The mouth of the cave was exceptionally large, wide enough for four people standing beside one another to enter effortlessly. In terms of height, it was tall enough for two large men standing on each other to enter, and that was including the large stalactites that jutted out from the roof of the cave, it was even larger in the sections of the opening where it lacked that feature. It was a humongous cave, and as Artorius stared at the opening he began to feel a strong sense of nostalgia. Perhaps it was the mention of the Lancarri that had started it all, but this cave reminded him of his time spent there. For much of those six months, Artorius lived in a cave not too different from this. He and that silver-touched Dragon trained in the smoke-drenched cave. Artorius smirked softly as the woman was startled a bit by the sudden flicker of his lighter. While it gave them a way to see around Artorius wished that he brought a torch with him as it would provide an even better lighting source. A steady dripping sound could be heard echoing through the cavern. Luckily, it was cool inside the cave as the moisture would turn this place into a sauna if it was warm. Still, that didn't stop Artorius from having to wipe off a bead of sweat from his brow every now and again. Soon, they found themselves at a crossroads. Immediately, Artorius wanted to choose the larger opening mostly out of convenience. As much as he had to do so in his line of work, Artorius wasn't entirely fond of crawling. "We'll take the right. I tend to prefer not spending time on my knees," he cracked wise as he lead the way into the natural doorway. Of course, his decision wasn't simply out of laziness or convenience. Instead, Artorius genuinely felt the right door had a better chance of having boars inside simply because larger specimens would have a hard time getting through the shorter entrance. Granted, Tusker was simply way too large for either entrance, but his consorts and companions were another story. Deeper into the granitic cave, the flecks of mica and tourmaline within the cave appeared much larger. This caused the walls of the cave to sparkle and glow, particularly on the roof where the array of sparkling and glittering minerals created the appearance of a star-lit sky. "Quite the view," the man remarked as he rubbed his chin in admiration and thought. After crossing through a natural hallway within the cave, they reached a chamber that was illuminated with an almost neon-green color. A natural stone bridge granted them entry across a wide abyss but there was a problem. Emanating from the roof was a dense green mist. "Poison Moths," Artorius spoke as he observed the roof. The huge green moths could be seen clinging to the roof of the ceiling at least thirty meters overhead. He was familiar with these creatures not as a hunter, but instead as a grave robber. These creatures gorged themselves on a neon green-colored mushroom, poisonous of course, and thus had built a powerful adaptation -- the ability to secrete the absorbed mushroom to defend their territories. Commonly, Artorius had encountered these moths in caves leading to hidden graves and tombs. "There's no way around them. The only way across is over that bridge. We can either shoot them down from here or we can cover ourselves, hold our breath, and run across. I'll trust your instincts -- what should we do?" |

Snow did her best to remain serious as Artorius gave his reason for picking the second opening. She failed utterly and cracked a fairly wide grin. She could laugh at a dirty joke or a good bit of innuendo just as well as the next person. So long as it wasn't aimed directly at her. She put her bow over her shoulder again, figuring that either opening would be too narrow to accommodate both her and the rest of her stuff. She would end up being only partially right, as she followed Artorius to the right. The hallway was large enough that they could have passed side by side if they so chose. She reasoned that while it might be hard for the pig to make its way through here, it wouldn't be impossible. Not only that be she could feel score marks in the stone as she trailed her hand along the wall. She wished she had more light to see by. If it get too dark she might improvise, but for now the light Artorius was providing was good enough. "Something has passed this way. I don't know of course if it was recent or not. But I can feel the marks it left behind. Whatever it was, it was large and had to squeeze itself through here." Even if it wasn't their target, it was ways good to be aware that something large had been here, even if it was here no longer. It was a lovely part of the cave, even if she knew it wasnt actually stars glowing, she had enough whimsy left to pretend. "It is quite pretty here though." She stopped as they entered the larger cavern. It seemed there was a decent way across, but she took the man's word when he said the creatures were poisonous. "Cover ourselves?" She whispered incredulously. "Do I look like I have something to cover myself with hidden close by?" She did a quick little twirl."So...kill them it is. I assume aiming for the head would be the thing to remember. It's so lucky they make such good targets." Their lovely glow would be their down fall. "I will take the one on the left. Since I'm already on the left." Shifting around would just be a pain. Plus she hadn't killed anything in hours. She took careful aim, happy that the difference in lower and upper wing sizes as well as the substantial amount of green glowiness made it simple to sight her target. If she shot it in the head, it should come down easily enough. She drew the string taught, took steady aim and pulled back hard. She would loose the arrow easily enough, watching it fly in a nearly straight line toward her intended target. Now she would just hope that Artorius could take care of his side. Snow would watch as her arrow struck home, and a strange sound arose. It seemed she had hit her target, but this thing was rather large. And it had a dying twitch just like everything else. It's wings, which were huge, beat a single time. It might not have been so bad, if not for the culmination of poison dust already on the bridge. That and the fact the wind kicked up by the twitch sent all of it flying in their direction. "Well fu--" was all she got to say. It was either run or hold her breath and turn her back. She chose the latter, hoping Artorius would have the sense to do so as well. She silently cursed herself for not being prepared for this outcome as she crouched with her back to the bridge, and her only available piece of cloth, her bag, pressed against her nose. |

Keeping Artorius Sidonis from wise cracking is hardly an easy task. Double this if Artorius was in the presence of women, increasing exponentially if they just so happen to have a charming personality and likewise physicality. Still, Artorius was mildly pleased that Snow cracked a grin at Artorius' sly sense of humor. If there was anything that ruined a hunting party it was a stick in the mud, so he was glad that his sense of humor didn't entirely fall on deaf ears. You can't be much of a comedian if you lack an audience, after all. Nevertheless, Artorius was quite serious as he listened to Snow speak about the passage. She was right. Artorius could tell that animals passed through this area through his superior sense of smell. There were two other things that confirmed this theory. The first is what Snow spoke of -- the marks left behind on the walls. Whatever traveled through this passage was large, large enough that it had to squeeze through the walls and therefore had left marks on the cave walls as it did so. "Nothing like a tight squeeze," Artorius joked, pushing his boundaries, but he was the sort of man who enjoyed a bit of risky behavior every now and then. At any rate, the second fact that confirmed Snow's statement was the that the dirt on the floor was so heavily stamped in, beaten down by the residents of this cave. If otherwise, the dirt would be loose, but the path was heavily beaten down. As Snow remarked over how pretty it was in here, Artorius smirked and glanced at her and, without missing a beat, spoke, "Yeah, you've got that right." Within the larger cavern, Snow had elected to take down the moths. Artorius reached for one of his pouches strapped onto his belt, retrieving a pair of steel. Holding one in each hand, Artorius aimed before accurately throwing each knife. The two knives embedded themselves in the head of one of the moths, and it careened to the right before falling to the wayside and into the abyss below. However, even with careful aim and a perfect hit, the creature twitched and beat a huge gust, sending poisonous dust in every which direction. Artorius wasn't willing to sacrifice his bag. If he lost his bag, then that meant losing the contents -- the food, and the containers meant to store whatever he carved out from Tusker. The poison wasn't a mere ordinary poison, but it was also a powerful corrosive. Swearing under his breath, Artorius tossed his pack at his feet. Unzipping his jacket and stretching it out in a swift series of movement, the man moved closely to Snow and wrapped himself and the jacket around him while holding his breath. He felt the painful sting of the corrosive against whatever flesh of his he failed to expose, but he managed to avoid breathing in the dust. His dark blue-colored jacket suffered the wrath of the poisonous moth's death throes, but it was a small price to pay in exchange for survival. The poison tore through the jacket, incinerating it, and Artorius immediately tossed it aside when the wave of green dust ceased. "You alright?" Artorius spoke with a grimace as he felt the sting of the corrosive agent against his skin. It was akin only to a minor burn, but it was nothing he couldn't handle, nor nothing serious. Once he realized that he still had his body closely pressed against hers, Artorius stepped back as if it never happened. While Artorius was a constant flirt around women, he took matters of life and death quite seriously to such a degree that he was barely cognizant of the position he was in just then. However, a moment later he realized he was at a loss. No jacket, and he wasn't wearing a shirt underneath due to the heat. Here stood Artorius Sidonis in his shirtless glory. At least he had a beach body with toned muscles and those abs. I'd, Mazohyst, would probably go gay for that. 75 percent chance. Maybe. "We should move while the surviving moths aren't showering this place," Artorius suggested before slinging his backpack over his shoulder and leading the rest of the way across towards safety. Snow was more than a little surprised to find herself suddenly shielded. She wasn't used to people looking out for her much, so it was an odd sensation. More so because she put her face down close to his shoulder to keep from getting hurt. She let out her breath in a rush, happy they had managed to survive. He had moved back rather quickly, and she had already answered with, "I'm fine. Nothing I can't handle. You?" She knew he had borne the brunt of it, though she had a few minor burns where the corrosive nastiness had eaten through his jacket and her bag, leaving a place or two on her arm and back. Nothing major. It was at this moment that she realized he was half naked. And that he had been shirtless when she was pressed up against him. Most females no doubt would have reacted with a blush, or by worshipping his heretofore unmentioned or noted hotness. Not Snow. She pressed her lips together and cocked her head, then shook it slightly. A small laugh escaped, which she quickly repressed as it echoed through the cavern. "Why do guys always end up half naked around me?" She said it on an amused sigh, then nodded her agreement about moving on. "Sorry about your jacket by the way. And thanks for the save." She gave a grin and picked up what was left of her bag. The side with the dead squirrels had been eaten away, as well as a good portion of their tiny bodies. There went the bait. She threw them into the chasm which opened up beneath the bridge, and hurried across before she had to worry about another one of the Damn moths coming up."Bad call on my part apparently too." She shook her head at herself, and moved on. She didn't dwell on her mistakes so much as learn from them. She would gladly replace the jacket when they were clear of here, or at least offer him the money to do so himself. Crossing the bridge she got back into Hunter mode. It seemed that the new place they were in was close to water, because she could hear it running quite clearly. She wondered how far down they would have to go to find it. The next cavern before them seemed to be wider than the others, which was saying something. Not only that, but she could make out another opening leading inwards which was nearly as large as the cave mouth itself. She couldn't find the source of the sound of water still. "Must be farther in. I am guessing there is a fair amount of echo in a place like this. It could literally be anywhere." They could be standing on top of it and they might not know. They pretty lights from the hallway took up residence here as well. She couldn't see any reflection of their soft glow, so she thought it was a safe assumption that it wasn't right here with them. She took a few steps in the direction of the larger opening. As she did so she heard a soft clicking and something like labored breathing. She readied her bow, just in case and took a few more steps. There was something else here, she just wasn't sure what. |

"Would it surprise you if I said that happened a lot to me too? Just not with men," Artorius spoke with a hearty chuckle and a cheeky grin that simply spoke 'not that I'm complaining' without words. Still, Artorius had a strange knack for losing articles of clothing. It was almost as if a strange, other-dimension being controlled his every existence and toyed with him at a whim. Curious. "Don't worry about it. I make it a point not to let my companions die," Artorius shook his head, speaking in a straightforward fashion. Obviously, any good man worth his salt had reservations about letting such a thing happen. However, for a man in Artorius' line of work such a quality was quite rare. The man recalled many a time how he had been left to drift at the bottom of a river because his so-called allies abandoned him. Perhaps that fear of betrayal was responsible for Artorius being somehow more honorable than your average cut throat, or maybe he was more of an altruist than he let others in on. Either way, Artorius hardly minded coming to her aid. "As far as I'm concerned I doubt either of us could have anticipated that. It's water under the bridge." With his backpack secured onto his shoulders and his sword resting between his back and his pack, the two crossed the bridge after having a moment to lick their wounds. The rest of the cross was relatively uneventful, something Artorius was certainly pleased about. Once across the rock bridge they entered a larger chamber within the cave system. The Muscovite mica and tourmaline flecks within the granite were visible here too, but once more they were unable to find the boar or the source of water. However, just behind them they could hear the clicking of claws on the ground and heavy, labored breathing down their necks. A fierce swipe cut through the air, one aimed at cutting right through their flimsy little bodies. Diving, Artorius tackled Snow to the ground, narrowly preventing either of the two from getting their heads lopped off. Quickly pulling her back to her feet, Artorius scrambled and turned to face the creature. It was a bear -- massive in size. One of its eyes was heavily scarred, blinded but burning crimson in rage. On all fours, the massive grizzly was at least three men tall, and it was even wider all around. A massive hump on its back was rippling with muscle, the proportion of which indicated that it was a masculine bear. "Random bear cave, huh?" Artorius laughed as he drew his sword from behind him. |

One minute she was preparing to preemptively strike, the next she was face first on the ground with a half naked guy on top of her. She heard the whoosh as the claw passed over where they had been a second before. She grumbled something about fate being a fickle bitch as Artorius helped her to stand quickly. "Oh in the name of all the gods. Seriously?" Random bear cave indeed. It was her own comment that floated back to her from earlier. She watched as Artorius moved forward, his sword drawn. She couldn't attack from up close, not in her current form anyway and even in the other it would be foolhardy for her to make an attempt. Ah well, she thought. Might as well do what she did best. She took a few strides back, pulling up her bow and knocking an arrow. She wasn't sure to start with where she would best be able to aim and make a dent. The fur and hide on these types were thick. He was aggressive besides which wasn't a good sign. So she took the easiest shot possible, hoping it wouldn't impede her companion like last time. Carefully she aimed and drew the string fully. On an outward breath she released, the arrow flying true. Though she hit its eye, she couldn't understand at first why the Damn thing didn't simply go blind. It hadn't gone all the way through. The monster had been moving its head and she had managed to hit the eye, but the bone from its eye socket had impeded it going further than the single eye. She cursed lightly under her breath as the the thing raised up on two legs, now more than aggressive. It was furious and it was her fault. "Well fuck." That seemed to be her catch phrase today she thought crossly. Not one to leave a friend in a lurch (half naked helpful stranger, friend, same Damn thing), she immediately knocked another arrow and moved to the other side of the bear. The one good eye spotted her progress before she actually made it all the way there. While the thing had contented itself to go after Artorius, it now saw her and decided it wanted a two for one special. "Get back!" She shouted quickly, her eyes on her target. If she missed he would at least be out of harm's way. She sent another arrow out in a split second, aimed at the standing bear's heart. It penetrated, but not far enough. She had managed only to anger it further. More than a little irritated herself, she dropped the bow and arrows, her eyes turning a dangerous shade of yellow. She growled, just as loud as the bear which had now dropped back to all fours and was eyeing her as though bent on charging. It took only a second and she sprouted a tail, and two adorably fluffy wolfish ears on her head. The most important thing though was the claws that suddenly appeared on fingertips. Just as deadly as the claws the bear had aimed at them earlier. She moved forward slowly, not paying much attention now to her companion. She needed to make use of this strength while it lasted. She jumped, hands going instinctively for its throat. She managed to grab it around its neck, and reorient herself so that it looked somewhat like she was riding it instead of attacking it. (It was still hella big after all.) "If I can't get it to rear again, go for the throat from your side!" She yelled down at Artorius. It was a rather large neck. Slashing from two sides would be helpful. She pulled, making it move again. This time it was close to standing, but not quite. It was only about half its height up. "Now!" As she shouted she put all her force into cutting it from left to right, hoping Artorius would be able to get the other side since she she couldn't reach both on her own. She felt hot blood running out over her hands, but she was nearly certain it wasn't quite enough to kill it... Edited by Inara Serra, Oct 3 2014, 11:03 PM.

A creature of this size wouldn't go down easily, at least not unless they struck it at a critical area. Its fur was ridiculously thick and its body was lined with fat and thick, sinewy muscles. Its bones were incredibly dense as well, especially its skull. Shooting or stabbing it in the head wouldn't work because of that, at least not in such a forward and direct approach. Though, it wasn't as if either of them wanted to take this thing head-on. Artorius was sure that neither of them had a death wish. Still, Artorius had to buy time for Snow to land some good shots in with her bow and arrows. This meant that Artorius had to get up close and personal and be as big of a threat as he could possibly be. For a moment, Artorius felt a pang of familiarity with this situation. Artorius recalled fighting a mutant bear in the East Forest not even a month or two ago. When you live a lifestyle like the one he lived then very little remains surprising. Yet, this was still quite the situation to be in, and Artorius kept his wits about him, watching every movement that the bear made as it snarled and hungrily drooled while it moved toward him. Waving and flailing his sword about to keep distance, Artorius did his best to keep the bear away from him while also keeping it still so Snow could land a good shot. Her first shot struck its eye, however it failed to pierce. Its brow and bone around its socket prevented it from fully penetrating. As a result, the bear whirled and snapped its attention towards Snow. Rising up to its full height, the only thing larger than the bear here was its shadow which painted at least half of the chamber jet black. A second arrow was knocked and fired, sailing through the air and striking the bear in its chest. Yet, the arrow failed to penetrate once more, and the two were locked in a pair of deathly glares. The bear's ferocity was expected, but Snow's was not. Suddenly, the woman grew animalistic features. Her eyes burned like the color of sulfur, and a tail sprouted from her rear, with ears adorning her head. Claws formed on the tips of her fingers. A perfect weapon to match the bear's. Leaping upon its back and shoulders, she began to tear at its neck, drawing blood, but attacking from one side would result in wounds that were too shallow. Artorius reacted quickly, not wasting anymore time. As Snow pulled on its neck, forcing the savage grizzly to rear back, Artorius made his move. Beginning in a sudden sprint, he leaped upward. Using the arrow she shoved into its chest, Artorius utilized it like a stepping stone. Rotating his body as he made his vertical advance, Artorius whirled his blade in a circular motion and tore through its throat with the edge of his sword. Artorius found himself showered in blood as the creature roared and thrashed, but Artorius silenced it with a sense of finality as landed on the arrow in its chest, this time slamming it further through flesh, piercing through its heart. With one final spasm and a violent spurt of blood, the creature fell on its side. Coated in a mire of blood, Artorius wiped his face. "We better find that water source soon," he spoke with a groan as he sheathed his sword. |

He was quick with the blade. That was good. She didn't catch as much of the blood as poor Artorius, but she did catch a fair bit. She jumped down off of its back as it gave the final spurt of blood and fell forward. She was sticky with warm blood as well, and she shook out of habit, like a wet dog would. She didn't splatter Artorius, but it was only by chance she didn't. She began, tentatively to lick at the blood from the beast which was on her arm before she remembered she wasn't alone and licked her lips. "Ah...yeah water...would be the proper way to clean up." She gave a cough and moved to gather up her things. She eyed the large bear as she did so, the Hunter in her wanting to tear it apart and keep her prize. The rational side said clearly that she couldn't carry the whole Damn bear, or even much of it. And that was what she wanted. It was nice how he didn't mention that she had suddenly sprouted animal parts right off the bat. She supposed he was a bit distracted. She blinked a few times as she bent in the shadows to gather her things, breathing rhythmically as she did so. Soon beer eyes were back to normal, and she looked like she had when they entered the cave..except bloodier. "You did well. You move petty fast, and accurately besides. I don't think I could've done that half as well." She gave him a smile, unaware of the blood still smeared across her mouth probably making her look a little bit..ghastly. "Maybe fate is being less of a bitch today than I thought." She moved on through this portion of the cave, and found they were on yet another down hill slope. The water could be near or far, but a good part of her was hoping for near. Blood tended to itch when it began drying. The same small stars like lights which had lit their journey thus far persisted, and even seemed to be getting more frequent as they moved on. The hall they went down now was slightly smaller than the one before, despite the opening having been large. It narrowed further as they continued ever downward and Snow found herself straining not to scratch at the drying blood on her neck and arms. It was as they reached the bottom of the incline that she heard the first sounds of water that didn't sound like an echo. The glittering of the cavern multiplied by a million as they moved forward. Small round pebbles shifted under Snow's feet as she entered the next cavern. It seemed they had found the water at least, for both floor and ceiling shone like diamonds. The pool was moving in a lovely pattern, fed from several small springs around the cavern. Now the only problem she could see, was that it took up nearly the whole of the cavern, with only a narrow margin of pebble earth around the circumference. "I suppose we should clean up. Maybe rest for a few moments. With any luck, he won't be too terribly far away. Plus we're covered in blood. Most predators will be on our scent by now if they're even marginally close." She thought ardently that this boar had better taste better than anything anyone had ever tasted in all of history. If he didn't, she was gonna put an arrow in some gossips. |

Being showered in blood was hardly on Artorius' list of things he actually enjoyed. However, it was definitely something that he had to accept. Simply put, it was an obvious downside when you're going about hunting gigantic beasts that you had to deal with. Although, it's not like he wasn't used to it by now, a fact characterized by how unflinching or undisturbed he was. Yet, like previously mentioned, he hardly enjoyed it. At the very least, he was mostly covered from the waist up, and given that he had already lost his jacket, he need not worry about staining his clothes. So, there's that for a silver lining. The main reason Artorius hadn't mentioned her animal parts was simply because it wasn't anything too unusual. It's hard to be surprised when you live in a world of magic and monsters, especially not in this line of work. Though, he was largely distracted by the bear in front of him to pay much attention as well. But, given how she seemed almost pleased that he hadn't mentioned anything Artorius chose not to mention anything, at least for the moment. Artorius typically wasn't the sort to pry especially since vocalizing his curiosity meant inviting questions towards himself. For instance, he didn't want to invite questions about his own magic which he had yet to use. The only good trump card is a hidden one after all. "Yeah right," Artorius chided her lightly while shaking his head. "I saw you tearing the hell out of that thing's neck. Don't underestimate yourself." Moving onward through and over a downward slope and eventually towards an incline, they finaly reached a pool of water. A natural spring. Just what the doctor ordered. Below and above the pool were flecks of crystallized minerals, smoothly cut and flattened against the granite surfaces, causing the pool to glow. A wondrous sight, that's for sure, and Artorius took it all in for a moment before testing the waters and stepping in after kicking his boots and pants off. The water was cool, but it wasn't frigid either much to Artorius' pleasure. Though, it's not as if he was taking a bubble bath. Knowing other predators could be on their trail, Artorius washed himself off with purpose and haste. As he cleaned himself, he stopped to stare at the tattoo adorning his right bicep -- a black, thorny heart, the emblem of Grimoire Heart. She could have seen it before, but the fact that she hadn't seen bothered by it meant she either didn't care Artorius was a dark mage, or that she hadn't actually seen it. His allegiance to Grimoire Heart was one of convenience but, in times where he wasn't sure if he could fully trust his company or not, also inconvenient. Finishing up, he hoisted himself off. A shame he had no towel, but he made due and slipped back into his pants and laced his boots back up. Sitting idly on a rock and facing away from the pool to give Snow some privacy, Artorius enjoyed the peace of the slowly moving water alongside a cigarette. "I'm not looking, so I don't want to hear a "Kyaa~ baka hentai don't look!" he spoke, miming a teenage girl or something before taking another drag on his cigarette. |

Snow dropped her gear on the ground, and turned her back when she realized her companion was getting naked. She shook her head and faced a wall. "Lil bit of warning goes a long way." She said with a laugh. Men and getting naked in her presence. It was a curse. Sooorta. She did turn when he was in the water, noting for the first time the mark on his arm. A guild tattoo, but it took her a moment to place it. Even then it warranted a shrug. The best part about being neutral and focused on balance was her knowledge that not all light was good and not all dark was bad. Knowing it wouldn't be nearly as simple for her to get undressed and in the water, she started removing things while she waited for Artorius to vacate the water. She took off her boots and the thigh high stockings that went with them, and then started the process of letting out the stays on her corset. She didn't remove more though, at least not yet. She was still more than a little bashful about naked in front of other people. Or even underwear naked which was the same to her. When he was dressing she quickly removed her things in a single swift motion and waded out into the water. It was like bathing in a living sky, and she allows herself a moment's joy in it. She laughed at his comment and couldn't resist splashing him quickly. "I don't think I've ever said anything even remotely like that." She said with another laugh. Then she too washed quickly, making sure to rinse her hair thoroughly when she went under, since it had the most blood in it. Of course her own guild tattoo, the one for Blue Pegasus, was visible on the back of her neck as she surfaced and rang part of the water out of her long dark hair. She wasn't too worried about that. It wasn't as if it was a rival guild (as far as she knew) and he already knew she had magic. Of course his tattoo meant he had it too. But she wouldn't pry. Ones magic was a lot like ones underwear in her opinion. You didn't just ask people to show it to you unless you were like... well she didn't know but super close came to mind. She had used hers because she had to. She wouldn't just do so for the fun of if though. "I'm coming out. Don't look kyah baka whatever else you said." She imitated with another laugh. She climbed out and slid the important part of her clothing back on in one fluid motion before reaching behind her to tighten her stays again. It didn't take long. She put her stockings and boots back on last, and then wrung her hair out again, making sure that when she tied it back up it was well out of her face. She sat down on a stone closer to where Artorius rested. "All right so, I guess we can go around? We did take the trouble of staying dry after all. And I can see bits of pebbles all around." The smell of his cigarette was odd to her. She had never met anyone that smoked before, but it wasn't unpleasant. Like herbs, sort of. She pulled the canteen around and took a few sips. Killing giant bears was hard work apparently. She pulled out a few more of the dried jerky strips and munched, holding out a share for Artorius. "I'm not sure what else we will find down here, but still hopefully the pig at least. If not, we can always come back and skin the bear." She gave a grin, and then her face turned curious. "Where did you learn to use a blade that way?" It was, perhaps, not the question he had expected, but it was the one she wanted to ask. Edited by Inara Serra, Oct 4 2014, 03:48 AM.
