Fairy Tail Guild RP Current News

Hey everyone, it's me, your Lord and Savior, your Once and Future King, and your new Admin-for-Life Unlimit Sendo. I'm here to drop some turnbuckle-diving elbows and awesome news. There's been some relatively small updates to rulings regarding summon familiars and single summons. Additionally, there's also been a pretty big update in regards to the AP shop which reorganizes it and adds a ton of new stuff. You can find that in the AP Shop section under Item Creation. Check it out.

Blitz looked thoughtful for a moment. "Then it's rather odd that they'd target you specifically, out of everyone in the town. Maybe they're part of a local gang, and could tell that you were fairly new to the neighborhood?" he said.

As he spoke, the girl he's sensed earlier decided to come out of hiding. It turned out to be a small, red-haired girl. Her eyes spoke of a hint of attitude, though. She had come out when Blitz had called her, but he felt it would be a bit of an uphill battle if he tried to give her more instructions.

"I think that might be the first and last bit of cooperation we see from her if we don't phrase things a little nicer in the future," Blitz thought to Morgan and Shoop using Morgan's Telepathy. "She's got the look of being stubborn when she wants to be."

Shoop resisted the urge to laugh. "Oh, like you're one to talk," he countered. "You're as stubborn as mages can get." Blitz scoffed internally. "I can be agreeable when I want to be," he grumbled. "Last time you fought a mage whose magic was like your own, you refused to back down from their attack to the point where you ignored their fire-blast and body-slammed them THROUGH the flames." Shoop countered back with. "....Okay, point taken," Blitz admitted mentally.

"Nice to meet you, Tina," Blitz said aloud, briefly lifting his hat as a form of greeting before setting it back down upon his head. "While the threat is gone, I do appreciate the intention to assist."

Blitz sighed internally as the ex-quip teen made the same mistake he nearly had - trying to be strict with the newcomer. Blitz couldn't entirely blame him, though - not after being attacked by three strangers that could phrase through weapons and discovering two more people had been following him. Besides, waving a weapon in the face of an enemy or person who could become an enemy seemed to be something of a staple of face-offs before or after combat at times. Just not really the best timing, as it could turn someone who wasn't an enemy into one, the newcomer perceiving the weapon taunt as a threat.

He did at least introduce himself, if mostly to Blitz. He said his name was Arthur Dory, the Spear-Exquip user from Hargeon, and revealed that he had heard about Blitz himself, though not all his facts were correct. Blitz sighed. "Most of that was right, though I'm only about 7 feet tall if you count the hat," he said, pointing a finger at Shoop, "And I haven't hung around at the guild hall in months, but I clearly need to make a visit if people think my last name is 'Raffen' instead of 'Ranfen'."

"It's not a terrible name," Morgan said, floating over Blitz's left shoulder as a baseball-sized orb of light, pulsing slightly with each syllable. He was often a bit more passive of the three. Whereas Shoop was as arrogant - if not moreso - than Blitz himself, Morgan was an intellectual at his core, quite literally. "The word 'raffen' does have a few meanings in other languages, you know." Blitz sighed, shooting a look at Morgan. "Perhaps, but in our language, 'Raffen' makes me sound like a lottery ticket, so I think I'll give it a pass and stick with 'Ranfen', since I was born with it and rather like it." "As you wish, Master Blitz," Morgan said with a slight pulse of light.

Arthur interrupted what could have been a slightly longer, if rather minor, argument by asking Blitz if he'd seen anyone else suspicious in the area recently. "Admittedly, no, I didn't notice anyone else, or rather, once I saw three hooded figures chasing one person into dark alleys, I figured it didn't get more suspicious than that, and my attention was focused there instead of elsewhere. But this is the first I've heard of you investigating missing people," Blitz said, sitting upright, hands hanging lightly over his knees. "Granted, you've certainly come to the right place to do it, as no city has more disappearances on a regular basis than this one," Blitz mused, rubbing his chin slightly in thought, "But this isn't the type of place where families get together and search if someone disappears."

"Indeed," Morgan added, "The social connections here are frail at best, non-existent at worst. I would wager to guess that some disappearances are deliberately caused by some for the sake of profit or revenge for prior acts like theft, or perhaps even out of spite. Quite a depressing zone, to be sure."

Blitz she has heard that name before. It had been a long time since she used to pay attention to the new and upcoming mages. So she hadn't really learned about his rep. It was around the build hall that she had heard about him. Though from what she could remember he was the kind of person who was always too reckless and would push through which got him his injuries.

Though for the years she had been with the guild she had never seen him before. Even though Tina was off a lot she had met most of the higher ranking mages. So this was going to be interesting.

On the other hand Mew was not caring one bit about what was going on. She was safely snug in her bag just waiting for something new to happen.

"Why would I attack you? That would be bad on the name of my guild. I have more respect then that."
It was a weird reply and even though she understood the situation it was not something she knew how to handle. Tina was not used to being thought of as a threat.

"Also hello Blitz is it nice to finally put a face to all the rumors. It is long over due meeting for two guild members to meet." She was wondering if she would have to verify this. Tina has had to deal with that plenty of times but she has expected it by now. It had almost made her regret where she put her tattoo and thought maybe she should get another or move it if it were all possible.

" Uhm sorry for messing up your name? And what guild's name would you be ruining?"

Arthur knew little about the girl who had appeared seemingly out of shadows. He did believe her, but if she didn't do it then it begs the question, who or what had targeted him, and why.

"Well this is my first time in the dandelion sector so that might not be far from true, and I would believe it if not for what I'm investigating, it seems like the closer I get to the truth the more desperate who ever is attempting to stop me, on my way yo the Dandelion Sector the garages wheel came loose and I was almost dumped off a cliff"

Arthur turned his head every so often and made eye contact with Blitz and Tia.

"In conclusion, I've made a enemy of someone be a use of my investigation into the disappearing people"

Arthur finished and waited for Blitz or Tia to respond. He wasn't worried, he couldn't control it so why bother, he'd just have to hope that he could keep up this streak of luck he has had so far during the inveigation. First he narrowly survived the carriage, then he was saved by Blitz, with this re order Arthur half expected the culprit to turn him self in. The knights were no help either, they did t even know that people were going missing until.Arthur asked about it. Arthur had started this quest because he had found some poor lady crying, when he asked her what was wrong she said 'they took him from me, I should of give self to them' and then she collapsed from what the doctor concluded to be stress. So who ever these people were they obviously didn't play nice.

Apparently Tina had the wrong idea from Blitz's words. Blitz shook his head. "You misunderstand, miss. I know you have no harmful intentions towards myself or Arthur, the 'threat' I was referring to was the trio I sent flying off in that direction," he said, pointing in the direction the robed figures had been sent sailing in. "I know a fellow Fairy Tail member would never attack another member like that. I know I've been out of touch with the guild as a whole for awhile, but give me some credit," he added with a chuckle.

"You are right, though. Meetings shouldn't be held off if they can be put to rest bright and early." Blitz set his hands on the edge of the roof's gutter, hurling himself into the air before soaring straight down, landing nimbly on both feet, a faint swirl of dust whisking along the ground a short distance from the air displacement. Blitz walked over and held his hand out to the lady. "Blitz Ranfen, miss. A pleasure."

Blitz turned back to the ex-quip teen as the lad attempted an apology, Blitz casually waving it aside. "Nah, it's alright. Not many people forget my name, but I'm not fussed enough about it to make a real issue of it."

Arthur went on to explain that it wasn't the first time he'd been targeted as a part of some investigation that he was involved in. "I'm sorry, did you say your 'garage' had its wheels come loose?" Blitz asked, looking mildly perplexed. "I'm assuming you mean vehicle, as a garage with wheels seems a bit odd." Blitz paused, looking thoughtful now. "Not a bad idea for road-side assistance for plug cars and other lacrima vehicles, though, a mobile garage...." Blitz glanced at Morgan. "Keep that idea on stored for later. I might do something with that line of thought." "Idea saved to core storage, Master Blitz." Morgan quipped. Blitz nodded, turning his full attention back to Arthur.

"Well, it certainly sounds like you're in quite the fix." Blitz noted. "I'll help however I can, of course. I can't very well have people hunted down in the streets and attempted to be snuffed out. Even the Dandelion Sector, lawless as it is, has a few standards. But tell me, what is this 'investigation', and what do you know about the ones that are after you?"

So again Tina made things awkward with a guild mate, though it was better then most situations she had dealt with so she was not worrying too much about it. It could be considered understandable Tina thought, they were in the most unlawful town in Fiore or least on the outside. People having suspicions usually took place in a town like this.

What confused Tina more was how he just knew that she was part of the guild. They had never met that she could remember. Was there a time she couldn't remember? Her guild mark was covered by her clothes, though that was usually the case.

"Sorry if I was being presumptuous just this town makes people edgy."
Tina replied once she had a time to speak. Though her remark was more aimed at Arthur who never replied but she didn't feel like pressing it.

What concerned Tina or least made her curious was how Blitz knew that she was part of the same guild without seeing the mark. She was trying to hold back the question but she just couldn't so she asked in a quieter tone "Blitz have we met before? If not how do you know we are in the same guild?" It was a little concerning but it was hard to pretend to be who he was so she wasn't all to worried.

"People are missing, dissapearing and turning up again in the taiji mountains, at least according to nature spirits. As to what I know about the people who are trying to kill me there is very little to tell you that you haven't seen yourself, they are trying to kill me because of this investigation, and they are dangerous, what else is there to know?"

Arthur spoke to Blitz.

"And to answer your question yes it was a garage, I had been traveling with some old hermit who said I could go with him if I fixed his cars or something"

Arthur explained to Blitz trying to quell his confusion, and stop him from going on another sidebar conversation with his hat.

"And thanks for your offer Blitz, I accept all the help I can get, especially cause I still don't know just what I am up against, and the young lady is right this town does make people edgy, especially so when assassins are after you"

Arthur paused for a second.

"ANd on that note may I suggest we head indoors, to a bar maybe, I don't think staying out here conversing is a good idea, considering the people that are after me seem to know my every move, and Tina I don't want you caught up in this so we should try not to speak to each other, as they might think you to be an ally of mine, the last person they thought that of is dead...."

Arthur spoke everyone of his words coldly, and straight to the point, there was no point in beating around the bush, or showing unneeded emotions, it was a waste of energy. Arthur hoped his new comrade would agree to go indoors, the last thing they needed was a sniper.....

Blitz shrugged. "It's alright. Suspecting what another is up to is kinda the norm here. As for the guild thing, I don't think we've met, but I have the ability to sense certain things," Blitz said, tapping the side of his head with two fingers. "I couldn't say where it is, but one of the things I can detect is types of magic, and there's a hint of the magic used for the Fairy Tail guild marks mixed in with the presence you're giving off. I can tell that much at least, because I have the mark too, so I'm familiar with the sense of the guild mark."

Arthur, meanwhile, explained what had been going on, regarding the group that had been tailing him - apparently, people had been vanishing and turning up in the Taiji Mountain range, which was damn easy to get lost in as it was, due to the mists that eternally blanketed the area. He also confirmed that it was a mobile garage, which Blitz found interesting. As for the investigation itself, or what it was about or how he had gotten involved, he remained rather tight-lipped on the matter, saying only that he would accept Blitz's help since he himself wasn't entirely sure what he was dealing with.

He did suggest they head indoors, however, as Arthur suggested that talking to him in public and outdoors was asking to be made a target. Blitz merely scoffed. "I could say the same of the a great many creatures and people alike who thought they could fight me and win. But you've got a point, we're better off chatting somewhere less visible - I have an idea to that regard, actually."

Blitz walked with Arthur (and Tina if she chose to follow) back out of the alleyway, glancing back and forth along the street before going into a bar a few buildings down. Blitz pushed through the double doors and entered the bar proper - fairly empty. Little traffic in the afternoon, and what business there had been had been rattled by the trio chasing a boy down the street.

"Well look who strolled in," muttered the bartender behind the counter, busy wiping a smudge of the edge of a glass. "Don't know what happened outside, but I can guess you were involved if you were that close. You always get involved, somehow."

Blitz shrugged, non-apologetically. "Hey, the whole 'vigilante justice' thing doesn't have many obstacles here."

The bartender sighed irritably, pulling back the rag and using a flick of his hand to wrap it around his fingers. "You're bad for business, Ranfen. They might be wanna-be thugs, but they still pay for drinks, unlike you."

Now it was Blitz's turn to sigh with irritation. "And I told you a dozen times over, not my thing. Besides, this place is always dead this time of day, you know that better than anyone."

The bartender shook his head. "And if it hadn't been, I'd have been right mad at you for it. Can't blame 'em for steering clear of you after what you did to the last thief."

Blitz let out a scoff of annoyance. "I didn't even leave a scratch on the guy, what's the big deal?"

The bartender shot Blitz a flat look. "You flipped him into a dumpster and bent the lid shut so it wouldn't open, and it took his buddies an hour with a crowbar to get him out."

"Hey, that dumpster was empty, I checked before I hurled him in," Blitz countered. "Besides, he was trying to pick my pocket at the time, so I was understandably biased. But anyway, I need to use the backroom."

The bartender paused, then laughed as he set the glass he'd been cleaning back down on the shelf, upside-down, with a loud clink of glass on wood. "Hell must have truly frozen over, you of all people wanting to use it. Usually you're after the types who meet there, not wanting to borrow the key." The bartender fished around in his pocket for a moment, then pulled out a tarnished silver key, tossing it to Blitz, who caught it neatly from the air.

"Thanks." Blitz said, then gestured to a small staircase down the side of the counter. At the bottom, Blitz turned the key and opened the door, leading into a small room with rather luxurious furnishings, a stark contrast to the plain wood and decor outside. Once they were all inside, Blitz shut the door behind him. "A mage who owed the guy up there some favors did this for him awhile back." Blitz explained, pocketing the key. "He set it up so the room you end up in is a different one depending on which key you use, and each has its own exit back into town, though obviously in different spots."

Blitz turned to Arthur. "We won't be overheard in here, but if they saw us enter the bar, they'll think to look around. If there's anything we need to discuss, now's the time."

Well that was a neat trick. Tina was kind of jealous but it made it easier then having to show her tattoo. Though she knew it was made by magic she didn't know that it radiated magic though it made sense Tina just never thought about it. Tina was curious if there was anyone else that could do that as most that she had run into had no way of doing so.

So there was going to be danger. Tina wasn't sure she wanted to deal with that but she didn't feel like abandoning someone up to other peoples whims. Being in this city was something that bothered her, so she wanted to just get out as soon as possible.

Only issue was that she had issue leaving the ally way since there was just too many people. Following Blitz would probably be better then facing things on her own.

So before Blitz and Arthur could get too far away Tina grabbed onto Blitz's outfit and closed her eyes. This way she didn't have to think about the people that were around them.

They finally reached the bar she let go and opened her eyes. Thankfully there was no one around but she was expecting to be asked a few question from Blitz in a bit about why she did that.

Listening to the story Tina just waited. She had nothing to say and she was feeling embarrassed about all this anyways. Hopefully she wasn't needed and she would be able to go on her merry way that probably wasn't going to happen.

Blitz must of came to this city often, not only did he know where to go, he knew who to go to, a luxury Arthur often lacked. Now that they were able to talk in private it would make things easier on Arthur, from his experiences the people who were after him seemed to underestimate his abilities, but not because they were ignorant, it was more like they were studying him, trying to figure something out. But why wouldn't they just kill him? Maybe they needed to know something that he had the answer to, or maybe they just had fun toying with him, either way Arthur didn't appreciate it.

"Interesting place you've managed to find us, I'm sure it will keep us out of the enemy's eyes for now"

Arthur paused and listened for a sound, any sound.

"I'm here in the dandelion sector for one reason, to find a man who goes by the name of Goodwin, apparently he is the one who knows the most about these disappearances, he also happens to lay low in this shit hole of a city."

Arthur spoke dryley, as he always did, if Blitz or Tina had questioned his dull mannerisms they did not make it public knowledge. Arthur remembered the note he was given on how to find Goodwin, but he had no idea what it meant.

"Blitz you seem to be familiar with this city, could you tell me what this is, apparently it is from here, it was given to me as a means to find Goodwin, but I don't know what it is, or where it's from"

Arthur handed it to Blitz. It was a piece of cloth that had a strange writing that kind of looked like the beginning of a magic incantation that was never finished.

"Maybe you'll have better luck then me figuring out this cloth"

Arthur shrugged and waited for Blitz or Tina to comment on the cloth.

Blitz glanced at Tina, one eyebrow raised, when she clung to his sleeve as they walked to the tavern. "I'm guessing you're a bit shy?" Blitz asked. "The people here are generally ill-tempered, but don't worry, they know enough to keep a distance from me. As long as you stick close, you'll be alright."

Blitz chuckled. "You do enough favors in a town, you earn up enough respect to earn some favors of your own now and then. One of the perks of being well-known. This place is safe enough for the time being."

"Master Blitz," said Morgan, floating to Blitz's side, "Isn't it possible that the creatures from earlier could gain access to this room without the key via their phase shifting ability from before?"

"What, the 'pass through solid objects' thing?" Blitz asked. He looked thoughtful for a moment, then said "Possible, but this place is cut off from the outside by dimensional boundaries, not just physical barriers. Even if they can gain entrance to this room, it'll take them time to get through the barrier. And once they do, they'll still have to search the rooms to see which one we're in, since that one door links to all of them, depending on which key you're holding."

"A fair assessment." Morgan said with a slight bob of his orb-like form.

Arthur, meanwhile, began to elaborate on his situation - someone named Goodwin was his target, who had been hiding here. "He certainly picked the right place," Blitz noted. "Just about anyone can lay low here if they have low enough morals to mingle properly." Judging by Arthur's tone, he had no love lost for the Dandelion Sector, which Blitz couldn't entirely argue against - he himself had admitted that it was good for target practice, given all the low-life types.

He then handed Blitz a piece of cloth to examine, one with parts of a magical writing inscribed on it, though they were missing some pieces near the torn edge. "Looks kinda like the runes some mages use for summoning," Blitz noted. "In the general design, anyway. The style's a bit different. Might mean that it's a different type of summoning, assuming my guess is right. Either something more dated than current summoning circles, or requiring some sort of additional component in order to activate it fully. Hopefully that's not the reason for the disappearances." Blitz said, tossing the cloth back to Arthur.

Blitz turned to Tina. "This is probably going to get worse before it gets better, so I would understand if you wanted to bow out of this one." he said.
