Gabriel showed his humble.. home? Yeah, it's a home alright.. kinda. There's a tent that's basically held up by a string that's attached from one tree to another and some 'rags' under the tent that made for a bed. The rags were very comfortable, and looked relatively new. The question, though, is how a man with no money managed to acquire these fine bed-sheets in the first place. Gabriel will probably lie if someone asks him, but he stole them from those random sheets that people hang outside their windows. It's so convenient to just grab one of them and continue walking like you owned it. What's rude is when people see him grabbing it and have to point it out to everyone around him. Gabriel is forced to run away at those instances. Anyways, what helps Gabriel and his tent is that fact that it's located in the forest.. Lavender Forest to be exact, so the place doesn't lack beauty. There is a nice river flowing next to Gabriel's tent that gives him water whenever it's needed, after he boils it just in case obviously, and even the occasional fish that happens to get caught in a bag he leaves floating around in the river. In front of Gabriel's tent is a fireplace, where there's a pile of canned foot and a pot that he uses to cook his meals. Gabriel looked at his home and crossed his arms with a smile. His home is obviously superior to a normal man's home in the woods. That's when Gabriel noticed that Gryffin took off his clothes and asked for a pillow. Gabriel looked at him with a confused expression with one eyebrow moving higher then the other. "We're not going to sleep yet, there's still sun! We have an entire day ahead of us." Like that Gabriel waited for Gryffin to get ready. He readied his katana for what about going to happen next, although he probably won't be able to do much with his current weapon anyways. It's likely that there were MANY kitchen knives in the world that were sharper then his katana. In fact there are some forms of blunt weapons that can do more cutting then his katana, but that was fine. "We also have to find several sheets and some string so we can make you a tent. We need to head to the bar, help a random bystander, get your blankets, some food, and even drinks such as juice." Gabriel made a mental note of these. Gabriel will then follow the kid into the bar, where Gabriel will make sure that Gryffin gets some supervised drinking! Just like responsible adults would do with children they don't want corrupted. |

Gryffin was disappointed. It couldn’t be hidden from his way. He was down right disappointed that he could not stop himself from frowning and making an inaudible “boo” with pursed lips and waving of his hands. But he did end up accepting it and following Gabriel back into town. It would make sense that they eat first, since he might end up sleeping the next day and sleeping with an empty stomach is never right. “Okay....” he said in defeat as they went back to town. Still, he was just wearing his black undershirt and pants and boots as he lazily walked down the street. The entered a normal tavern, made of old wood and smelled of beer. Mixed in the aroma is the scent of a hearty meal and that was all that mattered. As they entered the place, Gryffin quickly went for an empty table, moving past the crowded place. He wasn’t interested at how burly people were already drunk at such an early hour of the day, nor the noisy bets and shuffling of cards, nor the altercation of words between two slur-tongued old men, nor the big breasted waitresses giving large liters of booze. No, he only interested in the only empty table at the far corner and as soon as he neared it, he was abruptly pushed aside as another of the burly men got hold of the chair and took over the last of the only tables available. Gryffin tumbled on the floor for a bit before he managed to get back up. Now he was annoyed. Not only did he just want to rest but after being lured to this place of booze and good food, he was being cheated from getting such good service. And with gritted teeth he ran towards the man who offended him and jumped, hoping to tackle the man to the ground and choke him. That was the plan but Taiga beat him to it when the fire tiger managed to bite the man’s butt. |

Gabriel and Gryff then marched on to the city. Gabriel was still in awe at the forest around him on the way out. In his home world they did not have forests like this, the purple variety with a nice fragrance in the air, they were all normal looking if not depressing compared to this world. Gabriel walked forward, with katana on his side, and into a bar of sorts with lots of varieties of angry men and drunk women (surrounded by not-so angry and angry men alike). Gabriel took a sniff from the air, it almost smelled like home. He walked forward to the nearest table. The hard wooden floors made small inaudible creaks as he walked through them. The tables looked old, but manageable. The wood had splinters on some ends, and a lot of them wobbled with the men that sat on the chairs. Drinks spilled constantly because of the wobbly table, which made fights very easy around here.. or so Gabriel theorized, it didn't help that the majority of individuals in this bar were more then likely intoxicated beyond belief thanks to the alcoholic beverages they all seemed to have either near or in their hands. Gabriel couldn't complain, since in his home world drinking 'alcohol' was the same as drinking water in that everyone drank it daily. And so Gryff walked up to an empty chair and was pushed by one of the men that decided to sit there. Gryff's dog suddenly bit the man in the leg, and all hell broke lose. Gabriel, being one of the few sober people in the bar, took the initiative after the man stood up and swung at the boy. Gabriel abused the drunk's sluggish movements and slammed his forearm on the opponent's humeral shaft. Gabriel then shifted his footing, still holding on to the arm, and slammed him to the ground. It didn't take long before four other men stood up. Gabriel sighed and punched the man on the floor in the face, knocking him out. He positioned himself for a defense.. before a fifth man grabbed Gabriel from behind and threw him out of the window and into a shipment of supplies, mostly posters, that were being sent to some Franceska enthusiasts. Before a certain reader thinks "Why would there be a Franceska store so near a bar?!" well the answer is simple, if you want to convince people to vote for a loli the best way to convince them is when they have zero common sense. And so the people gave out fliers there and were going to ship them to another point with even more 'capable Franceska voters'. And so there was Gabriel, brushing off some debris from his clothes and walking back in the bar, but not before stepping all over the fliers on the way back to the bar. |

There was a sudden brawl in the bar. Gryffin was surprised when Gabriel took the lead to beat the men before he had been engulfed into another fight. The last thing he wanted was to get caught up just when he was ready to slump into a comfy position on a bed and sleep. Though hunger was his first enemy, he wasn’t one to back away from human oppositions as well. Still, he kept a good eye as the rest that were wary of them held dagger eyes at him. Even if Gabriel dispatched the group who offended him, Gryffin had a feeling he wasn’t welcomed in there. So he returned their glares and clenched his fist, ready to attack the incoming assailants should there be a need. And Taiga was quite prepared to attack as well for his earlier bite was just the appetizer of what could be a momentous meal. Though perhaps it should be noted that he avoided eating human meat and prefer the tender and sumptuous steaks from known taverns, especially when they serve exquisite sauce together with a bit of good old mashed potatoes on the side. For which it could also be debated that perhaps Taiga was in fact less of an animal that way and more of a brother to Gryffin when they shared such close similarities in terms of food preferences. But now that there was no one else who blocked his path, Gryffin settled into that small table and sat on the chair. He motioned for Taiga to take the next seat and when he looked to the side and saw Gabriel appear from having beaten the others, he waved him to where they could find brief solace in hopes of ordering good food. Of course, the waitress was a bit adamant to approach them, but Gryffin looked desperately hungry that she gave in and went to assist the boy. “The biggest steak please. Two.” Gryffin managed to murmur as he leaned on the table, fighting both hunger and the urge to just sleep away. |
