Cynthia looked at the other girl with her bug eyes as she leaned in and to be honest, Cynthia was kind of surprised that she didn't understand the phrase "alternate dimension" as it was pretty simple, at least to Cynthia anyway. "Well! Imagine like a far off content that exists in a separate "world" think of it like a different planet, except you can't really travel there using normal means of transport or anything. It's basically, a different reality kept separated from this one by a magical barrier of some sort" hopefully that would explain it as Cynthia A.Didn't know how else to explain it and B.Had kind of eaten all of her sweets and as such wanted to go run off and do something else right about now! "Want to go do something else Emily? I have an idea" Cynthia giggled and licked Emily's face again smiling happily as she thought about her plan. The thing that Cynthia wanted to do was sneak into a local bakery and mess around inside making cakes and other stuff which may not really seem that evil but eh, Cynthia and her little acts of villainy where done more for her own amusement and entertainment than to actually be evil. Anyway, hopefully Emily would accept Cynthia's explanation and also agree to go along with her little bakery break in plot and if not? Then well... hopefully Emily would have a better idea of what the two of them could do. |

Emily had known that she was on the right track. There’d been an illicit book of magic that she’d stolen from the sorceror in the village, a book that had spoken of a way to open gateways between these worlds. That was the term that had appeared in it and she had just had it confirmed. She grinned and briefly felt like turning a pirouette in acknowledgment of being correct. “That is what I sort of thought but I wanted to make sure. There’s not much point in having knowledge that I can’t use or is totally wrong. At least I grasp the concept now. Thanks for your help, Cynthia!” The look in her insectile companion’s eye was irresistible to the pale-skinned teenager. She was all too familiar with that look and it was one that spelled an end to boredom. Whatever it was that her acquaintance was planning, it was something that Emily wanted in on and she didn’t even know what it was yet. She leaned forward in her closest approximation of eagerness. “Ooh whatever your idea is, I bet it’ll be fun! Lead the way!” |

Cynthia judged that from the grin which to her meant that the other girl she was with had just received some good news, most likely related to the fact that Emily had asked about Cynthia's other world. Anyway, the youngish insect girl was more than happy that she had been able to help her new friend and as a result of that Cynthia dived at Emily and gave her a massive hug which also involved tackling her to the ground but that was not-necessary to be mentioned at this point of time. Anyway, for a few moment Cynthia remained there hugging her friend but as it seemed Emily wanted in Cynthia's idea the young insect girl got up allowing her new friend to get up as well. "Well! My idea is to break into a local bakery and mess around with all there stuff!" and with that, Cynthia got up and pulled Emily to her feet than ran off through the streets of Trillium until the two of them came across the bakery, which was of course closed. "Sooo....let's break in!" Picking up a nearby rock off the ground Cynthia broke the glass of the door, which luckily nobody heard, and then reached in and unlocked the door from the inside. Stepping back Cynthia pushed the door open and then ran into the bakery bouncing around in excitement at the prospect of being able to have some real fun now! And while yes, it was probably a little bit silly for her to get so excited over baking cupcakes and the like, you had to realise that Cynthia was kind of hyper due to all that sugar she ate and of course, she was also super excited about this whole affair. |

While on some level, Emily knew that breaking in and out of places was a good way for the local constabulary to get their hands on her, she couldn’t resist the chance to do something illegal. Of course, breaking into a bakery hardly compared to some of the plans that the redhead had concocted and actually carried out but it would do for now. Boredom wasn’t something that was easy to conquer for the murderous young woman and this worked nicely. As they were now in the back of the bakery, Emily made a mental map of baking. It had been a long time since she’d actually baked anything but she remembered enjoying it. She had very few memories of anything to do with her family but she did recall enjoying cooking quite a bit. A recipe for sweet buns came to her and without even thinking she started to find the ingredients that she’d need to make them. She looked over at Cynthia and shouted. “So what are you going to bake?!” |

Looking over at her new friend Emily Cynthia watched as she gathered up ingredients to make something, but what she would be making was beyond the knowledge of that young insect girl. The one thing Cynthia did know however, was what she planned to make and while she wasn't a perfectly masterful baker, she did remember a few favorite treats of hers from when she was younger and as such the insect girl went around gathering up eggs, milk, flour, yeast and any other things that you'd need inside of making a cake and oh yes, Cynthia's chosen treat was a super large chocolate cake! "I am going to make a super tasty chocolate cake!" And with that Cynthia got around to baking by finding a large bowl and mixing everything together with took a few minutes and oh yes, Cynthia was purposely making the largest mess possible which was when it occurred to her she hadn't put the oven on, it would take it a few moments to actually heat up. Anyway, putting the mixture down for a few moments Cynthia turned her insect body around and bent down towards the oven setting the temperature then standing back to let it heat up. Anyway, with the oven starting to heat up Cynthia went back to prepping the mixture with her scorpion tail swaying side to side. |

It never really occurred to Emily that what they were doing was an awful misuse of someone else’s property. She was caught up in the fact that she was making a possibly useful contact with someone new as well as doing something that prevented boredom. She needed to keep herself occupied and this was doing it. She was also quite fascinated by watching Cynthia’s strange tail moving like a pendulum. As she started to mix all of the dry ingredients together for her sweet buns, she remembered the specific proportions of everything as she unlocked those parts of her memory. She broke eggs into a separate bowl and began to beat them up and as she did it, she wondered about how a girl from another world knew about chocolate cake. It was all so peculiar to her. “Did you….do a lot of this sort of thing with your family? Its the only thing I really remember about mine. I don’t want to think about what happened when I had to leave. I don’t really miss my family but I guess it might be nice to have one.” |

It may not have occurred to Emily that this was an awful misuse of property, and not that Cynthia knew Emily was thinking that but, from Cynthia's stance and viewpoint she was perfectly aware of how illegal what she was doing was and to be honest, the part insect girl didn't give a single damn as she was having too much fun to stop. Anyway, after Cynthia mixed the mixture together and made sure it was ready for cooking she got out a baking tray and lined it with baking paper then began setting the mixture out on it in the proper shapes for baking her buns. Anyway, with the mixture set up on the tray Cynthia got out a set of oven mitts and placed the baking tray inside of the oven which meant for now she had nothing to do and while yes, it would be the responsible thing for her to clean up she had no desire to and was going to leave that for the owners. A mess wasn't the only thing she was going to do as she put a piece of baking paper down on the main counter of the bakery and wrote a message on it in icing saying "I used your bakery to make some buns last night~ Signed C" after all what fun was crime if nobody knew you did it? Anyway, while Cynthia was waiting for her buns to rise in the oven it seemed that Emily had asked a few questions and spoken up about some other things to do with family and the like, which from Cynthia's position was easy as hell to answer. "Yush! After I moved to Fiore with mummy and daddy mummy learned a lot of recipes from this county and they are all super tasty!" After that Cynthia paused in silence for a few moments and looked at Emily with her big insect eyes wondering about what she said and to be honest, it kind of made Cynthia a bit upset as it sounded like Emily didn't remember her family at all and well, being the girl she was Cynthia wanted to help out her new friend. "Aww, don't worry Emily! If you don't have a family I can be your little sister so you're not lonely!" and with that Cynthia hugged Emily rubbing her head against Emily's chest making a strange, but contended, sounding clicking noise and yes, where cats purred when they where happy Cynthia and her race made clicking sounds and yes, the insect girl was well aware of what a women had growing on there chest and she didn't care as to be honest she found that area very warm and soft to snuggle against. |

It seemed strange that her insect-like companion would bother leaving a note to the baker but who was she to dispute it? The poor man or woman would have no idea about who C. actually was unless someone witnessed a green insect girl and a redhead entering the establishment. On some level, Emily wished that someone would notice, just so that she could escape the city with a posse hot on her tail or something like that. On the other hand, getting busted would be a real pain. Trillium wasn’t the only place she’d be a wanted person. She turned her attention back to Cynthia in time to get a hug and have the girl bury her face in a rather embarrassing location. The crimson-haired girl was completely taken by surprise as the hug continued and she didn’t really know what to do. Physical contact with other people made her nervous but she sort of awkwardly rubbed her companion’s back and tried to think of some kind of response. “Uh well...uh...sure! I mean I’ve never had a sister before. Sure you can be my sister.” Her fascination with what she might do with such a relationship, how she might find the insect girl helpful and the powers that someone from another dimension might be able to teach her or impart to her made her want to continue to get close to Cynthia. “So do you travel a lot, Cynthia?” |

As she had been hugging her new adoptive older sister Cynthia's buns had been cooking in the oven and by this point of time they were done, so after the insect girl let go of Emily she walked over to the oven wearing a pair of oven mitts and removed the baking tray setting it down on the main table before turning her attention back to Emily. Speaking of Emily though, Cynthia was ecstatic that she had a sister now as while growing up she'd been a lonely child while growing up and oh, when Emily had rubbed Cynthia's back the insect girl made that happy clicking sound from before again and oh yes, Cynthia very much enjoyed burying her head in that embarrassing location due to the reasons I listed out before. Anyway, now that she had the buns out of the oven Cynthia took them off the baking tray and placed them on a plate before offering her new adoptive sister one and hopefully, Emily would like them as the recipe that Cynthia had used was her mothers and her mother was very good when it came to baked goods and other sweet tasty treats. "Yay!" was all Cynthia said in response to Emily's accepting of the two of them being sisters and as such the insect girl gave Emily another big hug nuzzling her head against that embarrassing location from before and oh yes, knowing Cynthia that would probably become her favourite hug" spot. Smiling widely at Emily Cynthia let go of her and went back to the buns picking one of them up with her delicate lady like hands and then throwing any notion of class or daintiness out of the window as she tore into the bun devouring it in the space of a few seconds. Anyway, having devoured the bun Cynthia returned her attention to Emily again in order to answer her question and it was a rather simple answer as that as Cynthia wasn't really one to travel, hell the only reason she was in Trillium was because she had got lost on her way to the Tartaros guild hall. "Not really! I was looking for the Tartaros guild hall and got a little lost, hence why I'm here!" When Cynthia thought of it that way she was actually grateful for getting lost, after all she'd have never encountered her new big sister otherwise but anyway, Emily's question had been answered and so Cynthia gobbled down another bun. |

A little lost? That’s pretty lost thought Emily as she pondered on how bad one’s sense of direction had to be for that to be the case. Another hug had happened and once again the redhead had endured it in the name of possible personal gain. It was rather uncomfortable but she’d endured worse in order to get what she wanted. She slid her now ready sweet buns from the oven and enjoyed the rich aroma wafting from them. She took one bun into her hands and after juggling it a bit, waiting for it to cool she also crammed it into her mouth. She wasn’t renowned for her elegance and she didn’t really want to be. She finished one and tossed another to Cynthia. “Here! Throw me one of yours and we’ll try each others out. I wanna see if I remembered how to bake. It tastes good to me but I might be wrong. I haven’t any idea if my tastebuds are okay.” She also added. “Why were you headed to the Tartaros guild hall?” |
