As Snow adamantly told Cain that she would not leave him to whatever a Mord Sith was, simply because their was worse things than torture or death, Cain couldn't help but agree. " You are correct Miss Snow. There are worse things than torture and death..and thats what I fear most above all fates to befall someone as kind as you. " Cain would say before laying down. " Wake me as you please " he would tell her before shutting his eyes to drift off to sleep after quite a long day for him. He had hiked quite a bit, been dragged around and beaten, fought for his life against the smellies, and then even hunted! He was quite tired compared to his more comfortable days spent inside the city walls studying or helping people.

A few hours later Cain would be stirred awake by Snow as it was his turn for watch so that she could get some sleep before the day truly began. As he was stirred though his initial reaction was what one may expect from a noble, he wiggled and moved a bit before slowly rising with a yawn and lazy look in his eyes. " Huh..ya " Cain would say before getting up and moving a bit to the other side of the fire stoking it a bit before sitting back doing looking to the stars. Snow had made one simply request for when she awoke Cain was to explain to her what a Mord Sith exactly was. This to be blunt was a request and question he was by far more willing to answer and part with than the others. With Da'hara no more, people needed to be aware of things that had come to Earthland. For a Mord Sith to Cain was rather a embodiment of death it self.

As the sun rose to the horizon Cain would give Snow a few nudges before leaving her to awake and rise without being crowded. As Snow would get up Cain would checking his spare clips for his pistols. He would calmly await for her to seem more awake before starting his explanation of a mord sith. " So you wish to know what a Mord Sith is? I can more than abide. " Cain would say as he slipped the clip into one his pistols slowly till it clicked into place.

" Mord Sith are the personal body guards of House Rahl. Each noble of the house has at least two Mord Sith guards. It used to be more, but coming by a Mord Sith has become more harder with the fall of Da'hara my homeland. " Cain would explain allowing Snow to further awake and understand the information she was given. " Mord Sith are mostly woman taken from their families at a young age to serve House Rahl. They are clothes, fed and given the highest of educations. In return however they are what is called.." Cain would pause for a moment the word alone giving him reason to pause. " Trained. They are forced to watch as their teacher a fellow Mord Sith tortures and beats criminals without mercy till it no longer because hard to watch. They then are taught how to torture someone, once they have a standard understanding of the art, they are forced to torture one of their parents to the point of death. They are broken again and again till all they know is the Mord Sith and then turn the remaining parent into their personal slave before killing them. " Cain would explain slowly making sure every grim word sunk into Snow before they proceeded as he pulled out the clip from his pistol and tucked it into one of his many inner coat pockets and placed the original clip into the pistol.

" They are taught hand to hand combat, and trained in a baton like weapon called a Agiel. The Agiel is a ancient weapon crafted by my ancestors that hurts the wielder but inflicts nightmarish pain onto its victims. The Mord Sith clad in red leather wield these weapons to defend most of House Rahl. They hold no mercy even for fellow Rahl's, while they are forbidden to kill a Rahl, they are only truly loyal to their Master or my Father. The current Lord Rahl. " Cain would say dropping not just one or two bombs for Snow to absorb but several, that he wasn't just any old Rahl sent to Fiore but the current head of the houses son! That being said, it made the fact his life had been attempted on much more reasonable to why someone would want to purge him from the house.

Rising from his sitting position and prepared to move out Cain tucked his pistol into his jacket. " If that isn't enough to make my words of concern make you wary. My father once told me that the oldest Mord Sith, the most powerful are able to reflect and turn a wizards mage back onto themselves. This is how House Rahl has been safeguarded even from other mages throughout the centuries. " Cain would say with a heavy sigh. " I wish for things to change " was all Rahl would say before looking to the trail ahead for them to take, he had said more than what Snow had asked and surely she had much to think on, after all she was just explained just why Cain was worried that if they encountered a Mord sith what could befall Snow, for if she wasn't killed, her fate by far would be worse than death.

Honesty without tact is cruelty.

Snow woke to Cain poking at her. She opened her eyes, immediately on guard. It took her a moment or two to get her bearings straight. Luckily she hadn’t pounced on him immediately. She checked her clothing, letting out a small sigh of relief as she realized she was still wearing all of it. Even her boots were still snuggly in place. She thought about his comment from before about her being kind hearted and she nearly laughed out loud. But she managed to control the laughter, and she sat up pulling her legs to her chest and resting her head on her knees before the recently stirred fire.

He began his explanations simply enough. She nodded once when he asked if she really wanted to know what they were. She understood from his demeanor that it was something important. It was as he began to go into detail however, that she realized just how serious he was. Cain was putting clips into his pistols, eyes focused on the task at hand though he was probably not actually seeing what he was doing. He seemed a little hazy to her, as though he were elsewhere in his mind. This campsite, the pathway ahead, seemed to fade before him as he explained to her what it meant to be Mord Sith.

Snow took a steadying breath as he continued. Had he looked, he would have seen the mortification on her face. Not because of what they were, or even what they could do. Pity was warring with every other emotion she had. Yes, she wish for balance, and inner peace. But she wasn’t sure she would have been able to survive being put through the…training as he called it. What’s more, when he said they could turn a mage’s magic against them, Snow bit the inside of her cheek. That is the last thing she would want. It would be simple enough, she supposed, for them to force her to unleash the beast without warning. It was something the fought daily, and it scared her slightly that these poor women had been given such an unusual power.

When he was done speaking, he stood, turning to the path. He was ready to move on, and she couldn’t honestly say she blamed him. Activity usually helped her put her troubles behind her as well. She stood as well, stretching and jogging in place. ”All right. So these women, with their sticks, are scary as hell. I got that. Doesn’t mean I’m going to turn tail and leave you to that fate. They might not kill you, but you and I both know that death would be a blessing under those circumstances. I will say…If they force me….to turn…” She gave him an earnest look, her eyes filled with something between shame and fear. Her voice had gone quite soft, so that he would have to listen quite closely to hear her properly. ”If they force me to turn, it would be best if you go. Unless death is the option you seek.”

With that she took a deep breath, slung her bow across her back and headed off in the direction they had originally been going in. She hoped it wouldn’t come to them running. But if it did, she hope he had the sense to do so.

Cain would simply nod his head in agreement. He couldn't fight someone when it came to loyalty after all it was something he treasured. " I am grateful. As foolhardy as it may be. I thank you for your willingness to stand with me " Was all he would say before they would started to head out down the trail heading hopefully in the direction of the guild of wishes. Cain kept up the best he could to Snow, however he often fell a bit behind as he wasn't as skilled as she was one bit at walking through the forest, the trails and roads Cain was accustom to were that of stone and paved forests and jungles were man dwelled.

It wouldn't take long down the trail however before Cain couldn't help but ask, his curiosity making it unbearable to go any further without inquiring. " So..your magic. I take it is more so a curse than a gift or skill? " Cain would ask, being that what Snow feared more than the Mord Sith itself was the chance of her 'turning' against her will. Cain had heard of people that possessed magic that was not of their choosing or learnt but rather a effect of coming in contact with some cursed object, creature or even less fortunate born with the affliction. He had never come across anyone afflicted as such, but heard many tales and read quite a number of stories in his library back home.

Snow followed behind Cain this time, keeping an eye out. If they were approaching their destination it was imperative to their plan that they not be spotted prior to getting there. She was still somewhat sleepy, but other than that she was fine. She took a deep breath as Cain asked about her magic. It was something she didn't often disclose. It was her personal burden after all. But if there was a chance these people could force her to turn he might as well know about it. "I'm ... Well I was bitten by a wolf, you see. And now...I kind of turn into one on occasion." She wasn't looking at him, not fully in any case. She was sort of staring off into the distance as she spoke of the matter.

"Mostly, I have it under control now. I just wanted you to know, that if I turn into a rather large dog, you should probably start running. Its not exactly the best thing to be around when I'm like that. Especially not when I don't turn of my own free will." She had spent so much of her life trying to protect people from that exact scenario that she couldn't help but find it ironic she was willingly going toward something that might force her into it.

Snow walked on after this little speech, not really in the mood to discuss it further. She wasn't much for putting people's lives in danger. Looking at Cain she realized she didn't actually hate him enough to feel nothing about his death. She had no reason to. He had been nothing but polite and helpful since this whole mess had started. The name he carried didn't make much difference. She wondered vaguely if he knew that already. That was none of her business though. So she left it alone.

The forest was alive with the sound of ... well, various creatures really. Always a good sign that there were no other people around. The path they took was still a rather winding one. She stepped lightly, as always. And though Rahl was getting better at walking quietly, probably without even realizing he was doing so, she still laughed a little to herself when they were forced to go through thick underbrush. He did sound like a herd of cattle moving through the forest then.

It didn't actually take long for midday to be upon them, and it was then that Snow noticed something ahead of them. It was..."Is that where we are going?" Snow said quietly to Rahl. It seemed they had come upon the infamous guild of wishes without even realizing it.

" Thats horrible " cain would say as Snow explained her affliction. " Those are the sorts of things I aim to cure in my medical research...though it far from fruitful currently " Cain would admit, in hopes of maybe giving snow more reason to keep in contact with cain, and to keep him alive. As they kept moving along through the brush attempting to find their elusive target it was dead silence as both of them really hadn't much more to say and were more concerned about keeping a keen eye out for any bandits, creatures, or this guild of wishes.

As mid-day came however they would find themselves with some luck as they came upon what only could be the settlement. " Aye I think it is. " Cain would agree and place his arm out toward Snow so she could bind him. " Loosely keep in mind, and make sure you put on a good act, the buyer will surely present himself after asking around a bit. I will keep quiet and watchful till he locate the buyer. " Cain would explain and lay out the plan once more for Snow before they would begin to enter the guild of wishes, which for the most part was a giant bazaar with a large building as its center point.

All sorts of merchants and merchandise was on display as this place seemed quite a bustling trade center as people shopped, sold things quickly. There were even some carriages moving through carrying supplies and items. Everything from bronze rings to captured vulcans could be found here, if ya knew where to look and who to ask.

Snow agreed that this was likely the place they had sought. She took the rope from her bag, careful to make the knots rather loose around Cain's wrists, though they looked convincing enough."Just be careful how you move. They are a variation of a slip knot, and if you wiggle around too much, they will tighten and defeat the purpose."She eyed the doctor for a moment. He looked like he'd been sleeping rough, but not like he had been roughed up. She didn't particularly want to, but she gave him a quick punch to the jaw, not enough to hurt him, just enough to leave a flowering bruise on his face."Sorry. Gotta make it look good after all."

She stood, pulling him along, but leaving slack in the rope she held to keep it from tightening on his wrists. The Guild of Wishes lay before them, and a thousand different opportunities presented themselves. Gypsy like caravans were in several different places. Sellers hawked their wares if the were legitimate, and waited for clientele to come to them if they weren't. She could see a multitude of creatures and wildlife locked away in cages and seemingly starving, or worse. 'Magicians' of the cheap and useless variety were standing close by, proclaiming the usefulness of their potions and concoctions from a nearby stage. She noted as well that her 'prisoner' was not the only one present here. There were cages being loaded and offloaded on wagons close to the center building. The empty cages went on the wagon, the ones filled with captured people went off. Snow kept her eyes focused on the center building to the best of her ability. She didn't want to blow the plan before it had begun truly, and there would be plenty of time for destruction, she reminded herself, when they were done here.

It took her more than a few moments to reach the building properly. She marched herself straight up to the front door, and gave a knock. She was guessing (rightly) that they wouldn't allow just anyone into their precious center of operations. A small slit in the door and a pair of suspicious eyes appeared. "Whaddaya want? Market isn't in here." Snow tugged on the rope holding Rahl's hands and he came into view. "Ah well.. What have you got there Miss?"

Snow gave a wolf smile. "I think you know perfectly well what I have. I lifted it off of some rather clumsy ruffians and decided I'd bring it in. For their reward of course. If you'd prefer I can just cut it loose..." The man behind the door chuckled."Oh no. We want that particular piece of loot. Do bring it in."

The door swung open slowly, and she took a tentative step forward. This could all be a trap after all. She was counting on them wanting Rahl bad enough that it wouldn't be sprung for a while yet though.

As Snow tied the knot around Rahl's hands she explained how it worked, it was simple enough and would hopefully serve their purpose well. However without warning Snow gave him a quick punch to the jaw. " Ah! " He would exclaim and sigh after she apologized and explained it was to make things look believable. " Probably had it coming in one way or another " Rahl would comment before they got up and started to head into the guild of wishes. As they did Rahl would noticed it seemed to be quite rampant with all sorts of shady dealings today, he heard it was a place of businesses and wonder, but it seemed all the wondered and been pushed aside for the more shadier of dealings in this part of Fiore one of the foremost seeming to be the purchase of a noble.

As Snow started to walk up to the main building, it was a good plan that Rahl could agree with, not that he could voice his opinion currently in this confines. No common slave traders or slavers would want a noble only someone with much more coin would make such a outlandish request and see it done. Only someone with that sort of influence could have known where Rahl was gonna be, and when, and that he would be unguarded. As Snow knocked and the slit open for the man to peer outward, he seemed uncaring till he laid eyes on Rahl, hook line and sinker. The door opened with little effort after inviting Snow and Rahl in.

" Please, please come in you must be anxious to collect your reward. " A short pudgy man wearing businesses vest suit would call out to snow as he literally waddled away from the front door and to what looked to be the entrance to the parlor. " We were curious why it was taking those buffoons were taking so long, now we see someone of a high caliber took over. Please please, leave it right here " the pudgy man said pointing to a rail right before the parlor, peering beyond the doorway into the parlor one could see someone sitting in a large back chair facing a window that overlooked a small bit of the bazaar.

If Snow left Rahl tied to the rail, she would be greeted with warm welcome into the parlor and guided to sit on a fine exotic couch and presented tea with some sort of cookie like treat. If she didn't it was safe to say the pudgy man gave her rather a grim stare and would start to get quite suspicious. Once in the parlor, sitting the pudgy man would approach the high back chair " the package you requested has arrived sir, we apologize for the delay, but...there was a change in handlers, this fine woman right here expedited your prize to us. "The pudge man said with a man before a puff of smoke rose from the chair." Ya know what you have acquired for me? " The voice said in a rather fine tone of superiority....the man behind all this was right before snow all the while Rahl was left unguarded and tied to a rail.

Snow walked in calmly behind the rather pudgy man in the waistcoat. He seemed like someone who would run a place such as this. Too used to luxury to really put forth the work required to keep up his lifestyle. "I am indeed rather anxious. This one has been a handful. Had to deck him just to make him see that I meant business." She didn't elaborate further. The less she said, the more likely they were to believe that she was actually a simple mercenary. They did tend to be rather taciturn in her experience. It lent a certain aura of mystery that their profession required she supposed. The man pointed to the rail, not really looking at Rahl anymore. He referred to him as an it, and it took Snow counting to 10 for her to be able to control her anger at that small gesture. She supposed it went along with the job, making it less person, making the victim less human. She didn't buy into it, not much. But she certainly wasn't letting go of the "prize" in a place like this. That was asking for trouble, amongst other things.

"I'm sure you'll understand," she said with a raised brow and a disapproving purse of her lips, "If I would prefer to keep him with me. Can't let the prize out of sight until I obtain my own you know. Its...Bad for business, in my experience." The pudgy man made a huff, seeming to take it as a personal affront to his own business acumen that she would consider this place unfit for holding her prisoner. He gave her look of anger, disdain even, and made to reply, but even as he drew in breath to begin to bluster a slight cough from the parlor would stop him.

"Come this way please." The pudgey man would say, perhaps becoming aware that it would be his own head if he managed to disappoint his client. She pulled slightly on the ropes which held Cain's hands, leading him to the parlor with her. There she took a seat on a rather large couch, watching as Fatty moved around, pouring her a cup of tea and setting a plate of treats before her. Neither of which would she dare to touch. That thing about it being bad for business playing over in her mind. One did not sit around and drink tea with people who were paying good coin for a man to be delivered to them. Not if one valued their lives at any rate. The man in the large chair was speaking before ever he turned to her.

It took only a few moments before he made a motion with a single, elegant gloved hand for Fatty to move him though. It was quite a sight, watching as Fatty moved the large expensive antique chair around to show its occupant to the people sitting there. "You, my darling girl, have acquired for me something precious beyond belief. An entire bloodline, and all the secrets its simple genetics could possibly hold...Now at my fingertips." He pushed his glasses up on his nose, his long hair falling over his shoulder. He wore a smile which would chill the blood of any normal human being. Luckily, Snow was neither, and she smiled right back. His glacial eyes seemed to find something worthwhile in that single motion. "Please, eat something." She raised a single brow at him, and he began to laugh. "I wouldn't drug you my darling girl. I am simply happy that you have brought him to me. Besides, I have more than enough money to pay you the sum you require. You see, I am the household doctor of the family Rahl. I'm sure that dear Cain here remembers me well enough, don't you?"

Cain tried his hardest not to smile as Snow refused to tie him to a rail outside the parlor. It seemed the pudgy little man wasn't amused but would humour them for now since Cain was worth quite the catch. Leading them into the next room that would possible be home to something a tad worse than what Cain had come expecting or thinking could be behind all this theatre and dance. The voice was somewhat obscure as Cain couldn't place who it belonged too or where he had heard it before. It was only as the man rose from his chair and addressed Cain himself would he be able to place it perfectly.

" August Strudam " Cain would utter with a hateful look in his eyes. " Took think you of all people would arrange all of this. " Cain would say before spitting onto one of August's shoes. " You forsake your duty and your loyalty to House Rahl " Cain would say seeming to be ready to go with how much it was obvious he was holding himself back physically for some unknown reason, the most of all to Snow who knew if Cain wanted to go, he could have at this man.

" I have served faithfully a plenty, but I hold no loyalty to the coward heir and his ineptitude. I am doing a service to House Rahl, and all mankind, for with your blood, I will be able to perform miracles, I will break down barriers in magic and science. " August would explain before waving his arms out wide to his sides in a dramatic display " Most of all, House Rahl will be free of the threat you pose, making me not only more desired by the House but with my achievements possible with you I will can become famous! " The man would say before laughing franticly it obvious that he had been plotting and obsessing over this moment for quite some time.

" You said I didn't have any magic, that I'd never be able to unlock the magic of the Rahl bloodline...." Cain would say seeming to ease back a bit and start to eye his surroundings. " Yes yes yes " August said lowering his arms rolling his eyes at Cain. " You may not ever unlock the magic of the Rahl bloodline, but the power inside your blood, if diluted, strained, and spliced correctly with the right process and materials, the high ether-nano particles it contains can be used for literally unlimited amount of things if perfected. With you as my living supply of Rahl blood I can perfect the application of Rahl blood and use it for anything from weapons to creating new metals. " August would explain but cain focus would be on Snow at this moment.

Cain would give snow a faint smile as August as finished his explanation, further backing up what Cain had only a novice understanding of up till now, and was merely theorizing about the application of his own blood. With further proof that it was possible if experimented with Cain's first thought was to that of curing snow of her curse, as he had just told her mere hours before if he was given time to experiment, this man before them in his foolhardy nature just confirmed that it could be possible. However with Cain not paying attention to August and his grand scheme and plans, it was insulting for the spotlight to be else where. A swift hand would strike across Cain's face leaving a bright red mark as August got close to Cain and lifted his head to stare him in the eyes. " You cocky entitled little snot. Do you really still think you own this room? You are nothing, less than nothing to even your own kin. You have no magic, no mord sith, and no allies. You were born to meld Science and Magic together and nothing more! " August would say his eyes fanatical as he looked at Cain.

" I've got alot more than you ever will" Cain would say with a stern look as he motioned to Snow with his hands towards the pudgy little man that seemed to have a sadistic grin on his face watching all of this up till now. It was time for Snow to do what she really wanted to do from the get go.

She listened to all of it, all the ranting an raving that seemed to be coming from this enigmatic "doctor". He was at once cold and distant, and then within the blink of an eye became the fanatical crazy person. She couldn't help but note that his crazy was well hidden. While she did eye Rahl, waiting on him to make his move, she couldn't understand why he waited so long. Sure she heard the science-y talk, but that went over her head. Intelligent she might be, but she certainly didn't catch the drift of the majority of it. Just that they wanted to harm Cain, all for his blood, and some insane plot to use it to make things. Who the hell made things out of other people's blood?! The bastards. They were no better than the gypsies and liars that had tried to cut her to make their sickening potions when she wanted nothing but a cure. She did well, hiding her eyes, looking at the cup of tea before her though she still hadn't touched it.

When Cain finally gave her the look, the signal that meant she could set to, she gave a long laugh. For a moment, the room seemed to stand still, her voice out of place in this moment of pressure and, for one man, triumph. It was soft, sensual...It was a laugh of pure unadulterated pleasure. But for all the right reasons. She looked up at the man standing over Rahl, letting go the doctor's ropes. It took only half a heart beat for the difference there to register. The soft yellow-gold glow that meant trouble for her enemies. The beast was in its best form, all for the hunt, and with its host just as anxious for blood as itself.

She turned in the blink of an eye, no more. Though she still had her human hands, claws replaced her nails. She had a tail, and two fluffy white ears that sprouted from the top of her head. It was the growl, low and feral and full of anger, that reminded the men in the room that movement might hasten their chances of living through this day. She was quick, no one could deny her that. Even as the doctor darted away, she heaved at the coffee table, throwing it in his direction. It hit well enough, knocking his legs out from under him. As for Fatty, his previously sadistic look was replaced with one of horror. She made her way to him with a few well executed leaps, the last one ending in her claws slashing through the fat on his stomach. Blood spattered the expensive carpeting, the walls, and Snow's face. She gave another laugh, and then a snarl. She turned, eying both doctors. "Would you like me to finish him, or shall I give you the pleasure?" Whatever Rahl decided, Snow felt certain her work was far from over. And Cain's prey was still struggling to right himself. It occurred to Snow rather belatedly that she might have broken something he needed. "If you want him, I will go free their prisoners.I have no intention of letting them keep slaves."
