Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

"Mhm, mhm, mhm." Monkey made sounds of agreement even as Zeph spoke, while the masked man considered what he could figure out from the man. Judging from what he was saying and how he said it, Monkey deduced that either Zeph was one of those people who had read too many comic books, was actually what he said he was because anything goes in Trillium, or was simply insane by forces beyond his own control. It wouldn't have made him the only one, though. Monkey could clearly recall a man who was probably experimented on and given feline features, whom he'd interacted with a few days ago. That was weird too.

But now, since Zeph had so politely said "I", Monkey decided to comply; while the red-haired man stepped forwards, he himself stepped back. He drew his own blade - a show of force to help Zeph's own - but did nothing more than that.

The young man, on his own part, was very much offended by Zeph's display of hostility. "Excuse me?" The man asked, letting go of the older man, who dropped to the floor like a crumpled ball of paper. "What did you call me?" He eyed Zeph, eyed his sword especially; one could tell he was trying to make a decision here. "What, you think cause you got a sword, you're gonna run around here playing knights?" As he shouted, the young man reached into his pockets, his hands emerging with a pair of brass knuckles upon them. "Come here then, tough guy. Let's see if- ugh!"

In an instant, the situation was reversed; the older man had pulled out a dagger, and stabbed it straight into the younger man's gut. "And that's why you never talk back to your elders, boy." The older man quietly whispered, his voice as passionless as it was derisive. He watched as the younger man froze, pulled out the dagger and with kick sent the boy in the tank top against the opposite wall. Now he was the one standing, and the other fellow on the ground. "Wait until your mother finds out what you've been doing, hm?"

Monkey, in the back, continued to watch - well, wasn't this a turn of events?

Zeph watched and listened without a sound. It seemed the man had been hard of hearing as he turned his attention onto the red-haired man, question what he had called him. Proceeding from there to make remarks about him having a sword and so on. He wondered if the man was trying to be intimidating. He had learned about it from a man named Darkstar, whom was kind enough to explain a little bit about it after Zeph had asked what the crossing of ones arms symbolized. However, the brute's constant talking was cut short by the end of a dagger finding its way into his flesh.

Orange eyes turning to focus onto the older man, he saw him burying the blade into the brute's gut. It was quite interesting and even caused Zeph to raise an eyebrow at the situation. This was a perfect example as to why one should always assume hostile intent. Even with Monkey, Zeph was waiting to see if he would attack, and was ready for the moment if it came, but it was obvious that the large man was not ready for this as he fell to the ground the the older man kicked him off to the side.

As of that moment, there now was only one obstacle to their walk, the older man with the dagger now stood in their way. "If you would move aside for us to pass, there will be no reason for hostile action," Zeph stated simply as his face returned to its neutral, natural, calm. As a gesture, Zeph re-sheathed his blade, however, he did not lock it into place, nor did he remove his hand from its hilt. Zeph was many things, but naive in the ways of dirty fighting was not one of them. He would like to avoid unneeded violence, but if the man insisted in remaining in their way, than Zeph would injure, or kill him.

"Not a problem," the old man chuckled, his cracked yellow teeth showing in his wide grin as he crossed over to the other side of the alleyway, giving enough room for Zeph to pass by - Monkey as well, long as they passed one at a time. The alley wasn't wide enough for more than two to go shoulder-to-shoulder at a time, after all.

Monkey himself sheathed his sword as well, seeing as the dispute was all but over. The older man's attention was not on Zeph or on Monkey, but on the younger man, whose knuckles were on the ground as he clutched his bleeding stomach. "All I took from 'er was a thousand jewels and a diamond ring, why you gotta be so mad?" He was asking the younger man, almost whispering into his ear. "Just one tiny little diamond ring, and you come up and try to kill me - look at you now. Whatcha gonna do, hm?"

The complete shift in circumstance made Monkey raise an eyebrow - thank god he had a mask on - but that was about it. Personally, from what he was hearing alone, Monkey was slightly disgusted, but although neither one of them had a Raven Tail guild tattoo on their bodies, he knew better than to butt in. Even now, the full situation probably wasn't revealed yet, and as a new member of Raven Tail Monkey did not want to be known as that one new guy who brought trouble onto us. Regardless, the path was now open to continue, and Zeph was in front.

Zeph simply nodded in response to the man's compliance with his request. Twisting the hilt, the sword locked into place and he removed his hand before he began to walk forward. The click of his boots resounded off the close walls of the alley way, and seemed to fill his mind. This kept him from hearing what the older man said to the wounded man, though he wouldn't have cared even if he had heard him. Neither of them were in his way, and were no longer objects of hostile intent, so they no longer deserved his attention.

He proceeded past the two and continued for quite a ways before stopping and stepping off to one side again, looking back to Monkey. There was no reason for him to lead the two of them, especailly since he; One, had no idea where they were going, and Two, assumed that the man had more questions to ask of him. A conversation would be difficult if one of the people involved was facing away from the other person. To him, at least, that seemed to be counter-productive.

"Were there more inquires that you had?" He asked plainly. It was interesting to him, being asked questions. He was so unsure of the purpose. The information did not seem important, but maybe to Monkey, it was. It made him wonder what else he could possibly ask him, it seemed like he already asked everything that could have been remotely important, maybe he just like to know things regardless of how useful the information was. Glancing up, he checked to make sure the sun remained behind clouds, he did not want to put up his parasol again at the moment.

Given the space, of course Monkey took it up, regaining his position as the one leading the way. There were still some distance to go, so there was still some time for questions. He would make good use of that. "Well, then. You sound like you have the makings of a- maybe not a con artist. What's that word? A bouncer? No, no that. A card sharp? No, no no no no, that's definitely the wrong one. A- A hitman, there we go! You said you've killed before, right?"

Well then, "Wait, did you say you killed on orders to kill, or just because you felt like it?" Ah yes, the difference between a batshit-crazy murderer and an actual hitman was big one indeed. "You're not one of those weird types that just go around and wake up and see blood on your hands and you don't remember how or why, are you?" Monkey had met a few folks of those kind before - they had a tendency to go out as terribly and violently as they entered.

Turning to the left, the two of them would step out of the darkness, and back into the main streets - flashing lights on every sign and large windows as the walls of every building reflected all the light possible, making the place a hard sight on the eyes even in the daytime, if one bothered to look at them enough. "Though, if someone did reward you for killing someone, could you? Would you?"

A hitman. Though Zeph was not sure what the phrase actually meant, he kind of liked the sound of that. He assumed, from Monkey's line of questioning, it involved taking the lives of others. This was something that he was fine with, after all, he was created to kill, but the killing had to be for a purpose. Senseless violence left a bad taste in his mouth and he would not endorse such acts, however, it seemed that it was being implied that there would be a purpose.

"I have killed, never was it senseless violence. For me to take a life, or hurt another, there must be a purpose for it. As long as I believe in the purpose, than I have no problem with killing," He stated simply. Since coming to Earthland, he had not had to kill anyone, excluding the events that occurred in Magnolia. No human had died at his hands, yet, and this was surprising to him. "Also, I have never killed without being concious of it."

Reward... The only reward that Zeph had ever received for killing was being able to leave on for a few more moments. He had never killed to gain anything other than the right to take another breath, or in an attempt to create a peace, if only temporary. "I do not need a reward for taking life as long as there is a purpose behind the killing. With that said, a reward could be nice to get for once," He said slowly as he squint against the sudden glaring lights. Popping open his parasol, he brought it low over his head, hiding his eyes from the pain of all the light. It was as bad as being in the sun.

Monkey continued to nod, as he listened on. "Well, you're not a crazy type of murderer, that's good. Would you consider becoming a hitman, though?" He asked, as he opened the door to one of those large buildings, beckoning Zeph to enter with him. "It's a simple matter, really. Someone wants another person taken cared of, they come to you, you take care of them, you get paid, done. The cash is good money, and on top of it, there's always a good reason for it, otherwise they wouldn't ask for you to do such a thing in the first place- how about it? Sound good?"

Indoors, the pair of them were now in the middle of a massive shopping center - the whole place was built with the theme of an ancient civilization, and so the walls were high, the pillars were tall and white, and statues of half-dressed men and women carved from white stone decorated the landscape, between the many shops and restaurants. This was one of the safer parts of the city, as the presence of numerous security guards in their navy blue uniforms could testify.

Of course, they were here for a purpose as well. "Hungry? Want something new? I got a bit of money in my hands right now, could treat you to something nice," Monkey offered. The ceilings here were high, and the lights were bright, but they were artificial - looking up, one saw a sky that was clearly fake, because it was still blue with white clouds, not that smoggy mess that made up the actual skies of Trillium.

Simple, clean, straight forward, Zeph was not seeing any reason why he would not be a hitman. He would be able to learn more about humans, while utilizing his natural born skill and impluse to take life. As he followed Monkey into the building, he could not help, but wonder why this man was so interested in if he wanted to be a hitman. This thought caused his eyes to narrow ever so slightly in suspicion. Was this man trying to recruit him for something? Or was he merely trying to give him an idea of something he would excell at.

"It appears to be a fair simple profession, aside from the killing that is. I would have no problem fullfilling the role of a hitman, though I have no interest in money. It woul stilld be a good chance to help hone this human form as well," He spoke from under the parasol. The fact that they were inside did not help to quell his unease with the amount of light around them. The fact sky above, actually, only made it worse as it felt, to him, that the sun was shining down upon them once more.

The building was packed with humans, moving in every which direction in some kind of mad rush, or so it seemd to him. They always seemed to move with a sense of urgency, and maybe it was because of their short life-spans. Zeph would never be able to feel that sense of urgency, the need to get somewhere immediatly in order to do something completely different. He was torn from these thoughts when Monkey inqured about if he currently needed nourishment, or his need for something. "I do not currently require nutrients, and I have no need for anything else."

"Excellent," Monkey responded, his reply so fast that it almost blurred with the end of Zeph's words. "Tell you what then, let's get you to the Condor, then, and we'll see what we can do." With that, the masked man's footsteps suddenly quickened at a noticeable rate, from a slow trot to a mad dash, as Monkey weaved through the crowds in the shopping place, beckoning for the red-haired man to follow suit. "C'mon then, hurry up, don't wanna fall behind and get lost here, do we?"

A left turn here, down this path, another left turn, up the escalator and down the elevator, Monkey guided Zeph through a confusing array of twists and turns that made up the building, until finally they were standing in front of a Chinese food restaurant, with some ridiculously flashy name like "The Spicy Dragon". Entering the store, Monkey's hand continued to beckon Zeph to follow him, as they walked through the store, past the customers, and back into the restaurant's restroom, where the masked man took the chance to open the janitor's closet and push Zeph in, before leaping in himself, closing the door behind him. "Careful, the slide's a bit steep, watch your butt."

Falling through the hidden slide, the two of them would land on a massive cushion, before bouncing off of it to find themselves in a dark room, the only other thing being a bar with a tall and lanky bartender - bald, though the lighting didn't make it obvious - cleaning several glasses.

"Monkey, is that you? And who is that?"

The sudden change in, well, everything surprised Zeph . One moment they were having a leisurely stroll and a conversation, the next moment Monkey was vigoruously moving through the hectic sea of people, beckoning and encouraging Zeph to follow him. Unfortuantely, curiousity as to what had Monkey so excited compelled him to follow him. Even with the opened parasol, he was able to navigate through the moving crowd, in fact, it probably helped. Here and there, he would catch someone giving him a sideways look, and then steering to avoid crossing his path. It did not occur to him that to others, he looked like he was insane.

Already having no idea where he was, the sudden twist and turns made things that much worse for him. If Monkey were to suddeny abandon him, Zeph had no delusion about the fact that he would be stuck wandering about the building with no idea on how to get out. It probably didn't help that he could not read the humans written language, and it was especially disadvantageous when they came upon a section of the mall with a huge sign on it. Though he had no idea what it was, it was apparently where they were suppose to be heading as Monkey continued to walk on through its door without missing a beat.

Following closely, he was caught off-guard when the man suddenly turned on him and pushed him into a broom-closet. Zeph did not have time to protest as Monkey said something about the slide being steep. Before he knew it, he was falling. His eyes turned onto Monkey for a moment as he thought that it would not be difficult to take off his head before they plummeted to their death. However, this thought was caught off when they hit the cushions at the bottom of the slide and bounced to their feet. In front of him was a man, standing behind a bar cleaning glasses.

Zeph was beyond curiousity at this point.
