Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

It was raining when they arrived in Dandelion Sector.

Xaion found himself standing on a rooftop overlooking the central lane of the sector with a raincoat shielding his form both from view and from the weather, the black material slick with rain and casting a shadow over the right half of his face, his left eye, cheek, and the left side of his jaw visible in the low light of the locale that would favorably be called a slum by most people.

He saw people running around even in the weather, some wearing protection and some not. Dandelion Sector appeared to be bustling with activity regardless of time or weather, and as the rain began to come down even harder he began to wonder how many people might get caught up in their conflict if they found the headquarters of the prismatic tiger guild. Still, they needed to be dealt with. The guild's members were running rampant all over Fiore and it didn't seem like anybody was prepared to deal with them yet.

Well, maybe he and his new ally could deal with them on their own. At the very least get to their guildmaster and talk him down from robbing trains and attempting to murder people left and right. Maybe. The scope of what they meant to do suddenly hit Xaion as he looked down at the Dandelion sector. He had mentioned to the Knights of Fiore in Oshibana that the dark guild was stationed here, but he'd never received a confirmation if there was going to be a detail sent out to investigate.

Still, they were here to find this dark guild. He could only hope the finding would not be too difficult. This place was filled with all sorts of distasteful people, and they only had the general information provided by their captive back at the station as to where to find the guildhouse.

He glanced around for Kurui. He wasn't about to start looking without his new ally, and he wanted to make sure the half-demon hadn't started ripping out throats just yet. There would be time for that later, after all.

Gazing up at the storm-gray sky as countless droplets of water fell into the Earth's cruel, harsh bosom as they freed themselves from the restraining embrace of the clouds floating amongst the skies, the hanyou opened his mouth, standing still as his tongue extended out to catch a few passing raindrops, the tiny imperfect spheres of cler liquid resting upon his tongue for a half-second before losing form as they melted down his throat.
The water was clean; pure; sweet. Untainted by pollutants and not with any unnatural components, the water that fell from the sky was of a far higher caliber than that sold in the uniform water bottles lined neatly within the nearby stores. Tightening his clawed grip upon his bow, the hanyou took a step forward, his eyes now focused towards the scenery in front of him as the raindrops fell carelessly around him, splattering on his hair and soaking through his clothes.

It had rained when Kurui was last in Dandelion - a crimson rain. Blood that had spurted out from the open wounds of the men that the demon had killed - men that had attacked another man, a mere boy, and in turn the hanyou had feasted upon their flesh and drank their blood. Like the rain right now, the blood had been sweet, soaking through Kurui's garments with impunity.
Unlike the blood, the hanyou felt no trace of guilt nor sorrow as he walked amongst the rain. The day that he had rained blood upon a single alleyway in Dandelion, the halfman had learned of the death of a man he had once called a friend, and as such, had taken his anger and fury and sorrow upon those who were equally as unclean and sinful, yet altogether unrelated.

Snapping back out of the abyss his memories were slowly luring him into, the hanyou lashed out with his free hand, gripping the wrist of the young, scrawny, malnourished child that had just bumped into him, the young boy's face molting from an expression of surprise to one of pure terror as he took in Kurui's features.
The ears of a beast.
The tails of a monster.
The eyes of an animal.
The fangs of a devil.
The claws of a demon.
The face of a boy.
The body of a man.
The eyes of a killer.
Letting out a low whimper, the boy started shaking in his knees as his mouth opened and closed thrice before forming audible words - perhaps he was speaking to plea for his life, perhaps he was speaking to reason with the halfman. No matter which outcome, his words were not heard, as the hanyou thrust the bag of coins into the boy's trembling, grimy hands and turned around once more, walking away from the pickpocket even as the boy stared in a mixture of surprise and disbelief.

Gazing skyward once more as he neared the bottom of a low building, the demi-demon rapped his bow twice with his knuckle, the crisp, dry sound of bone against wood being easily noticeable with the near-rhythmic din of the rain.
"Hey."
His voice was monotonous, yet sad.

As he was waiting, Xaion found himself approached by a variety of people - his normal intimidating aura didn't seem to affect some of the people here in Dandelion Sector, or it could be that his features were hidden enough that it was cancelled out. At each request for money or assistance, he would turn to listen and meet their eyes - at which point most people stopped talking and moved away apologetically. He wasn't meaning to scare them off, but he couldn't help it - his red eyes and serious expression pushed them away, and when they did he thought of Kurui - did he mean to come off the way he does, or was that also an accident?

Regardless, Kurui had arrived.

Xaion dropped from the low roof to the ground next to his ally, straightening back up after landing and looking at the half demon - red eyes meeting red eyes. "I haven't heard or seen anything yet. Nobody is talking about them and I haven't seen any obvious buildings." His raincoat hood still shadowed his face, and he glanced around after speaking - looking for any sort of sign of the Prismatic Tiger guild. His vision likely wasn't as good as Kurui's though.

Their hunt began now; Xaion thought back to the last time he did something like this, hunting the bandits that had murdered his parents. He remembered his frantic attack and the results of it, his master being killed by the weapon his parents had forged. The memory of his master's dying breath came back to him - and he stifled it instantly.

Now was not the time for memory or remorse.

The hanyou gazed at the boy in front of him, the grey eyes of a monster clad within the skin of a human meeting the red eyes of a human accompanying a poorly-disguised monster. Silent, he said no words as Xaion greeted him in return, still noticeable cautious when around Kurui - and understandably so, for their first meeting had kicked off with Kurui ripping through grown men and consuming them with impunity, and ending with a rather monstrous display of cruelty from the demi-demon. Gripping his bow with an even firmer grip than before as the halfman unwillingly thought back to the tantalizingly delicious and mouth-wateringly nauseous sensation of skin parting under his claws, flesh ripping under his fangs, and the fresh, sweet, warm, thick dribble of blood that flowed down his throat, Kurui suppressed the urge to do the same to the boy in front of him.

He was not hungry today, and he did not require flesh.
It was not hungry today, and it simply wished to eat.

Forcing himself to dry-swallow once, allowing nothing to travel down the contaminated passageway that was his throat, the hanyou bit himself with his fangs, sharpened enamel easily piercing through the soft, fragile skin of the lips and digging deep into the flesh that lay underneath. Gazing upon Xaion's figure once more, the taste of his own blood - warmer and sweeter than that of a normal humans - and suppressing the urge to vomit at the far more potent scent of the red nectar, the hanyou realized, for the first time since he met this boy, that Xaion did not simply wish to settle a simple debt.

He had a far more personal and historical reason for doing this, albeit not necessarily to the same group, but for similar reasons nonetheless.

"Then ask, human. Or should I cause enough bloodshed that even they are forced to take notice of the happenings upon their very own doorsteps?" His voice was threatening; serious. For while Kurui was hesitant, it was not.

Xaion rolled his eyes at the statement. "I have been." He retorted, starting to lead the way through the rain down a nearby alley. "But there are places that people were... less inclined to speak about. I assume that in those areas of Dandelion Sector we will find more information." Specifically, he had to 'gently reassure' a couple of pickpockets that had tried to steal from him prior to his arrival at the meeting point about where he might find mages in the sector.

They'd been unwilling to tell him that the northern side of the sector was where mages liked to hang out, for fear of repercussions. He'd been able to easily enough convince them the repercussions of not speaking to him would be worse. So, they headed out to the north of the sector - Xaion brusquely moving through the crowds with a purpose. As they moved, he recalled the incidents of his past once again. This hunt was drawing him back to his past more and more, and he wasn't sure if he liked what it was doing to him.

The closer they got to the bandits the more he could feel his calm be unsettled, visions of his dead master and parents flashing before his eyes. He could press down on the memories, hold them in and lock them tight away, but they would eventually worm their way back out to the forefront of his mind. He had never truly dealt with what had happened before he set out, and it seemed destiny was trying to force his hands in that regard.
