The fact that Woody staggered due to the force of her kick was not lost on Cleia. She was even more pleased to notice that talking about turning it into furniture had whipped it up into a frenzy. This was precisely what she wanted. Victory would be sure in an instant, if she managed to use these factors to her advantage. "Okay, Woody, since you don't seem to be that heavy, let's see how this works on you..." Woody was doing a very great job of being irate, screaming and jumping at her to eviscerate her and spill her guts on the street stones... or worse. In response, Cleia whipped up her right hand, holding her wrist with the left to steady her aim, and opened her right hand, so that her palm was pointing directly at Woody's chest. A string of runes whipped out of nothingness, spinning into a solid ball that floated inches away from her palm. In the next micro-second, the ball spiraled in the opposite direction, the runes scattering as they unraveled a pale-blue blast that roared out against Woody, almost at point blank range. "Katsu!!!" She had trained this signature technique, the Jinrai, to the point where it could cause a lot of damage to wood. At this rate, judging Woody's weight and durability, the Jinrai ought to be capable of obliterating the idiot. And even if it didn't, at least, it ought to cause enough damage to immobilize him, or still finish him off... even if it left a corpse. The blast would also fling Woody away, since he didn't seem to be so massively heavy, so she wouldn't have to fear him crashing on her with all those spiky, horrid tools. The reason she aimed at his chest, was because she had noticed, with her second attack, that Woody had risked damage to his limbs, so as to completely protect his torso, as opposed to her first attack, where he just allowed it to cut his face. The strike to the heart had to do it. That's what she hoped. Actions

The lachryma bullet fired from Brian's gun struck Desire in the abdomen, a little to the left of her solar plexor. Desire was lucky. If she wasn't using her magic, her durability would have been greatly reduced, and she would probably have been much worse for wear than she was now. The pink-haired rogue gasped audibly and doubled over, clutching at her stomach as a moan emanated from her lips. Normally, one would expect that such a sound was produced by the sensation of pain felt by the hybrid mage, but from its tone, it would be quite difficult to ascertain whether the sound made was one of pain, or actually pleasure. Desire looked up at Brian, as her hand dropped from her stomach, lips curled into a smile, her pink tongue running across the bottom of her upper teeth. "That was... nice." As she said so, a pulse of green flame burst forth from her head, expanding rapidly and doing havoc to everything it struck. The ring of green flame expanded until it got to a radius of about 15 meters before suddenly winking out as unexpectedly as it had been birthed. And if Brian had been caught in it, which would be most likely unless he had a high speed or teleport ability, excluding the possibility that he was quite durable, or had a shield of sorts, he would find himself hurtling through the air. As the dust from Desire's Malice settled, she drew her whip from its holster and began swinging and flailing the weapon stylishly as she waited for the dust to settle and see where Brian was. For someone who didn't know much about whips, such an action, especially when performed with a whip as dangerous as Desire's, would certainly get them bad wounds. But Desire was an expert when it came to whips, so she flailed and waited. "While I did enjoy that shot back then, I'm not that much a fan of seriously fighting with you, so why won't you just let me get what I want and go my way? It won't harm you in any way, I'm sure, and your guild is so rich and established. I'm sure you won't even miss it." In the meantime, Woody the Johnny saw a strange ball wink into existence, then there was a bright flash of light, and he felt a massive blow to his body. Huge bits of wood exploded in all directions, as Cleia's spell mowed into the plant monster, sending the creature sailing away and crashing a good distance off. The monster laughed heartily, a weird rasping sound coming from its throat. "You are really a foolish girl, you know?" Woody the Johnny said, as sap flowed from his smoking chest region, which had been hollowed out, revealing broken pieces of a strange lachryma. "While you were fighting me, you didn't know that the whole idea of this battle was to make me a martyr. Now people will rise all over the world and justify me and condemn you. They will hate you and seek to destroy you. You will run from your family and friends, cursed to live a life as I did until this fateful day, when you released me into the class of deity. Even as we speak, I am ascending!" His voice began to rise in a crescendo, even as he laughed. "I will rise beyond the stars, and cause everyone on the planet to eat meat! I will-- what the fu--?" His voice stopped suddenly, as if it was a lachryma radio that suddenly stopped because its power source was pulled out. So ended the life and times of Woody the Johnny. ACTIONS

"Damn," Brian thought to himself when he watched Desire look up at him and knew that her smile was telling him that his lacrima bullets had no effect. This was also confirmed when she said that the shot that he made was nice. Instantly, he felt panic wondering if any of the spells that he had in his arsenal would be enough for her. when he saw a green flame erupt from her head, he made a dash backwards from it. First pushing off from one foot and then the other. He thought that he was out of range of the flame but he managed to get touched by it and this sent him flying against the nearby tables that were set up in the courtyard. After overcoming the initial shock of the attack by this pink haired bitch, he got to his feet and came closer to her while she was making her plea with him. She seemed to be pleading with him while she took out her whip from her holster and started to whip it around in a stylish manner. Brian could already count the distance and knew what to do next. He was going to have to use his spell gun. Sure the recharge was going to take a while but he had to. He holstered his Lacrima gun and pulled out the spell gun and after Desire had made her final plea he brought up his left fist and extended his middle finger at her. "Cleia I hope you get your ass here quick, fast and in a hurry." Brian thought. Actions

Cleia skipped quickly to her feet and looked at the downed plant-freak-thing. Her ploy had worked perfectly, and it would seem that he was not recovering from this blow. So, she had been right: Woody's Achilles' heel was his torso. Cautiously, she walked over to it and looked down at it, giving the strange lachryma a curious look and wondering if this was a hint as to how the big tree in Magnolia's square could be destroyed. A look of horror suddenly crossed her face. That thing was still there. She couldn't take it out on her own, obviously, because she and Brian had not succeeded together. And now Brian had gone of to the guild to stop Pinkie's diabolical plan, whatever it was. Getting to the guild was obviously the best thing to do. There was even a little chance that she would be able to find some extra back up with which to take in the tree... She looked back at Woody when it started talking, her face blank. As usual, it, or he was spouting nonsense about becoming a god, and her life being ruined because she had taken him down. As he went on with that, he seemed to suddenly become alarmed, and was cut off instantly. For all intents and purposes, Woody was dead. She poked at him with her foot twice, then bent and retrieved one of the shards of shattered lachryma, and placed it in her pocket. It might come in handy when taking on the monster tree later. One last look at Woody, and then she turned away. "Whew! Good riddance to idiotic nonsense!" Then Cleia took off in a sprint and ran for all she was worth, towards the Fairy Tail guildhall. She hoped Brian had been able to take out Pinkie, or at the very worst, he would still be in good condition by the time she arrived. |

Desire paused her whip-flailing while she stared at Brian as he made his gesture and shook her head. ”Oh my, you really are one very naughty fellow sir,” the girl announced, a mock-reprimanding tone in her voice, and a mildly startled expression on her face. ”With such outrageous acts, what are you trying to teach the younger generation? What am I supposed to think when you make such gestures? You really have a dirty mind….” She could feel her Take Over magic reaching its end, which was not going to be very nice, if she didn’t have Brian at a serious disadvantage by the time her advantages gained from her magic were gone. It seemed that for his part, Brian was waiting for her to attack again; he seemed to be more interested in shooting her at point-blank range, or at least close-quarters. Maybe his weapons were more suited to short-range, guns as they were. Whatever the case, it left Desire at a disadvantageous crossroad. Her other spell was short-range, so she would have to get in close to use it, but Brian was faster than she was, so fighting him close-up might not be a good idea. Yet, if she waited, she would use up the remaining time she had left with her magic. She would just have to take the chance. Desire dashed again towards Brian, coming in from an angle this time. If she ran straight at him, it might be easier to shoot her, so the girl ran in a curved trajectory as she closed in on her opponent. As she got close enough, a bright green flame erupted from the palm of her hand which wasn’t holding her whip, and the flame coalesced into a long spectral blade. Using this weapon, she slashed at Brian twice, hoping to hit him at least on a limb, if not his head. As usual, her trump card was hopefully the element of surprise. Brian didn’t likely know she could do that, so her attack might take him by surprise. All the same, Brian was faster than she was. At that moment, after the second slash, the spectral blade vanished, and Desire’s arms returned to normal. So, now without her accelerated strength and durability, courtesy of her magic, Brian was faster… and stronger than she was, again. ACTIONS

Brian ignored Desire's chiding and taunts and waited for her to attack. His hand was at the ready to do his quickdraw of his spellgun and then it happened, she made her dash at him. His hand went to the butt of the spellgun and he started to pull it out from it's holster. Time began to slow down in her perception. He could see the green flame coming from Desire's unarmed hand and it was forming into a long blade. With it she made one swipe in the move of a forward motion. Brian managed to duck out of the way and the blade only grazed him, cutting through the fibers of his gunslinger robe. But then she turned and made another swipe of the blade. This time it was an uppercut and Brian wasn't so lucky at that time, since the tip of the blade managed to cut not only through the layer of his gunslinger robe, but also his shirt exposing his chest underneath it. Thankfully though, she did not draw blood and now it was his turn when he brought up his spellgun, the muzzle of it jabbed underneath her chin and he looked into her eyes and pulled the trigger. The magic gathered at the end of the barrel and the simple shot was fired. Actions Spell Cooldown

The guildhall was farther away than she had thought, and after going up against the big tree, and then its last born mistake, she was getting pretty winded up. All this madness needed to end, and fast too. The sun was already coming up, and the more time was spent with the weed in the center of magnolia, the more likely the chance of people getting injured. And so, she tried to ignore all the effects of tiredness that had wormed their way into her legs and lungs, as she ran as fervently as possible. She saw the Fairy Tail guildhall eventually, and doubled her efforts. Even from a distance, she could hear the noise of battle. It was not a serious din, so it was most likely that Pinkie and Brian were slugging it out. By the time she got to the gates of the guild, she was in no position to join any fight instantly, and so she ground to a halt, grasped the gate with one hand, while the other rested on her knees, while gasping for air. By the time her head stopped swimming, she looked up, to notice Brian wielding his guns, against Pinkie, whose arms had transformed into clawed appendages. She frowned slightly as she noticed that the ring which she wore around her neck gave off a faint glow. "Little wonder! So, that's what the rune on her chest is for. I knew it was a seal of sorts. I'd better watch and learn whatever I can from her magic, before I join this battle." She watched Brian as he managed to evade, albeit with difficulty, the spectral blades that Pinkie skirmished, and she already had a small version of the Shakujou sickle formed, as she approached to lend her aid. Then Brian made his counterattack, and at that moment, with as much precision as she could manage, she hurled the sickle at Pinkie... though it was not exactly meant to hit. Pinkie would see it coming and be distracted, and dodge it alright, but that would leave her very open to Brian's own attack. Actions

Desire was quite displeased to note that Brian had managed to dodge all her attacks, even if they almost did hit, and he seemed about to make a counterattack of his own. His gun seemed to be aiming for her jaw. If only she could move her head in time.... A flying weapon came from out of the corner of her eye. With alarm, Desire managed to dodge the weapon, or so she thought, as she realized that the thrown weapon was not actually aimed at her. It had all been just a distraction, so that she would be much less equipped to evade the true attack, which was Brian's. Her eyes widened in helpless shock as her eyes locked with Brian's. The force of the magic bullet whipped Desire's head backwards, sending her flying through the air to crash into the earth painfully. Without having to be told, Desire knew that somehow, whatever had kept the other Fairy Tail mage away had been removed, and the brat had come to help Brian against her. It hurt badly to know she was alone in all this, and she envied the Fairy Tail mages of the fact that there was no one she could mention to have her back, unlike them. Desire tried rising to her feet, but she stumbled and fell down again. Whatever the case, she could not give up now.... A strange splitting sound suddenly emanated from the ground beside Desire, as a large, thick vine sprang from the earth. A thinner vine sprang out afterwards, snaking round the girl's waist and lifting her towards the top of the larger vine, which began to swell at the top. The swelling burst open to reveal a tall, lanky man with a greenish tint to his skin. Desire was pleased. So she had backup, after all. For this was the same man who had asked her to help him rob the Fairy Tail guildhall. The thin vine round Desire's waist set her down on the stout leafy platform on which the man now stood. There was an exchange which the two Fairy Tail mages would be unable to hear, then the man suddenly hit Desire across the face with his open palm. The blow threw her off the plant, which began receding once again into the ground, and as the plant closed around the man, he laughed and said a single word: "Sucker!" And then the plant closed around him, and vanished into the hole whence it came. For a while, Desire lay silently on the ground. Then she rose up, shrieked something incomprehensible, and dashed madly at the two mages. ACTIONS

Brian felt an immense sense of pride that his Simple Shot had finally made some kind of dent or damage against this pink haired bitch. He couldn't help but feel such hatred for her that she was making his life so miserable with all her dodging and unwillingness to give up and just surrender before any more damage is done or before she causes more suffering. He watched when another vine came up from the ground and wondered why Cleia didn't take care of it already. And that was when the exchange happened between Desire and the strange man that appeared in the vines. Who was he? Why was he doing this and why did he toss Desire aside like that? He looked at her and started to feel a swell of pity in him growing out of the sour soil of his hatred. He looked back to the vine and the strange man who vanished just as quickly as he arrived. And that was when Desire rose up, shrieked and attacked. Brian side-stepped and tried to see if there was a way to trip Desire or at least incapacitate her. The way she was attacking seemed so feral and mindless, like she was an inexperienced fighter in a catfight. Quickly he holstered his gun while his free hand reached out to grab her wrist. After holstering his gun he brought his newly free hand and grabbed her other wrist and then pinned her down to the ground, his knees on either side of her. ACTIONS

Cleia gave a silent sigh of relief when Brian's attack hit home. Hopefully, this would put Pinkie down and out, allowing them to focus their attention back on the city square. She noticed that Pinkie had tried to stand to her feet again, but it looked like the fight had been knocked out of her... ... and then more woody happenings began to take place. Cleia groaned, a part of her mind wondering whether she wouldn't get home and have to dispose of all her potted plants, what with the constant intrusion of demon plants at the most inopportune of times. Stretching out her hand, the Shakujou that lay about, after she had thrown it, scattered into runes and returned to her hand, where it re-materialized. She was slightly surprised to notice that it was not another attack, but the creature that grew out of it seemed to be one of Pinkie's acquaintances. For a while, they talked, their voices too low to be heard. Cleia began closing the gap between herself and Brian; they could plan their own strategies too, while their enemies were doing the same. All of a sudden, the strange newcomer slapped Pinkie off the plant, and escaped back into the ground from whence he came. Cleia found it a little immature for him to part with such a childish insult. She shook her head mentally as she watched to see Pinkie's response to all this. "Ouch! Bad day at work, maybe?" she wondered. From the looks of things, this was an act of betrayal. Like Brian, she sort of felt sorry for Pinkie. And she was grateful, too. Grateful that she had friends who had her back. Cleia had hoped that Pinkie would stay down and allow herself to be brought in, but instead, she went berserk. "She's attacking!" With a quick hand movement, Cleia summoned up another group of runes, this time to form a glowing blue ball, which she cast at Desire's feet, not wanting to hurt her any further than she had to. The Jinrai would explode, most of its impact absorbed by the ground, but the ensuing shockwave would be sufficient to trip her up before she got close enough. Brian was already moving forward, as he holstered his gun, so Cleia could expect that he intended to attempt to physically restrain Pinkie. And with Pinkie's reckless move, she would be easily tripped up and subdued, unless she had some nifty evasion techniques which had been hitherto unused. Actions
