Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Raven Tail member, day one.

Oami looked in the mirror of the hotel room he was staying at, checking himself to make sure that he looked clean and respectable - or at least, not a complete mess. His clothing was in place, his blade sheathed by his side, his hair tied up once more into that long ponytail. All that was left, would be the mask. "Ka, it's time for us to go. Come on out."

On command, the red and white mask floated onto his face, covering over it tightly. "Are you certain about this?" The mask asked him, its telepathic message resounding with some fair degree of worry. "We've been scum, we've been circus freak, we've been vagrants - but this is straight up criminal territory."

The now-masked man in black bit his lip, opening the door of his room. "We made that decision yesterday, when we entered that casino. Right now, a few days of paperwork processing is all that stands between us and a life without worrying about money all day." He exited the room, soon exited the hotel, and out onto the streets of Trillium he went.

Yesterday, they had sent him his first assignment by phone - there was a very naive man trying to open up his own businesses in Raven territory, and they wanted him to pay up, or be convinced to stop. Convinced. Oami grimaced at the thought. The man was supposedly living up in the building he'd purchased right now, a decent sized thing, at least five stories tall. When he arrived, the masked man could tell which one it was immediately - the only one that looked absolutely clean and empty."Well, guess we're here," he said, to no one in particular, as the masked man leaned against the wall next to the door inconspicuously, opening a small magazine that he was pretending to read.

Apparently they'd sent someone else with him too. He wasn't sure who, but considering that Oami had used "Monkey" as his name the entire time he was in the guild - in fact, even his paperwork listed his name as "Monkey"; this wasn't intentional deception, rather, he'd gotten to used to being called that for anything else - he was fairly certain that someone would ask around for an ape sooner or later.

Doubt was a powerful emotion that could cripple even the greatest of cause and make even the strongest of warrior pause. Doubt had found its grip on the brilliant Tokio Rellis. He had been in Raven Tail for a few months since they 'adopted' the gang he worked for, since then he had really been left to do as he pleased. He was allowed his own private room that he would work in, but it was becoming cramped as work station and living quarters combined go. He had found not a single interesting Raven Tail member despite trying to mingle in the casino with the staff. He had heard that they had lost much during the calamity of the queen dragon, but he didn't think with a guild of this much reputation and power that inside it would be so vacant. Even in a crowd of Casino dwellers and smooth talkers Tokio felt alone in Raven Tail. It was home for now, but as someone who always pushed for new things, it wouldn't be long till he too looked for a new workshop if things kept its course.

As the new morning came as Tokio rolled out of bed wearing nothing but a long T-shirt with a pink smiley face that said ' Eat Food' simply on it, surely a reminder to the compulsive man who often threw himself into his inventions and researcher more then eating or even once breathing. Things were different then most morning Tokio fell from his cluttered messy bed. There was a card slipped under his door. " ug, they gonna tell me they aint gonna clean my room again because there are too many explosives laying around arnt they " Tokio would mutter as he opened the card and scanned it contents. It was a simple assignment that someone had pushed on their turf here in Trillium and wouldn't pay up for protection. Tokio along with another Raven called Monkey to venture to this man's business and either convince him to buy protection or go out of business. The latter being Tokio expertise with his previous jobs and work. With a heavy sigh Tokio would begin to make himself presentable and head out for the job.

A hour later Tokio was calmly walking by the building in a full suit carrying nothing but a briefcase. He wouldn't really stop per say as he eyed the building from under the rim of his fedora before rounding the coming around the city block once more coming up along side the building from behind the main entrance and approaching Oami. " Know any good magazines about apes? Monkey's to be specific " Tokio would ask in a rather coy tone as he eyed the masked man up and down.

Monkey looked up from his magazine, himself eyeing the man up and down. Well-dressed, professional-looking thanks to the briefcase, the fedora gave him a coy appearance - so this was what a Raven Tail operative looked like? Suave. He, personally, thought it looked excellent.

He closed his magazine, tucked it back into his pocket. "One right here, if you're interested," Monkey replied, extending a gloved hand for the other man to shake. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mister...?" He didn't know the man's name, but it wasn't something he would dawdle on; there was a goal to be met, a job to be done, after all.

Now, Monkey was one who, true to his name, loved to chatter - so what he could get away with asking, he asked. "I'm sorry, but I'm fairly new to this guild and its affairs," admitted he, as he opened the door with his other hand and held it open with his foot. "Could you inform me on the specifics of our work here today?" The street they were on was fairly empty, with no pedestrians within normal hearing range. "Please, sir, enter first - the first floor is always set to receive guests, but judging from what bits I saw through the window just now, this first floor is empty."

The man was probably up in the top floor, and here they were at the bottom. "I presume that you have had plenty of experience with this sort of...job, that we've been assigned, or are you simply here to make sure I don't mess up too badly?" He talked on, as the masked man made a quick maneuver to hold the door and keep it open; there was one of those small rubber door-stoppers inside - wow, these folks really hadn't made any renovations yet - which he kicked closer, and used to hold the door in place.

Tokio smiled lightly as he was assured he had found his partner. He extending his hand offering his shake for a formal introduction which Tokio was more then willing to abide. " Tokio Rellis. Operator " Tokio would add on giving 'Monkey' some comfort knowing he wasn't the only one with a strange monicker as he shook the masked mans hand. " I don't mean offense, but please tell me Monkey isn't your real name? " Tokio would ask openly as he directed his gaze toward the building.

He would return his gaze to monkey as he spoke on and opened the door admitting all in the same breath that he was very new to the guild and its affairs. He then moved on to asking what exactly was expected from them on this job and what they needed to do. I simple enough question, that Tokio was more then okay with answering. " Thats a understandable question, with the circumstances. " Tokio would say entering the building and standing near the door scanning the inside, that was empty as Monkey had said.

" Its pretty straight forward. Raven Tail tolerates zero competition in their territory. This guy set up shop and plans to contend Raven Tail's assets, most likely the casino, we are to convince him either to answer to Raven Tail with 'protection' money or put him out of business. " Tokio would explain in a rather bored tone and he looked around the barren first floor it was a rather pitiful sight that made it obvious this business hadn't really gotten started yet, and Raven Tail wanted to nip this before it became a real problem.

Monkey would enter behind Tokio and ask if he was here to make sure he didn't mess up of if he was here because he had experience. " Not sure if they want me to clean up behind ya, but I do have experience in these sorts of operations. I was once apart of a gang that was expanding its territory aggressively. Raven Tail took it over just like we will attempt to with this place. " Tokio explained as he started to walk around the first floor looking for any signs or life or how to advance further, perhaps his partner would have something to bring to the table?

Monkey listened intently, nodding with every phrase while Tokio explained the details of why and what they were about to do. "Oh no, Monkey's not my real name, no, who names their child monkey?" He had replied in response to Tokio's first question, shaking his head fervently. "It's the only name I use nowadays, though." That was truth. "For the matter of fair trade, you wouldn't mind if I call you Operator, would you?"

Getting up to the next floor was a simple matter of finding the stairs or the elevator, perhaps both. With the emptiness of the floor, this wasn't a difficult task at all - Monkey saw it right at the other end of the place, several rooms across and barely visible through the doorways. He pointed it out to his partner, swirling his finger to show that it was in the back past those rooms. "So, if this guy's planning to go against a guild like Raven Tail, do you think he'll have any uh, defenses, prepared? I mean, it looks like the guild only sent, well, us two."

It sounded more like negotiation than actual mob stuff - the dark side, that is. Monkey hoped so. Talk, he could do; fighting was something else entirely. Looking around, he saw no sign of any surveillance equipment or other suspicious items as he took the stairs to the second floor; for some reason, he didn't feel like taking the elevator.

The second floor was much better furnished; looked like they were already in the way of building the casino. Game tables and chairs littered the floor, and he could already see a half-stocked bar on the side. "Now I can see what he was trying to do," Monkey uttered, with an approving grunt. "This guy sure has a thing for the color gold, look at the carpeting and the wallpaper."

Strangely enough, this floor was devoid of life as well- or at least, it was at first glance.

Tokio smiled lightly as Monkey told him that no Monkey wasn't his own real name and he couldn't see any parent naming their child monkey." Indeed, I didn't think it was, but stranger things have happened " Tokio would say in response to Monkey as they would start to explore the first floor. " No idea " Tokio would say being blunt and honest on the subject of if this target had prepared defenses and the like in advance expecting Raven Tail to pay a visit. " Usually they just hired some goons, once in a while we come across some mercenaries, but I haven't encountered anything so far that hasn't been able to be tackled with Reason. " Tokio would say putting emphasis on Reason, making it rather strange and ominous as to exactly what sort of person Tokio Rellis really was? Was he a smooth talker? Was he mad? Did he have some sort of controlling magic that bent people to his will? All the question hung in the air but would go unanswered for now as the smooth dressed would notice Monkey's motion to the entrance to the next floor.

As they entered the second floor, it was quite obvious as to why Raven Tail took such a quick interest in this guys arrival into town and what he had planned as gambling and casino's was the major monopoly Raven Tail had its talons in. Sighing aloud Tokio would feel people's eyes on him already if they pulled this off. " Uggg people " Tokio uttered as he held his head with one hand and sat down at one of the craps tables. He would sit unmoving in silence for a few moments before grabbing some dice and rolling them across the table removing his hand from his head and placed his focus on the table not his surroundings, his hearing however was rather focused on everything going on around them, someone or something was coming.

"Shoot, someone's already coming- they didn't already find us, did they?" The incoming footsteps weren't hard to hear - either someone was wearing thick boots, or they were simply taking heavy steps. Either way, it definitely sounded like there was more than one person. When Monkey heard it, he quickly darted off by instinct, running over to the bar and leaping over it, ducking down to hide behind the counter. For a moment, he was gone, but then the his head began to slowly protrude from the top of the counter. The bar was at the side of the room; anyone walking straight to downstairs wouldn't see it, if they didn't turn.

And not a moment too soon, because just then they appeared into view - a pair of men, both in sunglasses and formal wear, an earpiece to each one's left ear. So of course, they were bodyguards. What was surprising, or relieving, was the dialogue they were having with each other as they made their way through.

"So John, do you think he's saying the truth?"

"No, he's probably just paranoid. I mean, c'mon, if he really was worried Raven Tail's after his ass, he'd hire more than what he's got now, or at least, try to strike a bargain. Raven's got like the whole damn city covered, who cares if he opens this one tiny place down in the middle of- hey."

That was them catching sight of Tokio.

"Hey you, you're not supposed to be here. Place ain't open yet."

Tokio heard Monkey fling himself quickly over the bar surely keeping out of sight for a rather sneak attack sort of plan if things went south, however that wouldn't be needed Tokio was going to make the first move, it was going to be so subtle its be hard to see but in the same breath hard to miss. As the men called out to him he calmly glanced up to them with a disapproving look. " Excuse me for my intrusion. " Tokio would say apologizing as he stood up picking his briefcase up with him as he did. " My name is Tokio Rellis, I'm a security advisor here in Trillium for a good number of local companies, and a few located in even Poinsettia. " he would with a bow of his head. " I was hoping to meet with your employer today to discuss his...to be blunt laughable security system. I havn't seen a single lacrima surveillance node since I entered." Tokio would say eyeing his surroundings for a moment only to let out a sigh.

" Now just so I don't get you gents in any trouble how about " Tokio would say walking towards the two men tucking his hand into his suit for a moment " You give this to your employer, and see if he has time to speak with me for a few moments, perhaps we could set up a proper meeting even, when he has time of course. " Tokio would say as he pulled out a small business card and extend it to be taken by one of the guards. The card itself was obviously expensive has it had all sort of swirling colors and and sparkles emitting from it with a Thick solid black text that must have been his name or the name of the company he worked for. In truth the card simple said ' The Operator' a name that could be mistaken as the name of the company, even more so since Tokio despite going by this name wasn't really quite notorious or renowned in any fashion.

What the two guards wouldn't know, what even monkey wouldn't know was that a mere moment after they would have taken that card and gave it a good read, told Tokio yay or nay, the card itself would explode! The explosions wouldn't be anything serious but enough to catch the two men off guard and with out doubt unaware. This tactic was something Tokio had used about a dozen times or so to blow open doors that needed passwords or to catch a group of people who told him to see his way out off guard after he agreed, this was one of Tokio ultimate shock and awe tactics that left his target confused and open for a good number of attacks. Monkey surely would want to take that moment when it came.

Monkey, watching from where he was behind the counter, found that Tokio really was true to his moniker; the Operator was a smooth man. Not a drop of sweat, no shaking of the hands, he acted as if he was completely prepared for the two of them - he had some talent in acting, and that was something he himself definitely respected in a person. Not knowing what his fellow guild member had up his sleeve, he looked on as Tokio talked, and eventually passed the card on to the two bodyguards- and then the explosion.

Even Monkey didn't see it coming; but since it came, he took action. The explosion left the two men stunned - who wouldn't be? - and, since they were facing Tokio and not the bar, the Monkey vaulted himself over the counter, sprinting towards the men at top speed before leaping into a flying kick, letting out a wild screech that could only be described as fitting for someone who called themselves after an animal.

The kick dropped one of the bodyguards, knocking him down with Monkey landing on top of him. With the element of surprise at his side, the masked man quickly took his sword - sheath and all - and slammed it into the man's head a few times. Not enough for blood, but for knocking him out for now, it sufficed.

Unfortunately, that meant he hadn't yet touched the other bodyguard. That man, staring in a mixture of shock and horror, promptly turned tail and began to run back, presumably to warn the others, while Monkey was still trying to make sure the first fellow was unconscious.

As the card exploded the two guards were completely caught not only by surprise but off guard as they stumbled back dazzled and confused by the blast and how it went off! Monkey quickly seemed to spring to action as he vaulted over the bar he was hiding behind and flying kicked one of the guard and began to smack him with his weapon sheath and all to knock him out. Tokio on the other hand calmly was walking after the flustered and paniced guard that was calling for help. Seeing as the man was literally running away Tokio would pause for a moment and turn to look to Monkey and the other guard who was out cold.

" Moving on Monkey. " Tokio would say as he ducked down and began to move under the cover of the tables. Tokio wasn't a courageous man, heck he couldn't even deal with just talking large groups of people let alone fight them! His style was more stealth or hit and run, or his personal favorite subterfuge. He hadn't wanted to let the guard go, but it would be for the better after that explosion to round up a good portion of the guards right away. The fleeing guard would do that for them as surely he would alert and return with more guards that would normally be stationed throughout the building. With them all rounded up on one floor Tokio would wait for them to arrive and surprise attack them leaving them reeling before they he planned to continue higher into the building.

Tokio would move close to Monkey if he was hiding like Tokio or not. " The probability that the boss is now being put into a stationary secure room higher up is high. There is a chance that they will use numbers to force conflict and move him out of the building...but they will have to come through this room. " Tokio would explain as Tokio recalled the information he had gathered when surveying the building from the outside before he had met up with Monkey. What Tokio wasn't accounting for was the fact that his partner surely would think he was crazy at this point, he attacked without warning, let a guard escape, and now was rambling about probabilities...The Operator was surely a strange bird in this flock.
