Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

The two chose to split up and so Suijin made his way to the right side of the room after the Duke's full of himself speech. While Suijin agreed the man was full of it, he couldn't help he was calling the kettle black in this case. He was guilty, and shameless about it, of being just as much as loving the spot light as he did. Perhaps with a bit more subility as he, but he loved attention. He very much enjoyed being admired and fawned over. Oddly, his looks, what he considered to be simple, was an area of wide attraction among women in Fiore. Foreign charm he had considered calling it. And here was no exception.

As he approached a nearby table and took one of the small somewhat edible samples available, couple of ladies talking among one another stopped what they were doing and looked at him with interest. Within a few seconds, they came over to him, interested to talk to him. "Hi there," a red head in a beautiful violet dress spoke to him. "Wow. Finally some interesting company at these lame parties."

Suijin smiled and cocked his head in a sexy way at the woman. "Is that so?" he asked, playing innocent.

"Oh just we are dragged here to make a statement for our fathers" the other woman said, a long haired brunette. "Something about making a statement. Its strange cause he didn't even want to go but it was something to do with 'dignity' ."

Suijin gave a soft laugh. "I see. Well hopefully things will be a bit more livelier. I am certainly enjoying my new company so far." he winked at them. The two girls laughing a bit as they were indeed glancing at Suijin, especially as he was shirtless and showing off plenty of desired muscle.

The three had a nice chat and he did learn some things. Basically the party was an excuse for the duke to show off, and the games were usually one sided. But the big change was that Suijin and Snow were there to actually beat the challenge, and if they were smart, they would do it, and stick it to the duke as well.

Meanwhile Suijin could see the ladies' boyfriends in the side of the room, looking at him with discontent. Of course, this didn't bother Suijin in the least. he was used to receiving some envy from the other guys.

At that time however, Snow appeared and tugged his arm. Needless to say the two ladies he had been talking to gave sounds of disappointment. He just smiled and gave a courteous goodbye for now. As he was now back with Snow, he replied, "What can I say? I tend to attract a crowd. Or are you just getting a bit jealous?" he said slying winking at her and wondering if she was drawn to him as well. What her response was, was another matter.

However, soon things got strange when a few laughs got their attention. Suijin turned to find-- who else-- but Vector. ANd boy was he up to trouble again! The little crocodile was now entertaining some ladies of his own, more drawn by his 'cuteness' than his actual charm. But what was most noticeable was the new getup he was wearing. He now wore a trenchcoat and hat, similar to a Film Noir detective.

"I don't believe this..." Suijin said as the two of them went closer to see their comrade acting up. "And what the hell are you suppose to be?" Suijin asked his green friend.

Vector turned from his growing crowd of fans to Suijin. "Isn't it obvious? he said as he made a little pose, exciting more cute comments from the guests "I am the deviously handsome private eye who is gonna solve this case. The gum-shoe who will solve even the most difficult of crimes! I am detective Vector."

A sweat drop fell from Suijin's head as he saw his friend show off more exessively. Luckily no one seemed to mind. "Sure, you're detective Vector. You are also nuts..."

With that, the festivities were about to begin!

Snow raised her eyebrows in disbelief at the jealousy comment. As if. She didn't even bother telling him he was delusional, she just shook her head. She couldn't say she was that surprised when Vector showed up doing his impersonation bit. She was more surprised Suijin actually seemed to mind it. Why have a pet you couldn't take out in public? But she again shook her head, still playing the part of the civilized recluse, enjoying a rare night out and not at all bothered by the the machinations of the crocodile. She couldn't even get onto him here, or there might be a scene, and they didn't need to be memorable. Not at all. Though, she thought with a sigh, there was little hope of going completely unnoticed at this point. "You and that crocodile suit each other remarkably well. Neither of you seem to be able to help yourselves." She said it quietly, and while wearing a smile. She wished the game would start. Her face was getting tired of using muscles she wasn't accustomed to. Smiling being a generally rare thing for her.

"All right everyone, the first floor is now open for exploration. You have to fine at least 3 valid clues in order to advance to the next floor. Thank you all for coming and enjoy the scene." The Dukes ton was more of a drone than before. A curtain was pulled allowing them all into the next room. There before them lay a seemingly gruesome murder scene. A man was splayed on the dinner table (still obviously breathing) with a few spots of blood on his collar. This was marked, "Murder scene" by a bit of tape around the table. Snow walked in line behind several other people, examining the 'body.' There was quite a bit of fake blood decorating the man's collar, and more than a little on the napkin he clutched in his hand. She wondered just how close they were allowed to go in order to find these clues.

"Shall we split up to look again, or can I trust either of you on your own?" She was only partially joking. She lifted a brow at Suijin, still ignoring Vector to the best of her ability.

Both Vector and Suijin looked to Snow's little comment. He had to admit, Suijin could see it but it didn't make it an easy pill to swallow. The two looked at one another before stopping their bickering. Suijin walked back to Snow, to join their 'happy couple' facade, and Vector to... well blow on the bubble pipe he had as he followed them, leaving a trail of soap bubbles.

The festivities started as the Duke, who was rather giddy to get things started as they entered the new room. Of course the man on the floor was not really dead. Suijin entertained the idea to kick him just to 'make sure'. "Who would believe this?" Suijin scoffed to Snow as they began to search around sticking together.

Vector, sly crocodile, decided to get into his role of a private eye and began looking around using his mini magnifying glass. He began to investigate the room, and the others notice him, finding him cute as the crocodile began his 'search'.

Suijin soon spotted something interesting. A small letter opener hidden between books on the third floor of a bookshelf nearby. It was hidden just lightly as passed by. He nudged SNow, gesturing the item to her. They did need to solve this game as well as the other challenges. WIth his gesture, he asked her to point it out as he continued to look over the room, as well as the other guests began searching as well.

Snow had to admit she was impressed with the quick finding of the clue Suijin pointed out. She wasn't sure if they were meant to collect them, or if they were only supposed to stand guard over them."What have you found Miss?" There seemed to be a butler of sorts making a record. "This." She pointed out the object in question and the butler made a quick note. She moved on, looking around the room for anything else of interest. The man followed her, paying attention but keeping his distance so that the other guests didn't notice. Tucked under the body of the man in question was a letter. She read what she could of it, though part of it was obscured by "blood."

"How could you? After all I have done for your family, how could you be so simple as to think.I would just let this go?" She could read no more, but pointed it out to the butler again and he made a small note. They were just one clue away already from the second floor, and Snow sought out Suijin to tell him so. She whispered the information in his ear, and also pointed out the man that was set to tail them. She supposed this would be another complication to take care of before they could complete their main objective, which was stealing the treasure so closely guarded on the third floor.

More loudly, though not much, she said "Darling, why don't we let little Vector look? He's just dying to help, I can tell." She hadn't been monitoring the creature as closely as she should have, and he was now drawing a crowd all his own. People who were enchanted with a talking creature of any kind. He heard her though, and gave her a small wink. She gave one of her more deadly smiles in return. "But really, one more clue and we can move on. I think when we make it to the second floor, it should only take a small distraction for me to slip passed that guy." She nodded discreetly to the butler. "I can go after the thing we need more quietly than either of you. Sound like a plan?" She held on to his arm, for all the world looking the part of doting wife while inside she was just hoping she wouldn't have to cause a scene of her own if he disagreed.

The man behind him was starting to concern Suijin. It was strange this staff member was keeping an eye on them recording ther movements. Had it been anyone else, anywhere else, Suijin would of clocked the guy right in the jaw. Still, this was a classy place so he knew to behave himself. Still, should behind close doors, he would happily punch him for this annoying behavior.

Snow's idea made sense so he nodded to her. "Sounds good. Splitting up isn't too bad for now. We can cover more clues," he said secretively a bit close to Snow just to act romantic with her. To make it more convincing, he leaned in close and gave her a kiss on the cheek, lasting a second or two. With that, he stepped away and went to get Vector, and see if they could loose the annoying man behind them.

The crowd around Vector was growing as now the crocodile with his film noir getup. The crocodile was looking over the downed man. He clearly was putting up a good act. The crocodile was openly poking it with the end of a stick, and clearly you could see the irritation showing on the man's face. It was amusing in a sense.

"Was he married?" Vector asked rhetorically, using his magnifying glass over the body spotting the same letter. “Yeah, with ten thousand insurance, no children, and a wife that hated him.” The croud chuckled as he continued to look over, till he saw Suijin's sandaled feet cross the path of his spy glass.

"Find anything Sherlock?" Suijin mocked the little crocodile. Vector took the spyglass to look up at Suijin, not looking too surprised to see his friend being sarcastic.

Vector grinned and his eyes looked bigger behind the glass. "Elementary, my dear Suijin," he bragged about as he then took another blow of his bubble pipe, a few bubbles popping in Suijin's face. "Clearly the man was murdered for personal reasons. The dagger you found is all the proof to identify how he died. We just need to find more clues to see who did it."

With that they could go to the next room, leading to the conservatory The green house was lit now it was dark outside with plants and a fountain in the center with a freaky statue spouting water. On the ground were white footprints. Clearly made to show where the man had been. He had came from this room.

Vector followed the footprints intently, his nose to the stone as he walked, Causing Suijin to roll his eyes while the other party guests found it adorable.

Snow did her best not to make a face when Suijin missed her cheek. She may have managed to blush just a bit though. She wasn't so used to human contact yet that it still didn't manage to startle her from time to time. She gave a polite smile at his words though, and only the slightest of nods. She was rather proud of Vector for actually managing to find the third necessary clue. That was three in their teams favor, and according to the rules of this little game, there was a good chance they could win, assuming they found two more in the next room. The Duke himself looked less than pleased by the way the game was going, though he sipped champagne and acted the part. She could see the anger in his eyes. The butler that seemed to be tailing the tree of them looked extremely uncertain as the group spilt up again. It was obvious to Snow he couldn't decide which of them he wanted to follow.

He ended up picking Suijin, which made her smile. She knew if the man ended up alone with Suijin, he would be hurting. As for herself, she had only a small knife strapped to the inside of her thigh, but she was certain she could use it fairly well at close range. The majority of the crowd being distracted by Vector and his antics, she thought she might take the opportunity to to have a look around elsewhere in the house. Instead of trying to sneak away, she gave herself a useful excuse.

"Excuse me my Lord Duke, but might I inquire as to where the nearest ladies room is?" He gave her an appraising glance, and she did her best to not roll her eyes. She really just wanted to punch him. "Just through that door M'lady." He even gave her a little bow. She followed his pointing finger through a small side door, and once there she found herself in a long hallway. She wondered if he did this to women often, as part of his plan for 'seducing' them. Still, she figured she could use it to her advantage.

She made her way down the hall calmly and carefully, opening doors onto rooms which see me to have little to no practical purpose beyond holding furniture, like couches and chairs, and one small room which seemed to have been set aside just for useful things, like tape, brooms mops, and ladders. There was even a bit of rope in one corner. She marked its location for later. As she was beginning to back away, she felt someone's hand on her shoulder. She turned quickly and smiled at the butler who had managed to find her here. "I'm so sorry. I was looking for the ladies room and I got lost." She gave a small smile. She felt certain that it would work. Until the last minute when he shook his head. "You passed that three doors back miss. Don't try lying to me."

When he pressed in closer she felt sure he just thought she was being nosy. But of course, she couldn't risk a report of even that getting back to the Duke before their job was through. "Just give me a small prize, and there won't be any harm done." Snow backed into the closet slowly, on hand tugging at her skirt. He see me to think she was agreeing with him, but in fact she had found the handle of the small knife and had pulled it slowly. She turned her hand up, so that the flat of the blade was against her wrist. The butler moved forward a bit more, and when he was writhing reaching distance she flicked the knife forward.

"With a flick of my wrist," she whispered coldly, as the knife came into contact with some of the butlers more ... tender parts. "I can change your religion." Such was the change of her tone, that he didn't think to doubt her. Reaching behind her she found a can of ... well something heavy, and knocked him over the head with it. After that it was a simple matter to tie him securely and tape his mouth and leave him in the closet. She went back to the party and found Suijin. "Well the butler is out of commission, but I didn't find anything of great interest just yet. You?"

Meanwhile, Vector was investigating another part of the conservatory, soon founding a paculiar object among the water fountain. "Aha!" he exclaimed as he reached into the water and found an object on a chain. It was a locket, and a well decorated too. "Aha! Looks like I was right! It is a woman culprit. Ladies and gentlemen, we are one step closer to finding the killer!" he said proudly.

Suijin just shook his head, finding Vector's antics amusing this time around. Normally he was just a pain but here he seemed to be doing a good job. He probably owed the crocodile a sizable share this time.

It seems solving the mystery was becoming easier, and now what was the big thing was to steal some of the extra goods around the house. At this time, Suijin saw SNow's return and got close to her to whisper to her. "Anything new?" he asked, still keeping the illusion going they were a couple.

As the servant jotted down about the locket, other members of the party were looking around. One of them found a wallet, belonging to the victim-- empty naturally. The pieces were coming together well. With that, they all began making their way towards the stairs leading to an upstairs hallway and following the ropes led to a library, which was pretty big and contained many books.

Suijin and the others followed them, as Vector trailed behind Snow and him, puffing away at his bubble pipe with a little trail.

Snow had her hand on Suijins arm again as the ascended the stairs. She spoke to him quietly as the majority of the guests made their way up with Vector. "It was nothing much really. I found a few empty storage rooms, and had a small scuffle with some of the hired help. I think our best bet will be to move on from this next room, if we can, and see if we can find something...for a keepsake." She still guarded her language, cautious lest someone should over hear them. She didn't want to be the cause of the mission becoming a failure. At this point though it seemed a safe bet to her that they were well on their way to winning the 'game.'

When they entered the library she had a moment of genuine wonder, since she had an ongoing love affair with the written word. Then her normal senses kicked in and she looked around, trying to find anything that might be advantageous to them in any way. In one corner sat a group of actors, most of them feigning distress over the dead man downstairs. She herself would have been far better than they, so she had a moment of mirth at their expense. Poor souls couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. She moved around the room on Suijins arm, listening politely as the actors went through their rehearsed lines a few times. She motioned to Vector, who indeed was trailing a bit of bubbles with him wherever he went like a child's toy train.

The women and one man in the group of actors were sobbing uncontrollably (sort of) and going on and on about how good and kind the man was, until they switched to talking about his personal life and business practices. Snow tugged on Suijins arm, having spotted something more suited to their needs while Vector watched intently and made conjectures, still entertaining the crowd. There was a small covered alcove on the far side of the library, perfect for two lovebirds to have a tryst. Or so it would seem to most. Once behind the red velvet curtain she moved forward, pressing books at random. "Normally places like this have at least one secret entrance. If I can find one, I might need you to guard the passageway while I go try to claim our prize." She smiled at him over her shoulder, her hand hitting a rather thick volume of dull poetry which pushed in farther than necessary. She heard the click of a latch and a small creak sounded as the door swung open.

"You can come upstairs with me, or you can stay and guard the passageway until I return. Whichever is fine with me. Though, we have been putting on enough of a show I don't think they will expect us back immediately." She gave him a smile and a little wink. No harm in being a little more friendly she supposed.

The actors were a joke indeed, but he still kept word to what was going on. Suijin saw them and could already guess who among them was the likely suspect. To their credit it was a good thing that there were two women there to play the role of suspects. It was leaning that way. Vector was more enthralled as he slowly used his magnifying glass to look around the three actors-- to which they both looked bother by his nosy presence.

Meanwhile Suijin kept guard to the path where Snow had went. He kept his back to the now opened passage way. He was curious and would of wanted to go up there himself. He was sure she would find some good treasures and valuables up there. Still, he also had to keep their cover so for now it was best to just play defensive and keep her safe assuming no one was up where she was heading.

For now he watched as Vector inspected the testimonies of the actors and used his spyglass around the room. "Hmm As I suspected... this case is nearing its end," the little guy said as he paced around the room. Funny enough the duke himself was now more irritated by the crocodile, and in response, to Suijin for being associated with the guy. "There were many clues here, BUT one sticks out most of all upon the man who was murdered. All the evidence points to a female assailant, but which one... I have found evidence to point out the killer." He then waddled up to the actors present, looking them over.

Suijin looked over the suspects and kept the clues Vector pointed out in mind. In the end he could probably 'sniff out' the purp but that probably wasn't the case. After all, it was just a game. NO one really killed anyone.

Snow made her way carefully up the stairs, testing each one individually before moving on. She was very much against drawing attention of any kind. As she reached the top of the landing, however, she heard people speaking. It took her a moment or two to realize, they were actually in a bathroom speaking together, and she was concealed behind a wall. There was a hole or three drilled in, and she gave a shudder, thinking what the Duke might be using these rooms for. She wanted very much to yell at the perverted bastards, but she would refrain for the day. "He's setting it up so that it looks like the wife did it I think. But honestly, it's the butler. He even framed the lady. If they manage to find the correct letter in the library, maybe someone will take the cup from the cheating man this time." The speaker was female, and though Snow couldn't see her face (since she refused to peep at people bathing), she was appreciative of the information just the same.

She went quickly back down the landing, tripping a bit over the bottom stair and landing with her hands on Suijins arms. She quickly shut the little trap door, and leaned in close. "No treasures, but I got.information. There's another clue in here, one that will lead to solving the mystery. We need to be looking for it quickly before Vector points out the wrong culprit." Her timing was as exquisite as usual, as the Duke himself suddenly thrust the curtain they had been behind back, and she found that her exertions and her proximity to Suijin actually helped make the man less suspicious. The Duke gave a quick smile. "There you two are. Plenty of time for cuddling and kissing later. Come now. We've a game to play." Snow's blush was entirely real as she 're entered the room, smiling at the faces of people who found her embarrassment funny. "Apologies my Lord Duke. Vector, can I speak with you a moment?" The crocodile couldn't mistake the look she gave him, which said now far more than it said please. He came over to her quickly, as the Duke moved away. She leaned down and whispered her information into his ear.

She gave a grin as the croc nodded, seeming to understand what she was saying. She moved back towards Suijin, smiling. "There now. Your little detective can hunt up that other clue. I think you and I need to be hunting for something worth keeping."
