Trying to come up with a good effect for one of Blitz's main items that's lightning-based - I'm debating have it work with Blitz's magic, in that it can conduct lightning through Blitz's machines and metal without harming Blitz himself, but im not sure if I should try to find a way to make that less situational, or have a different lightning effect, and just have it be able to conduct along metal as needed. Any ideas on a good lightning-based tech, or a good way to make conducting lightning more useful, would be appreciated. |

Unless you want some kind of self-powering, bite-sized electrical generator to implant in Blitzy, I personally don't recommend the conduction thing. If you do, you can use it to shoot lightning at a certain rank from any point in his body. Of course, you'd have to word it to state that he must trigger it and be aware of where it's shooting and stuff. For a weapon, you probably just want either an infusement tech (Enchant the weapon to deal lightning damage on an attack) or a good old fashioned 'ishootlightninginyoufacemofo' tech |

Eh, I think a tech to sort of harness then fire off lightning is more suited to an armor-type item than a straight up weapon, since he would wear it. As for the standard lightning blast, it's, effective, but i feel like since it can only be Rank 9 at most, it needs something else. If nothing else, at least a variation on how it strikes the target or reaches them. |

If you ended up with a blast but wanted it interesting, troll people with direction shields by making the lightning come from straight down above them. You could also make it a line AoE and hit everyone caught in the range, as opposed to it striking and stopping at the first target. You could also go all Tesla/D&D in here and make ball lightning, directing it and having it strike multiple times from any angle. Or just do a fireball, but with electricity. |

Not a bad idea. Maybe have it strike the target from above, starting from the same distance above the target as Blitz is from the target. Or have it so i can send it from the ground upward, if the sword is touching the ground at the time of casting. Feasible. That said, I'm also looking into a fist-based weapon - essentially, might boil down to a set of gauntlets or something, unsure just yet, but I need a good on-hit effect. I could just have it do extra physical damage on impact with a punch, but I've got that exact tech via Crush Knuckle. I need something with a variance in the effect or how it's applied to the target, like with the lightning idea. |
