Arthur sighed sipping his beer. He sat with his hoodie up, his MMP playing loud in his ears (magical music Player). He was in the Dandelion Sector, this place was like a dream come true. For hell spawns. Arthur was just minding his own business trying not to make a scene. Why was he there, you may ask? A lead, a lead as to what has been happening to those brave souls who ventured into Lancarri jungle, and never came out. Arthur sighed and tossed his beer bottle to the side, that kind of thing was socially acceptable here, made him blend in more. Arthur was silent as he moved down the street, he was supposed to meet somebody, somebody who would help point him in the right direction. But who was this somebody? An anonymous tip. 'great idea Dory travel all the way to gang town on a anonymous tip' Arthur thought to him self as he continued down the street. What could be going on? And why were these cloaked figures following him? He didn't know but it was creepy, they kept murmuring something about blood sacrifice. Arthur shivered, last time he ran into some thugs on the street he was blasted through a fence, and stabbed, and beaten with a bat, but you get the idea. Arthur sped up his pace and started to jog. Whoever was following him didn't try real hard to make themselves hidden. |

Blitz was lounging atop the cleanest rooftop he could find, just idly passing the time. Dandelion Sector was an interesting location, to say the least - no law enforcement to speak of, so people did as they pleased for the most part. Saying this place had society was like saying a desert had water. It might be true, but you'd have to look damn hard to find any. People weren't fond of any sort of vigilante justice here, and naturally Blitz stood out like a sore thumb in the low-level structures and people resorting to thievery to ease their lives. He wasn't bothered by anyone, if only because he had something of a reputation from being here before a few times, and he guessed the word had spread around. Last time someone here had attempted to steal his wallet, he'd bruised the man's hand without looking down. They gave him a wide berth after that. "Why you enjoy hanging out here is a bit of a mystery to me, I admit," thought Morgan to Blitz, his most recent traveling companion and addition to Blitz's arsenal of support. An Artificial Intelligence crafted by Blitz with a combination of magic and technology, though he had no body in the usual sense, but instead spent his time as a floating orb of light over Blitz's shoulder, giving advice or support as needed. "He has a point," thought Shoop, his talking hat, the first of his companions to be forged from magic. "Not exactly a tourist hotspot, and any technology or magic worth gathering here has probably long-since been looted and sold off to other parties." Blitz shrugged. "True, but I'm not here to collect anything, just hang out for a bit. An observer of sorts. They won't bother me because they've heard of what happens to those who tried, and I won't bother them because I'm respectful enough to at least keep my distance unless something worth jumping in on pops up." There was some activity off the norm today, though. A teen in clothing a little cleaner than most who lived here was listening to a device that went over his ears. More to the point were the three guys clearly tailing him. People following a potential target wasn't rare here, but usually they were most subtle about it. Either these three cloaked goons were new to this, or there was something more to this, or this was important enough to them that they had forgone any attempts at being truly stealthy. "Now there's something worth jumping in on," Blitz thought, getting to his feet and dusting the back of his jacket off. "That teen looks nervous - guess he's noticed he's got company." noted Morgan to the two of them. "Should we blast 'em from here?" Shoop thought, peering at the cloaked trio. "We're well within range, and the guy clearly doesn't like his tailgaters." "Let's follow for a short distance, see what's going on, then jump in if the kid looks like he's in danger." Blitz began jogging along the rooftops, leaping from one to another, keeping a rough pace with the ones down below, seeing how this would unfold. |

After leaving her companions from before Tina was now having to deal with Dandelion Sector. Good thing she had mew with her though. Although that was only going to last her so long, she was going to have to think of a better idea. Even if she was stronger then some of these thugs even the weakest of the ones were willing to take her on because she looked like a little girl to them. Before Tina had left she had changed into a new outfit. This one was had a blue shirt and black skirt, her hair turned back to red. Cloak draping down over her clothing and her weapon. Her hair was still standing out but the rest of her was covered. It was the best she could do with the things she had. Her bag was also hidden underneath the cloak which held Mew. To avoid confrontation Mew was scanning the area to let Tina know the best places to avoid. This was her measure to keep herself out of trouble for least a little while. Though she wasn't planning on being here for long but since it was such an outlawed focus place she had trouble working her way through the town. She was wishing that she had went around the town instead of back through it but there was nothing she could do about that now. After a bit though Mew noted something strange. 'Tina there are a few guys targeting that boy over there.' Tina then turned knowing from the image Mew gave. 'Yeah I hope he is okay but it isn't really our place to intervene it isn't like they have done anything.' That is when something above Tina caught her eye. Someone was jumping across the buildings. Though she didn't want to get involved she was now curious of how things were going to play out. 'Guess we can least monitor and if we have to intervene we can.' This was not something Mew wanted to hear but it was her own fault for bring up the trouble. There was no way she was going to get Tina to back down so Tina followed the cloaked figures in the shadows as well as she could anyways. Hiding in a city wasn't the same as hiding in the forest but least it helped. |

Aw great. Dead end. Just Arthur's luck, Arthur sighed in irritation. He wasn't looking forward to getting blasted through another gate, or getting beaten half to death (again). Arthur turned around and unplugged his earphones and stuffed them into his pocket. His hood fell showing his chocolate brown hair. "You know, when you want someone for a blood sacrifice it probably be easier to sneak up on them" Arthur said apathetically. Arthur raised his right hand as if grabbing at something below his waste, and in a flash of white light a spear appeared. It was an 8ft long white and yellow spear, the blade was bright yellow, the shaft was white. Arthur spun it around his body using both of his hands, then lowered his stance, the spear behind his back, the point at one end, the shaft on the other. It was held up by one hand while he kept the other hand raised prepared to block something. Arthur waited in silence for his pursuers to attack, for awhile they just sat there looking at him making, weird hissing noises. Until finally they shot forward as if their batteries had been recharged. Arthur was prepared for thugs, how ever what he got were flying shadows. The first shadow reached him and Arthur examined his face, they had glowing red eyes, and huge scary sharp white teeth, their skin was always changing for as if the shadows were trying to escape some sort of glass jar. Arthur reacted quickly, using the spears shaft to send the tip flying at the shadow, by pushing it against his hip, it gave him the momentum needed to strike the shadow. The spear passed through the shadow like nothing was there. "Shit" Arthur thought to himself as the shadows hand became sharp and was pointed right at his heart. Arthur didn't have time to react, all he could do was stand there and watch as the hand got closer to his heart in slow motion. He needed a miracle. |

Blitz tailed the teen as he was chased by the hooded figures through Dandelion Sector's dirt streets, eventually making a wrong turn and ending up at a dead end. The teen turned to face his pursuers, tossing back his hood and what appeared to be a set of earphones. Then, to Blitz's surprise, he manifested a spear with lightning decor out the air. An Ex-quip mage like Larkin, Blitz thought, mildly interested. Interesting to see a weapon user type besides one with swords. He seemed ready to fight, but when he swung his spear at the first hooded figure, it seemed to pass right through him without slowing him down. Looks like they're intangible to normal physical attacks, Blitz thought. How about something with a little magical might behind it? Just as the hand was about to reach Arthur's heart, a thin wall of metal slammed down between Arthur and the shadow - a thin wall revealed to be part of a three-pronged claw that snatched up all three of the shadows, raising into the air on a long chain of shrapnel, attached to a crane of shrapnel perched off the side of a nearby roof. Once halfway up, the crane swung to one side, swinging the shadows below, then sharply in the other direction, the claw releasing its grip on the hooded trio as it did so, flinging them what must have been over halfway across the town in the time it took to breathe. The crane's job done, the entire thing, claw and all, vanished, as if it had never been. Blitz walked to the roof's edge, perched on the gutter with his hands in his pockets. "You alright, kid?" he said to the ex-quip teen. |

It was right to assume that there was danger. Though a few things happened that Tina didn't expect. First was the shadow figures. That seemed to be immune to physical attacks. She was wondering if they were humans who could transform into elements like she could or if there was a puppeteer that was controlling the shadow beings. Next thing she didn't expect the man from before that was on the roof tops to intervene. Tina's hands were on her swords underneath her cloak as she was about to pull out her swords to help. Before she knew it though the creatures were defeated. Now Tina was staring at the two from outside the ally way.. It wasn't common for people to help here so she didn't want to give them the wrong impression that she was with those things or just trying to take advantage of the situation. Her eyes were more focused on their presence then it was who they were. Though she had never met Blitz formally he wasn't a forgettable man who walked around their guild. Meanwhile was monitoring the area to make sure nothing was fishy but it was like finding a certain fish in the pile of fish since everyone was planning something in this town or least that was how it seemed. |

Arthur was prepared to die, but strange shit happened. A wall of metal stopped the shade from getting to Arthur, and then was thrown by a, was that a claw? Arthur looked up and saw a man with a top hat and metal arm. "You alright kid" The man said looking at him from atop a roof. "I'm fine, thanks to you" Arthur said a little loudly so that the man could hear him. Arthur continued to study the man as he thought about the shades. They had something about a blood sacrifice, sacrifice to/for what? "You have any idea why those things were after me? They mentioned something about a blood sacrifice, so my guess would be a cult of some sort, and they were obviously magical. Maybe summons?" Arthur speculated, half to him self half to the top hat man. If only he had some answers, did it have something to do with what he was searching for? |

Blitz nodded. "You're welcome. No need to shout, though, I've got pretty good hearing." he said, his gaze flickering briefly to the end of the alleyway near where Tina was secluded, before switching quickly back to the Ex-quip teen. The teen asked a question or two of Blitz, who looked surprised for a moment, then let out a chuckle. "I think you're misunderstanding as to why I stepped in," Blitz said, moving to sit down on the roof's edge, his legs hanging over the side, as Blitz removed his hands from his pockets and linked them together idly. "I didn't test my throwing arm with those three because I had some grudge against them, or knowledge of some big plan of theirs I felt the need to stop - I just visit Dandelion Sector because hunting criminals and bad guys here is easy - just pick a spell and let fly. This place is crawling crime and hidden agendas." "Basically, kid," Shoop, the talking hat atop his head, said with a grin, "Blitz comes here for target practice when he's bored, because there are more criminals here than you can count, and they know him well enough in this area to not to piss him off." "You mentioned blood sacrifice, though," Blitz continued, ignoring Shoop's small quip at Blitz's expense, "That begs the question, then - anything special about your blood, then? Related to anyone famous, or of royalty? Perhaps you wield some kind of unique magic they seek to possess or use as a medium for something? Spear Ex-quip, though, if I had to guess, by what I saw just before I stepped in." During his little questionaire directed at the Ex-quip teenager, Morgan sent a mental communication to Blitz, the orb of light floating gently over Blitz's left shoulder. "You did notice there's a fourth one following, Master Blitz?" "Indeed," Blitz replied back with a thought, "But I don't think they're with the hooded trio from before." "What makes you so sure, sir?" Morgan mentally asked. "Well, they're actually being somewhat subtle, for one." Blitz thought, resisting the urge to roll his eyes. "Besides, I can faintly sense our guild mark's magic emitting faintly from her person. They must be a new recruit, as the sensation of this magical type isn't ringing any bells." "Good to know we didn't miss one, then." noted Morgan with satisfaction. "Still, better to have them step out and introduce themselves," Blitz thought back. "Maybe it would help them if we broke the ice on this one first." Blitz glanced over at where he sensed the other magical signature. "You can come out if you want - the baddies are gone, so there's nothing to worry about." Edited by Balmung6, Jun 27 2014, 05:09 PM.

Well it seemed that Tina wasn't needed. Which was a relief for Mew she didn't like getting into other peoples business anyways. So Tina was about to go as the person who rescued the one boy who was being attacked called out to her. Not sure she really wanted to get into this or not. His words kind of annoyed Tina. It wasn't like she was hiding from the creatures she was trying to sneak up on them but there was no way she was going to be able to explain that. Least he wasn't hostile. Putting her sword away, she noticed that people were starting to flood the streets behind Tina. This would be a good get away for the summoner but what bothered Tina about it she had a fear of crowds. So she decided that introducing herself would be better. "Um, Hello. My name is Tina. I saw the commotion and wanted to see if I could be some help but it seems you got it taken care of." Though what were those things? Tina was trying to figure out but she was assuming they had a master. Where could that person be? Though by being a summoner they probably relied on the summons to attack so when they got taken care of they are now being cautious but Tina felt like they were being watched. What reason though? Why this boy? |

" There's nothing special about my blood, at least nothing I know about" Arthur said to the man and the talking hat. The man was really observant and was on the money with his magic guess, good thing he was on his side. "And yea that's my magic, boring old exquip but with spears" Arthur said to the man who had the mechanical arm. Then a girl stepped out from what ever corner she was hiding in. She introduced her self as Tina, she was an innocent bystander if her story checked out, but giving the setting she could be the one behind those shades, or she could just be some other criminal, after all this was their home town. "Uh hi there Tina, you aren't going to try and attack me or anything, right?Cause that would be bad, and a pain in my ass" Arthur said dully twirling his spear some more. "Oh I almost forgot, I am Arthur Dory, the nobody from Hargeon, and I take it you" Arthur said the last bit pointing at Blitz "Are Blitz Raffen of Fairy Tail, your reputation proceeds you, of course the reputation also said you were 10ft tall and a onster of a man, but it also mentioned a talking hat and mechanical arm" Arthur said his voice still void of emotion, He was sure Blitz didn't want a fan boy drooling over him, and Arthur didn't want to be a fan boy for anybody, after all celebrities were people to. "More to the point, since you are ever so observant, you didn't happen to notice anyone else around did you? Maybe the summoner or master of the shades who could tell me why I was attacked, all though I have a fairly good hunch that it was because of my investigation into the missing people, which you wouldn't happen to know anything about, now would you?" Arthur said a little interest in his voice, that question was directed at both Tina and Blitz (and his hat if he counts) Arthur had been led to the dandelion sector on this investigation, maybe people didn't like the fact that he was snooping around. |
