It was with a confident air that Eric Bashere strode down the broad avenues of Tully Village, his eye staring ahead without paying any heed for those around him as he moved and the young teenaged boy at his side that was his constant companion. The boy's head was the one moving of this pair, he was the one looking around constantly and watching the area of the town that they moved through so quickly even though he had to take two steps to every one of the one-eyed man beside him. "Are you sure he will come?" the boy spoke as they walked, his voice pitched audibly to Eric but probably not to anyone else around them as he spoke in a near-whisper and trusting to Eric's exceptional hearing, "You do have a reputation you know." Eric did not respond to Qui'Ran's question at first, he simply walked onwards although a small smile did bloom on the corners of his lips. The question was funny to him in ways that the boy-thing could not comprehend, for while it wore the guise of a young human teenager -indeed it wore the guise that Eric himself had had when he was younger- the thing was no more human than the stones below Eric's feet. "I expect so," he said after a little while longer, a few minutes of walking at an easy but quick pace towards the North side of the town, "He knows the rules of the organisation when he joined, if he refuses he'll lose the position he fought so hard to attain." Qui'Ran didn't bother to speak again, simply shrugged slightly as they passed finally through the Tully Village and into the open area beyond. It was an interesting enough place, open and wide with large fields scattered around but it was not into any of those fields that Eric moved but instead simply stopping in the middle of the path into the North end of town itself. That was the location he had said he would wait for the man he had challenged in the note he had left. The Sword Saints was a strange little group and Eric had been unsure to join it from the start but lately something had struck him. Why should he languor at the bottom of a group of swordsmen when he was undoubtedly one of the best swordsmen in Fiore? Loosening his twin blades in their sheaths Eric waited, his posture relaxed and ready for the challenge he had issued to begin... |

Riken's foot hit the ground, the tap sharp but quiet, it was the only thing he could hear as he walked through Tully village. Eric Bashere had challenged him to a duel, one that would decide more than Riken's rank amongst the swords men. Riken wasnt scarred, after the hell he had fought through in magnolia, nothing scarred him any more, he was a shell. One that used to contain a young man full of spirit hoping to be a force for good. But what now. He had failed magnolia and had almost lost his own life, on top of that he wasn't able to save that poor little girl, who, right before dying, had said some pretty harsh words to him and had crushed his spirit, call him self righteous. Since then Riken hadn't been doing well, a downward spiral of depretion, he resulted to drinking heavily, trying to get those images out of his head. Riken had been over the most wanted list. Eric Bashere was trumped only by the dark guild masters themselves, this guy was no joke. Riken had heard rumors about Eric but nothing concrete, some said he could kill god him self, others said he was a contractor, one that had made a contract with 'evil', who followed him around in the form of a child. Riken didn't care, the rumors meant nothing, Eric Bashere would probably kill him it was inevitable. Riken exited the village into an open area, where a man, and a child, waited. The challenge had said to come to this spot so here he was. Riken looked coldly at the man who he presumed to be Eric, he was well, disappointing. He looked laid back, nothing like the monster he was depicted as, Riken didn't say a word, he just stood and waited for anything to happen. Edited by Spider-Jay, Oct 12 2014, 08:06 PM.
