FTG style!
Yup, like the name says I am wanting to do a dark souls story; I'm planning to use FTG people in place of character as I'm lazy and can't be bothered to come up with any real characters.
HOWEVER, a few things to remember:
- One: The main character, who is currently undecided, shall have two constant partners who show up every now and then but the main character will most likely be me so shameless self insert awaaaaaaaaaaay.
- Other characters will most likely be merchant, blacksmiths, bosses, temporary summons and invaders so yeah. Note, some bosses are not human so do keep that in mind of you wish to be a boss. And feel free to make suggestions for what type of boss, blacksmith, merchant, person you want to be. Merchants also include people who teach magic and other such things.
- Finally, if you do decide on what type of boss, merchant, so on so forth you want to be and don't have a personal preference for an area, I will make that choice and list all the information out here along with chapters in spoiler tags to follow after this post.
- I will also update this original post with information about what you'll be playing as a character role, so remember to check in case there is something you're not happy with, as any changes I've written about inside of the chapters are final meaning, if I write a whole paragraph with one person being a merchant then I won't be changing.
- Tying in with the above rule, for those of you who have picked out a character role I will decide a suitable personalty and history to reflect your role; of course a rough outline of your history/personalty will be here.
- Finally, there is a limit to the total number of characters, I am thinking twenty five to thirty currently to cover all bosses and other people such as merchants, summons and the like.
Characters and roles
- Me, cowardly main character
- Marcat/Marcoos/Marbro: archer and former hunter of the undead, now afflicted with the same curse as what he hunted. Imprisoned at the huntsmen copse.
- Inara/Owly: Either a giant owl boss, or some sort of twisted amalgamation between an owl and a human; ether way giant boss. XD
- Gale: Mercenary assassin and fully certified pastry chief.
- Fae, travelling female warrior. And very very attractive. A hex using witch. Reoccurring antagonist
- Pages: Partner to Fae, and equally attractive. Ninja/stealth based. Reoccurring antagonist.
- Train, assists the main character travelling from one area to another BY DRIVING A MAGICALLY POWERED CHOO CHOO TRAIN OF AWESOME.
- Static: Former Black knight with the power of miracles; one who betrayed his lord, fled from his duties and then went rouge using his skill with a black katana to find work. Located at the Lost Bastille and is the final area boss; he is also the height/size of one of the actual black knights from DS1.
- Anta: Giant monstrous horrific undead goat demon, as a boss.
- Drame: Vodooo guy, shows up at random times giving out free trinkets, also sells magical spells as I can't think of anyone else for that role. Possible summon too, only for his own whimsical amusement. Called Alastor.
- Grandma Edith: a blacksmith who is a fan of baking cookies, cats, muffins and little children and I mean she likes these things, not that she bakes them...except the cookies and muffins.

Chapters
chapter one: The thing about memories.
The thing about memories was that you only ever missed them after they where gone. One tended to find there memories and the emotions attached to them many things, happy, sad, frustrating or at least, the young looking undead inside of this forgotten fortress did. This undead, who as of yet does not remember his own name, may only look to be a young adult but I assure you, he has been afflicted with this curse for many a good year. In all that time he had not "died" due to equal parts skill with steel, and equal parts cowardliness. Let us move on though, across many days had this one undead battled the threats before him, eventually making his way to this moon shrouded prison of a castle, which was where he forcibly joined the other tenants in there imprisonment.
That was......many days ago coming to a week, or at least the undead thought it was but as all thoughts afflicted by this curse know memories begin to fade over the years. However, despite his fading memories the undead in his cell remembered his purpose, he had come to this of Drangleic seeking power. Why did he seek power you ask? Well, in his home land concepts such as bravery and honour where praised more than skill, so regardless of how skilful this undead became, his fellows always spat upon him. And yes, many of the "famous brave warriors" in this undead's homeland where posthumously given praise and fame, bravery did carry certain risks after all.
With this background and the customs of his land in mind, when this undead discovered he was afflicted with the curse, it gave him the confidence to leave his home, travel to Drangleic, prove himself and return. Ah yes..confidence, the thing this undead sought so obsessively; how the curse granted him some degree of confidence was that it removed, or at least put the risk of death at bay and with that in mind, our undead friend here feared death less than he did before. Sadly, that had come to ruin as when our undead, who was named Andrew, travelled to this moon coated Bastille he had become imprisoned. Wait..Adrew? Ahahhaa, it seems that despite being imprisoned something good had occurred, after all the undead just remembered his name which gave him the strength of will to stand back up and find an escape from his cell.
Despite this new source of resolve there was still the physical issue of actually being locked inside of this cage, after all you didn't leave prisoners with an unlocked cage or the key did you? However, the owners of a two sets of feet walking down the hallway may or may not spell freedom for our rather cowardly protagonist. Out of the darkness there came two women, the second of the two being less conspicuous than the first which was not that hard, after all the first of the two may has well been naked for all she was wearing. Starting from this women's short black hair, her outfit's most interesting element happened to be her head dress; the large object comprised of many numerous black feathers with a hood protecting this woman's hair from the elements. Apart from that, all this woman had for clothing was fish net leggings and rather strange leather like objects protecting her dignity, with of course a bulky looking skirt comprised of wings.
Behind this rather exposed, clothing wise, women there was another, but due to the darkness of the hallway and how this second women was sticking to the shadows Andrew wasn't able to make out any details, which didn't matter as the female with the fan spoke up. "Hmm..another foul undead...locked away like the rest......" and with a sly smirk this black wearing female, whose name as of yet was unknown, reached forward and placed her hand on the cells lock, blasting it about with a dark coloured energy. Once she had done this, the women left, continuing down the hallway, with the second one following behind her exposing only her short brown hair and equally bizarre dress sense. Honestly, while it was rather strange to be freed from your cell by a women for no reason, who then left just as swiftly as she arrived, our not so courageous main character really didn't care; he was free from that cell and that was all he really cared about honestly.
Anyway, despite the strangeness of how his freedom came around our dear protagonist stood up, collecting the weapons that he had been locked in with, making sure he had a proper grip of the large sword and rounded metal shield, dropping them could mean the difference between life and death after all. Moving on, our undead protagonist stretched, slung his sword over his shoulder and began walking out of his cell down the hallway, following in the same direction as his benefactor. Being the curious being he was Andrew had sped up, hoping to catch up to those two women but alas, when our undead friend exited that corridor he found an empty room, with nobody in sight.
Normally an empty room is not such a bad thing but despite that Andrew here had a rather bad feeling, like a sense of something crawling up his spine slowly but when the warrior turned around there was nothing there except the shadows..and a stone wall instead of the corridor he had entered from. Years of combat instinct kicked in and the warrior instantly grabbed his own weapons, gripping them tightly and raising his shield looking around the area, trying to identify any possible target. And there, he saw it! A black coloured shape moving just out of his range of view, slowly walking side to side strafing back and forth almost like it was waiting for something. Andrew couldn't tell who was sharing this room with him, but he had an inkling it was one of the Bastille's soldiers starting to go hollow, but not quite there yet, as evidenced by the tactical patience this other person was carrying out.
And that is the end of chapter one, I shall start the second one with the actual fight taking place as that gives me an entire chapter for the entire battle, as well as the change I wish to take place.

Gale can be that one mercenary/assassin guy that pops into the story now and then and does some cool shit. Or he can be that one mercenary/assassin guy that dies. Or something. Maybe he can be a baker. A pastry chef.

Not sure if I post here >_> But I'd like to request myself (Static, not LordSoul) to be a rouge/legendary Black Knight who uses a Black Steel katana in each hand and miracles with no shield and a talisman around his neck. Probably a boss, maybe >_> / If not, perhaps a travelling merchant with an irish accent and is just plain crazy. But with a wide collection of everything in a bottomless bag type dealy. >_>

I need bosses so Static you're a boss.
And I updated a rule/thing
And the first three paragraphs of chapter one are up, if you want a small sample. I'll probably write more later when I feel like it.

Uhm, my character synopsis is incomplete. You forgot to list Pagingten as my traveling maiden companion. And also the fact that we're both ridiculously good looking in relation to the ew, everything is gross universe that is dark souls.

Alastor
Random voodoo guy popping out of the blue scaring the living shit out of main character, dropping some kind of odd trinket every once in a while. If more than once, sometimes to help other times just cause he is bored and wanna see the dude go into the trap room to fight 30 annoying enemies, not the hard kind, the annoying time consuming ones.

Grandma Edith
Whenever anyone says or thinks the word "food", she appears in a big bright bubble above the person's head and drops a tray full of fresh baked cookies on top of them. The cookies are good, but they are still hot and fresh out of the oven. She disappears with a 'pop' if anyone touches her bubble. Otherwise, she is a perfect candidate for a long drawn out conversation about cats, muffins, and cite little grandchildren.
