Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

"Get over yourself," Artorius joked with a sarcastic tone of voice. "I left the underpants on, so relax."

Artorius couldn't help but fail to hold back a laugh as Snow imitated Artorius' own imitation. Frankly, Artorius had pretty much conjured that line and tone of voice from experience. He knew a lot of women in his life, but one in particular spoke pretty much exactly like that. Hot and cold, sweet and spicy, the effects of a tsundere can be a powerful thing, but not nearly as much as when they're hitting you upside the head because you accidentally stole a glance. Artorius wasn't having that, so he made perfectly sure that he didn't glance back and patiently enjoyed his cigarette as he waited for Snow to finish cleaning herself up.

With the two now no longer coated in blood and gore and feeling quite refreshed after a long journey that felt only half-finished at best (after all they had yet to see a single boar so far), Snow joined him on a nearby stone. Artorius nodded his reply before puffing on his cigarette, breathing out a cloud of warm light gray smoke before tossing it to the ground and stamping out the lit end. "You're right. We should be able to find a way around that's dry. I imagine this pool is used as a water source for whatever lives here, besides the bear anyway, so there's bound to be more chambers in this cavern further ahead."

Graciously accepting a few strips of dried jerky, Artorius tore off the ends of one of the strips and chewed. Frankly, the cigarette had done enough to stymy his appetite, and not simply because of the nicotine. Instead, the smoke itself was quite appetizing, being both a portable and convenient source of food for a man that was actually a Smoke Dragon Slayer. Still, it was hardly a full course meal, and the addition of meat made the meal a more proper one. Swallowing down the chewed up jerky, Artorius propped his sword up between his legs, resting one end against one of his knees. A moment later, Snow brought up his swordsmanship.

Was he going to tell her that he was a Sword Saint? Fat chance. Artorius wasn't the sort to brag much. Plus, he disliked revealing too much about himself and his capabilities. Though, given how she asked, and so politely too, Artorius felt compelled to share a bit of his story. Besides, it was unlike him to completely dismiss the requests of a woman. "A little bit of practice, but mostly experience," he spoke in short before going on to elaborate. "I can't deny that fact that wasn't the first gigantic bear I've had to deal with. Now, I'm sure you can imagine that I'm not the sort to live a... ordinary lifestyle, and by ordinary I mean a 'not-dangerous' one." As if he actually needed to say that considering his body was riddled with a lion's share of old scars ranging from blade wounds to bullet holes. "Though, that doesn't really answer your question does it? Where, huh?" he paused, thinking over his answer. He wasn't really planning to tell her he spent those six months in the Lancarri training with a dragon. That would sound a bit absurd. Plus, that was his secret to keep. Instead, he was skipping over that part and going onto speak about another place he trained in. Though, the delay admittedly made it seem as though he were a bit dodgy about the subject even if he did speak with a smooth silver tongue. "I spent some time in the Taiji Mountains. Luckily, they didn't force me to shave my head. I practiced a bit there, but it was experience more than anything."

"Now, what was it you said before? Information is a form of currency? I like that, actually. I'll probably steal that line sometime. Anyway, you've heard enough about me. Tell me about yourself. You seem like you have more than a few stories to tell."

Snow agreed whole-heartedly that they should continue on. After all, they had yet to site their true prize, and she wasn't about to give up. Killing a bear was a small price to pay for bacon that might very well be the best tasting meat ever seen in Fiore. She listened quietly as Artorius answered her question, arching a brow as he said he didn't live an ordinary non-dangerous life. "You don't say?" She said with a smirk, her hand moving up automatically to point out his guild tattoo. "And here I thought all those dark mages in Grimoire heart were just easy going and gentle as lambs. Though I will say experience tends to be the best teacher."

She said it with the smirk still on her face, and a slight laugh to indicate her teasing. She was fairly naive, but not as naive as all that. Besides which now that she could see him close to properly, he did have a multitude of scars and marks on him which indicated a hard living. She went silent again as he explained further. "The Taiji huh? I had a ... friend there not long ago. It's one of my favorite places, actually." She didn't mention that was where her master, the man who had been more like a father to her, had finally made her ready to rejoin the world at large after years of wandering. She didn't tell him that was her true home, or that she knew that place, mist or no, better than her own skin. She had her secrets too after all.

The hesitation was just that for her hesitation. A moment to consider how much to say, or not say. What he kept was his business. If she really wanted to pry, she would have asked after his magic, not his sword play which could be learned in many places and ways. But she wouldn't do that. They were still mostly strangers after all. Just a couple of strangers who happened to be after the same goal. She grinned as he said he would use her line. "Whenever you like. It's true enough in the scheme of things. All information is priceless, one way or another."

Of course he decided to question her as well, or more like, she thought, deflect any questions she might ask. Most females would probably be spouting off several things at that point. Snow wasn't really one of them. "I don't think I've much to tell. You know I've been hunting for ages, and my name, and now my magic. And that I love the Taiji mountains." She gave a small smile. "I suppose I could offer up that I had a twin sister once. Rose Red. Unfortunately... I won't be seeing her again for some time." She didn't elaborate, nor did she want to. That particular wound was still fresh.

She took a moment to gaze out over the water again, then finished off her food. She stood and stretched, putting her equipment back in place. She though vaguely she should start carrying a cloak or something. She shifted again from foot to foot, her only sign of the restless energy eating almost always gave her. "No rush. Ready when you are." She said to her companion, not wanting to make him leave if he wasn't ready. She just wasn't capable of being still at that moment, so she kept shifting, her eyes going this way and that around the small water source. She had seen no tracks, no signs of animals on this side. Perhaps what they sought would be on the other..or in yet another deeper cavern...

"Easy going? Maybe. As for gentle I believe that depends on the the situation," Artorius shot back with a smug grin stretched across his facial features.

Personally speaking, Artorius was hardly a good representative of his guild's tenets and membership. Artorius highly lacked the interest in magical research, legitimate or not, and his ways were far more gray than the guild's usual shades that veered far more towards black. Artorius wasn't a complete anomaly, however, as there were others like him. Grimoire Heart, to Artorius and some others, was simply a place to be without being questioned or judged, a meager alliance of convenience. It's hardly easy to find a place that can harbor criminals effectively and safely.

Artorius listened with a raised eyebrow and an expression of interest as Snow spoke about her own experiences in the Taiji Mountains. The woman's pause and brief moments of hesitation indicated that there was more to the story than she was letting on. Hardly a problem, Artorius thought to himself, as he did the exact same thing when he spoke about himself. Secrets serve a vital purpose. Often, you simply don't want to speak about them due to discomfort or fear of alienation, but more often than not it was simply out of self-preservation in Artorius' own case. Of course, they were still relative strangers to each other, though Artorius might argue that they were "acquaintances" by now, though whether that meant much or not was another matter entirely.

"The Taiji is an amazing place, no doubt, but as for that confusing mist... Not so much,"
he spoke with a shrug of his shoulders.

With the conversation shifting back to Snow, Artorius listened intently. She didn't say much besides what he already knew, with her paraphrasing to remind herself of what she had told him. However, after her small smile with which she spoke about the glorious Taiji, she spoke about her twin sister. Her expression hardly faded, but Artorius could vividly tell that speaking about it was like tearing open the stitches of a fresh wound -- unpleasant. Artorius understood immediately and made no further mention or gesture. He couldn't begin to truly understand, having never had siblings to call his own, or even a family. Artorius only ever had friends with which he often questioned where their loyalty laid, something he had to do in order to preserve himself. He had experienced loss and overwhelming grief, but he knew not the sting of losing someone with whom you shared blood.

There existed a momentary contemplative silence between the two before they finished eating and resting. A quick stretch and the two were rearing to move yet again, this time moving around the water source. There existed no tracks or shifts in the pebbles, no tracks of animals either. It was likely they had to continue deeper into the cavern, but as they moved and entered a series of chambers that grew progressively larger and larger with each and every advancement, Artorius was beginning to imagine that they were getting closer.

However, moving deeper into the cavern (both laterally and vertically) the temperature would steadily rise as they approached closer to the Earth's core. It was only a descent of a few hundred yards stretched over a long gentle slope, however the temperature increased by several degrees, enough that it was matching the warmth of the exterior of this cave. Yet, it was even worse here due to the presence of moisture and the pools of water which continually winded down further into the cave, causing a strong and absolute humidity that caused the hair on Artorius' head to stick and fling to his face.

He hated humidity, that was a given, but there was another danger within this cave. The further you go the more you're exposed to certain dangers. Among them were gas leaks, and Artorius was privy of them as he could smell them significantly farther away than others due to his draconic sense of smell. Holding a hand out, Artorius paused and stopped themselves in their tracks. "Stay as close to the pool of water as you can and cover your mouth and nose. There's a gas leak not far from where we are. It won't kill us immediately at this proximity, but it might cause us to lose consciousness and then kill us by oversaturation if we linger too long. Let me know if you're feeling light-headed at all, and I'll help you move faster so we can get away from the leak as soon as possible."

As they moved it was easy to sense their direction. Snow had of course never been this far before and she had no idea what to expect this far in. The heat nearly surprised her, though she didn't mind it much to start with. Not until she was somewhat more dry and it ended up making sweat run in her eyes and down her back, not to mention the head of dark curls which immediately became plastered to her neck and face. She wanted to groan about it, but she bore it instead. If her companion (who's hair was now sticking up in the funniest random spikes or stuck to his face conversely,) could bear it she could too. Though he did have the advantage of being shirtless.

She nearly missed his hand sticking out to stop her. Nearly. She skidded to a halt in time, pushing her wet hair out of her eyes, and wiping away the beads of sweat which clouded her eyes."What is it?" She said in a whisper before he told her about the fumes. She wondered how he could tell, and for a moment shot him a look of curiosity. Now was not the time to ask, she didn't think. But she filed the question away for later. She simply nodded, taking the crimson ribbon from around her arm and wrapping it around her nose and mouth firmly before tying it behind her head. This left her hands free to use her weapon if necessary.

She nodded her understanding of the gas as well. Light headed would be bad, and make her a burden besides. None of that, she thought firmly. She walked behind him, letting him show her the way, and doing as he had said. She stayed close to the pool, her steps measured for usefulness and her eyes darting around for signs of trouble. They were going along quite well, even hurrying a little she thought. It took her a moment to realize that she had made an accidental step into the pool without realizing it. She had indeed become a.bit woozy, but not enough for her to feel the need to make him slow on her account. Still, she reasoned, better to say something now than.pass out and cause more problems. "Little light headed Artorius." Her voice came out nearly too soft for anyone but herself to hear, especially with the cloth over her face. She cleared her throat and put a hand forward to get his attention. She had meant to tug on his sleeve before belatedly remembering he didn't currently have one.

She touched his shoulder instead after a moment's hesititation. She really wouldn't have to say anything if he turned, her glassy gaze more than enough of an indication that she was having some problems. But she spoke all the same. "Light headed. Little help please?" That was the best she could manage as her thoughts began to scatter a bit. She only hoped she wasn't being far too much trouble in the end. It wasn't like her to ask in the first place. If not for her dislike of becoming a bigger burden, she likely would have been stupid about it and said nothing at all. As it was, she was probably worse off than she realized. And he had said to tell him after all, she reminded herself.

The glassy look in her eyes was more than enough for Artorius to know that Snow was barely hanging in there. Truth be told, Artorius was feeling woozy himself but his physical abilities (hello 68 Stamina score) were keeping him from being in a rather similar condition that Snow was in. Artorius only regretted not noticing prior, something he blamed himself for and would feel a bit of mental and personal backlash from in a matter of moments. However, first things first was getting out of here.

Artorius threw her arm around his own shoulder in order to help her walk a bit more. However, upon turning a corner and witnessing that there was a long stretch of space to go, Artorius realized that time was of the essence. They either had to eliminate the noxious gas or continue walking through. However, considering how their walking pace had been effectively reduced to a slow and sluggish pace there was little he could do about it.

Artorius was a man of gray morality. In his line of work, the seedy underground world of grave robbers and thieves, it was common to drop someone where they fall and keep moving. Doing otherwise was considered foolish, nobody wanted to lug around dead weight. However, Artorius saw it differently. Too often had he been wronged, stabbed in the back, and thrown under the bus by people he felt he could trust. Artorius planned on getting out of here alive, but he knew for a fact that he would do so without leaving Snow behind.

Several months ago when Tessera was under siege there was a woman. A demonness, one who arrived with the rest of the horde. She fought against humanity for a time, but ultimately when things mattered she turned the tides, fighting alongside Artorius and the others to save the city. She gave her life, but Artorius felt this was only because he lacked the strength to see things to the end on his own. Since then, Artorius promised himself he wouldn't let a companion die, that he would be strong enough to prevent such a tragedy from happening again. Regardless of whether or not his thoughts were foolish or naive, that he was being a brat struggling against inevitability or the laws of causality, Artorius was stubborn when he made his mind up.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Artorius took a deep breathe. The light-headedness was painful, but the breathe was necessary. The man held Snow against his chest for a moment, cradling her head and covering her ears. She would need it. "Kemuryu (Smoke Dragon's)..." he began before his voice suddenly burst into a massive, ear-splitting roar. "...no Hoko (Roar)!"

A huge blast of silver smoke tore through the cave, splitting rock and causing a tremendous amount of rumbling. The magical smoke tore through the granite like it was nothing, destroying everything it touched. But, his aim was precise and with purpose. Rocks fell from the ceiling, sealing off the caverns behind them, covering the walls and chambers from which the noxious gas emanated.

Yet, his decision to close off the walls was not without consequence. Rocks began to fall every where, even above them. Even worse, remnants of the gas remained, and given how Artorius had to purposefully inhale a huge amount of air (which contained the gas) he was feeling extremely weak. His lungs and eyes burned like fire, and he had to do everything he could to make sure he breathed slowly, as the body's natural response was to breathe faster but such would only accelerate his demise.

Using every ounce of strength left in his body, he lifted her body up in his arms, cradling her. Leaping forward, he released an outward blast of smoke which propelled them forward, covering a distance of at least thirty-five meters. They reached a chamber at the end of the distance, and the cave behind them was sealed shut from the debris and cave-in Artorius had caused, but they were alive. Barely. But Artorius was unconscious and barely breathing.

He had helped her walk for a little bit. But even in her state, she knew that she was moving too slow, making it too difficult. She didn't want to make him fall as well. She tried hard to pull her own weight, but it wasn't working. She could see the long passageway that they came to, the cloth on her face affording her a bit more protection, keeping her from being completely out of it. She was going back and forth though, between awake in a weird feverish vivid way, and nearly blacking out. She felt her head cradled against his chest, his heartbeat reaching her ears, and the deep breath he took easy to hear against his chest. The other hand he put over her ear to keep her from hearing.. what sounded like an ear splitting explosion which rocked through the cavern, and for a moment Snow could breath more easily. She took a few deep breaths in fact, though part of it was still tainted.

She could feel the burning in her lungs caused by the gas, though it was being replaced by something else. Still she found it difficult to focus, to move her limbs properly. She could hear rocks falling, the cave was collapsing, and she had enough sense to chide herself for being so useless. He picked her up then, doing something else. She didn't register precisely what it was, though she could see something like smoke trailing in the air.

In a few moments he had set her down, and the sounds of the cave-in trickled away. She took a few deep breaths, precious oxygen filling her lungs even as she realized that the guy who kept saving her ass was ominously still. She felt his chest and his pulse, pulling down her make-shift mask. "Artorius?" It was a small question, in a small voice. Not that of the capable companion he had spent the day with thus far. She cleared her throat, still sore from the fumes. It occurred to her then, she had seen something like this before, but where? She put a hand to his chest, feeling the very small rise and fall, the heart beat faint. Her grey eyes went wide. She had to act fast, but she wasn't sure where to start, how to help. In that moment she would have killed to exchange her magic for something capable of healing instead. But she knew she had to make do, tamp down the rising panic. Act first. Worry later.

Perhaps the gods were being kind, as in that moment a certain flamboyant womanizer came to mind, and his particular powers obtained from a certain mythical creature. The thin trail behind them had been smoke, and Suijin had said.. they eat the element, it revitalized them... this all clicked together within a matter of seconds, and a good thing too. The way Artorius was acting, he didn't have time for a lot of puzzling. Smoke, she thought, where the Hell would she get... ah. His cigarettes and lighter were here somewhere, she knew it. She patted his pockets tentatively. "Hang on Artorius. Don't you go anywhere. And please goddess be kind enough to let me be right." She found the cigarettes and lighter easily enough, and fumbled both out of his pocket. She wasn't sure how smoking worked precisely, but she thought it had to be fairly simple. Cigarette between lips, lighter at the end, click and.. what?.. inhale.

She gave it a go, and found herself choking though there was smoke with it. Okay now what? She she put one hand on each side of his chest, and leaned in close. She didn't think about what she was doing, not in the normal sense. She was too afraid she was going to lose him to worry about niceties or propriety. Suijin had eaten his element, so she assumed, hopefully correctly that Artorius would be the same and she wouldn't make it worse. She said a silent prayer to the Lady most Kind, and opened his mouth slightly wider.

She took a long drag on the cigarette, inexperienced enough not to inhale the smoke but to hold it in her mouth. He was still breathing, so she blew the smoke she held gently into his mouth, not touching, just blowing the smoke in. She couldn't see a change, so she did it again, burning her finger in her haste. She blinked back tears when the same thing got no response. "Don't die on me please. I'm so sorry." She did it a third time, hoping something might change...

Artorius was omn relatively rough shape. Unconscious and barely breathing, he required more than a little bit of help to get back to working order. Thankfully, Artorius wasn't alone, and Snow reacted quickly, scrambling to find something, anything to come to his aid with. Using logic and past experience, the woman had figured out a plan to rescuscitate him. It was by no means guaranteed to work, but something was better than nothing. Sparking one of his cigarettes with his lighter, she took a mouthful of smoke before blowing it gently into his mouth.

The first mouthful seemingly did nothing. His body was feeling more and more cold. But, after the second mouthful, he began to stir to consciousness until, after the third, he suddenly jolted awake. His body seized up, and his neck propelled his head. Their mouths crashed against one another for a brief moment, and Artorius eyes suddenly shot open before pulling back.

After being saved from the brink, he suddenly crawled backwards and drew his knife from his hip, fearful for his life. He had forgotten where he was and what had happened for a moment. His survival instincts developed from a life of danger had kicked in. But, as his vision refocused and he saw his saviour, Artorius slackened his grip on the hilt of his blade and let it sink back into its sheath. Breathing a sigh of relief, Artorius stepped forward and snatched the cigarette from her hand. "Give me that..." he spoke with a wheeze.

With one long drag, then holding the smoke deep into his lungs, he breathed out a thick cloud of smoke along with a satisfied sigh. However, as soon as he finished his cigarette he made a sudden realization. "How did you know...?" Artorius stared, his expression equally showing his gratitude and genuine curiosity. Firstly, he couldn't be more thankful for someone saving his life. That wasn't something that Artorius took lightly by any means. He was the sort to remember his debts and pay them two-fold. However, he couldn't deny the fact that what she had done meant she knew what Artorius was -- a Dragon Slayer. Had she met another one before? For now, he believed that she lacked ill intent towards his sort as others had, a defining reason as to why Artorius kept his magic hidden. His was a rare breed, and there existed those that sought to capture, interrogate, and experiment on Dragon Slayers. "How did you know that would bring me back?" he spoke, more firmly this time.

Snow was more surprised than anything when Artorius' face slammed into her's, teeth hitting her lower lip painfully. But that didn't matter. She couldn't move for a moment as her single thought was joy that he was still alive. She moved back at the same time he did, her back coming up hard against the wall in her haste. His haunted expression in his yes, and the way he stared around as if lost cautioned her against either speaking or moving much. She didn't want to startle a man with a big knife. Right now, she was nearly certain that he was unaware of her and that might be a good thing. She doubted in that moment that he would know friend from foe. She stared at him wide eyed, until he seemed to relax, and then put his weapon away. She couldn't find words, not even when he took the still burning (and completely forgotten) cigarette from her hand. She knew for sure she never wanted to attempt smoking again. Her mouth felt funny.

It took her a moment to realize that had less to do with the cigarette and more to do with the nice split on her lip. She licked the blood away and attempted a small smile even as Artorius, looking terribly confused from her perspective, asked half of the question she had been expecting. It was less than a few seconds later, and she was trying to gather her wits again, when he asked. He sounded more than curious this time. "I may...have met someone somewhat like you before." She looked at him, wanting him to know she was being honest. A power like the one he had probably had draw backs. Like people wanting to use him. "It was the... the roar I think is what it's called that made it click. The other one, he ate his element. But he used similar technique. So I thought... I thought it might save you. I had to try." It was a lame explanation at best, but she couldn't risk another friend's identity to make this one trust her. She wouldn't do that.

"I won't say his name, but he used an element. I never thought of smoke as an element, but I suppose I can see how that would make sense. And I... remembered the smoke when you jumped." She knew it was still half-assed at best, but it was likely to be the best she could do. She gave a shrug. She wouldn't tell him she had feared he would die with her sitting by helpless after he had saved her life. She wouldn't tell him that she had been close to tears. She would say nothing to make her sound weak or emotional. But she did manage, "I... Thank you, for what you did back there." It was said quietly, but with feeling not often shown by this one. If there had been a doubt before about them being more than strangers it was gone now. She might not ever know anything more about him than she did right now, and she would still come to his aid in future whatever the cost. "I owe you my life several times over. I won't forget that."

She slid down the wall, her legs tired and her face still hot. Her throat still burned slightly, and she was shaking a bit. Not from hurt but from the panic she had pushed away when she thought he was dying. "Just...just give me a few minutes." She sat, head down, waiting while her whole body shook, the adrenaline spending itself in only a few moments. She raised her head from where she had laid it on her knees, and took a drink from her canteen. Even the water burned a little, but at least she was okay, at least the both were.

A quick survey of the room showed her the blocked passage she hadn't noticed before. And that there was still a way forward. "I vote sitting for bit before we go on. I think my legs might still be a bit like jelly for the moment." She managed a smile, and licked away the blood on her lip again. She put the mask back up on her face and leaned her head against the wall, hoping it would catch most of the blood. Just in case she put a hand to it to make sure it would stop soon.

It all began to make more sense when the Snow explained that she had met another Dragon Slayer. She didn't mention her name but he immediately understood that she did so for a purpose, one that Artorius knew well. Still, that didn't stop him from wondering. Immediately, Artorius knew it couldn't have been Relyk Swiftblade, as then the mention of Grimoire Heart would have been more significant. The only other Dragon Slayers Artorius had met was Suijin of Tartaros, so he considered that possibility, but he knew there were others, at least one other in Quatro Cerberus. Nevertheless, as much as he desired to seek out the others like him, Artorius let the conversation drop.

"Most people don't see smoke as an element, and I usually just let others think I'm a simple smoke mage but I can't do that with you after you saw what I did,"
Artorius spoke with a shrug of his shoulders as he leaned against a nearby boulder, wincing slightly from a bit of soreness and stiffness still lingering about in his body. The man shook his head as Snow vehemently thanked him for saving his life. However, he thought otherwise. They saved each others' lives, and frankly that's all that mattered. Artorius wasn't going to forget that gesture any time soon. "Consider it repaid, but we're not completely out of the oven yet. We may have to save each other a few more times before the day is done."

Noticing that Snow's lip was cracked, and then noticing that his own was as well, he reached into one of his pockets and retrieved a metal flask. The contents were alcoholic, but it was the flask itself that was most important. Unscrewing the cap, he took a swig and the wound on his lip rapidly accelerated its recovery. The effect was not instantaneous, and it admittedly stung feeling alcohol against his lip, but it was well worth having a cut lip for the rest of the day. After, Artorius also poured a bit of the contents onto his wounds to disinfect them. They were mostly cuts and scrapes, nothing major, but better safe than sorry. "Drink some of this," he spoke to her before tossing her the flask. "The flask is enchanted. Drinking its contents will speed up your recovery, but the drink itself is quite stiff."

It was amusing to say the least that the method through which Artorius healed himself was literally through smoking and drinking. However, he couldn't complain since it simultaneously took care of his wounds and energy but also helped take the edge off. Still, that flask had helped him through many situations like these, whether or not he drank it to heal himself or poured the flask to disinfect his wounds. Reaching into his pack, Artorius retrieved a roll of bandages and wrapped them around his hand and arm which took the brunt of his fall before handing the roll to Snow.

Snow was going to argue, but she could see that it would be pointless. She knew better than to try and argue with a guy holding onto his convictions like that. She moved a little, stretching arms and legs, searching for hidden aches or pains that might be cause for concern. It seemed her ankle was sore. She looked at Artorius as he spoke. "Wouldn't tell anyone. You have my word on that." She could understand a little why he wouldn't want the fact advertised. An ace in the hole for one thing, and besides that people could be remarkably cruel. After all, it was only a year or two before when she had been lured by promises of help with her curse, and had ended up half dead and nearly out of blood on some crazy woman's table. She shook the memory off, and listened again. "I can't say that I will consider it even, but I will say you're probably right. I think I picked the worst possible cave system to head into." She gave a smile, some vestige of her earlier joy still there. Yes she was tired, and sore, but at least they were both still breathing.

Her lip stung as she smiled, and she noted that Artorius has a similar split in his lip. She shook her head a little bit, realizing only know what had happened exactly. She hadn't been Hit by his face so much as... Nah. She didn't want to consider that right now. Accidents happened. She would live. No need to make this awkward. Moving on! She was about ready to start moving properly when he called out about the flask. He had an answer for everything. She gave another smile after taking a quick sniff of the contents. It would do. She didn't drink. ften, but she thought today might be good for a little something. She took a quick drink, feeling the contents burn down her throat and warm her belly. She couldn't help making a comical face, especially when it stung her lip. She passed the flask back as he handed her the bandages.

She removed her boot again, and the stocking to reveal a rather large bruise. It seemed she had managed to twist her ankle a little, though she knew it wasn't broken. That was something she had done before. She wrapped it just tight enough, going around and then under the arch of her foot as she tied it off and handed it back to him. "You must be a boy scout.." She said with another laugh. "So prepared." She herself had brought little beyond basic supplies. Of course she hadn't thought that injury was likely. Usually hunting trips didn't get this complicated for her.

She put her stocking and shoe back on making a point of standing and moving around some. It seemed she was lucky, and that while it ached a bit, it was hardly unbearable. She would manage. She made another face as she looked at the way they had yet to take. "Ready when you are Artorius. I would say it can't get worse, but... I don't want to tempt fate."
