RE STILL THERE OKAY? I'm just hiding them while we do this.. silly thing." She pushed her hair out of her eyes and glared at the man who had been hunting for her 'pillows' two seconds before. She grumbled a bit as they made their way downstairs. The man, Smith, was still standing there. "AYY. looks good on yet." He smiled, a little too much as he ran his eyes over her body. It seemed by the flush on his face that he had hear her shouting. She sighed. "What the Hell are we supposed to be doing again?" She nearly growled. That wiped the look he had been giving her right off his face. As well the entrance of a slight willowy woman with a soft voice. She put her arm on his possessively and grinned up at him in that way that only people married for ages can do. "Now darling, you haven't even told them what they're up to? How silly of you." She gave him a soft kiss on the cheek, her only real sign of age the strands of silver threaded into her otherwise lively auburn hair. She turned nearly ice colored blue eyes on them and smiled gently. Snow liked her almost immediately and smiled right back. "No ma'am he has not. What it is we're supposed to be doing?" "Oh it's simple really. Just go put into the square, and start telling people about your candidates. I will be playing Franny." She gave a little courtesy and headed up the steps. Snow looked at Alastor, poking him in the ribs slightly with an elbow. "Fine mess you've gotten us into Doc." She said it with a laugh. |

Alastor quickly drew his hands back confused, shaking them to get rid of the sting of Snows slap "hey! Not my fault! Blind ya know, but I swear for a moment it was like they were completely gone!" He spoke, pouting for a moment, besides what was her bizz getting so upset. It was just pillows after all, not like he had somehow attacked her, well she at least had attacked him, his hand still gave off a slight red hint. It kind of reminded him that Snow was stronger than she looked, something he had often forgotten, he hadn't even seen her use magic yet, so he wondered just how strong she could become. Though it didn't take long for both of them to get outside of the house, Snow commenting on the 'mess' he had gotten them in "its harmless cosplaying, can't hurt if its for a good cause, we aren't even campaigning for anyone we are just showing people their options!" He spoke giving her a wide, non-chalant smile as they were finally walking down the streets of Pointsetta. "By the way, been up to much lately?" Alastor asked out of the blue, his hands over his neck as he seemed to be completely relaxed, despite his tired limbs and joints from the night before. "I've been busy with spirits so sorry I havn't contacted you before, that, and writing letters are hard work so like cleaning its sort of put off till the last moment ya know.." He spoke giggling to himself, sighing a bit "one of these days I'll cook ya dinner to make up for it, deal?" Giggling to himself because in reality he wasn't -really- offering anything for anything, as much as suggesting dinner, he liked cooking for people, the smiles a good meal brought always seemed genuine, nobody could eat bad food in a bad mood and not show the faintest sign of it, but nobody would hold back a smile either if served good food. "Still I feel slightly odd, this costume is so gruff, and the similarities are uncanny" Having gotten to the square, the three of them kept next to each other, Shadow laughing at the whole ordeal, several people seemed to for a moment believe them to be the real ones, something he had not expected, Alastor was much too tiny to be Herad, Snows face was sharp, but still too soft for a male and, well, 'franny' was... Yeah he didn't want to go there. |

The costume had begun to itch before they even made it all the way out the door. It was an odd tingly sensational and she really didn't like it. A pastor looked a bit odd as well, and so did the woman playing as Franny. She didn't say anything though, just left it alone. She looked at A pastor as he spoke, wondering if he had always had that five o'clock shadow on his jaw, or if it ha had always been so .. defined. She assumed he had had make-up put on while she was getting ready and blamed that. Still, the tingly itch remained with her, and she was having a hard time not scratching. "I've been all right I suppose. Busy myself so I'm half to blame for the not contacting part. I have missed you though. Both of you." She said with a pointed look at Shadow who was, for the moment, present. She then continued walking with Alastor her mind on what she could say in favor of her candidate. She took him up on his offer for dinner though. Nothing beat eating with a good friend and not having to cook. "I've just being doing lots of things for the guild mostly. Missions, which seem terribly simple honestly. I look forward to the ones that are a touch more difficult." she had been smiling until the end of this speech, when she looked a little confused and cleared her throat. Her voice had dropped quite a bit at the end, and it had confused her. She tried speaking again only to note the strange change was gone. She smiled over at Alastor. "So you've been hanging out with spirits eh? That sounds...dull." she moved a hand behind her and scratched at an itch lodged in her lower back. This costume needed to come off. And soon. She looked at the woman playing Granny, noting her eyes were large and luminous. She hadn't noticed that before. "So where are we heading?" She said to the woman, as a crowd seemed to begin forming around them. "Here seems good." She answered in a voice that wasn't quite her own. "Okay." Snow said, leaning toward Alastor. "Wow she's really getting into character." |
