What is Project Jumpstart? Project Jumpstart is a program designed by the staff to help our newbies integrate into the FTG social circle more easily, by pairing newbies in need of an RP partner or a friend up with volunteers, consisting of our stable and willing members. How does Project Jumpstart Work? If You're Not a Newbie If You Are a Newbie Troubleshooting, or Shooting Troubles - "The benefit for this for newbies is obvious; what are the benefits for the older members?" o3o~ This is a volunteer-run thing, so there's no compensation that exceeds a normal thread. What were you expecting? Bonus jewels and SP? Excuse me, rude. - "What if the newbie suddenly goes inactive?" o3o~ Sadly enough, even this is sometimes inevitable despite our best efforts; if the newbie vanishes, then obviously the thread is graded - however, to thank the volunteers for spending their time to do such a thing, their rewards will get no deduction due to thread inactivity, and - "What if the volunteer suddenly goes inactive?" o3o~ We will immediately end the thread and try to match the newbie up with another buddy, upon being alerted of such a situation. Unless the inactivity of the older member is due to extreme situations (real-life issues, up to mod discretion) and not petty reasons ("lost mah derp muse") they will get a heavy penalty in the grading, while the newbie will have no deduction in said thread. - "What if this somehow gets manipulated or twisted somehow by those who wish to do so?" o3o~ Look at the title: Troubleshooting, or Shooting Troubles |
